    Covid -19: The Impact On Malaysian Visual Arts Scene

    Purpose: This paper discusses the impact of COVID-19 on the Visual Arts industry in Malaysia. In general, this pandemic has affected various forms of artistic activities and the income of visual arts artists and galleries. The cancellation of art projects and exhibitions has greatly affected the artist's source of income as well as disrupted the sale of works and forms of art appreciation. The crisis has also opened up a new form to the visual arts industry by looking at alternative approaches to the continuity of the arts field by switching to virtual or online methods. This emerging crisis of COVID-19 might be the starting point for all art practitioners including artists, art critics, galleries/museums, collectors, and curators in using the online space to continue to capitalize on and expand the Visual Arts industry. Design/methodology/approach: Review approach.     The research that the author has done is about the leadership of the Head of Culture and Tourism Department in the Development of the Nyi Mas Gandasari Site Tourist Destination in Depok District, Cirebon Regency. Based on the observations made by the author, there are symptoms of problems in the development of tourist destinations for the Nyi Mas Gandasari Site in Depok District, Cirebon Regency, that is the less optimal development of the Nyi Mas Gandasari Site carried out by the Cirebon Regency Culture and Tourism Department. Based on these problems, there is an identification of the problem, such as How the Role of the Culture and Tourist Department Leadership in the development of the Nyi Mas Gandasari Site Tourism Destination in Depok District, Cirebon Regency, what are the obstacles to the role of the Culture and Tourism Department Leadership in the Development of the Nyi Mas Gandasari Site Tourist Destination in Depok District Cirebon Regency and what efforts are made to overcome obstacles in the Leadership of the Head of the Culture and Tourism Department in the development of the Nyi Mas Gandasari Site Tourist Destination in Depok District, Cirebon Regency.     Risk Cause Analysis On E-Procurement Bidding

    Purpose: The current procurement of goods and services refers to the Electronic Procurement Service (E-Procurement) system in accordance with Presidential Regulation No.16 of 2018, however in its implementation the contractors still need adjustments. One of them is the contractor involved in the case study of this research which has failed in several tenders. This can create risks associated with value and profitability of the company. This study aims to cover this gap by knowing the risk factors for failure, level and the form of handling carried out by distributing questionnaires to the related contractors. Design/methodology/approach: Data analysis was performed using statistical software and the value was mapped using the Risk Relative Importance Index (RRI). Findings: The result show that the capacity of the bid files to upload is too large and there is no supplier support, are in moderate risk levels with scale respectively of 8,836 and 7,407. Problematic internet signal factors and incomplete design maturity levels are in high risk levels with a scale of 11.868 and 12.586. Meanwhile, the extreme risk level, namely the price cannot compete with other participants and the very limited time for calculating the tender, on a scale of 12,586 and 15,339 are factors that need attention

    Exploration Community Empowerment of Lumajang Typical Batik Enterprises for Culture Preservation

    Purpose: This study aims to explore the existing batik culture in Lumajang district and to find out the obstacles faced during the production process. Design/methodology/approach: This research uses a qualitative approach. The data collection method used interviews, observations, and documentation which were carried out in the batik-producing area in Lumajang Regency Findings: The results showed that batik entrepreneurs in Lumajang district, apart from preserving culture, were also used to improve the economy of the surrounding community. The batik culture is in the form of regional motifs such as the batik motif of the great banana, sand, and semeru mountain which are applied to the cloth with the batik process which will later be used as uniforms for the Lumajang Regency Government. Increasing the capacity of batik craftsmen also needs improvement through training activities. Research limitations/implications: This research is limited to cases that exist in batik craftsmen in Lumajang district. Practical implications: This research can be used as input for interested parties to increase batik production. In addition, it can also increase the sense of belonging to the culture around us..     Financial Management Governance Effectivity on Economic Value Added

    Objective: is to analyze and get empirical evidence of the effect of investment decisions, funding decisions, dividend policy, good corporate governance and profit management both partially and simultaneously on economic value added. Design/method/approach: the method used is quantitative method with causality, survey and explanatory as well as predictive. The population in this research is manufacturing companies in Indonesia from various sectors of 2013-2017 and based on purposive sampling technique, the sample is 37 companies. Results: the result of the study shows that of the five predictor variables, the dividend policy is the only predictor variable that has effect on economic value added, while simultaneously all predictor variables are not able to affect the economic value added variable. Limitations/research implications: the population of this study is manufacturing companies from various with different industries ratio. Practical implications: to meet the economic value added value, the profit management (income smoothing) does not need to be implemented. For the investors to pay attention to the financial decisions of the companies.     The Influence of Good Corporate Governance Implementation towards Employee Performance in PT. XYZ, Surabaya.

    In the era of business volatility and uncertainty, there are companies that dealing with loss caused by fraudulence and unethical actions. Good Corporate Governance (GCG) known as one of the best management frameworks, is now being adapted and implemented by many of companies around the world. It is often referred as the formal standard for business principles and corporate ethics. This research paper aims to measure the influence (including correlation) of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) implementation towards the employee performance in PT. XYZ, Surabaya. Method used in this study is simple linear regression applying the equation of Y=a+bX. Some of activities done here include observation and analysis where survey is conducted using questionnaire, process of identification and data modelling, parametric testing, goodness of fit evaluation, and also hypothesis examination. Based on the analysis result, it is found that Good Corporate Governance implementation has influence towards employee performance positively and significantly in PT. XYZ with coefficient determination value at the number of 0,41 which is categorized as fine correlation

    An Overview of COVID-19 Impacts on Commercial E-Commerce Platforms in Southeast Asia Region

    Purpose: Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus in Wuhan, China. Due to this pandemic, almost all countries in Southeast Asia had executed either lockdown or state of emergency action. However, an online marketplace via an E-Commerce platform is still needed to operate and also directly affected by this pandemic. Therefore, this overview reveals the impacts of the top 3 E-commerce platforms during pandemic COVID-19 with regard to the consumers in the Southeast Asia region (specifically in Malaysia, Indonesia & Thailand). Design/methodology/approach: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the revenue of E-commerce platforms companies might be slightly a bit dropped due to uncertainty factors in the countries that have been affected by this virus. Indeed many countries around the globe already implemented and still progressing either lockdown or state of emergency protocol. In this study, we selected the top three E-commerce platforms in Southeast Asia namely Lazada, Shopee, and Tokopedia. Findings: The results found that there were several initiations by them to battle against COVID-19. In addition, there are still a lot of improvements that can be effectively played by them.     Improvement of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) Assessed From Procedural Trust and Justice

    Purpose: The quality of teacher services is an important element related to achieving national education goals and developing Indonesian people as a whole. The initial survey of teacher service quality in the Civil Servants in the High School in the city of Bogor has not yet reached maximum results. Therefore, the quality of teacher services is interesting to study. This study aims to find efforts to improve teacher service quality by examining the relationship of teacher service quality with teacher personality variables and organizational justice. Design/methodology/approach: The study uses correlational statistical methods and analysis of the sitorem method is conducted. The unit of research analysis was a high school civil servant teacher with a population of 279 and a sample of 103 teachers.. Findings:  Analysis Results there are 9 indicators that the condition is good so it remains to be maintained, namely: (1) sincerity (2) enthusiasm (3) consensus (4) interpersonal justice (5) informational justice (6) distributive justice (7) physical appearance (8) ) guarantee (9) reliability. Components that are the order of priority indicators are improved, namely: (1) stable emotions (2) open to experience (3) procedural fairness (4) responsiveness (5) attention. Research limitations/implications: The results of the study show there is a positive relationship between the teacher's personality and the quality of teacher services with the strength of the relationship ry1 = 0.421 and there is a positive relationship between organizational justice and the quality of the teacher's service with the strength of the ry2 = 0.297 so that the quality of teacher service can be improved through the personality of the teacher and organizational justice.. Practical implications: To improve the quality of service teachers can pay attention to indicators that are not optimal for recommendations and determine the order of priority improvements that need to be done.     The Meaning Of Communication Ritual “Already Sea” As The Sustainability Of Maritim Culture Values Of The Community Village Coconut Islands

    This study aims to map the activities, competencies, language, and communication components of the “sea alms” ritual which produces communication patterns as a form of preservation of maritime cultural values in the island community. The concept of ritual communication on which this research is based is ritual. Ritual is a habitual action (hereditary action) and also contains transcendental values. So, it can be understood that rituals are related to voluntary performances carried out by the community from generation to generation (based on habits) regarding patterned behavior. Communication is at the core of interactions between humans who use language in certain cultures. This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, an interpretive or qualitative perspective. Ritual as a 'tradition' in the context of communication events and interaction processes. The results of the study reveal that the ritual communication of "alms sea" is an activity of gratitude to God Almighty or the creator, who has provided a fortune from the potential that comes from the sea, this tradition is a form of cultural values that are maintained by fishermen, who live on Pulau Kelapa, dominant is the Bugis community. The ritual "Alms Ocean" is used as a tourist attraction for marine culture, by displaying dance, culinary arts, and typical Bugis cultural symbols which are ornaments of marine tourism attractions
