Commercialization and tourism: Challenges in sustainable wildlife animal conservation-based Theme Park management in Central Java area
The purpose of this study was to determine the impact, challenges, and concept of ecotourism in managing theme parks based on sustainable wildlife animal conservation in Central Java. This research uses qualitative exploratory research. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews and direct observation as primary data, while documentation, questionnaires, and literature studies are secondary data. Data analysis is divided into several stages: data coding, finding patterns, labeling themes, and developing category systems. The results showed that, first, positive impacts were obtained from conservation and sustainable tourism. Second, management challenges include external (outside the company scope) and internal (within the company scope). The external challenge most often faced by managers is the behavior of tourists who do not comply with the appeal in the theme park area. Meanwhile, the most crucial internal challenge is insufficient funding sources for the management and development of infrastructure. Third, ecotourism offers an alternative concept for sustainable management of theme parks economically and in conservation but requires large funds for realization. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact, challenges, and concept of ecotourism in managing theme parks based on sustainable wildlife animal conservation in Central Java. Deadlock in maintaining Wosi Rendani protected forest in Manokwari Regency, West Papua
Protection forest covers 29.7% of the state forest area, which has role a very important. The research aims to determine what factors cause the deadlock in maintaining the Wosi Rendani Protection Forest (HLWR). The research method used is descriptive technique, development and evaluative method. The results showed that the local and central government negligence in determining the prolonged HLWR made the area of the decrease drastically. The formation of the province of West Papua with the provincial capital in Manokwari, the impact along the Drs.Esau Sesa st., there is not an inch of empty land. Low community participation, they feel ignorant of the existence of forests in protecting, protecting and maintaining HLWR. The diversion of the transportation route connecting Sowi with Jalan Trikora Rendani on the east side of the HLWR has made the roads filled with built-up areas.. Community empowerment low around make owners of customary rights to sell the land, regardless of protected fores. We believe that the deadlock in the designation of protected forests can provide new insights so that they are not repeated in policies to maintain / release protected forests in Indonesia and even the world
The growth Shorea leprosula Miq. on various slopes and directions of slopes in Gunung Dahu Research Forest, Bogor
Shorea leprosula Miq is a Dipterocarps forest plantation that has the prospect of being developed because it is a fast-growing species with high economic value. Given its commercial importance, this study was conducted to analyze the effect of slope class and slope direction on growth. Data were collected using the census method on S.leprosula stands with a spacing of 2m x 2m and 4m x 8m. The direction of the slope is determined based on the configuration of the slope according to the cardinal directions, while the slope of the land is determined based on the classification of the slope class of the land. The results showed that the slope class, slope direction, and the interaction between factors had a significant effect on the growth of S.leprosula. The interaction between the slope class and the direction of the slope produces the highest average annual increment of diameter in the flat slope class with the direction of the slope facing north, which is 1.79 m / year while the highest annual increment of the total average height is in the very steep slope class with to the slope facing to the north at 0.82 m / year
