EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN COOPERATIVE INTEGRATED READING AND COMPOSITION DITINJAU DARI KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative integrated reading and composition model in term of students mathematical communications skill. The design which was used was posttest only control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade 8th of SMPN 30 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2015/2016. The samples of this research were students of VIIIA and VIIID class that were determined by purposive random sampling. Based on the result of data analysis, it was concluded that the implementation of cooperative integrated reading and composition model was not effective in term of students mathematical communications skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 30 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIA dan VIIID yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Berdasar pada hasil analisis data, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran cooperative integrated reading and composition tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: cooperative integrated reading and composition, efektivitas, komunikasi matemati
PENGEMBANGAN DESAIN DIDAKTIS IRISAN KERUCUT UNTUK MEMFASILITASI DISPOSISI MATEMATIS SISWA
Get PDFThe research aimed to develop conic didactical design that was able to reduce the learning obstacle and find out the results of its implementation in terms of students disposition of mathematical. The Learning obstacle means that the learning difficulties experienced by students when studying conic sections. The subject of this research was students of XIth grade for specialisation Mathematics and Natural Sciences program at SMAN 1 Kalirejo Central Lampung in academic years of 2015/2016. The data collection techniques used triangulation of observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The results showed that the conic didactical design able to facilitate mathematical disposition and reduce the learning obstacles that exist. The analysis of the student's response and findings during implementation used for a basis of further improvement of the didactical design.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain didaktis irisan kerucutyang mampu mengurangi hambatan belajar dan mengetahui hasil implementasinya ditinjau daridisposisi matematis siswa. Adapun hambatan belajar yang dimaksud adalah kesulitan belajar yang dialami siswa pada saat mempelajari konsep irisan kerucut. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI program peminatan Matematika dan Ilmu-ilmu Alam di SMAN 1 Kalirejo Lampung Tengah tahunpelajaran 2015/2016. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan triangulasi observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain didaktis irisan kerucut mampu memfasilitasi munculnya disposisi matematis siswa dan mengurangi hambatan belajar yang ada. Analisis terhadap respon siswa dan temuan-temuan selama implementasi dijadikan landasan untuk perbaikan desain didaktis irisan kerucut selanjutnya.Kata kunci: desain didaktis, disposisi matematis, irisan kerucu

The population of this research was all students of grade 7th of Junior High School 3 Natar in academic year of 2015/2016 which were distributed into five classes, then it was taken two classes as the sampel by purposive random sampling. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the cooperative learning model of MMP type wasnt effective in terms of students mathematical representations skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe MMP ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Natar tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang terdistribusi dalam lima kelas, kemudian diambil dua kelas sebagai sampel melalui teknik purposive random sampling. PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR DENGAN METODE PQ4R UNTUK MENANAMKAN DISPOSISI PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS
Get PDFThis research development aims to develop mathematical teaching materials with PQ4R method to instill the disposition skill of students' understanding on mathematical concepts. PQ4R is an instructional method which is done through reading activities. The activities in the learning process include: preview, question, read, reflect, recite and review. The disposition understanding of mathematical concepts is the tendency in understanding math concepts being studied, explaining the link between the concepts and applying the concepts in a flexible manner, accurate, efficient and precise in problem solving. The subject in this research were students of VIII B of JHS Daarul Ma'Arif 2015/2016 academic year with middle-upper thinking characters. The data were obtained through observation sheet and interviews. The research results showed that the instructional mathematical learning materials with PQ4R method was effective when it used clear language, provided clear explanations on the completion of the steps in the example given, less practices while the tasks should be in form of stories. Most students like these kind of mathematics teaching materials therefore they can enhance the disposition skill of students' understanding on mathematical concepts. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar matematika dengan metode PQ4R untuk menanamkan disposisi pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. PQ4R adalah metode pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan kegiatan membaca. Kegiatan dalam proses pembelajarannya yaitu preview, question, read, reflect, recite dan review. Disposisi pemahaman konsep matematis adalah kecendrungan seseorang bersikap dalam memahami konsep matematika yang sedang dipelajari, menjelaskan keterkaitan antar konsep dan mengaplikasikan konsep secara luwes, akurat, efisien dan tepat dalam pemecahan masalah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII B SMP Daarul Maarif tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang memiliki karakter berpikir menengah ke bawah. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui lembar observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjuka bahwa pengembangan bahan ajara matematika dengan metode PQ4R efektif jika bahasa yang digunakan jelas, dibuat keterangan penjelas pada langkah-langkah penyelesaian pada contoh soal, latihan yang dibuat jangan terlalu banyak dan sebaiknya berbentuk soal cerita. Sebagian besar siswa menyukai bahan ajar matematika ini dan bahan ajar ini dapat menanamkan disposisi pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: bahan ajar, disposisi pemahaman konsep matematis, PQ4
PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS DAN SELF-CONFIDENCE
Get PDFThis quasi experimental research aimed to find out the increasing of mathematical reasoning skills and self confidence of students who though by contextual learning compared to conventional learning. The design which was used was pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade VII of SMP Negeri 1 Natar South Lampung in the academic year of 2015/2016 and the samples of this research were students of VII-H and VII-I class that were determined by purposive sampling. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the implementation of contextual learning model could increase student's mathematical reasoning skills, but it could not increase student's self confidence. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis dan self-confidence siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran kontekstual dibandingkan konvensional. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Natar Kabupaten Lampung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2015/ 2016 dan sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-H dan VII-I yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa, namun tidak dapat meningkatkan self-confidence siswa.Kata kunci: kontekstual, penalaran matematis, self-confidenc

PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN KOLABORATIF KONTEKSTUAL TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MATEMATIS SISWA

The population of this research was all students of grade VII of SMP Negeri 1 Natar in academic year of 2015/2016 which were distributed into thirteen classes. The sampling of this research was done by purposive sampling technique and it was chosen students of class VII-B and VII-D as the research sample. The design of this research was pretest-posttest control group design. The data of this research were taken by pretest and posttest in essay test. The result of hypotesis test showed that the contextual collaborative learning influences towards the increasing of ability of understanding of mathematical concept.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran kolaboratif kontekstual terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Natar tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang terdistribusi dalam tiga belas kelas. Based on the result of this research and discussion, it was concluded that the implementation of inquiry learning affect towards the incrasing of students mathematical reasoning ability.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP 19 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdistribusi dalam 12 kelas. Based on the result and discussion, it could be concluded that contextual approach was effective in terms of students understanding of mathematical concept. PENGEMBANGAN LKPD BERBASIS MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS
Get PDFThis research aimed to analyze student worksheet development based on Problem Based Learning model in topic of Probability for Senior High School students of grade X. The instruments which were used in this research were the validation sheet of student worksheet for math lecturer and teacher in order to fulfill the validity aspect, the student scoring sheet in order to fulfill the applicability aspect, and critical mathematic thinking ability test in order to fulfill the effectiveness aspect. The result of the research showed that the student worksheet which was based on Problem Based Learning model had fulfilled the requirements and appropriateness standard based on content, design, and language expert. The data analysis of t-test towards of critical thinking ability showed that the critical thinking ability of students with Problem Based Learning model worksheet was higher than the critical thinking ability of students without Problem Based Learning model worksheet.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan model Problem Based Learning pada materi Peluang untuk SMA kelas X. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi LKPD untuk ahli dan guru matematika untuk aspek kevalidan, lembar penilaian peserta didik untuk aspek keterbacaan, serta soal tes kemampuan berpikir kritis untuk aspek keefektivan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning telah memenuhi syarat dan standar kelayakan berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, desain, dan bahasa. Hasil analisis menggunakan uji t terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang menggunakan LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang tidak menggunakan LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, peluang, problem based learnin
