Penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe TGT untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas dan Pemahaman Konsep Matematika
Get PDFThe students’ understanding of Mathematic concept in class VII.2 in the first semester of SMPN 1 Gadingrejo in the year 2012/2013 was relatively low.The students activities in the teaching learning process were also less active. The teaching modesl wich were used were conventional learning models so, the learning process were seemed monotonous. This research is a classroom action research which was conducted to increase the students’ learning activities and in understanding Mathematic concept through TGT Typed Cooperative Learning Model in the first semester of Class VII.2 of SMPN 1 Gadingrejo 2012/2013. The results of the research showed that there is a positive improvement of the students’ learning activities and understanding Mathematic concepts trough the implementation of TGT Typed Cooperative Learning Model in the first semester of Class VII.2 of SMPN 1 Gadingrejo 2012/2013. From data analytic could be gotten that the average percentage of students’ learning activities increased significantly 87,5%, the progress of students in understanding Mathematic concept increased into 69,351 %, and 68,75 % for students Mastery Learning. It could be concluded that the implementation of TGT Typed Cooperative Learning Model in the first semester of Class VII.2 of SMP N.1 Gadingrejo 2012-2013 was able to increase students’ learning activities and in understanding Mathematic concept. Get PDFMake A Match merupakan salah pembelajaran kooperatif yang siswanya berdiskusi memikirkan jawaban atau soal dari kartu yang mereka pegang kemudian mencari dan mencocokan pasangan kartu tersebut. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII C sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi eksperimen dengan desain posttest only karena sampel memiliki kemampuan awal relatif sama. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data maka kesimpulan adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make A Match berpengaruh jika dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran yang biasanya diterapkan di sekolah terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata Kunci: Make A Match, Pemahaman Konsep Matemati
PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model of NHT type towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. The population is all students of eightth grade of Junior High School State 8 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012-2013, they are from regular class and divided into nine classes. Samples are all students of VIII-B and VIII-C that are determined by purposive sampling technique. Based on analysis of data, it is gotten that student’s mathematical conceptual understanding on cooperative learning model of NHT better than student’s mathematical conceptual understanding of conventional learning. Thus, cooperative learning model of NHT type effects student’s mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 8 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2012-2013 yang bukan berasal dari kelas unggulan dan terdiri dari sembilan kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian adalah siswa pada kelas VIII-B dan VIII-C yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan analisis data penelitian diperoleh hasil pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata Kunci: NHT, pemahaman konsep matematis, pengaru
Upaya Meningkatkan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar Matematika Melalui Pembelajaran dengan Pendekatan Matematika Realistik
Get PDFApplied learning by teachers greatly affect the success of students in learning. The low learning and activity outcomes are not indication yet optimal learning. This research is the PTK aimed to improve learning and activity outcomes math class VIII / 4 SMP Kosgoro 1 Bandar Sri Bhawono East Lampung semester Academic Year 2012/2013, through Mathematic Realistic Approach. Action is conducted in three cycles, each cycle including: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data were collected through observation of student activity at each meeting and learning outcomes gained through the end of each test cycle. Based on data analysis results of this research note that an increase in the percentage of students active and learning outcomes in each cycle. Percentage of students active continuted in Cycle I, II, III was 51.35%, 69.44% and 81.08%. Percentage of students who pass the learning continuted cycle I, II, III was 51.35%, 66.66% and 78.37%. From these results it can be concluded that the application of PMR in learning can increase student, activity and the result of mathematic learning class VII1 / 4 SMP Kosgoro 1 Bandar Sri Bhawono Odd Semester Academic Year 2012/2013.Keywords: Mathematics Realistic Approach, Activities, Learning Outcome
Efektivitas Pendekatan Pembelajaran Kontekstual Terhadap Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematika Siswa
Get PDFThe student's concept of understanding is the ability to understand the subject matter which can be seen from the students after their extensive tests. One of approach in learning that can make students understand the concept so well is contextual learning approach. This research is a quasi experimental. The population has been taken for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung TP 2012/2013. Through purposive random sampling technique, VIIIH and VIIIF class are selected as samples. The design of this research is a pretest-posttest control design. The results of hypothesis test showed that (1) the average value of mathematical concept understanding of the students who took lesson with contextual learning approach was lower than the average value of student’s concept understanding who took lesson with the conventional approach, (2) a gain in the average value of student’s concept understanding who took lesson with contextual learning approach was lower than students who took lesson with the conventional approach, (3) the percentage of students who passed the study on the class that used contextual learning approach did not reach 65%. So, contextual learning approach was not effective in terms of students' understanding of mathematic concept. This was caused the students in the control class had readiness to learn better than the experimental class. In addition, the control class was easily conditioned to teach than the experimental class.Keywords: effectiveness, contextual approach, the understanding of the concep

The population of this research are all tenth grade students in even semester at Senior High School State 5 Bandar Lampung in Academic Years 2012/2013. The samples of this research are class X.3 and class X.6 choosen by using purposive sampling technique. Data techniques collection uses mathematical communication ability test. Based on hypotesis test results, it is aqcuired that the average of value of student’s mathematical communication ability with TAPPS strategy is more than that of using conventional learning. EFEKTIVITAS PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning towards student’s mathematical problem solving skill. Problem-Based Learning is a learning that is started by giving a nonroutine and ill-structure problem to students. The population was all students grade eight in Junior High School State 1 Way Jepara in academic years 2012/2013 that consist of 250 students and distributed into eight classes. The samples were students of VIII.2 and VIII.3 class that were determined by purposive sampling technique. The design was posttest only control group design. The data research was quantitative data and it was aqcuired by student’s mathematical problem solving skill essay test. Based on the research, it was concluded that Problem-Based Learning was effective towards student’s problem solving skill (in planometry concepts), a case study in eighth grade students of even semester of Junior High School State 1 Way Jepara in academic years 2012/2013.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas Problem-Based Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Problem-Based Learning adalah suatu pembelajaran yang diawali dengan memberikan masalah nonrutin dan ill-structure. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Way Jepara tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 250 siswa dan terdistribusi ke dalam delapan kelas. Sampel yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas VIII.2 dan kelas VIII.3 yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Data penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif dan diperoleh melalui instrumen tes uraian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Posttest only control design was used in this research. The population was all students of grade 8th SMP Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung, even semester, school year 2012/2013. Sample of this research was students of VIII I as experiment class and VIII K as control class that was determined by purposive sampling technique. Based on data analysis, student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics and characteristic behavior achievement and social skill on cooperative learning model of NHT type is better than conventional learning, so it is concluded that cooperative learning model of NHT type affects student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Bandar Lampung semester genap tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 362 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam sebelas kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII I sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII K sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Get PDFThis is a quasi-experimental research that aimed to know the effectiveness of the learning model of TSTS viewed by students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The population in this study were all students of VIII grade of SMP Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012/2013 as many as 270 students and distributed into 8 classes. The samples in this study were students of VIII E which taken randomly. The study design was a one-group posttest only design. Instrument used in this study was a essay test of conceptual understanding. Based on the analysis of data showed that the percentage of students who understand the mathematical concepts in cooperative learning of TSTS type was less than 65%. Thus, the cooperative learning model of TSTS type was ineffective viewed by understanding of mathematical concepts of VIII grade students of SMP Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung in academic year 2012/2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran TSTS ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 270 siswa dan terdistribusi dalam 8 kelas. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIE yang diambil secara acak. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group posttest only design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa soal esai pemahaman konsep. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, persentase pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS kurang dari 65%. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS kurang efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Al-Kautsar Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. PENGARUH PENDEKATAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK TERHADAP PENGUASAAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA SISWA
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of realistic mathematics education to the student’s mastering of mathematical conceptual. The research uses post-test only control group design. Research population was all of eight-class student in even semester of state Junior High School 1 of Pringsewu in academic year 2012/2013. The samples are students of VIII.1 and VIII.2 class that were chosen from five classes by purpossive sampling technique. The data of research was student’s mastering of mathematical conceptual. Data analysis uses Mann-Withney test. Based on analysis of data, it gotten that student’s mastering of mathematical conceptual on realistic mathematics education class is higher than student’s mastering of mathematical conceptual of conventional learning class. Thus, realistic mathematics education gives the positive influence to the student’s mastering of mathematical conceptual.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap penguasaan konsep matematika siswa. Desain penelitian adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Pringsewu tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIII.1 dan VIII.2 yang dipilih dari lima kelas dengan cara purpossive sampling. Data penelitian adalah data penguasaan konsep matematika. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa rata-rata penguasaan konsep matematika siswa pada pembelajaran dengan pendekatan matematika realistik lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran dengan pendekatan matematika realistik berpengaruh positif terhadap penguasaan konsep matematika siswa.Kata Kunci: pendekatan matematika realistik, pengaruh, penguasaan konsep matematik
