HOW QUIET QUITTING UNDERMINES INNOVATION: MEDIATING EFFECTS OF KNOWLEDGE HOARDING AND PROCRASTINATION AMONG SALESPERSONS IN INDONESIA

The increasing competition in digital financial services challenges salespersons in traditional microfinance institutions (MFIs) to adopt innovative strategies for survival. This intense pressure has contributed to the growing trend of quiet quitting behavior among salespersons. This research aims to investigate the impact of quiet quitting on innovative work behavior (IWB), with knowledge hoarding and work procrastination as mediating variables. Data were collected through a survey of 557 MFI employees across five districts in Central Java, Indonesia. This study used Smart PLS 4 to examine the proposed hypotheses. The results demonstrate that quiet quitting negatively relates to salespersons’ innovative work behavior. Quiet quitting also has a positive effect on knowledge hoarding and work procrastination, both of which negatively impact innovative work behavior. In addition, based on the evaluation of indirect effects, this study reveals that the association between quiet quitting and innovative work behavior is mediated by knowledge hoarding and work procrastination. This research addresses an important gap in the literature by investigating the influence of quiet quitting on innovative work behavior. Although scholars have investigated both constructs independently, their direct empirical linkage remains insufficiently explored within previous studies. By incorporating knowledge hoarding and work procrastination as mediating variables, this study develops a more comprehensive model to understand the mechanisms through which quiet quitting impacts employees’ innovation. The findings also provide valuable insights for MFI managers to address quiet quitting and foster a more innovative sales workforce

ANALYSIS OF MARKET INTEGRATION AND PRICE TRANSMISSION OF RICE IN EAST KALIMANTAN

Market integration and transmission elasticity are indicators of achieving marketing efficiency. Marketing rice as a staple food commodity is important for economic purposes. The objective research was to identify trends in rice prices at the producer and the retailer, to determine market integration, and the elasticity of rice transmission. The research was conducted in East Kalimantan Province. This study used secondary data. The secondary data used are weekly series data of January-December 2023, from The National Strategic Food Price Information Center, Bank Indonesia. Data obtained by Bank Indonesia through The Daily Food Price Survey is a survey conducted by Bank Indonesia. Trends in rice price were analyzed using descriptive analysis, market integration was analyzed using Index Market Connection (IMC), and price transmission was analyzed using price elasticity transmission. The results showed that trends in retail rice prices faced price volatility at 4.62 percent and rice prices at the producer level faced price volatility at 5.37 percent. The rice market in East Kalimantan is not integrated in the short run, but integrated in the long run with IMC > 1 and the integrated coefficient is 1,0949. Transmission elasticity of rice prices in East Kalimantan was 0,7896. Rice prices have not been transmitted efficiently. The policy implication for the government is to improve market price information and rice stock management as a market intervention. Government collaboration with market players, especially rice distributors, can be an alternative to ensure the availability of rice in the region. To improve local food security, regulating planting time, and planting frequency, increasing farm productivity, and guaranteeing output prices is the focus of improving market mechanisms in the region

ORGANIZATIONAL READINESS FOR ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WITH SYSTEMATIC MAPPING STUDY IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTORS

Artificial Intelligence (AI) in organization is well-established in practice and has emerged as an exciting research area in recent years. However, no comprehensive review of the literature on organizational readiness for AI has been conducted. The aim of this paper is to map the current state of research of organizational readiness for AI. We conducted a systematic mapping study and found 32 relevant primary studies. Our findings are organised into two aspects. First, systematise and classify existing research in terms of number of papers published, year of publication, type of the research, country of origin, research methods, theories, and framework used. Second, to identify research gaps and propose a research agenda in the future. Most articles published after 2019 are dominated by exploratory, empirical and descriptive research and use qualitative and quantitative methods as an approach to conducting research. However, research on organizational readiness for AI is still often carried out in developed countries. The research contributes a thematic analysis of research variables, factor AI adoption, the results of AI implementation, theory and framework, research gaps in the literature, and an agenda for future research. More academic work needs to be done on organizational readiness for AI to improve conceptual clarity, theory building and development, understanding benefits and value for the business, understanding contextual factors, and critically exploring outcomes

DEVELOPMENT OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DESTINATIONS TO INCREASE TOURIST ATTRACTIVENESS FROM THE QUINTUPLE HELIX PERSPECTIVE IN SINJAI DISTRICT

This study aims to describe the development of sustainable tourism destinations in Sinjai Regency and analyze the roles of actors within the Quintuple Helix framework. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach, data is collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, which are then analyzed interactively. The results indicate that implementing the Quintuple Helix concept positively impacts tourist attraction, as the synergy among government, academics, business actors, civil society, and the environment strengthens the tourism ecosystem. Innovation in facilities, including accommodation and accessibility, is crucial for enhancing tourist appeal. However, challenges related to infrastructure and competition with privately managed attractions must be addressed to achieve optimal development. Effective management of tourist sites is essential for supporting local businesses. Tourism development has the potential to improve community welfare through economic growth, relying on cooperation among stakeholders, capacity building, and sustainable resource management. Increased training for business actors and responsive policies from the Tourism and Culture Office are necessary. By involving all elements of the Quintuple Helix approach and adhering to sustainability principles, Sinjai Regency can become an attractive tourist destination that enhances community welfare while supporting cultural and environmental preservation. Future research should analyze the influence of sustainable tourism on the economic, social, and environmental aspects of the local community to provide recommendations for formulating more effective sustainable development policies and programs

MEASURING THE PRODUCTIVITY OF ISLAMIC BANKS' PERFORMANCE WITH STOCHASTIC FRONTIER MEASURES: EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE IN INDONESIA

This research investigates the effect of non-financial objectives on Islamic bank efficiency. The sample data are taken from Islamic banks in Indonesia, spanning 2008-2020. By using the parametric approach, the Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) method is employed to estimate the maximum likelihood and profit efficiency level. The model used in this research is called the BC’95 model in translog form. The input-output variables in this research are chosen based on the intermediation approach. The results show that publicity and zakat have positive and significant effects on the efficiency level of Islamic banks in Indonesia. On the contrary, the qardhul hasan has a negative but significant effect. In this case, zakat has the strongest sensitivity toward the dependent variable. Overall, the efficiency trend is in line with national and global macroeconomic conditions, and it strengthens the existence of non-financial objectives in the Islamic bank's efficiency measurement model. It is hoped that this research can be a gateway for regulators, practitioners, and academics to continue to explore and encourage strengthening the manifestation of Islamic values in Islamic bank operational practices.

THE SOUTH CHINA SEA GEOPOLITICAL DYNAMICS AND INDONESIA'S MARITIME SECURITY: A POLITICAL DEFENSE ANALYSIS

This study aims to analyze the geopolitical dynamics in the South China Sea (SCS) region in relation to Indonesia's maritime security, viewed from the perspective of defense politics. The geopolitical dynamics in the SCS region are driven by China's claims through its Nine-Dash Line (NDL). China, as described by Cohen's Four Pillars (2015) as a country with extraordinary military power, has factually been willing to use it to legitimize and defend its claims. The surplus of economic power, besides being spent on modernizing its defense forces, is then utilized in the form of investment through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) policy. These two pillars have become China's strength to dominate the SCS region. This study concludes that Indonesia needs to develop a defense political strategy as a soft power to face the major challenges of geopolitical dynamics in the SCS region. This defense politics can optimize ASEAN as first-track diplomacy and other activities as second-track diplomacy
