    PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN DISCOVERY TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA

    This research aimed to examine the influence of discovery learning towards a student’s mathematical communication skill enhancement. The population of this research was all the eighth-grade students of SMP Al Azhar 3 Bandarlampung in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year as many as 251 students that were distributed into seven classes. The samples of this research were students of class VIII-B consist of 31 students and VIII-C consists of 32 students who were chosen by cluster random sampling technique. This research used the pretest-posttest control group design. The research data were obtained through a test of mathematical communication skills. The data analysis of this research used the t-test. The result of this research shows that the enhancement of mathematical communication skills of the student who follow discovery learning was higher than the enhancement of mathematical communication skills of students who follow conventional learning. Based on the result and working through of result, the conclusion of this research is discovery learning affects the student’s mathematical communication skill’s enhancement

    Deskripsi Percakapan Kritis Matematis Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Socrates Saintifik

    This qualitative research aimed to describe the student’s critical mathematics discourse in Socrates scientific learning. The subjects of this research were 9 students of VII-D class of MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2018/2019 consists of each 3 students with high, medium, and low mathematical ability. The data of this research were obtained through observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis were processed through three steps that refered to Miles and Huberman models, which were data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Based on the research, the results were: (1) The number of students who did the critical mahematics discourse was successfully increased by Socrates scientific learning, (2) Student’s critical mathematics discourse through Socrates scientific learning more dominantly showed the indicator of student’s critical thinking skill in interprettation and analysis, (3) Student’s critical mathematics discourse was more likely to occur when the teacher asked Socrates’ questions types of clarifycations and reasons and evidence of investigation, (4) Student’s critical mathematics discourse more dominantly showed when the students did scientific approach, which were associating and communicating

    Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Think Talk Write Ditinjau dari Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Siswa

    Abstract: The effectiveness learning model of think talk write on students’ mathematical representation skills. This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative learning Think Talk Write type on students' mathematical representation skills. The population of this research was all students of eighth grade in SMP N 1 Kotabumi in the academic year of 2018/2019  as many as 244 students which were distributed into eight classes. The sample of this research were all students of class VIII D as many as 32 students and VIII E as many as 32 students who were selected by cluster random sampling technique. The design which was used in this research was the pretest-posttest control group design and the data collecting technique was tested. The research data was the increasing score of mathematical representation skills obtained through an essay test. Based on the result of proportion test and test using 0,05 of significance level, concluded that cooperative learning Think Talk Write type was not effective on students mathematical representation skill

    This research aims to find out the effectiveness of discovery learning models in terms of students’ critical thinking skills. The population of this research were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 20 Bandarlampung even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year distributed in eleven classes. The sample of this research were students of class VII_G and VII_H who were chosen through purposive sampling technique. The research design used for students’ critical thinking skills is the pretest-posttest control group design. The research instrument used was a test of critical thinking skills in the form of problem descriptions with quadrilaterals and triangles material. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the t test, it was concluded that the discovery learning models was not effective in terms of students’ critical thinking skills, but discovery learning was better to be applied in improving students’ critical thinking skills than conventional learning models

    The Effectiveness of Cooperative Learning Model Think Pair Share In Terms of Students’ Mathematical Conceptual Understanding Ability and self confidence. This quasi-experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperativelearning model think pair sharein terms of Students’ Mathematical conceptualunderstanding ability and self confidence. The population of this research was all students of grade VII of SMPN 10Bandarlampung in academic year of 2017/2018. The sample of this research were students of class VIIF and VIIG, that were chosen by purposive sampling technique. This research used pretest-posttest control group design. The data analysis used t’-test and proportion test. Hypothesis test results showed that gain of students’ mathematical conceptual understanding abilities and self confidence in the think pair sharemodel class was higher than the conventional class. Propotion of students’s score at least 70 in mathematical concept understanding abilities was more than 60% of total students in think pair share model class. Based on the research, it can be concluded that cooperativelearning model think pair sharewas effective interms of students’ mathematical conceptual understanding ability and self confidence.     This quasi experiment was aimed to find out the effectiveness of problem based learning model towards student’s matemathical communication skill. The population of this research was all of eight grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Gading Rejo in academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 218 students that were distributed into 7 classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII5as many as 32 studentsand VIII3class as many as 30 students that were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The design of this reserch was the static-group pretest-posttest grup design. The analysis data which used was Mann-Whitney U test  and proportion test. According of this result so that problem based learning is not effective towards student’s mathematical communication skill.     Pengaruh Model Penemuan Terbimbing Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Matematis

    This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of guided discovery in terms of students’conceptual understanding of mathematics. The population in this study was all students of grade VIII of SMP Tri Sukses in academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 85 students which were distributed into four classes, they were VIII A until VIII D. The samples of this research were students of VIII A as many as 20 students and VIII C as many as 22 students which were taken by cluster random sampling technique. This research  was used non equivalent control group design. The data of this research was obtained from student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics data. The data analysis of this  research use d t-test. Based on the results and discussion, guided discovery model influenced to student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Keyword:  student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics, guided discovery, influence Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model penemuan terbimbing terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik.  Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Tri Sukses Natar tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 85 peserta didik yang terdistribusi dalam empat kelas, yakni VIII A hingga VIII D.  Sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII A sebanyak 20 siswa dan VIII C sebanyak 22 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling.     Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa

    This quasi experimental study was aimed to find out the effect of PBL model on student’s understanding of  mathematical concept. The population of this study was all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Bandarlampung in the odd semester of academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 305 students that were distributed into ten classes. The samples of this study were students of VIII-2 class as many as 30 students and VIII-3 class as many as 29 students who were selected by using cluster random sampling technique. The design used was the randomized control group pretest posttest design. The data analysis used was thet Mann-Whitney U test. The results of data analysis showed that the median of gain score of student’s understanding mathematical concept in PBL model was higher than the median of gain score of student’s mathematical concept in conventional learning. Thus, the PBL model affects the student’s understanding of mathematical concept.Keywords: understanding of mathematical concept,  problem based learning Penelitian quasi experiment ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.     This research aimed to find out the influence of think pair share on understanding students' mathematical concepts. The population of this research was students of grade VIII of Junior High School 1 Semaka in academic year of 2018/2019 much 176 students that were distributed into six classes. The sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique and it was chosen students of VIII B as many as 28 students and VIII C as many as 29 students. The design which was used in this research was the pretest-posttest design control group design. Research data were obtained through test on understanding students' mathematical concepts. The data analysis which was used was t test. The result of this research show that enhancement on understanding students' mathematical concepts of student who follow learning with think pair share no higher than understanding students' mathematical concepts of student who follow learning with convensional. Keywords: cooperative learning, understanding mathematical concepts, think pair share Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran think pair share (TPS) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.     Pengaruh Discovery Learning Terhadap Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Siswa

    This experimental research aimed to find out the the influence of discovery learning towards student's mathematical representation skill. The population of this research was on entire students of grade VII of Junior High School state of 20 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 348 students that were distributed into 10 classes with mathematics skill in each class relatively equivalent. The sampling was cluster random sampling technique and it was chosen students of VII-C as many as 30 students and VII-B as many as 30 students as samples. The design used in this research was the randomized posttest-only control group design. The result of Mann-Whitney U test was known that the data of representation skill student with discovery learning was higher than the data of representation skill student in class with conventional learning. So that, discovery learning influenced towards the student's mathematical representation skill.Keywords: discovery learning, mathematical representation skill Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh discovery learning terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 20 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 348 siswa yang terdistribusi ke dalam sepuluh kelas dengan kemampuan matematis tiap kelas yang relatif sama. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling dan terpilih siswa kelas VII-C sebanyak 30 siswa dan VII-B sebanyak 30 siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu the randomized posttest-only control group design. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney U didapat bahwa data kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dengan discovery learning lebih tinggi daripada data kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional.
