Il Dominio dell’Informazione nell’Era della Cognitive War
The article explores the intersection between digital technology and conflict dynamics, highlighting how the digital age has transformed traditional warfare scenarios into a context dominated by cyber warfare and information manipulation. After an introductory definition of the problem, the impact of digital technology on global security is analysed, with a focus on the growing relevance of cognitive warfare. The analysis offers a reflection on defence and resilience strategies, emphasising the role of European regulations in mitigating risks and promoting a secure digital environment.
Tides of Time: The Dutch Delta Works as Time-Mediating Climate Adaptation Infrastructure
The relationship between infrastructure, climate change and time is a crucial but often misunderstood element of climate policy. This article argues that climate adaptation infrastructures mediate between different temporal regimes and can even be said to generate temporal regimes themselves. By examining the development of the Dutch Delta Works, a set of infrastructures initiated after the 1953 North Sea floods that killed more than 1,800 people, the article reconceptualizes the development from the response to the 1953 disaster to its current relationship with the consequences of climate change, in particular rising sea levels, river water inflows and weather fluctuations such as increased rainfall. By situating the development of the Delta Works in relation to Kairos, a period of transition and transformation, rather than Krisis as a response to an immediate disaster, the analysis presents a multifaceted perspective on the relationship between infrastructures, time and temporality. Developing the notion of infrastructural compromises to describe how infrastructures connect to and mediate between different temporal regimes, the analysis examines four episodes, each of which involves a different relationship to time and exemplifies different compromises between temporal regimes. As infrastructure development will be of paramount importance for the development and implementation of climate adaptation policies, it is crucial to arrive at a refined understanding of the relationship between infrastructure and time. A heterogeneous conception of time and temporality is needed to do justice to the mediating role of infrastructures in all these issues and the trade-offs that result from this interaction

Cinque assi per Una scuola green e outdoor
This contribution is inscribed in the wake of studies recognizing the importance of promoting educational and schooling experiences that generate ecological relationships with the world (Guerra, 2020; Mortari, 2020; Bian-chi et al., 2022) and enhancing the potential inherent in contexts beyond the traditional classroom (Humber-stone et al., 2015; Barnett & Jackson, 2019).Specifically, we intend to bear witness to a research project – PON “Ricerca e Innovazione” 2014-2020 Axis IV − rooted in a theoretical and methodological framework traceable in the Una scuola Manifesto (Antonacci & Guerra, 2018), aimed at promoting ecological reflections and practices in the encounter between the world of school and outdoor contexts. Within this framework, the research aims to outline roadmap for rethinking the school form as a pedagogical device of openness to the world (Massa, 2019), a space of life where the future unfolds as a desire capable of orienting and transforming the present (Bloch, 1954/2019; Antonacci, 2023).Il contributo si inscrive nel solco di studi che riconoscono l’importanza di promuovere esperienze educative e scolastiche volte a generare relazioni ecologiche con il mondo (Guerra, 2020; Mortari, 2020; Bianchi et al., 2022), unitamente alla valorizzazione delle potenzialità insite in tutti quei contesti che si collocano oltre l’aula scolastica tradizionalmente intesa (Humberstone et al., 2015; Barnett & Jackson, 2019).
Memoria, memorie, conflitti. Considerazioni pedagogiche sullo sfondo della “seconda Nakba”
The article explores the role of pedagogy in addressing contemporary conflicts, with a particular focus on the Israeli Palestinian conflict and the and the situation that emerged following Hamas's attack on October 7h, 2023, and the genocidal response in Gaza. Through a critical reflection on the paradoxes of our time - between fear and security, utopia, dystopia, and disillusionment – it questions pedagogy’s transformative potential in rethinking the relationship between subject, history, memory, human rights. Central to the discussion is the concept of memory, understood as an educational tool to connect past and future, with reference to memories of the Shoah and the Palestinian Nakba. The article highlights tensions between different historical and political narratives, analyzing the risks of ritualized memory and those of its instrumentalization. Finally, it underscores the need for critical and conscious education, capable of addressing contemporary fractures without succumbing to ideological polarization but instead fostering dialogue and building bridges between different identities and memories.L’articolo esplora il ruolo della pedagogia di fronte ai conflitti contemporanei, con particolare riferimento a quello israelo-palestinese e allo scenario aperto dall’attacco di Hamas del 7 ottobre 2023 e dalle operazioni di pulizia etnica a Gaza.
This article examines, through a comparison of Voz Operária, Opción, and Unidad y Lucha, the relationship that the Brazilian Communist Party, the Workers’ Socialist Party of Argentina, and the Socialist Party of Chile established with national universities within their opposition strategies to respective civil-military dictatorships (1964–1990). The universities, restructured by authoritarian regimes, were conceived as strategic spaces of contestation and key actors in democratic transition processes.
