No full textThis quasi experimental research aim to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning model two stay two stray type toward student’s mathematical concept understanding. This research design is post-test only control design. Population in this research is students of 8th grade in SMP Negeri 3 Tulang Bawang Tengah 2012/2013 year. The sample of this research is students of 8A and 8B class which is taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data research is obtained from student’s mathematical conceptual understanding test. No full textThe study was a quasi-experimental research with the entire population of junior high school students in grade VII Bina Mulya Belfast school year 2011/2012. Study sample is a class VII A and VII C are taken by using Random Sampling Purposive techniques. The purpose of this study to determine whether the type of cooperative learning model TPSeffective when applied to teaching junior high math class VII student Bina Mulya Belfast Lessons Year 2011/2012 when compa-red to conventional learning. EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK PAIR SHARE DITINJAU DARI HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA
Get PDFThink pair share is a type of cooperative learning that stimulates students to think. This quasi-experimental study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of think pair share type viewed of learning outcomes of mathematics of grade eight students of MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar South Lampung second semester in academic year of 2012/2013. The study population was grade eight student of MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar South Lampung as many as 121 students were distributed into 4 classes. The samples were students of class VIII-A and VIII-B who were taken by purposive sampling. The data were obtained by test of student learning outcomes at the end of the study. The conclusion of this study was cooperative learning model of think pair share type was effective to improve student learning outcomes of mathematics of grade eight student of MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar South Lampung second semester in academic year of 2012/2013.Think pair share merupakan tipe pembelajaran kooperatif yang dapat merangsang siswa untuk berpikir. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share ditinjau dari hasil belajar matematika siswa siswa kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar Lampung Selatan semester genap tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Natar Lampung Selatan sebanyak 121 siswa yang terdistribusi pada 4 kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-A dan VIII-B yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes hasil belajar siswa di akhir penelitian. PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN ROTATING TRIO EXCHANGE TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA
Get PDFThis research is a quasi experiment that aimed to know the influence of implementation cooperative learning method type RTE towards student’s understanding of mathematical concept. The research design was posttest onlycontrol group design. The research population were all students of 8th grade class of Junior High School State five Bandar Lampung academic year 2012/2013. The sample of this research was gotten by Perposive Random Sampling technique. Based on data analysis, it was got that student’s mathematical understanding concept used cooperative learning method type RTE was higher than konventional learning. However, student’s learning completeness using cooperative learning method type RTE wasn’t achieved the target. Thus, the implementation of cooperative learning method type RTE wasn’t influenced toward student’s understanding of mathematical concept.Keyword: Influence, RTE, Mathematical Concep
PENGARUH PENDEKATAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIKA SISWA
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of realistic mathematics education towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. Posttest only control grup design was used in this research. The population was all students of grade 8th of SMP Negeri 2 Bandarlampung, even semester, in the academic year 2012/2013. Samples were students of VIII 2 as control class and VIII 3 as experiment class that was determined by purposive random sampling technique. Based on data analysis, student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics by realistic mathematics education was better than conventional learning. So, it was concluded that realistic mathematics education influences student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 2 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas VIII 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa rata-rata skor pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan pendekatan matematika realistik lebih dari pembelajaran konvensional. Efektivitas Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa
Get PDFThis research is quasi-axperimental research. The objective of this research is to find out the effectiveness of STAD type cooperative learning model in improving student mathematical concept comprehension. This research was using pretests-posttest control design. The population of this research was all of ten grade student in management department of SMKN 1 Bandar Lampung 2012/2013 school year. The research samples were two classes selected from six classes by cluster random sampling. Based on the study it is concluded that there is no effectiveness in the application of STAD type cooperative learning model to improve student comprehension ability in mathematical concept as the average value of gain index was not signivicantly different. According to achievement percentage indicator, student with STAD type cooperative learning model showed better mathematical concept comprehension than those with conventional learning. PENERAPAN METODE TAPPS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA
No full textThis quasi experimental research aimed to analyze the increasing of student’s mathematical communication ability who learn with TAPPS learning method compared conventional learning. The population was eighth grade students of junior high school state 8 Bandar Lampung in academic years 2012/2013. The samples were students of VIII B and VIII C class that chosen from eight classes by purposive random sampling. The conclusion was the average of increasing of student’s mathematical communication ability in TAPPS learning method was same as average of increasing of student’s mathematical communication ability in conventional learning.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode TAPPS dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa pada kelas VIIIB dan VIIIC yang dipilih dari delapan kelas dengan cara purposive random sampling. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan metode TAPPS sama dengan rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, metode pembelajaran, TAPP

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of group investigation type towards student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics. The research design was post-test only control design. The population was students of grade 8th in second semester of SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Ratu in the academic year 2012/2013 that excluding in the special class. Samples were students of VIII.3 class as experiment class and VIII.2 class as control class that was determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics was taken by test. Data analysis used Mann-Withney test. Based on data analysis, student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics by cooperative learning model of group investigation type was higher than conventional those of learning. So, it was concluded that cooperative learning model of group investigation type influences student’s conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian adalah post-test only control design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Labuhan Ratu tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang tidak termasuk dalam kelas unggulan. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII.3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data pemahaman konsep matematis diperoleh melalui tes. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pembelajaran kooperatif tipe group investigation lebih tinggi daripada pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada pembelajaran konvensional. PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NUMBERED HEADS TOGETHER
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) towards students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes, a case study in 8th grade students of even semester Junior High School State 3 Bandar Lampung in Academic Years 2012/2013. A population of this research is all 8th grade students of Junior High School State 3 Bandar Lampung in Academic Years 2012/2013 that is distributed into seven classes. The samples are two classes that are obtained by using purposive sampling technique. Based on hypothesis testing results, it is concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model type NHT has influence towards students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes . It is showed that students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes in cooperative learning model type NHT is higher than students’ interest and the value of mathematics learning outcomes in conventional learning.Keywords: NHT, interest, learning outcome
