    Intrinsic and Extrinsic Work Values and Organizational Commitment Among Employees of Um Tagum College

    The main goal of this study was to determine if there is a significant relationship between work values and organizational commitment among employees of UM Tagum College using quantitative non-experimental research design utilizing correlational technique with 106 employees of UM Tagum College using purposive sampling technique in determining the respondents. Mean and Pearson (r) were the statistical tools used for data treatment. Results showed a very high level of both intrinsic and extrinsic work values among employees of UM Tagum College. Moreover, high level of organizational commitment was attributed among employees of UM Tagum College. Lastly, the result further showed that intrinsic work values and extrinsic work values have significant relationship with organizational commitment among employees of UM Tagum College

    The Role of Gender and Personal Traits in Determining Business Performance of Ghana’s Informal Slum Businesses

    Purpose: It has been established that most informal businesses in Ghana are performing well and earn incomes higher than the poverty line threshold. The current study, therefore, aims at ascertaining how one’s gender and personal traits (locus of control) affect business performance. Design/methodology/approach: To this effect, cross sectional quantitative data was obtained from 344 participants in two informal settlements in Ghana using a structured interview. The independent sample T-test was used to analyse the data. Findings: It was found out that there was no significant difference between the performances of male or female owned businesses. Furthermore, it was also discovered that there was a significant difference in the business performance of operators based on locus of control

    The Role of Halal Label to Increase the Effect of Attitude Toward Halal Product on Brand Image and Purchase Intention

    Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the role of halal labels in affecting attitude toward halal products on brand image and purchase intention among Muslim consumers in Malang. Design/methodology/approach: Quantitative methods were employed in this study to reveal the important role of attitude toward halal directly on brand image and purchase intention or indirectly through halal label. In addition to analyzing the direct and indirect effects, this study also confirms how the relationship and significance between each construct and its indicators. Findings: The results of the research findings indicate that each effect on the relationship between variables was found to be significant. The most important determinant of halal labeling is halal product attitude. Meanwhile, the halal label is the most important factor in encouraging brand image and purchase intention. Research limitations/implications: Discussion of Islamic branding especially in the halal label can be considered as a separate theoretical study. It is considered that the epistemological basis of Islamic marketing theory, models, and approaches is rather limited in terms of its development. Practical implications: This research provides practical implications about the importance of halal product management by product marketers in the Malang area Originality/value: There is an increasing need for clarifying the need to establish a theoretical framework for Islamic Branding with Halal Labels when they intersect as in terms of Islamic concepts, theories, models and approaches

    Optimizing the Creative Industry Through the Development of the Triple Helix Model

    Purpose: The purpose of this research is to optimize the creative industry through the development of a triple helix model that connects universities, industry, and government. Design/methodology/approach: The method used is an ethnographic approach starting from the collection of literature sources and supported by field data. Findings: The results showed that batik entrepreneurs in Lumajang district, apart from preserving culture, were also used to improve the economy of the surrounding community. The batik culture is in the form of regional motifs such as the batik motif of the great banana, sand, and semeru mountain which are applied to the cloth with the batik process which will later be used as uniforms for the Lumajang Regency Government. Increasing the capacity of batik craftsmen also needs improvement through training activities. Research limitations/implications: This research is limited to bamboo craftsmen in Papring Banyuwangi. Practical implications: This research can be used as input for stakeholders to be used as a reference in optimizing the creative industry. Research Purposes namely; 1). How is the communication that occurs in UGJ and Unisba Students ?; 2). What about the collaboration that happened with UGJ and Unisba Students ?; 3). What is the community like for UGJ and Unisba students ?; 4). How is the creativity that occurs in UGJ and Unisba students? 5). How is the convergence that occurs in UGJ and Unnisba students? This research uses descriptive research, with qualitative research types. The results showed that the communication that occurs in UGJ and Unisba Students 1. They communicate with friends on campus or off campus directly persona, indirect group communication using the media. Hobbies related to the world. Their conversation has the same importance as perception, understanding, and lack of insight. 2. Collaboration conducted by them discussed the work, while the other informants from UGJ students also discussed the polemic on campus, to be conveyed to the invited parties. 3. The community involved in the Student Association organization likes Himakom and is active in managing laboratories, their activities off campus because of the same hobbies and friendships. 4. Creativity that occurs has a wide association, increase knowledge, friendship, get a sense of care also to pay attention to each other. 5.     The Influence of Leadership and Motivation on The Performance of Islamic Instructors in West Sulawesi Province

    Purpose: To analyze the influence of leadership and motivation on the performance of Islamic religion instructors in West Sulawesi province. Design/methodology/approach: This research was conducted by involving as many as 125 Islamic religious staff who were civil servants at the office of the Ministry of Religion of West Sulawesi province as respondents. Leadership and motivation are independent variables in this study. Meanwhile, performance is the dependent variable, besides motivation, it is an intermediary variable, the leadership variable, and the performance variable. Findings: The equation that can be formed from the results of the analysis is: Y = 0.22 X1 + 0.75 X2, where Y is performance and X1 is leadership and X2 is motivation. Leadership has a positive and significant effect on the performance of Islamic instructor workers as indicated by the path coefficient at 0.22 with a p-value less than 0.01. Similarly, leadership and significant positive effect on the motivation of 0.89 with a p-value of less than 0,01. Motivation has a positive and significant effect on the performance of religious educators with a value of 0.75 with a p-value less than 0.01. Leadership and motivational variables together influence the performance variable by 66, 7 % with a p-value smaller than at 0.05. In the mediation test with the Sobel test, the Z count is 10.963024, much greater than the Z table value of 1.96, which means that the motivation variable significantly mediates the relationship between the leadership and performance variables. The suggestion that the researcher can give to the Ministry of Religion of West Sulawesi province is to increase the quality of leadership by improving several things, especially the dimensions of personal attention, this can be developed by fostering respect for subordinates and creating more harmonious relationships, motivating to work more creatively and innovatively. Should always be listened to, as well as training extension workers to increase cooperation among other extension agents in completing missions carried out by the ministry of religion. Practical implications: the recommendations of this study can serve as guidelines for improving the performance of Islamic religious extension agents in the ministry of religion in general...     Ancestors Worship Based on Timorese Perspectives in Oelbubuk Village, Central Mollo Sub-District, Timor Tengah Selatan District

    Purpose: In 1928, Timorese in Oelbubuk had abandoned their original beliefs and converted to Christianity. Now, belief in Uis Neno (sky god) is interpreted as God, Uis Pah (earth god) is lost in meaning, while the meaning of Pah Nitu (ancestor) is still maintained. Even though they have become Christians, the worship of Pah Nitu persisted in their lives. Why is that? What is so special about Pah Nitu for Timorese? Design/methodology/approach: This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques in the form of Participant Observation, and Indepth Interview and Literature Study to answer that question. Findings: Through interviews with Tua Adat, Village Heads and Timorese in Oelbubuk, it was found that even though they had become Christians, worship of Pah Nitu was maintained, because the lives of Timorese in Oelbubuk depended entirely on the role of Pah Nitu. Research limitations/implications: Result shows existence of original belief of the Timorese in Oelbubuk centered on the belief in the existence of a celestial deity called Uis Neno. There are also other objects of worship that are considered as a manifestation of the manifestation of Uis Neno, namely Uis Pah (earth god) and Pah Nitu (ancestral spirits) Practical implications: This research shows that Pah Nitu is understood as an important figure that will not be replaced by the role of any religious teachings (including Christianity).     Customer loyalty is very important in a very tough business competition because loyalty will benefit the company's long-term development. To get customer loyalty, companies need to do the right marketing strategy so that it can affect customer loyalty. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of advertising, sales promotion and service quality on customer loyalty at Bank Jatim Indonesia, Branch of Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya. The population in this study was 2,155 customers, the number of samples using the Slovin formula was 96. The data analysis technique used was multiple regression analysis. The research results are: 1) There is an influence of advertising on customer loyalty at Bank Jatim Branch of Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya, 2) There is an influence of sales promotions on customer loyalty at Bank Jatim Branch of Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya, 3) There is an influence of service quality on customer loyalty at Bank Jatim Branch of Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya, 4) There is an influence of advertising, sales promotion and service quality simultaneously on customer loyalty at Bank Jatim Branch of Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya, 5) Among the variables of advertising, sales promotion and service quality, the sales promotion variable has a dominant influence on customer loyalty at the Bank Jatim Branch of  Dr. Soetomo Hospital Surabaya
