HAMBATAN PARTISIPASI PETANI DALAM PENGEMBANGAN PADI ORGANIK DI KABUPATEN TASIKMALAYA
Farmers\u27 participation in the group is required to overcome the various obstacles of deficiency, commitment development, motivation encouragement, credibility establishment, and bargaining power strengthening. Results of processing using ISM indicated that the end target of the completion of participation obstacles is to resolve the bottleneck of "Keeping drains impurities from chemical", "Mutual in doing work in the rice fields," as well as "Formulating fertilizers, organic pesticides, and MOL". To overcome the above-mentioned barriers to participation, resolution of obstacle to participation "Group meeting" must be conquered in advance. Therefore, in order to increase the participation of farmers, there is a need make more detailed study on the issue of the deficiency, commitment, motivation, credibility, and the bargaining power of farmers owned, to find out opportunities to improve those factors. IDENTIFIKASI MIKROBA POTENSIAL FUNGI MIKORIZA ARBUSKULA (FMA) PADA LAHAN PASCATAMBANG PT. HOLCIM INDONESIA Tbk. CIBINONG, BOGOR, JAWA BARAT
Impact of mining activity on environment is very significant, especially in the form of pollution on surface water and ground water. Therefore, it is necessary to rehabilitate the damaged ecosystem in post mining land by introduction of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) as source of local potential inoculants. The objective of this research was identifying AMF species on the basis of size, color, and ornament of the spore. Research method comprised identification of species and number of AMF spore in shale post mining location (Site-1) and limestone post mining location (Site-2) with 4 replications for each site. Research result showed the finding of four genera of AMF, namely genera Glomus sp, Scutelospora sp, Gigaspora sp and Acaulosopra sp. Identification result in the first location showed findings of AMF Glomus-1 as many as 186 spores, Glomus-2 as many as 71 spores, Scutelospora as many as 43 spores, Acaulospora as many as 18 spores and Gigaspora as many as 8 spores. On the second site there were identified AMF spores of Glomus-1 as many as 112 spores, Glomus-2 as many as 45 spores, Scutelospora as many as 12 spores and Gigaspora as many as 9 spores. Analysis of Soil Erosion Hazardous Level In Jatipurno Sub-District Of Wonogiri District
The aim of this research was to analyze erosion hazardous level (TBE) and predict the actual erosion (A) at Jatipurno Sub-District and planning of soil conservation when the actual erosion is more than the threshold at Jatipurno District. The USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) was used to predict actual erosion and erosion hazardous level then planning of soil conservation. The result showed that actual erosion level was varied from very light to heavy. The very light erosion, in range 0,2 ton/ha/yr to 7,8 ton/ha/yr the areas is about 1.879,19 ha (43,5%). The light erosion is 51,96 ton/ha/yr the areas is about 788,40 ha (18,3%). The moderate erosion is 92,83 ton/ha/yr the areas is about 694.95 ha (16,1%). The heavy erosion in range 209,84 ton/ha/yr to 377,21 ton/ha/yr the areas is about 952,80 ha (22,1%). Erosion hazardous level was varied from very light to very heavy. The very light erosion hazardous level covered areas of 1.034,77 ha (23,98%), the light erosion hazardous level covered areas 1.443 ha (33,44%), the heavy erosion hazardous level covered areas 1.204 ha (27,91%), the very heavy erosion hazardous level covered areas 632,88 ha (14,67%). Actual erosion dominated by very light level and TBE by the light level. Soil conservation planning is carried out by vegetative and mechanical conservation measures, such as planting variations of cover crops and terraces built in accordance with slope land and soil depths, land management according to local environmental and cultural preservation regulations and cooperation of all parties in environmental management can be done to prevent and minimize erosion
EVALUASI IMPLEMENTASI PRINSIP EKOWISATA BERBASIS MASYARAKAT DALAM PENGELOLAAN CLUNGUP MANGROVE CONSERVATION SUMBERMANJING WETAN, MALANG
Clungup Mangrove Conservation (CMC) is a new ecotourism destination managed by a community group called \u27Bhakti Alam Sendang Biru\u27. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of the 5 principles of Community-based Ecotourism in the management of CMC, namely: (1) Conservation principle (Nature conservation principle, 6 criterias and culture conservation, 4 criterias), (2) Community participation principle (7 criterias), (3) Economic principle (5 criterias), (4) Education principle (5 criterias), and (5) Tourism principle (6 criterias). This research method is descriptive qualitative. Source of the data obtained are primary data obtained through observation to the site to conduct an interview to the informants and secondary data obtained through the study of literature and documents. The data obtained were processed with descriptive techniques. The results showed that in general the 5 principles of community-based ecotourism have been implemented in the management of CMC although some criteria for each principle there is not yet implemented, is being planned, pursued, and optimized
BIAYA EKSTERNAL DAN INTERNALISASI LIMBAH PABRIK KELAPA SAWIT
The product of waste water from the process of millers may cause externality. In order to prevent the externality, millers has to internalize it by developing an installation of waste water treatment. The current is not sufficient for treating whole waste from the CPO process, therefore, can generate externality and external costs to community. This study aims to estimate the external cost and propose three alternatives of alternative of internalizations. The result of the research shows that the external cost is 146,194,433 IDR/year. ANALISIS PERUBAHAN PENGGUNAAN LAHAN DAN DEBIT ALIRAN DI SUB DAS CICATIH
Cicatih is one of sub watershed which categorized as a good condition. However, if the land use allocation planning is not correctly, it is likely causing watershed degradation. The aim of this study was to assess land use changes and its influence on water discharging in Cicatih sub watershed. Some data were collected and analyzed including: rainfall, discharge, volume of discharge, flow regime coefficient (KRA), annual flow coefficient (KAT), land use change, and watershed conditions. There is a significant land use change in Cicatih sub watershed during period of 2009-2014. There are several significant increasing land uses, ie: dryland farming (77.26%), settlements (51.39%), and plantation (49.75%). Several significant decreasing land uses during the period, ie: scrub (96.78%), mixed dryland farming (78.74%), and rice field (74.50%). Land use changes in Cicatih sub watershed have an influence on the decreasing of watershed hydrological conditions. The value of KRA in the period 2009-2014 increase the category from medium (S) to very high (ST). In addition, the value of KAT also shows increase the category from medium (S) to high (T). The increase in dryland farming was due to large conversion of mixed dryland farming and scrub, settlements conversion from rice field and scrub, while the natural forest and plantations are converted from the scrub
ESTIMASI POLA DISPERSI DEBU, SO2 DAN NOX DARI INDUSTRI SEMEN MENGGUNAKAN MODEL GAUSS YANG DIINTEGRASI DENGAN SCREEN3
Industrial activities are sources of air pollution. Pollutants dispersion in air influenced by meteorological condition, such as wind speed, wind direction, air temperarture, air turbulence and atmospheric stability. Air quality monitoring is important in controling the worst condition of pollutants concentration. Air quality monitoring is not easy to do, because it is time consuming, costly and need technology, so that air quality model is developed as an alternative air quality monitoring. This research used gaussian model, a model for predicting pollutant concentrations in downwind area. This model is applied in cement industry, focusing on major pollutants of the cement industry. Sources of pollutants consist of dust, SO2 and NOx. The modeling results showed maximum ground level concentration of dust, SO2 and NOx occur at night (7-10 PM). The maximum ground level concentration of dust, SO2 and NOx at night respectively were 13.16 μg / Nm3, 32.69 μg / Nm3, 100.21 μg / Nm3 (N1 stack) and 14.65 μg / Nm3, 36.65 μg / Nm3, 128.10 μg / Nm3 (N2 stack) based from downwind scenarios at night when atmospheric condition was stable. The distance where the maximum ground level concentration occured has a strong correlation with wind speed (-0.82 ≤ r ≤ -1). Based on gaussian model output, air quality monitoring should be executed at night time (stable atmospheric condition) and located at ground level where maximum concentration occured. Increasing 50m of stack can decrease 57% pollutant concentrations in stable condition
ANALISIS PENGARUH ADOPSI ISPO TERHADAP PERBAIKAN KINERJA PENGELOLAAN LINGKUNGAN DAN PERUBAHAN SOSIAL EKONOMI MASYARAKAT
Indonesian Sustainability Palm Oil (ISPO) is requirement for palm oil private business in the effort to preserve the environment, increase economic activities, and social activities of the community. The environmental management conducted by the company is analyzed by qualitative descriptive approach by comparing the condition of management before and after the implementation of ISPO. Measurement of the influence of CSR program as implementation in ISPO to the changing socio-economic condition of the community is done by quantitative approach with simple linear regression statistic analysis method. This study aims, first to analyze eh impacts of ISPO adoption in improving the environmental management performances of the company, second to analyze the influence of CSR program to the socio-economic condition of the community. ISPO implementation impacts on; first, environmental benefits obtained by the company include; (1) increase discharge and quality of processed wastewater for Land Application, (2) reduce of CO2 emissions 2.134.299 tons/year; (3) reduce of air emission and noise level in plant area; (4) reduce case of land fires and work accidents, (5) improve groundwater quality and Kandis river water quality, (6) improve of worker\u27s capability and welfare. Second, the economic benefits obtained by the company, including; (1) increase of CPO production by 827 tons/year, and PKO production by 75 tons/year, (2) cost savings IDR 98.228.703/year from IPAL management improvements, and (3) Increase of company\u27s revenue from selling hazardous waste to third party by IDR 343.734.000/year. EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM ADIWIYATA TERHADAP PERILAKU RAMAH LINGKUNGAN WARGA SEKOLAH DI KOTA DEPOK
Since 2006, Ministry of Environment has promote environmental education, within the framework of a program for education for sustainable development to raise enviromental knowledge and awareness called Adiwiyata. Adiwiyata program runs on a voluntary and formal school in Indonesia. The Adiwiyata school program aims to encourage schools to adopt behaviours that are respectful towards the environment. As a prize of appreciation, the Ministry of Environment gives Adiwiyata awards to a schools that has succeed to met the criteria of green school environment. In 2014, Depok City government proposed nine schools to become National Adiwiyata School, but only six schools has pass the verification of healthy, clean, and beautiful encvironment and was awarded National Adiwiyata thropy and certificate. The study was conducted in order to test the level of knowledge, attitudes and behaviour of the school community that implemented Adiwiyata program, as well as the effectiveness of the program is to improve the knowledge and awaraness through policy insight, implementation of environmental based curriculum, environmental participatory based activity, and sustainable management of supporting facilitie, to support the responsible for the protection and management of environment. KERAGAMAN DAN ESTIMASI SIMPANAN KARBON PADA TEGAKAN HUTAN PANTAI UTARA CAGAR ALAM PULAU SEMPU JAWA TIMUR
Abstract. Research on stand diversity and carbon stock in north coastal forest of Sempu Island Nature Reserve was conducted in May 2015. The study areas were focused on the coastal forest vegetation of Teluk Semut, Wedhen Cilik Beach, Caluk Ilang Beach, and Semenanjung Beach. The methods used for data collection were standard vegetation analysis with purposive sampling of 20 × 20 m2 plots along the exploration track by considering the representation of vegetation condition. A total of 51 tree species were recorded (belonging to 40 generas and 26 families) within the study area. Two threatened tree species found, according to IUCN Red List, were Myristica teysmannii Miq. (status: Endangered) dan Sindora javanica (Koord. & Valeton) Backer (status: Vulnerable). Stand diversity in Sempu Island coastal forest was high. Stand with diameter > 20 cm had high contributor in Sempu Island coastal forest. Maranthes corymbosa was higher contributor for carbon stoage in Sempu Island coastal forest.
