    Hambatan Komunikasi Terapeutik Perawat dengan Keluarga Pasien di Ruang ICU (Studi Fenomenologi  Mengenai Komunikasi Terapeutik Perawat dengan Keluarga Pasien di Ruang ICU RSUD dr. Slamet Garut). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur, wawancara, dan observasi. Adapun hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu berupa hambatan komunikasi yang terjadi serta upaya yang dilakukan dalam mengatasi hambatan komunikasi terapeutik perawat dengan keluarga pasien di ICU RSUD dr.Slamet Garut. Upaya yang perawat lakukan untuk mengatasi hambatan komunikasi dengan keluarga pasien diantaranya menggunakan bahasa yang dimengerti bersama, pendekatan secara personal, memanggil anggota keluarga yang lain, menggunakan media (alat yang akan digunakan) dan melihat hasil observasi. &nbsp

    In the 2019 general election, PSI or the Indonesian Solidarity Party which was formed in 2014 carried one of the candidates who is the chairman of PSI itself, Grace Natalie. As a new party, PSI certainly has certain strategies to increase public awareness of PSI, especially towards Grace Natalie as one of the candidates promoted by PSI. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the poster used as a Grace Natalie campaign tool in increasing student awareness about Grace Natalie as one of the candidates promoted by PSI. The population of this study were students of the Communication Science class of 2018 Universitas Negeri Jakarta.. The results of this study showed that the poster was an effective media in increasing awareness among students of the Communication Studies Program class of 2018 Universitas Negeri Jakarta

    Pengaruh Kualitas Layanan Pramugari Terhadap Kepuasan Penumpang Maskapai Batik Air

    Competition in air transport services is currently growing rapidly. Batik Air is a Indonesian airline that was founded in March 2013 under the Lion group. The airline offers premium services or so-called full-service flight. The purpose of this research is to determine how much influence the service quality provided by flight attendants has on the level of passenger satisfaction among customers of Batik air. This research applied quantitative approach.  The sample of this research is 312 people who have flown with Batik Air on the route Manado - Jakarta route minimum of 2 times. The sampling method used non-probability techniques by using purposive sampling as its foundation. This research used a questionnaire as the research instrument and analyzed using simple regression. The result of the simple regression on this research is Y = -0,535 + 1,101X. The results of this research indicate that there is significant influence between the service quality of flight attendants and the satisfaction of passengers of Batik Air airline. Service quality affects customer satisfaction and has a very high correlation with the figure of 79.6% with the remaining 20,4% affected by the other factor. Further research is recommended on this topic, adding more variables such as passenger loyalty for Batik Air.   Keyword: Service Quality, Passenger Satisfaction, Flight Attendant

    ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to explain how mechanism of construction about woman in cosmetic product Youtube advertisement.This research used constructivist paradigm Semiotics Model of Roland Barthes as its visual analysis method. There were three main findings of this research (1) Denotation of this ads is to innsipe Indonesia woman to  o dare to explore with the color of the makeup on their faces to become as beautiful as Sumba Island; (2) Connotation of this advertisement further emphasizes racial inequality in the Indonesian cosmetic market, where only women of the Mongoloid and Austronesian race who are categorized as beautiful use makeup and become the main commodity target of the cosmetics market, not the Melanesian race; (3) The myth that develops among Indonesian women in physical beauty is meant by accentuating white skin, slim body, having a tall posture, having long beautiful hair, sharp nose, sensual lips, and so on has grown into the social reality of women in Indonesia. Keywords: Constructivism, Semiotics, Woman     ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan bagaimana mekanisme konstruksi tentang wanita dalam iklan produk kosmetik di Youtube. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis Model Semiotika Roland Barthes sebagai metode analisis visualnya. Ada tiga temuan utama dari penelitian ini (1) Denotasi iklan ini adalah untuk menggoda wanita Indonesia agar berani bereksplorasi dengan warna riasan wajah agar seindah Pulau Sumba; (2) Konotasi iklan ini lebih menekankan pada ketimpangan rasial di pasar kosmetik Indonesia, di mana hanya perempuan ras Mongoloid dan Austronesia yang dikategorikan cantik menggunakan makeup dan menjadi komoditas utama sasaran pasar kosmetik, bukan ras Melanesia; (3) Mitos yang berkembang di kalangan perempuan Indonesia dalam kecantikan fisik yang dimaksud dengan menonjolkan kulit putih, tubuh langsing, postur tinggi, rambut panjang indah, hidung mancung, bibir sensual, dan sebagainya telah berkembang menjadi realitas sosial perempuan di Indonesia.     Analisis Kemampuan Public Speaking Kepala Sekolah Tingkat Smp Negeri Di Kota Banda Aceh

    Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Kemampuan Public Speaking Kepala Sekolah Tingkat SMP Negeri di Kota Banda Aceh”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan public speaking kepala sekolah dalam menyampaikan pidatonya saat rapat bersama guru  dan  karyawan  dan  saat  menjadi  pembina  upacara  pada  upacara bendera Hari Senin di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori retorika Aristoteles, dengan menetapkan beberapa kriteria untuk menilai kemampuan public speaking kepala sekolah dalam sebuah pidato yang didasarkan pada asumsi retoris logos, pathos, dan ethos. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data untuk penelitian ini dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan dokumentasi terhadap lima informan yang ditetapkan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kriteria informan dalam penelitian ini adalah merupakan kepala sekolah SMP Negeri di Kota Banda Aceh, telah menjabat sebagai kepala sekolah minimal selama dua tahun, dan pernah menjadi instruktur/pembicara pada forum pertemuan kepala sekolah SMP tingkat provinsi dan atau tingkat nasional minimal satu kali. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kelima informan menyampaikan pidato dengan menggunakan bahasa/istilah/kata yang santun, bertutur kata secara rapi dan mudah  dipahami,  dapat  menghidupkan  suasana  dan  berinteraksi  dengan baik dengan audiens, memiliki wawasan yang luas dalam menyampaikan pidatonya, dan mengenal dengan baik siapa audiens mereka. Komunikasi non verbal yang ditunjukkan kepala sekolah secara keseluruhan juga bersifat positif, terbuka, dan tidak menjaga jarak dengan audiens. Kepala sekolah juga menggunakan metode ekstemporan dalam menyampaikan pidatonya saat rapat bersama guru dan karyawan dan saat menjadi pembina upacara pada upacara bendera Hari Senin di sekolah.     Abstract This article discussed about diversity and the production management of an annual event program in order to welcome the Christmas and New Year 2018 – 2019. The program called the Christmas and New Year Pre Event program 2018 – 2019 with the theme of "Sharing Love in Diversity". This program presented by Metro TV as the pioneer of news background television in Indonesia. The purpose of this program is to provide education and perspectives from several figures representing millennials until the old one about diversity or multiculturalism and also the meaning of tolerance in Indonesia with a mini talk-show setting which had a relaxed image but weighted material.             The creation of a good production management is one of the benchmarks to decide the success of an event program. At this stage the research used four main functions of production managements: (1) the planning function. (2) The organizing function in the preproduction process. (3) The directing function which influence the production process. (4) The supervisory function in the post production process based on the field observations. The production process used the interview by appointment method; that was an interview adjusting to the interviewees’ time and location. This program presented to be a conciliatory event when Indonesia was in grieve in the turning year between 2018 and 2019.             Based on the research, it shows that the production management program of Christmas and New Year Pra Event 2018 - 2019 only implemented some of the standard of operations (SOP) whilst the rest was not conducted such as rehearsal. However, the processes could run very well and relate with the diversity theme. The management also implemented the four functions of production management in every step of the project. The main team which consisted of four people in this program always did sudden evaluation and fixed the weaknesses as soon as possible. The team consequently experienced some obstacles. However, the team could achieve the success in the end.   Keywords : Metro TV, Mini Talk-show, Sharing Love in Diversity   Abstrak             Artikel ini membahas mengenai kebinekaan dan manajemen produksi sebuah program event yang terjadi setahun sekali dalam rangka menyambut peringatan Natal dan Tahun Baru 2018 – 2019 yang dipersembahkan oleh Metro TV dengan background televisi berita pertama di Indonesia yakni program Pra Event Natal dan Tahun Baru 2018 – 2019 di Metro TV dengan tema “Berbagi Kasih dalam Kebinekaan”. Tujuan dari program ini adalah memberikan edukasi dan pandangan dari beberapa tokoh yang mewakili kaum millennial hingga tua tentang keberagaman atau multikulturalisme beserta makna toleransi yang ada di Indonesia dengan format mini talkshow yang memiliki kesan santai tetapi dengan materi yang berbobot.             Terciptanya manajemen produksi yang baik adalah salah satu tolak ukur berhasilnya sebuah program acara, pada tahapan ini penelitian menggunakan empat fungsi utama manajemen produksi yaitu fungsi perencanaan dan fungsi pengorganisasian pada proses pra produksi, fungsi pengarahan dan memberikan pengaruh pada proses produksi serta fungsi pengawasan pada proses pasca produksi berdasarkan observasi dilapangan. Pada proses produksinya menggunakan metode interview by appointment yaitu wawancara dengan menyesuaikan narasumber berdasarkan lokasi maupun waktunya. Program ini hadir sebagai pendamai dengan melihat keadaan Indonesia yang sedang berduka pada penghujung pergantian tahun 2018 ke 2019.             Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa manajemen produksi program Pra Event Natal dan Tahun Baru 2018 – 2019 menggunakan standar SOP yang tidak semuanya dilakukan, seperi rehearsal tetapi prosesnya berjalan lancar sesuai dengan tema yaitu tentang keberagaman dan menerapkan keempat fungsi manajemen produksi pada setiap prosesnya. Tim inti pada program ini juga selalu melakukan evaluasi dadakan dan segera memperbaiki kekurangan meskipun hanya terdiri dari empat orang yang beberapa kali mengalami kewalahan, namun dibalik itu semua mampu mencapai keberhasilan.   Kata Kunci : Metro TV, Mini Talkshow, Berbagi Kasih dalam Kebinekaa

    Pengaruh Kegiatan Corporate Social Responsibility Terhadap Reputasi PT. PLN (Persero)

    ABSTRACT   On August 4, 2019, PT. PLN (Persero) is experiencing a crisis due to blackouts in Banten, DKI Jakarta and parts of West Java which have caused many losses. Approximately 21.9 million subscribers cannot enjoy electricity, economic activities, telecommunications, and transportation is disrupted. As a result, the increase in negative sentiment in the mass media and social media towards PT PLN (Persero). The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the influence of CSR activities on post-crisis reputation experienced by PT PLN (Persero) on August 4, 2019. The theory used as the crutch to guide this research is Resources Based Theory (Barney, 1991). Resource Based Theory is used to explain the reasons behind the involvement of CSR practices or initiatives by institutions, where this theory is considered a reputation as a valuable intangible resource that can help develop competitive advantage (Roberts & Dowling, 2002). The approach used in this research is quantitative. The results of this study are the output of regression analysis, the coefficient of determination or R square is 0.606, which implies that the effect of the independent variable 'CSR' on the dependent variable of reputation is 60.6%, and the rest is influenced by other variables. As for the coefficient table, it can be seen that the t value is 12.270 with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant effect of the CSR variable on the reputation variable. Keywords: CSR; PT. PLN; Reputation.   ABSTRAK   Pada tanggal 4 Agustus 2019, PT. PLN (Persero) mengalami krisis akibat pemadaman listrik (black out) di Banten, DKI Jakarta dan sebagian daerah Jawa Barat yang menimbulkan banyak kerugian. Sekitar 21,9 juta pelanggan tidak bisa menikmati layanan listrik, kegiatan ekonomi, telekomunikasi, hingga transportasi terganggu. Akibatnya meningkatnya sentiment negatif di media massa dan media social terhadap PT.PLN (Persero)Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauhmana pengaruh antara kegiatan CSR terhadap reputasi pasca krisis yang dialami PT.PLN (Persero)  pada tanggal 4 Agustus 2019. Teori yang digunakan sebagai penopang untuk memandu penelitian ini adalah Resources Based Theory (Barney, 1991). Teori Berbasis Sumberdaya digunakan untuk menjelaskan alasan di balik keterlibatan praktik CSR atau inisiatif oleh lembaga, di mana teori ini dianggap reputasi sebagai sumber daya tak berwujud yang berharga yang dapat membantu mengembangkan keunggulan kompetitif (Roberts & Dowling, 2002). Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu output analisis regresi didapatkan nilai koefisien determinasi atau R square sebesar 0,606, yang mengandung pengertian bahwa pengaruh variabel bebas/independent ‘CSR’ terhadap variabel terikat/dependent reputasi adalah sebesar 60,6 %, dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain. Sedangkan untuk tabel koefisien, dapat diketahui nilai t hitung sebesar 12,270 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, maka Ho ditolak, dan Ha diterima, yang berarti ada pengaruh yang signifikan variabel CSR terhadap variabel Reputasi.     Perencanaan dan Manajemen Komunikasi dalam Membangun Citra Pelayanan Jasa Outsourcing

    Communication aims to obtain common ground between the actors of communication. Interactions that occur between outsourcing employees and clients certainly contain quite complex communication phenomena. Clients certainly expect excellent service from outsourcing employees. The general problem formulation in this research is to examine how far the influence of communication planning and management can influence the image of outsourcing services. The theory is based on the Management by Objective Theory pioneered by Peter Drucker. The principle behind Management by Objective (MBO) is to ensure that every employee has a clear understanding of the goals or objectives of the organization, just as they understand their roles and responsibilities in achieving those goals. The results of research carried out produce that there is a significant influence related to the influence of planning and communication management on the image of outsourcing services. The mean on the effect of communication planning is slightly higher with a range of 0.1 compared to communication management. But both of them have almost the same mean values ​​of 3.84 and 3.74.     Mass media has an important role to construct the community about the discourse that is built or events that occur. Event packed into discourse through production so well that people believe in the news. mass media also has a role to channel information and public education. This is caused by journalists producing texts, discourses that have been disconnected by the mass media have a high value of trust in the perspective of the community. Whereas the concept of truth presented by the media is not true truth, but rather something that society considers as truth or the mass media that determines truth. In this study, researchers sought to uncover how a discourse was produced so as to construct social patterns of society, and see how the ideology contained in the discourse, as well as how the results of the context of the news discourse produced to the public. This study analyzes 1 news and 8 other news as material for analysis of social distance as a step to prevent the spread of the corona virus with a qualitative approach and the Teun A. Van Dijk analysis method. In the process of analysis of this study revealed that the production of text in the coverage of "About Social Distance, How the Government Prevents the Spread of Corona Virus" on detik.com has topics that tend to support the term social distance. The plot and style of the news are made as supporttopics. Ideology contained in the production of the text is a government tool to construct the community in the effort to handle and pandemic birus corona and as a public servant to provide education in dealing with the corona virus. Then there are impacts that occur related to the context of social reporting. Impacts that occur such as the pros and cons of social distance, economic decline, social behavior is greatly changed, changes in the teaching and learning system in education, disruption of religious ritual activities.
