Roma and Sinti young people are a historical presence that makes us reflect on the ability of intercultural schools to guarantee equal opportunities, respecting differences and without discrimination. The literature shows the difficulties of the Roma population at school, the different attitudes of teachers, but also some changes in the attitudes and experiences of Roma and Sinti. The contribution proposes a reflection starting from a multi-year research project carried out in Reggio Emilia, with interviews with teachers, municipal operators, Sinti students from Reggio Emilia and parents, culminating in a research-training project in 2023 that brought together different perspectives in order to grasp the representations and attitudes of teachers, educators and social workers, and the ability to recognize the changes present and the repercussions on teaching practices. The research findings highlight the existence of dynamic identities, often reified and caged, in which schools can play a new role, questioning the ability of educational contexts to see this dynamism and adopt flexible practices capable of responding to the needs and potential of Sinti pupils.I giovani rom e sinti sono una presenza storica che fa riflettere sulla capacità della scuola interculturale di garantire pari opportunità, nel rispetto delle differenze e senza discriminazioni.
The paper examines the history as well as the current situation of the Calabrian romani community of ancient settlement, with a specific focus on the relationship with the school. The presence of these communities in the Calabria region is documented from the fifteenth century. The analysis focuses on the education system, which, over time, has adopted alternating methods of inclusion and exclusion, up to the current phase in which there are no longer special lacio drom classes but the tendency to medicalize Roma children to a greater extent, contributing to the persistence of stereotypes and indirectly contributing to not favoring inclusion. To date, some progress has certainly been made, but structural and social difficulties persist, with high rates of diagnostic certification among roma children, often without corresponding justification. Through a series of interviews with graduates, roma activists and teachers, the contribution highlights the importance of family support, the sensitivity of teachers and the role of associations for school success. The study concludes by highlighting the need for greater awareness of the history and culture of the roma in order to promote a real integration and enhancement of the potential of roma students.

The work of Nelly Sachs, Nobel Prize winner for Literature in 1966, is characterized by her aim to express the traumatic experiences of victims and survivors of the genocidal project of Nazism against the Jewish minority. The poet’s voice serves as a megaphone for the suffering of the entire Jewish community and sometimes engages in dialogue with the rest of humanity— both oppressors and bystanders. In this paper, I focus on the linguistic analysis of several works from Nelly Sachs’s early poetic corpus, employing a Critical Discourse Analysis (Van Leeuwen, 1996; Van Dijk, 2001). I used MAXQDA software for coding and analysis, conducting both qualitative and quantitative analyses of the categories of agency and transitivity according to the theory of Systemic Functional Grammar (Halliday 1967; Halliday & Matthiessen 1999, 2004), applied to the German language (cf. Uwe Helm Petersen 2012, 2013). My aim is to outline Sachs’s representation both of self and of the “Other”, to understand a possible evolution of it and of their mutual interactions. The identity of the poet is often expressed and fused in a collective “wir” to include with her the broader victimized Jewish community, as well as the “Other” represents the rest of humanity through the pronoun “ihr”.L’opera poetica di Nelly Sachs, Premio Nobel per la Letteratura nel 1966, è caratterizzata dal tentativo di esprimere a parole la traumatica esperienza di vittima e sopravvissuta del progetto genocidiario nazista nei confronti della minoranza ebraica; la voce della poetessa diventa megafono della narrazione dell’intero popolo martirizzato, ponendosi talvolta in dialogo con il resto dell’umanità, carnefici o astanti.
Accessibility goes digital: Exploring access before, during and after opera performances
This paper reflects on the tools, strategies and opportunities available for making opera performances accessible for people with sensory and intellectual disabilities today. After analyzing the changing face of accessibility and inclusion in ontological and legal, but also methodological and empirical terms, the focus shifts on a large-scale, inclusive project, used here as a case study to observe the opportunities and challenges offered by accessible live performances in today’s world, with an emphasis on the use of digital tools. A survey is also at the core of the article, with over 360 respondents and data collected by means of a structured questionnaire as well as spontaneous feedback. Focusing on metrics such as immersion, cognitive effort, and subjective wellbeing, the authors aim to show how accessibility to live opera shows leads to significant engagement and immersion. As is detailed in the article, a combination of live services and digital tools also effectively reduces cognitive load, allowing participants to engage with the performance without being overwhelmed by its complexities and resulting in increased wellbeing. All in all, this article aims to contribute to the growing debate on accessibility to media, arts and culture, emphasizing its pivotal role in fostering equity, inclusion, and meaningful participation for all audiences

The feasibility of integrating indigenous art into chinese higher art education
Global experience shows that the integration of indigenous art is not only an expansion of course content, but also an innovation of the educational paradigm - it requires breaking the shackles of Western-centrism and reconstructing the Chinese art education system with the goal of multicultural symbiosis. In this process, if China can balance the relationship between tradition and modernity, local and global, and combine indigenous art with the Chinese philosophy of "harmony between man and nature", it is expected to contribute a unique ecological aesthetic education program to the world and cultivate a new generation of artists with cultural awareness and global vision. Ultimately, the educational practice of indigenous art will go beyond the scope of cultural preservation and become a catalyst for promoting social inclusion, ecological sustainability and dialogue with human civilization
