THE SPIRIT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN BUSINESS STUDENTS, NON-BUSINESS STUDENTS, AND SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTREPRENEUR
There is debate as to whether entrepreneurs are born or can be created through education. Many business schools were established to produce entrepreneurs, but the fact is that many succesful entrepreneurs are not graduates of business schools. This study aims to examine empirically the entrepreneurial spirit of three different sample groups students who undertook a business course (accounting students), non-business students (engineering students), businessmen who are already involved in business activities (entrepreneurs). This study used a survey method. Data were analyzed using ANOVA. The total sample of this research were 254 respondents. The result showed that there was no empirical evidence regarding the entrepreneurial differences in the three groups. It was concluded that entrepreneurial skills are either there or not from birth. REVISITING STUDENTS’ ENTREPRENEURIAL INTENTION IN INDONESIA: A THEORY OF PLANNED BEHAVIOR APPROACH
The purpose of this study is to verify and measure entrepreneurial intentions among university students as affected by changes in the entrepreneurial environment in Indonesia. The researchers use the Theory of Planned Behavior and the concept of entrepreneurial intention to support the study. The unit of analysis is university students who are currently exposed to changes in the entrepreneurial environment. This study uses a quantitative approach with purposive sampling as the sampling technique. The questionnaire was distributed, and 631 sample responses were received from several universities. EARNING QUALITY AND TAX PLANNING: EVIDENCE ON INDONESIA LISTED COMPANY
This study aims at determining the effect of tax planning, profit growth and firm size on earnings quality and also to test the effect of tax planning as moderating variable to influence of profit growth, size and earnings quality. This research is different from previous research, the difference is that this research makes tax planning as a moderation so that it can see whether tax planning can strengthen or weaken the influence of profit growth and firm size on earnings quality.The data used is secondary data from Indonesian listed manufacturing companies, hypothesis testing using regression model with partial least square test. This study shows that profit growth directly affects earnings quality and firm size does not affect earnings quality, but after being moderated by tax planning the size of the company has a significant effect on earnings quality. This research finding add understanding in assessing earnings quality with the influence of tax planning so that it can be used as a decision-making consideration
AN INVESTIGATION OF TOURISM MOTIVATION AND TOURIST ATTRACTION OF TOURISTS TO BALI
The purpose of this study was to investigate the motivation of tourists to travel to Bali. This study used a sample with 213 respondents. The analytical tool used is factor analysis with SPSS version 24. The results of the study found two tourism motivation for tourists to vacation in Bali, namely by \u27Traveling & Relax\u27 and \u27Health\u27. We also found the results of research on the tourist attraction of tourists on vacation in Bali, namely \u27Government and Private Sector\u27, \u27Public Service\u27, \u27Bali nature and culture\u27 and \u27holiday and shopping\u27. CAN RELATIONSHIP BENEFITS MAKE CUSTOMERS COMMITTED AND LOYAL?
Tough competition has pushed four-star hotels in Surabaya to manage their competitive strategies. One of them is by providing relational benefits to maintain customer commitment and loyalty. This study is to reveal the impact of relationship benefits on customer loyalty with customer commitment as a mediating variable in four-star hotels in Surabaya. Partial Least Square (PLS) is used to analyze data. It is found that relationship benefits (confidence, social and special treatment benefits) have influenced customer loyalty with commitment as the mediating variable. The results show that relationship benefits have positive and significant impacts to customer commitment; and customer commitment also has positive and significant impact to customer loyalty
EXPLORING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PROCEDURAL JUSTICE AND INNOVATIVE WORK BEHAVIOR IN HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY
The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between procedural justice, knowledge sharing and innovative work behavior. The research model and hypothesis were developed from related literature. The data was collected through survey method on 297 supervisors of four and five star hotels in East Java, Indonesia. The obtained data from the questionnaire were tested with Partial Least Square (PLS) to investigate the research model. The results confirm that procedural justice has positive impact on knowledge sharing. While the effect of knowledge sharing on innovative work behavior is another finding of this research. THE INFLUENCE OF INFLATION RATE, BI RATE, AND EXCHANGE RATE CHANGES TO THE FINANCIAL SECTOR STOCK PRICE INDEX RETURN IN THE INDONESIAN STOCK MARKET
The objective of this study is to find out how macroeconomic factors such as exchange rate changes, BI rate and inflation rate can affect the financial sector stock price index in IDX from 2011 until 2017. Generalize Autoregressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (GARCH) is used as the analysis method in this research to find the fittest model. The results are, only exchange rate change that has significant effect to financial sector stock price index. Inflation and BI rate have no significant effect to financial sector stock price index
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FACTOR INFLUENCE ICT ADOPTION: A CASE of INDONESIAN SMEs
The using of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the industry is growing fast. Nevertheless, Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia do not follow these conditions. The influencing factor of ICT adoption has been identified as internal and external factors. Accordingly, the objective of the study is to identify the influence factor of using ICT adoption in Indonesian SMEs. The conceptual model in this study was the combination between Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory and The Technology-Organization-Environment (TEO) theory. The survey method for 146 SMEs selected conveniently in Indonesia. The distribution of data by online and data obtained is analysed using SEM/Smart-PLS program. SUSTAINABLE FACTORS IN THE HUMAN ASSETS OF DANA HOTEL AS A HERITAGE HOTEL IN SOLO, INDONESIA
This research aims to study what sustainable factors of Dana Hotel in the human assets; and also find out what the status of Dana Hotel, using VRIN analysis (Value, Rarity, Imperfect Imitability, and Non-Substitutability) from Natural Language Data of observation and in-depth interviews in a descriptive qualitative study. In results, in order to achieve sustainability, Dana Hotel has valuable, rare, imperfectly imitable, and non-substitutable factors in the human assets. As the human assets are valuable, rare, imperfectly imitable, and non-substitutable, the status of Dana Hotel is sustainable in the context of human resources. It is concluded that following the success of Dana Hotel, organizations that have those factors or even more, tend to have big opportunities to survive
GAP ANALYSIS OF TRAVELOKA.COM: HOTEL CONSUMERS’ EXPECTATIONS AND PERCEPTIONS OF THE WEBSITE
Traveloka.com is one of the famous online travel agents to make hotel reservation in Indonesia. Consumers making online hotel reservation can sometimes find that the performance of the website does not meet their needs. This study is to analyze the gap between hotel consumer expectations and perceptions on the website dimensions of traveloka.com. It is a quantitative method with 150 respondents who made hotel reservations through traveloka.com. The analysis techniques used are mean test and paired t-test. The results show that there are significant gaps between consumer expectations and perceptions on the website dimensions of traveloka.com. The biggest gap is on the images displayed which are in accordance with the real conditions
