Study of a categorification of period integrals and Frobenius structures on the spaces of stability conditions
Get PDF安定性条件の空間とは、超弦理論に現れるD-ブレーンの安定性を決定するためのパラメーター(中心電荷)の空間であり、数学者のBridgelandにより導入された。一方、周期積分とは、図形の中にある穴の長さや角度を積分により測ったものである。本研究では、この一見異なる「中心電荷」と「周期積分」の間に、考える図形を曲面とした場合を考えて対応関係を見出すことに成功した。また、この対応関係が、考えている曲面に懸垂と呼ばれる操作を実行してより高い次元の図形を構成した場合に、どのように拡張されるかを明らかにした。The space of stability conditions, introduced by Bridgeland, is the space of parameters (called the central charges) which characterize the stability conditions of D-branes in string theory. On the other hand, the period integral measures lengths and angles of holes in a geometric object. In this research, we investigate the correspondence between central charges and period integrals when the geometric objects are surfaces. Validation of the Emotion Measurement using a Touch Panel Device
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to validate the ability of the digital device as a self-assessment tool for pleasant and unpleasant emotional experiences. We examined the relationship of subjective ratings of the pictures by using a portable touch panel with a slider, with physiological responses (i.e., heart rate: HR). The results indicated that the touch panel ratings for unpleasant pictures changed simultaneously with the HR, while those for pleasant pictures indicated delayed responses to the HR. The findings of this study implicated the usefulness of the touch panel device to investigate emotional experiences on various situations outside the laboratory
Curcumae Longae Rhizoma and Saussureae Radix Inhibit Nitric Oxide Production and Cannabinoid Receptor 2 Down-regulation
Get PDFBackground/Aim: The cannabinoid 2 (CB2) receptor is an important regulator of immunoinflammatory responses. Crude drugs commonly used in Japanese traditional Kampo medicine have displayed anti-inflammatory effects; however, few studies have reported that these effects are mediated via CB2 receptor signaling. Therefore, this study aimed to elucidate CB2 receptor-related anti-inflammatory regulation in crude drugs. Materials and Methods: The ethanol extracts of 34 crude drugs listed in the Japanese Pharmacopeia were tested, and the inhibitory effects on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nitric oxide (NO) production were evaluated in murine macrophage RAW 264 cells. Results: The extracts of Curcumae Longae Rhizoma (dried rhizome of Curcuma longa) and Saussureae Radix (dried root of Saussurea lappa) significantly inhibited NO production and attenuated the LPS-induced decrease in CB2 receptor mRNA expression.Conclusion: Curcumae Longae Rhizoma and Saussureae Radix can modulate the CB2-receptor-related anti-inflammatory regulation in macrophages.This article is freely accessible online

Get PDF本研究では、ルソーとコンディヤックを中心に18世紀における「事実」概念の位相を検討した。経験論哲学から科学的実証主義へと素朴に進歩したという思想史観を再検討することが目的であったが、本研究を通じて、現代的なポスト・トゥルース的状況が18世紀においても確認できることが判明した。とりわけ、それは宗教的かつ文学的問題においてみられた。This study examined the concept of "fact" in the 18th century, focusing on Rousseau and Condillac. The purpose of this study was to reexamine the historical view of the history of ideas as a naive progression from empiricist philosophy to scientific positivism, but it turned out that the contemporary post-truth situation can be confirmed in the 18th century.
