IT investment decisions made by the company have uncertain value characteristics; have a high risk than other capital investment failures and intangible benefits of expected. In this situation, effective decision making is an important (perhaps most important) part of managerial activity. In this article, we analyze the influence of decision making under uncertainty, company size, and environmental hostility to intuition and analyze the intuition of company performance. There are five companies as study sample (ie: university, hospital, regional owned enterprises, creative industry, and software house industry) in East Java, Indonesia. The method used was a survey. The respondents were Top Level Management that is responsible for IT investment decision. Data analysis techniques used was Structural Equation Modeling-Generalize Structure Component Analysis (SEM-GSCA). Although intuition process is critical for effective IT investment decision making, we found that: (1) decision making under uncertainty and environmental hostility did not affect on intuition; (2) company size has a positive effect on intuition, and (3) intuition has a positive effect on company performanc

The mine Exploration is an activity to find the points where an area could be mined and the area is still mined, for economic value. One of the most important in the work of mining is the calculation of the estimated potential of mine. Estimation of the potential mine played an important role in determining the amount of work the quality, production, how the mining is done, even to estimate the time required to do the mining. With the advancement of technology in the field of remote sensing, computation of the vast potential of the estimation and the quality of limestone can be done using high resolution satellite image data one is Quickbird. Satellite image data can be used for a wide range of research, such as the mapping of rock quality in relation to the exploration of natural resources. Vast potential of Cretaceous rocks in Semanding sub district is dominated by the high potential of an area of 5480,479 ha. To a limestone rock quality obtained based on limestone CaCO3 levels, the most highs quality i.e. have levels of CaCO3 amounted to 6.81%

PT XYZ is a heavy equipment rental company and mining contractor. One of its working areas is an open coal mine in South Kalimantan, obtained a contract to lease heavy equipment in the form of 14 (fourteen) Caterpillar 773E Off Highway Trucks. Mine owner have availability targets and application of penalties, PT XYZ must implement appropriate maintenance and maintenance strategies. In 2018, the OHT total down time is 34,061.30 hours. For 15,272.00 hours (44.8%) downtime is caused by major component breakdown. The high cost of repairing components makes it difficult for company management to determine the decision to repair. To meet the heavy equipment availability target of mine owner, PT XYZ must implement appropriate maintenance and maintenance strategies. High off Highway Truck (OHT) availability can be achieved by minimizing downtime. The purpose of this research is to determine a general overhaul (GOH) time interval that has the greatest effect on the availability of Caterpillar 773E Off Highway Truck. In order for minimization of downtime to have a significant impact, it must be determined which critical components have the most influence on costs. Next step is determined the GOH interval by considering the smallest cost impact. The results of research show Caterpillar 773E OHT critical components are engine, transmission, final drive and torque converter. The GOH interval is 17,992.81 hour

National GDP and East Java Province GRDP show an increasing trend. The increase occurred because it was supported by an increase in several macro-industries such as the creative industry, real estate industry, and others. This shows good economic conditions in East Java Province. While the increase in the number of new households continues to increase, the need for home ownership continues to increase and the backlog of homes in East Java is still high above around 1,000,000 housing units every year, so the need for architectural services to make the design of houses or buildings still exists. Therefore, further analysis is needed by analyzing the investment feasibility study in establishing an architectural design service business. Investment analysis is done by making the business model based on BMC and analyzing from several aspects such as financial aspects and non-financial aspects (market and marketing aspects, operational aspects, and management aspects). This study uses qualitative methods, where data collection is done by means of discussion (Focus Group Discussion), interviews, and through literature. By conducting an investment feasibility study based on the BMC business model, it is expected to obtain a feasible business model for Architectural services business in meeting the needs of the design of the house or buildin

Green Leaf Threshing (GLT) plant is an upstream company from the tobacco industries. The GLT main processing is separate the lamina from the stem and also dry out the tobacco into safe storage moisture content. One of the problems in the GLT factory is the high frequency of refeed / rework / reprocess on defective products. High refeed frequency increases production costs and eliminates customer trust. The aim of this study is to reduce refeed frequency. Six sigma is a methodology that can be used widely in manufacturing companies and services for continuous quality improvement. The Six sigma DMAI framework is used to find out the problems and solutions. The root cause of refeed are determined using fish bone diagrams and 5 Whys tool. The ranks for improvement are determined from the RPN using FMEA Analysis. The suggested program for improvement are investing tool, repairing tool and training worker. The results of identification indicate that defects due to inappropriateness moisture content are the highest cause of refeed. The results of the improvement indicate an increaseing sigma level from 3.72 to 3,97. The DPMO also declined from 13,220 to 6,823. Increasing sigma levelprovides benefit of Rp. 20.530.760

Neo-realism argues that states belong to an anarchic world in which there is no great power governing on it. State is required to have survival capability in a self-help system. Inter-state relations may encourage a country to exercise their power as a means of survival in an anarchist world. The Atlantic Sea plays a vital role in maintaining international stability and security to balance the power distribution within the region. Since days of discovery, Portugal have shown their capabilities in navigating the sea, through high seas, islands and across continents in looking for most-wanted sources at the time, spices. They have cemented their dominance at various strategic points along international shipping lanes. Further, having the longest coastline in Europe makes Portugal´s politics in maritime realm quite decisive. Based on the neo-realism perspective developed by Kenneth Waltz, the author outlines the strategic steps adopted by Portuguese towards transition of global power during post World-War II. This article reveals that construction of Portuguese national identity determines their national interest in regards of their foreign policy in maritime security policy

An increase number of internet usage has an influence on service operators to be able to provide a variety of services (multi services) and improve internet network technology for their customers. One of them is an Internet Service Provider (ISP) company. The customer's obligation is to pay bills on time in accordance with company's terms and conditions agreed upon at the beginning of the internet installation. However, late payments still occur at least once a year. This affects the company's business processes and finances. While on the customer side, this causes internet isolation. The purpose of this study is to analyze any variables that have a relationship with the late payment based on customer bills. The analytical method used was the Chi-Square test. The number of samples used was 400 customers with purposive sampling technique. In addition, an analysis of the pattern of customer characteristics in bill payments was done to determine whether there was a dependency based on regional mapping in Surabaya using the Morans'I and LISA Cluster Map indexes. The result showed that there was a significant relationship between address, income level, employment status, and payment period with payment status. There was no significant relationship between customer type, subscription package, and educational level with payment status. In addition, it is known that customers tend to make payments above the agreed time period. The mapping results by region showed that there were customer patterns that were clustered and having similar characteristics in adjacent locations. Autocorrelation showed positive dependencies of total income and employment status variable
