Financial Technology and Digital Marketing on MSMEs and their Impact on Financial Performance and Business Sustainability
Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effect of financial technology and digital marketing on MSMEs and their impact on financial performance and business sustainability.
Design/methodology/approach: The research uses an explanatory quantitative approach. The population in this study were all members of the Metropolia community, amounting to 155 people. The sampling technique used was purposive Data collection is done using google Forms. The data collected were analyzed using SEM-PLS.
Findings: Fintech has a positive and significant influence on the financial performance of MSMEs. Digimart has a significant influence on the financial performance of MSMEs. Fintech has a significant influence on the business sustainability of MSMEs. Digimart does not have a significant influence on the business sustainability of MSMEs. Financial performance has a significant positive influence on the business sustainability of MSMEs.

Analysis of Product Variation, Quality of Service and Their Effect on Customer Satisfaction
Purpose: This research aims to determine the effect of either partially or simultaneously of the variable product variation and service quality on customer satisfaction
Design/methodology/approach: The data used of primary data which obtained by questionnaire, observation, interview and documentation methods. The sample is 96 customers done by accidental sampling method. The data analysis tool used multiple linear regression model, while hypothesis testing was done by F test and t test at five percent alpha
Findings: The result reveal that the product variation and service quality had a significant simultaneous and partial effect on customer satisfaction, furthermore there is evidence the strong relationship between the variables of product variation and service quality with customer satisfaction
Research limitations/implications: This research is only carried out in one company as the object of research. Further researchers can conduct research from several companies so that the study results can be generalized
Practical implications: The results of this study will provide to the management and the company in increasing profitability through consumer satisfaction. The results of the study also provide theoretical implications as a reference in costumer satisfaction.
Originality/value: Determine the effect of product variations and service quality either simultaneously or partially on customer satisfaction.

Analysis of Factors Affecting Income Distribution Inequality in Indonesia 2009-2013 Period
Purpose: to analyze the effect of population, minimum wages and unemployment on inequality of income distribution in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data in the form of panel data consisting of time crosses for the period 2009-2013 and cross places in 33 provinces in Indonesia
Design/methodology/approach: The analysis carried out is a quantitative analysis using multiple linear regression to answer the problem formulation and determine the effect of predetermined variables.
Findings: All independent variables are said to have a joint (simultaneous) influence on the dependent variable because it is seen from the level of significance that the number is 0.002 less than 0.05, which means that there is a significant effect simultaneously between the population, minimum wages and unemployment on inequality of income distribution. in Indonesia the period 2009-2013. There is a partially significant effect between the minimum wage and the inequality of income distribution. The minimum wage variable has a dominant influence on inequality in income distribution in Indonesia for the 2009-2013 period.
Practical implications: To Intensify business in the economic sector in order to touch the lower class of society

Analysis of Internal and External Factors after Implementing the Improvement Strategy using SWOT Method
Every businessman is expected to have knowledge and strategies in managing the company so that they can survive. Especially in small and medium enterprises (SME), a kind of business of this traditional cloth product. The problem is that SMEs have difficulty in increasing sales of their products. This study presents an internal and external analysis after the implementation of the improvement strategy. The method used was a survey to collect data. A total of one hundred consumers participated in this study. The results of the analysis show an increase in the calculation of the strength and opportunity factors, a decrease in the points of weakness and threat factors. The total calculation shows an increase in efforts to provide a sales improvement strategy. Meanwhile, the calculation for each point resulted in an increase of fourteen points in both internal and external factors as a whole. The results of the quadrant position analysis also show that SME is in a very profitable position by having strengths and opportunities. SME has a favorable position in the form of skilled human resources, sufficient capital, and a promising market for this product. From these results, it is hoped that SME will continue to make continuous improvements by utilizing the strengths and opportunities they have. The Effect Of Environmental Performance On Firm Value Using Financial Performance As Mediator Variable
Purpose: This study aims to examine the effect of environmental performance on firm value directly or indirectly by employing financial performance as a mediator variable.
Design/methodology/approach: This research employs quantitative research. The population of the research is all non-financial companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the 2014-2019 period with a sample of 282 firm-years. The employed data analysis technique is Warp PLS 6.0 carried out in the two testing stages; the testing of the direct and the indirect effects of environmental performance variable on firm value.
Findings: Environmental performance has a significant positive effect on firm value; environmental performance has no effect on financial performance; financial performance has a significant positive effect on firm value; and financial performance is not proven as a variable that mediates the effect of environmental performance on firm value.
Research limitations: The measurement of financial performance employs only one proxy; ROE. Measurement of financial performance may use various proxies to produce more accurate findings.
Practical implications: This research provides an overview of the importance of implementing environmental performance for a company in order to increase firm value or company reputation among investors in particular and society in general.
Originality/value: This research is a development of previous studies, which produced varying research results, with the addition of financial performance as a mediator variable.

Assessing the challenges faced by informal street traders operating in Durban, South Africa
Purpose: The informal sector consists of all unregistered businesses operating as street vendors and home-based businesses. Although these businesses employ about 6 out of every 10 workers worldwide, they encounter numerous challenges in carrying out their daily operations. Therefore, in this chapter, the challenges faced by informal traders located in the Durban central district of South Africa’s Kwa-Zulu Natal province are investigated.
Design/methodology/approach: This study employs the qualitative research approach utilising structured interviews to obtain data. The Snowball sampling method assisted the researchers to obtain the required data and was analysed using Content Analysis.
Findings: The results shows that, lack of business space for trading and storage, lack of funding to expand business, poor hygiene and the lack of ablution facilities for traders as well as municipal harassment were the major constraints of the informal operators
Factors influencing sustainable entrepreneurial practices: Looking at individual-level factors through conventional entrepreneurial perspectives.
Purpose: Entrepreneurs contribute to the economic and non-economic development of a country with their entrepreneurial activities, but they also negatively impact the environment. Using entrepreneurial capabilities, however, entrepreneurs can turn various social and environmental issues into profitable solutions to benefit society and ensure their long-term business success which is called sustainable entrepreneurship.
Design/methodology/approach: This research aims to identify and highlight individual level factors that directly, or indirectly, affect individuals’ behaviour, and can influence them to engage in sustainable entrepreneurial activities.
Findings: This secondary research reviewed and integrated existing literature to highlight individual-level factors that can influence entrepreneurs to engage in sustainable entrepreneurial practices. The insight of this paper could open key considerations for researchers in the sustainable entrepreneurship field to explore individual-level factors and enhance further understanding

Designing a Sales Strategy with SWOT Method for Small and Medium Enterprises Products
Purpose: This research was conducted on SMEs of brown sugar. This business has difficulty increasing sales especially in the new products from SMEs, namely printed brown sugar products. Where previously this SMEs only produced and sold bulk brown sugar. Design/methodology/approach: The methods used are Fishbone and Pareto, to identify the factors that can support the sales strategy. Findings: The results showed that there are internal factors and external factors as a sales strategy. Fishbone and Pareto diagram shows that internal factors have strength and weakness, indicating that there are SMEs that have their own business capital, workers who are experienced in making brown sugar. Meanwhile, external factors, in the form of opportunities and threats, where SMEs already have markets and customers. Research limitations/implications: Current condition has several obstacles, such as facing increasingly competitive competition, more types of products, rapid technological developments, and the number of similar businesses. This has an effect on conventionally run businesses such as SMEs. Practical implications: The results showed that there are internal factors and external factors as a sales strategy. Fishbone and Pareto diagram shows that internal factors have strength and weakness, indicating that there are SMEs that have their own business capital, workers who are experienced in making brown sugar. Meanwhile, external factors, in the form of opportunities and threats, where SMEs already have markets and customers. In the Threat factor, technology and competitors are found to be a threat, but if examined again, these two things are real opportunities for SMEs. The use of technology in this digital era can be used as a promotional medium, while the identified competitors come from outside the area of SME. SWOT Analysis and ANP for Organic Tempeh SME Business Development Strategy
Purpose: Therefore, in this study, SWOT analysis is used to formulate problems from internal and external factors, from developing alternative strategies, selecting and making strategic decisions that align with company goals.
Design/methodology/approach: At the same time, the Analytical Network Process (ANP) is used to weigh each alternative strategy so that the strategy with the highest priority weight can be identified. By using Super Decision software, the best alternative strategy for Soya Agung is to promote promotion and education with a weight of 0.214760.
Findings: An industry that can compete in the modern market has the right marketing strategy. As a Small and Medium Enterprise producing tempeh, whose raw material is non-genetic modified local soybeans, Soya Agung still has limitations in marketing its products.
Research limitations/implications: The integration of SWOT and ANP is expected to produce strategic plans that can provide various alternative marketing strategies that can help solve company problems.

Entrepreneurial Characteristics and Entrepreneurial Orientation in Improving Business Performance of MSME Trading Assisted by the Surabaya Trade Office
Purpose: Analyze the effects of entrepreneurial characteristics on business performance through entrepreneurial orientation. Type of the research is causal research.
Design/methodology/approach: Analysis performed under quantitative analysis by using SEM Analysis and PLS to resolve the problem formulation and to know the effect of the determined variables.
Findings: The study result show that: (1) Entrepreneurial Characteristics affects the Entrepreneurship Orientation of MSME business actors; (2) Entrepreneurial Characteristics does not affect the Business Performance of MSME business actors; (3) Entrepreneurship orientation affects business performance in MSME business actors.
Practical implications: Intensify the effort under economic field in order to improving the income.
