PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TREFFINGER BERBANTUAN MEDIA GEOBOARD TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR
The purpose of this study is to examine the average mathematical creative thinking ability of students who received learning with the Treffinger model assisted by Geoboard media compared to students who received learning with expository models, examining the difference in the average technical thinking ability of fourth-graders before and after the implementation of the Treffinger model with the help of Geoboard media, examining the creative thinking skills of students who received learning with the Treffinger model with the help of Geoboard media has reached KKM. Experimental Quasi research with pre-test post-test control group design is carried out in class IV. Analyze data using independent samples t-test, paired sample t-test, and one-sample t-test. The results showed (1) The average mathematical creative thinking ability of students who followed learning using the Treffinger learning model assisted by Geoboard media was better than the mathematical creative thinking skills of students who followed learning using expository learning models. (2) There is an average difference in the mathematical creative thinking ability of grade IV students before and after the use of Treffinger learning models assisted by Geoboard media on roving materials and flat build area. KETERLAKSANAAN PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN SAINTIFIK PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA (STUDI KASUS SMP BANDAR LAMPUNG)
This descriptive study aims to analyze the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in scientific approach to mathematics learning in junior high school. The subjects of this study were four mathematics’ teacher of junior high school in Bandar Lampung. Research data obtained through observation and interviews. The data of this study were analyzed with descriptive statistics that focus on teaching activities in applying scientific approaches, including preliminary, core, and closing activities. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of scientific approach in mathematical learning is 26.1% (low), consists of 20% preliminary activities (low), 8.3% core activities (low), and 50% closing activities (low).http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/mtk/v8i2.pp57-6
PENERAPAN STRATEGI THINK TALK WRITE SEBAGAI UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 5 Salatiga. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan penerapan strategi Think Talk Write dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika, dapat dilihat dari persentase kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada saat pra siklus sebesar 38%, Pada siklus 1 sebesar 40% dan pada siklus II sebesar 85%.Sehingga secara klasikal kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada pra siklus ke siklus I dan ke siklus II terjadi peningkatan yang cukup signifikan dan memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam kriteria rendah meningkat menjadi cukup meningkat menjadi sangat tinggi. Sedangkan untuk nilai hasil belajar matematika berdasarkan kondisi awal sebelum dilakukan penelitian, siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan hanya 0% dari keseluruhan jumlah siswa dengan rata-rata 38,5. Pada siklus I setelah menerapkan metode Think Talk Write, siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 1 siswa atau 3,125% dengan rata-rata 40,3125. Pada siklus II sebanyak 32 siswa atau 100% telah tuntas dengan rata-rata kelas sebesar 85,1875. Dari hasil penelitian diatas menunjukkan strategi Think Talk Write dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan peningkatan hasil belajar pada materi teorema phytagoras kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 5 Kota Salatiga. The effect of problem based learning models that utilizing edutainment on students’ mathematical communication skills
This research aimed to find out the effect of problem based learning models that utilizing edutainment on students’ mathematical communication skills. The population of this research was all students of grades X IPA of SMA Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2018/2019. The sample of this research were students of class X IPA 1 as many as 31 students and X IPA 2 as many as 32 students, that were choosen by cluster random sampling technique. This reseach used pretest-posttest control group design. Data analized using Mann-Whitney U test with = 0,05. Hypothesis test results showed that gain of students’ mathematical communication skills in the problem based learning class that utilizing edutainment was higher than students in the problem based learning class. Based on this analysis it was concluded that the problem based learning model that utilizing edutainment affects the mathematical communication skills of students. PERAN BAHASA DALAM KOMUNIKASI PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SECARA ONLINE PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19
Schools are closed in Indonesia cause COVID-19 Pandemic has been carried out until two months, not only in Indonesia in many countries also in closing temporary schools to control the prevention of COVID-19. Teaching and online learning are new experiences felt by teachers and students, with many consequences. This paper discusses the role of language in communication in learning mathematics. In the COVID-19 Pandemic, mathematical communication skills with the right language are needed in conveying learning, both in-class learning, text in books or assignments, and writing the sentence structure online on the screen of a smartphone or laptop. The goals of this article to know the role language use of teachers when communicating with students for learning in the COVID-19 Pandemic. This research uses a qualitative method. Data was collected through an online questionnaire, observation, and interview. The Goals of this study include that the role of language in online communication mathematics learning is very important to student learning outcomes. Students become more understanding when the teacher explains in the right language. Because learning in the COVID-19 Pandemic through online learning at home, students understand better if the teacher not only provides an explanation in writing on the screen but also the teacher provides a video explanation of the material, which makes it easier than bef6re for students to understanding the material.Keywords: covid-19; e-learning; language; mathematical communication DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/mtk/v8i2.pp153-16
ANALISIS KESULITAN SISWA DALAM MENGERJAKAN SOAL CERITA ARITMATIKA SOSIAL DITINJAU BERDASARKAN GENDER
In our daily lives, Social Arithmetic can be applied easily, but in reality, in the school environment, there are still many students at the junior high school level who are not familiar with Arithmetics. This research wants to determine and analyze the level of difficulty of junior high school students in solving non-routine problems, especially in social arithmetic material In terms of gender. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This study aims to describe the analysis of student difficulties in arithmetic material on Social Arithmetic without any prior treatment. This research was conducted at one of the junior high schools in Soreang. The subjects of this study the sample in this study was taken randomly, were 8 junior high school students, 4 female students, and 4 male students. Based on the research result, the average score for male students and female students have almost the same ability ie 56 and 53. BERPIKIR MATEMATIS ASPEK PEMODELAN MELALUI PENDEKATAN MODEL ELICITING ACTIVITIES (MEAs) PADA SISWA KELAS VIII
This research is a descriptive study that aims to find out the mathematical thinking process of modeling aspects of class VIII students on function material through the Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs) approach. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-2 Palembang 37 Public Middle School, totaling 30 students. The learning process takes place by the steps in the Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs) approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were written tests consisting of 3 questions and interviews. After conducting research, the results of mathematical thinking obtained aspects of student modeling after the implementation of learning with the Model Eliciting Activities (MEAs) approach to the function material in class VIII-2 of SMP Negeri 37 Palembang is that students do more concretization and objectification processes. Students have been able to simplify a problem and make symbols to develop problem-solving strategies. ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN LITERASI MATEMATIKA SISWA SMA DITINJAU DARI GENDER
The purpose of this research is to analyze the mathematics literacy skills of high school students in terms of gender, especially in the material linear program. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data Collection was carried out on the eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Meraksa Aji. The subject was 31 students which consisted of 14 females and 17 males. The data was collected using tests and interviews and analyze use method triangulation. The results showed that female students' literacy skills were better than male students. Female students find the indicators of interpreting mathematics to solve problems, formulate problems systematically and use concepts, facts, procedures, and reasoning in mathematics. Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Think Pair Share Ditinjau dari Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Siswa
This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of TPS type in terms of students’ mathematical communication skills. The population of this study was all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 19 Bandarlampung in even semester academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 319 students. The research samples were students of class VII-E as many as 32 students and VII-J as many as 32 students who were selected through cluster random sampling technique. The design used was the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The research data was the score of mathematical communication skills that obtained through a essay test. The results of hypothesis testing using the t -test and proportion test concluded that the cooperative learning model of TPS type was effective in terms of students' mathematical communication skills.Keywords: effectiveness, mathematical communication, think pair sharePenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Pengaruh Discovery Learning Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Siswa
This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of discovery learning towards student's mathematical problem solving skill. The population of this research was all grade eight students of Junior High School state of 1 Pesawaran in academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 252 students that were distributed into nine classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII-A as many as 28 students and VIII-B as many as 27 students that were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research was pretest-posttest control group design. The research data were obtained by the essays test of mathematical problem solving skill. Analysis data of the research using non parametric test that is Mann-Whitney U test. Based on the research results and discussion, it was concluded that discovery learning affects the student's mathematical problem solving skill.Keywords: discovery learning, mathematical problem solving Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh discovery learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pesawaran tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 252 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam sembilan kelas. Sampel dari penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII-A sebanyak 28 siswa dan VIII-B sebanyak 27 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh dari tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis berbentuk essay. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji non parametrik yaitu uji Mann-Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.Kata kunci: discovery learning, pemecahan masalah matemati
