Bridging the Financial Divide: Factors That Influence Financial Exclusion amongst The Unbanked Population of Botswana
Purpose: The aim of this research is to determine the primary causes behind the unbanked population's exclusion from Botswana's official financial system. The study aims to address the following research question: What are the main causes of the unbanked population's exclusion from Botswana's formal financial system, and how do these causes affect financial inclusion?
Deign/Methodology/Approach: This study used a mixed-methods approach to research, collecting and analysing data using both quantitative and qualitative techniques. Participants in the data collection process were given surveys to accomplish this goal. These surveys collected detailed data regarding people's financial inclusion status in Botswana. The surveys also explored the reasons behind the unbanked population's absence from the official financial system.
Findings: The study's findings indicate that the unbanked population's degree of financial inclusion in Botswana is greatly impacted by the factors that keep them out of the country's formal financial system.
The results of this study will add to the body of knowledge in business studies and financial technologies. Additionally, Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), commercial banks, government policy makers, and regulators in the financial and insurance sectors can use the study's findings to obtain useful information and guidance
Strategy Management STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION IN THE DIGITAL ERA (Case Study at SMA Negeri 15 Surabaya)
Education in the digital era presents new challenges and opportunities for education management. This article discusses educational strategy management that can be used to improve the quality of education in the digital era. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection in the form of interviews, documentation, and observation. This article describes several educational management strategies that can be applied, including the use of digital technology in teaching and learning, human resource management in the digital era, curriculum development that is relevant to technology, and the application of learning models that are appropriate to the digital era. This article also discusses the challenges and opportunities faced in implementing these strategies, including change management, adaptive education policies, and teacher professional development in the digital era. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 15 Surabaya where the subjects of the study were the principal or vice principal, curriculum field, and economic education teachers . In the digital era, adaptive and technology-oriented educational management strategies are the key to improving the quality of education. The use of digital technology in teaching and learning, human resource management oriented to the digital era, curriculum development that is relevant to technology, and the application of learning models that are in accordance with the digital era are steps that can be taken to improve the quality of education in the digital era. However, challenges such as change management, adaptive education policies, and teacher professional development remain important focuses in the implementation of these strategies
Exploring the Drivers and Barriers of Entrepreneurship Among Rural Women and Youths
Purpose: Entrepreneurship in rural areas plays a pivotal role in fostering economic growth and addressing socio-economic disparities. This study examines the drivers and barriers to entrepreneurship among women and youth in Chibombo District, Zambia.
Methodology/Approach: Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study combines surveys, focus group discussions, and interviews with 169 participants to explore the enabling factors and challenges within the rural entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Findings: Key findings reveal that 72% of participants identified economic necessity as a primary driver, 65% acknowledged the role of government support, and 58% cited personal aspirations. Conversely, 78% reported financial constraints, 62% highlighted infrastructural deficits, and 55% noted socio-cultural norms as significant barriers. These findings emphasize the need for tailored policy interventions to empower rural women and youth, enhancing their capacity to contribute to economic development and reducing systemic obstacles.
Practical Implications: Recommendations include implementing gender-sensitive training, mentorship programs, and infrastructural improvements to foster an enabling environment for rural entrepreneurship
Analysis of the Influence of Leadership Style, Job Promotion, And Work Motivation on Employee Job Satisfaction at Perumda Bank Perekonomian Rakyat
Purpose: This investigation aimed to ascertain how leadership style, position promotion, and job motivation affected Perumda Bank Perekonomian Rakyat (BPR) employees’ job satisfaction.
Design/methodology/approach: This study’s methodology is quantitative and makes use of primary data collected from 132 employees. Research instrument testing, multiple regression analysis, traditional assumption testing, and hypothesis testing are examples of data analysis techniques. To use “Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 25” as a tool for data processing and computation when conducting research.
Findings: The findings demonstrate that at Perumda Bank Perekonomian Rakyat (BPR), work motivation, leadership style, and position promotion all have a simultaneous and considerable influence on employee job satisfaction.
Research limitations/implications: While there are several other elements that might also impact other employees’ job happiness, the three independent variables examined in this study are leadership style, promotion, and work motivation. Additionally, a questionnaire is used to collect data for this study, and the information gathered explains how Perumda Bank Perekonomian Rakyat (BPR) employees feel about their job satisfaction with the organization. Researchers have no control over the responses provided by respondents to each questionnaire.
Practical implications: Lack of communication between leaders and employees and lack of space for employees to convey their input and aspirations. This implies that the lowest score on the employee job satisfaction variable needs to be improved by improving the compensation and benefits system so that employees feel valued and get proper welfare, establishing a welcoming and encouraging workplace to boost motivation and comfort among employees, providing career development programs and training to provide opportunities for employees to improve skills and career paths, implementing an objective and transparent performance appraisal system so that employees feel treated fairly in terms of promotions and awards and improving the balance between work and personal life with flexible work policies and proportional workloads.
Originality/value: 87%. With the exception of a few brief quotes that are supplied as references, the researcher indicates that this study is unique and the first to be implemented at Perumda Bank Perekonomian Rakyat (BPR).

Marketing Strategy in Moderation of Social Media & Marketplace to Increase Sales Turnover Anticipating the Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic at Rasana Juice Surabaya
Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of marketing strategy on sales turnover with each moderating variable, namely social media and marketplace.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This research is a causal associative research with a quantitative approach, for data processing with SEM method and using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The variables analyzed in this study are product (X1) , price (X2) , location/distribution (X3) , promotion (X4) , sales volume (Y) , social media (SM) and marketplace (M). The population in this study is MSMEs for beverage products with a total sample of 152 MSMEs. The data collection methods used were interviews and questionnaires with a Likert measurement scale, then the questionnaire was tested by T-test (partial) and F-test (simultaneous).
Findings: The results of testing the X variable against Y with social media moderator show that all variables have a significant and positive effect except the price variable on sales volume in social media moderation (X2*SM -> Y) and promotion variables on sales volume in social media moderation (X4*SM -> Y) , both results were rejected because P Value > 0.05. While the research results from testing the X variable against Y with the marketplace moderator show that all variables have a significant and positive effect except the product variable on sales volume (X1 -> Y) and the price variable on sales volume in marketplace moderation (X2*M -> Y) , both results > 0.05 which means it is not significant.

Analysis of the Impact of E-Wallet Use on Generation Z
Purpose: This study aims to identify impulse purchase tendencies in consumers who often see promotions and digital payment options and research on digital wallet applications that are most in demand by Generation Z by University of 17 Agustus 1945 Samarinda. A variety of choices of digital wallet applications that can offer convenience and benefits for users are very much a trend today in the Generation Z era. This study uses a qualitative method where interviews and observations are used as data collection techniques. Based on the observations made, it can be concluded that the use of the DANA digital wallet application by UNTAG Samarinda students, especially in generation Z, increases every year, this is marked by the majority of respondents stating that they have a good experience with the DANA application. The DANA application has an advantage over the Go-Pay digital wallet application, namely the absence of additional administrative fees.
Methodology: This study uses natural methods and verbal descriptions in specific contexts through extensive data collection. The respondents in this study are Generation Z students of UNTAG Samarinda with an age range of 18-29 years.
Findings: The results of this study show that more people are interested in using the DANA application than Go-Pay than DANA.
Limitations/implications: This research has several limitations that need to be developed in the future. First, the research only focuses on Generation Z. Second, this research only uses a comparison of two digital applications, DANA and Go-Pay.

Autonomous Maritime Logistics in the Age of Sustainable Digital Transformation: An Integrative Framework for Smart and Green Shipping
The maritime logistics sector is undergoing a profound transformation driven by the convergence of automation, digitalization, and sustainability imperatives. This paper explores the emerging paradigm of autonomous maritime logistics within a sustainable digital framework, addressing both technological and regulatory dimensions. Using a multidisciplinary lens combining systems theory, environmental economics, and maritime informatics, this study synthesizes recent empirical findings and proposes a conceptual model integrating autonomous technologies with environmental and operational performance indicators. The novelty of this research lies in its articulation of a sustainable-autonomous symbiosis as the future backbone of maritime logistics infrastructure. Implementation of the Accounting Cycle in the Sukowijoyo Batik Business Unit in Village-Owned Enterprises Sukowidi, Magetan Regency
Purpose: This study aims to understand and analyze the implementation of the accounting cycle in the Batik Sukowijoyo business unit managed by the Sukowidi Village-Owned Enterprise in Magetan Regency. Design/Methodology/Approach: This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature reviews. Data analysis was carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions.
Findings: The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of the accounting cycle in the Batik Sukowijoyo business unit is not yet organized. Recording of financial transactions is done in a very simple manner and does not meet applicable accounting standards. Several processes such as journaling, general ledger bookkeeping, balance sheet preparation, adjustments, and financial report preparation have not been fully implemented. This occurs due to the lack of workers with accounting experience and the limited technical training available. This study recommends the need for basic accounting training for Village-Owned Enterprise managers, the development of a simpler accounting system that is in accordance with existing regulations, and obtaining support from external parties such as academics or related institutions to improve financial management in the Batik Sukowijoyo business unit in the future.
Research limitations/implications: The findings of this study are expected to be used as a reference by subsequent researchers.
Practical implications: With the findings of this study, the Sukowijoyo Batik Business Unit is expected to be able to implement the accounting cycle in a systematic manner, making it easier for managers to record financial transactions.
Originality/value: This research is an initial research conducted by researchers at the Batik Sukowijoyo Unit at the Sukowidi Village-Owned Enterprise regarding the accounting cycle.

The challenges affecting entrepreneurial intentions amongst sport management students at a South African University.
The uniqueness of sports, given the spread of entrepreneurship in industries and organizations, has provided dynamic opportunities for entrepreneurs. This study investigates the challenges affecting sport management student entrepreneurial intentions at a South African university. A qualitative, explanatory research design was employed, utilising structured interviews with ten undergraduate sport management students. The data was analysed using thematic analysis through ATLAS.ti software. The results indicate that a significant number of students perceive entrepreneurship as a viable solution to combat the high unemployment rate in the sports industry. Key challenges identified include a lack of entrepreneurial skills, insufficient support from family and peers, and limited access to resources. The study highlights the necessity for universities to integrate entrepreneurial education into their curricula to enhance entrepreneurial mindset and self-efficacy. The findings suggest that addressing these challenges through targeted educational strategies can empower sport management students to pursue entrepreneurial ventures, thereby contributing to their employability and the growth of the sports sector. This will provide room for improvement among tertiary education, government, and subjective norms, such as family, friends, and significant others. The primary focus will be on tertiary institutions to help them identify strategies for addressing sport management students' entrepreneurial intentions
THE EFFECT OF LIQUIDITY RATIO AND OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY ON PROFITABILITY WITH CREDIT RISK AS AN INTERVENING VARIABLE
Purpose: Banks serve a vital function as financial intermediaries by directing public funds into credit allocation. This research investigates how liquidity ratios and operational efficiency influence profitability, with credit risk acting as a mediator, in publicly traded banks in Indonesia from 2018 to 2021.
Methods: Employing purposive sampling, the data were analyzed using PLS regression techniques.
Findings: The findings reveal that the liquidity ratio significantly impacts credit risk directly, while it does not have a significant direct effect on profitability. Additionally, operational efficiency significantly affects credit risk and also has a direct impact on profitability. Furthermore, credit risk is shown to significantly influence profitability. However, liquidity ratios do not significantly affect profitability through credit risk, nor does operational efficiency have a significant effect on profitability when mediated by credit risk.
