The Effectiveness of Problem Based Learning Model In Term of Students’ Mathematical Communication Skills
This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of problem based learning model in terms of students' mathematical communication skills. The population of this study was all students of grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Pugung, Tanggamus in the academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 135 students, which were distributed into five classes. The sample of this study were students in VIIIA and VIIIB class selected by cluster random sampling technique. The design which was used was a pretest-posttest group design. Data analysis used the Mann-Whitney U test and proportion test. The results of data analysis showed that the mathematical communication skills of students who followed the PBL model were higher than the mathematical communication skills of students who followed conventional learning and the proportion of students who had good categorized of mathematical communication skills was more than 60% of the number of students who followed the PBL model. PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MAHASISWA PADA TEORI BAHASA DAN AUTOMATA MELALUI STRATEGI MURDER
This study aims to describe the improvement of student’s conceptual understanding in Language and Automata theory through MURDER strategy. The population of this study were students of STMIK Tunas Bangsa in academic year 2019/2020 who studied the course of Language and Automata theory. Sample randomly choosed from students who have low mathematical abilities. Data were collected through conceptual understanding test instrument in essay form. Based on data analyzed using Wilcoxon test at 5% significant level, it was concluded that MURDER strategy improved student’s conceptual understanding in low category.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/mtk/v8i2.pp100-10
PENGEMBANGAN HANDOUT DENGAN PENDEKATAN PENDIDIKAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK INDONESIA (PMRI) UNTUK MEMFASILITASI PENALARAN MATEMATIS
The purpose of this study is to produce a mathematics handout with PMRI approach to facilitate students mathematical reasoning on valid and practical matrix material. The research type used in this research and development is the ADDIE model. The stages in the ADDIE model are: analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews and questionnaires. The data collection instruments used were interview sheets, and validation questionnaires (media experts and material experts), practicality questionnaires (student responses). Data analysis used is to calculate the valid and practical scale of the resulting development product. Qualitative data analysis was obtained from the comments or suggestions given by media experts and material experts. Based on the validation results by 2 material experts, it was obtained a percentage of 83% was categorized as valid, and 2 media experts obtained a percentage of 76% in the valid category. The trial was conducted at Muhammadiyah High School 1 Way Jepara with a total of 6 students to see the practicality of the handout developed. The practicality results of the student response questionnaire obtained an average of 79.33% and categorized as practical. Pengaruh Model Cooperative Learning Tipe Think Pair Share Terhadap Peningkatan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa
Abstract: The Influence of Cooperative Learning Think Pair Share Type On Improving Mathemtics Communication Skills of Students . This research aimed to know the influence of the application of Think Pair Share learning model on improving student’s mathematical communication skills. The population of this research was all the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Sukoharjo in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year, distributed into nine classes. The sample of this study was students of class VIII-A as the experimental class and class VIII-B as the control class selected through purposive sampling technique. This research design used the pretest-posstest control group design with essay test. Based on the result of research and discussion, it was concluded that the increase in mathematical communication skills of students who participated in think pair share learning was higher than the increase in mathematical communication skills of students who participated in conventional learning. Thus, Think Pair Share learning model affect the improvement of student’s mathematical communication skills

The Influence of Think Pair Share Model Toward Student’s Mathematical Communication Skill. This research aimed to find out the influence of think pair share (TPS) model toward student’s mathematical communication skill. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th Junior High School state of Natar in academic year 2018/2019. Through purposive random sampling technique, students of class of VII-E and VII-F were chosen as the research sample. This research used the pretest-posttest control group design. The research data in the form of mathematical communication skill scores were obtained by the essay test on presentation data chapter. IMPLEMENTASI METODE SELF-ASSESMENT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS XI IPA SMA NEGERI I BANYUMAS PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19
The purpose of this study is to determine an increasement in student learning outcomes in mathematics learning using the Self-Assessment method in class XI MIPA 2 students, totaling 36 students in Linear Program material at SMA Negeri I Banyumas. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of four steps in the cycle, namely Planning, Action, Observing, and Reflecting. Data collection and analysis techniques were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The test result obtained in the first cycle obtained a class average of 67.05 and a percentage of completeness of 50%. From the Self-Assessment sheet, it is known that students' difficulties are determining the area of completion and modeling the problem into a linear program, so it is necessary to do cycle II to improve student learning outcomes. From the test results in cycle II, it was found that the class average increased to 75.56. Students' learning completeness increased from previously only 50% of students who completed to 70%. The findings of student difficulties written on the Self-Assessment sheet are still dominated by modeling the problem and its objective function. Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa
The Influence of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Cooperative Learning Model toward StudentsConceptual Mathematical Understanding. This research aimed to examine the influence of TSTS towards student’sconceptual mathematical understanding. The population of this research was all the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Kasui Way Kanan in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year as many as 118 student’s that were distributed into four classes. The samples of this research were students of class VIII-C consist of 30 students and VIII-D consist of 30 students which were chosen by purposive sampling technique. This research used the posstest only control group design. The research data were obtained through test of conceptual mathematical understanding. The data analysis of this research used t-test. Research show that the influence of conceptual mathematical understanding of student with TSTS was higher than the influence ofconceptual mathematical understanding of student with conventional learning. PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA DAN INTERNALISASI NILAI KARAKTER DALAM PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK
This study aims to analyze character values in mathematics topics in elementary school thematic learning. The qualitative research with a case study design uses in this study. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, documentation. This study involved two teachers, 15 fourth grade students and one school principal. In testing the validity of the data, the participation extension technique and the observer's persistence were used. Data analysis was performed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the implementation of a thematic approach to mathematics learning has been implemented, in the topic of learning mathematics according to the current theme, mathematics learning has implemented character values according to the theme. however thematic learning is only applied to low classes, namely grades 1, 2 and 3 for high classes 4-6 still applying semi-thematic. EFEKTIFITAS ONLINE LEARNING TERHADAP KETERLIBATAN SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN TEMATIK (MATEMATIKA & IPA) PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness online learning of student involvement in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects on Thematic learning (Mathematics & Science) for elementary school students. Based on the data can be used as a reference for improving the quality of online learning and increasing student involvement in all aspects of learning activities. The method used is descriptive qualitative based on data from questionnaires, questionnaires, video & audio recordings and student work results and then described descriptively. Respondents in this study were 30 students who were selected using simple random sampling technique. While the data analysis uses a qualitative analysis model which consists of three stages: data reduction, data display and conclusion or verification. Based on existing data analysis, the effectiveness of online learning in learning Mathematics and Science at SDN Sitirejo 4 Wagir and SDKr. MODUL PERSAMAAN LINGKARAN BERBASIS SEARCH, SOLVE, CREATE AND SHARE (SSCS)
The purpose of the development of this mathematics module is to produce products in the form of mathematical modules based on Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) material that is valid and practical. The type of research that is used is research and development (R&D). The model that is used is the R&D model developed by Sugiyono who has been modified. The stages which are used in this development research only stage 1 through 7. The instruments which are used were expert validation questionnaire and questionnaire response of students. Based on the results of expert validation obtained the results of the validation of material expert 78,84% (decent categories), linguists expert 85% (category of very feasible) and design expert 83,6% (a very feasible category), so that the overall percentage of the validator obtained a total percentage of 82,48% (very feasible category). The results of the small group trial were obtained from the response of students of the mathematics module was 84% (a very practical category). Based on the results, it can be concluded that the SSCS-based mathematics module material for students’ questions in SMA Negeri 1 Metro is very feasible and very practical to be used as a source of learning mathematics, especially circle material.Keyword: circle; modules; SSCS models DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/mtk/v8i2.pp261-272 Alternative Link -> PD
