Error Analysis of Islamic Primary School (MTs) Students in Resolving Questions on the Materials of Cartesian Coordinate With Malay Culture Nuance in Riau
Students experience problems while working in Math, with full of difficulties. They made mistakes in the process of solving questions. The error process that occurred in students leads to the low achievement of the learning outcomes. This research aimed to investigate the mistakes made by MTs students in working on the questions of the Cartesian coordinate integrated with Malay cultural nuances in Riau Province. The study was conducted at MTs in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. A descriptive approach was used as a research method with a purposive sampling technique. This technique used a test and interview to collect research data. The results of the study described that the errors faced by MTS NurulBilad students included: (1) 55% of misconceptions because students did not understand the concept in the material of Cartesian coordinate (2) procedural errors that 76% of students did not match the stages or steps in the process of drawing on the Cartesian coordinate. Based on the findings, it was hoped that the teacher emphasized more understanding about the concept of Cartesian coordinate
Description of Mathematical Reasoning Ability on Vocational School Students in Square Root Material
The aim of this study is to describe the mathematical reasoning ability of students at TSM major (Motorcycle Engineering) Darul Karomah Singosari on square root material. This study applies descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected using test instrument that has been tested on three research subjects, and analyzed using qualitative descriptive technique. The results show that low- ability (Kemampuan Rendah) subject is the student with less mathematical reasoning ability because the subject has not been able to solve the five existing indicators of mathematical reasoning, middle- ability (Kemampuan Sedang) subject include student with moderate mathematical reasoning ability (although the subject has not fulfilled the five indicators of mathematical reasoning requirements), this can be seen from his effort to make a mathematical assumption even though the conjecture made was not correct, and high- ability (Kemampuan Tinggi) subject refers to the student with high mathematical reasoning ability because he can fulfill two of the five indicators of mathematical reasoning
ALGEBRA PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY BASED ON SOLO TAXONOMY ASSESSED FROM COGNITIVE STYLE
Algebra is a branch of mathematics that uses mathematical statements to describe the relationship between various things. This study aims to describe the algebra problem solving abilities of students in the Linear Program course. There are differences in student problem solving, which are caused by students' cognitive styles. Reflective and impulsive cognitive styles based on the SOLO taxonomy. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted at STKIP Kusuma Negara Jakarta. The research subjects consisted of 4 students, 2 students having a reflective cognitive style and 2 students having an impulsive style. Purposive sampling technique was used in taking the subjects.Data collection techniques used cognitive style test questions Matching Familiar Figures Test (MFFT), algebra problem solving test questions and interview guidelines. Data collection techniques used two techniques, namely written tests and interviews. Technical analysis of data by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. From the data processing, the results of the research were 2 students whose have flexible cognitive style also have good algebra problem solving abilities and based on SOLO taxonomy reached the Extended abstract level. Meanwhile, students who have an impulsive cognitive style in solving algebra problems based more on the SOLO taxonomy have Multistructural and Unistructural levels. So each cognitive style of students gives the different results in solving problems
NEED ANALYSIS OF STUDENT WORKSHEET (LKS) OF IONIC EQUILIBRIUM AND pH OF THE SALT SOLUTION BASED ON PROBLEM SOLVING
Problem solving skills are one of the skills needed by students in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, so it becomes a challenge for a teacher to design creative learning. One of the media that supports students' problem solving skills is to use worksheets. Meanwhile, the worksheets used so far are general in nature. Suitable worksheets are developed that support students in solving problems, namely problem solving-based worksheets. This study aims to analyze the need for problem solving-based student worksheets. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. This needs analysis is part of the research and development of the 4D model, specifically the Define stage. The subjects in this study were students of class XII in SMA Negeri 3 Cirebon City and chemistry teachers as informants. The results showed that students needed worksheets that were more attractive and easy to understand. The worksheets available are in accordance with KD, KI and the 2013 curriculum, but not yet according to student needs. Based on data obtained from several analyzes including analysis of student perceptions, teacher perceptions, student characteristics, curriculum, assignments, concepts and analysis of learning objectives. So it is necessary to develop problem solving worksheets, especially in the matter of ionic equilibrium and pH of salt solutions which can train students to solve problems and relate theory to facts in everyday life
MORPHOLOGICAL AND CHROMOSOMAL CHARACTERIZATION OF ORCHID Peristylus goodyeroides Lindl. FROM CURUG SETAWING, KULONPROGO
Peristylus goodyeroides is a terestrial orchid that scattered around Southeast Asia. Morphological characters of P. goodyeroides can vary, depending on the ecological factors and habitat. Cytological characters in the form of chromosome configurations can be used as a taxonomic tool for the process of identifying and understanding variations in taxa. The purpose of this study was to determine the morphological characters and chromosome configuration of the P. goodyeroides from Curug Setawing, Kulonprogo. The method used was morphological characterization and plant chromosome preparation by squash method with the main steps of fixation, maceration, staining and observation. Data were analyzed with the help of Image raster 3, Corel Draw X7, and Microsoft Excel 2013. P. goodyeroides from Curug Setawing has the morphological characters of root tubers, cylindrical stems, ovate leaf shape, convolutive leaf arrangement and creamy white flowers. The orchid has a number of chromosomes 2n = 10 with a karyotype formula of 2n = 2x = 8m + 2t. Metacentric chromosomes are found on chromosomes 1-8 and telocentric chromosomes 9-10. The absolute arm length of the chromosomes has a range of 2.03-3.44 μm, the relative arm length of the chromosomes is 2.21-3.32 μm, the length of the p arm is 1.13-1.58 μm and the q arm is 1.23-2.12 μm
ANTIBACTERIAL POTENTIAL ETHANOL EXTRACT OF KAYU RACUN LEAF (Rhinacanthus nasutus) AGAINST Staphylococcus aureus AND METHICILLIN RESISTANT Staphylococcus aureus
The excessive use of antibiotics in the treatment of infections or diseases caused by Staphylococcus aureus is the main cause of antibiotic resistance. Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) strains are a serious problem because of their wide distribution in the clinical environment and the living community, so it is necessary to search for antibacterial sources from natural products and traditional medicines such as Kayu racun leaves (Rhinacanthus nasutus). Information regarding the content of the active ingredient and the antibacterial potential of the ethanol extract of Kayu racun leaves is still limited. This study aims to test the phytochemical and antibacterial activity of the ethanol extract of Kayu racun leaves against S. aureus and MRSA bacteria by invitro. The research used an experimental method and was divided into two stages, namely; Phytochemical test of the ethanol extract of Kayu racun leaves using the Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) method and the antibacterial activity test of the ethanol extract of Kayu racun leaves against S. aureus and MRSA using the paper disc diffusion method. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the ethanol extract of Kayu racun leaves contains alkaloids, phenols, and flavonoids. The best antibacterial activity was found at a concentration of 100 mg/ml with an inhibition zone diameter of 26.20 mm against S. aureus and 17.90 mm against MRSA
PENGEMBANGAN BUKU AJAR BIODIVERSITAS BERBASIS KAJIAN ETNOBIOLOGI SUKU DAYAK LOSARANG
The textbooks used so far have not utilized learning resources to the fullest, such as the utilization of existing potential in the surrounding environment, planting values, and environmental awareness.Biodiversity textbook based on ethnobiology studies of the Suku Dayak Losarang is a product of the development of textbooks that can be used in biology learning on the concept of biodiversity.This study aims to look at the feasibility of biodiversity textbooks based on the ethnobiology study of the Suku Dayak Losarang Tribe and see the effectiveness of the textbook in biology learning in class X senior high school. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with eight stages of development models. Product Textbooks are validated by experts and practitioners using validation sheets. The validation results show that the book is suitable for use because it is good in terms of content worthiness, linguistics, and presentation. The textbook was tested on a small scale test and continued with a large scale test. The results of the effectiveness test using the different test showed that the biodiversity textbook based on the Suku Dayak Losarang was effectively used in biologylearning. Student responses to textbooks also scored high on all indicators.AbstrakBuku ajar yang digunakan selama ini belum memanfaatkan sumber belajar secara maksimal, seperti pemanfaatan potensi yang ada di lingkungan sekitar, penanaman nilai, dan kesadaran lingkungan hidup. Buku ajar biodiversitas berbasis kajian etnobiologi Suku Dayak Losarang merupakan produk pengembangan buku ajar yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi pada konsep keanekaragaman hayati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat kelayakan buku ajar biodiversitas berbasis kajian etnobiologi Suku Dayak Losarang dan melihat efektivitas buku ajar tersebut dalam pembelajaran biologi di kelas X. Jenis penelitian ini ialah Research and Development (R&D) dengan 10 tahapan model pengembangan. Produk Buku ajar divalidasi oleh para ahli dan praktisi dengan menggunakan lembar validasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan buku layak digunakan karena sudah baik dalam hal kelayakan isi, kebahasaan, dan penyajian. Saran dari validator dijadikan acuan dalam merevisi buku ajar biodiversitas Suku Dayak Losarang. Buku ajar hasil revisi diujicobakan pada uji skala kecil (satu sekolah) dan dilanjutkan uji skala besar (tiga sekolah). Hasil uji efektivitas menggunakan uji t menunjukkan bahwa buku ajar biodiversitas berbasis Suku Dayak Losarang efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi. Respon siswa terhadap buku ajar juga mendapat nilai tinggi pada semua indikator. Artinya buku ajar biodiversitas berbasis kajian Suku Dayak Losarang dapat digunakan pada pembelajaran keanekaragaman hayati di kelas X SMA dan dapat disebarluaskan khususnya di Kabupaten Indramayu. PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF BERORIENTASI BRAIN BASED LEARNING UNTUK MELATIH KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS SISWA
This study aims to find out how the process development of cooperative learning tools oriented to brain-based learning to train thinking skills critical mathematical students. The learning toolswdeveloped consisted of lesson plan, worksheet, and learning achievement test. Thiswdevelopment research method uses a modified 4-Df model which consistss of define,ydesign, andtdevelop. The result of this study is that the cooperative learning tool is brain-based learning that is good because the validator team states that the learning device that has been developed is valid, and the implementation of the test, the device meets certain requirements and THB is reliable, valid and sensitive.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran kooperatif berorientasi brain based learning untuk melatih kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan meliputi: RPP, LKS dan THB. Penelitian pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan model 4-D yang telah dimodifikasi yang terdiri dari define, design, dan develop. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan adalah perangkat pembelajaran kooperatif berorientasi brain based learning yang baik telah didapatkan karena tim validator menyatakan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid, dan pelaksanaan uji coba, perangkat memenuhi syarat-syarat tertentu dan tes hasil belajar reliabel, valid dan sensitif.Kata Kunci: Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran, Pembelajaran Kooperatif, Brain Based Learning, Logaritma, Berpikir Kritis Matemati
SYSTEMATIC ANALYSIS OF MATHEMATICS TEXTBOOK BASE ON THE 2013 CURRICULUM IN TRIANGLES AND QUADRILATERAL MATERIAL
The purpose of this study is to analyze the systematic mathematics textbook that refers to the 2013 curriculum for the 2017 revised edition based on the following four components: (1) the discovery of triangles and quadrilateral definitions; (2) the discovery of the formula for the area of a triangle and a quadrilateral; (3) arrangement of triangles and quadrilateral; and (4) facilities to create concept maps for students. Type of this study was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The description given in this study was about the systematic mathematics textbook that refers to the 2013 curriculum for the 2017 revised edition by reviewing the four components. Data analysis in this study used content analysis The conclusions of this study are (1) there is no facility to find definitions of the types of triangles and quadrilateral; (2) there are facilities to find the formula of triangles and quadrilateral use the help table, not by using the other quadrilateral area approach; (3) the arrangement of triangles and quadrilateral materials is not right yet; and (4) there is no the facility to create concept maps for students.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sistematika dari buku teks matematika yang mengacu pada kurikulum 2013 untuk edisi revisi 2017 berdasarkan empat komponen berikut: (1) penemuan definisi segitiga dan segiempat; (2) penemuan rumus luas daerah segitiga dan segiempat; (3) susunan materi segitiga dan segiempat; dan (4) fasilitas membuat peta konsep bagi siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Deskripsi yang diberikan dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang sistematika buku teks matematika yang mengacu pada kurikulum 2013 untuk edisi revisi 2017 dengan meninjau empat komponen. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) belum terdapat fasilitas untuk menemukan definisi jenis segitiga dan segiempat; (2) terdapat fasilitas untuk menemukan rumus segitiga dan segiempat menggunakan tabel bantuan, bukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan area segiempat lainnya; (3) urutan materi segitiga dan segiempat belum benar; dan (4) tidak ada fasilitas untuk membuat peta konsep untuk siswa.Kata Kunci: analisis, sistematika, kurikulum 2013, segitiga, dan segiempa
EFEKTIVITAS IMUNOMODULATOR EKSTRAK DAUN MACANG (Mangifera Foetida L.) TERHADAP SEL MAKROFAG TIKUS PUTIH (Rattus norvegicus)
Macang (Mangifera foetida L.) has potential as an effect herbal medicinal plant with antioxidant content, namely mangiferin. The aim of this study is to prove empirically study that macang has an immunomodulatory effect through preclinical testing. This study use white mice (Rattus norvegicus) as experimental animals and Staphylococcus aureus as test bacteria. Rats were give leaf extracts of 3 varieties of orally for 7 days using 3 prescribe doses in ppm. On the 8th day, each rats was induce by an intraperitoneal section with 0,5 ml of the bacterial suspension tested. Observation of peritoneal fluid through smear preparations includes 2 parameters, phagocytosis activity and capacity. The result showed that the immunomodulatory effects on batu varieties were effective at dose 2 (10 ppm = 0,01 mg/g), limus varieties and manis varieties were effective at dose 1 (1 ppm = 0,001 mg/g). According to this research, it was concluded that leaf extracts of three varieties macang could be used as immunomodulators.AbstrakMacang (Mangifera foetida L.) mempunyai potensi sebagai tumbuhan obat herbal dengan kandungan antioksidan yaitu mangiferin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuktikan efek imunomodulator pada tiga varietas macang (batu, limus dan manis) melalui uji praklinik. Penelitian ini menggunakan tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) sebagai hewan uji dan Staphylococcus aureus sebagai bakteri uji. Tikus diberi ekstrak daun tiga varietas macang secara oral selama tujuh hari menggunakan tiga serial dosis dalam satuan ppm. Pada hari ke-8, setiap tikus putih diinduksi bagian intraperitoneal dengan 0,5 ml suspensi bakteri uji. Pengamatan cairan peritoneal melalui preparat apusan meliputi 2 parameter yaitu aktivitas dan kapasitas fagositosis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efek imunomodulator pada varietas batu efektif pada dosis 2 (10 ppm=0,01 mg/g), varietas limus dan manis efektif pada dosis 1 (10 ppm=0,001mg/g). Disimpulkan bahwa daun macang (Mangifera foetida) berpotensi digunakan sebagai imunomodulator.Kata kunci : Fagositosis makrofag, Imunomodulator, Mangifera foetid
