Preparation, Characterization, and In Vitro Evaluation of Inclusion Complexes Formed between S-Allylcysteine and Cyclodextrins
Get PDFThe present study prepared inclusion complexes of S-allylcysteine (SAC) and cyclodextrin (α, β, γ) by the freeze-drying (FD) method and verified the inclusion behavior of the solid dispersion. Also, the study investigated the effect of SAC/CD complex formation on liver tumor cells. Isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) measurements confirmed the exothermic titration curve for SAC/αCD, suggesting a molar ratio of SAC/αCD = 1/1, but no exothermic/endothermic reaction was obtained for the SAC/βCD and SAC/γCD system. Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) results showed that the characteristic diffraction peaks of SAC and CDs disappeared in FD (SAC/αCD) and FD (SAC/γCD), indicated by a halo pattern. On the other hand, diffraction peaks originating from SAC and βCDs were observed in FD (SAC/βCD). Near-infrared (NIR) absorption spectroscopy results showed that CH and OH groups derived from SAC and OH groups derived from αCD and γCD cavity were shifted, suggesting complex formation due to intermolecular interactions occurring in SAC/αCD and SAC/γCD. Stability test results showed that the stability was maintained with FD (SAC/αCD) over FD (SAC/βCD) and FD (SAC/γCD). In 1H–1H of NOESY NMR measurement, FD (SAC/αCD) was confirmed to have a cross peak at the CH group of the alkene of SAC and the proton (H-3, -5, -6) in the αCD cavity. In FD (SAC/γCD), a cross peak was confirmed at the alkyl group on the carbonyl group side of SAC and the proton (H-3) in the cavity of γCD. From the above, it was suggested that the inclusion mode of SAC is different on FD (SAC/CDs). The results of the hepatocyte proliferation inhibition test using HepG2 cells showed that FD (SAC/βCD) inhibited cell proliferation. On the other hand, FD (SAC/αCD) and FD (SAC/γCD) did not show a significant decrease in the number of viable cells. These results suggest that the difference in the inclusion mode may contribute to the stability and cell proliferation inhibition

Health Status and Care System of the Elderly in India

Changes in the population structure that occurred during the demographic transition have resulted in a decline in infant mortality and fertility. The ratio of younger population decreases, and in contrast the proportion of the elderly population is increasing. The problems of ageing in India are its large population size and the rapid aging of the population, and these need to respond to new challenges in addition to the remaining challenges. On the change of the disease structure with epidemiological transition, measures to infectious diseases and non-infectious diseases are required. While infectious and acute diseases are decreasing, chronic and degenerative diseases are emerging as new diseases, but measures against infectious diseases and parasitic diseases remain a public health system challenge. Public medical institutions can receive medical examinations free of charge, except for medicines and tests. but the supply of public medical institutions is limited, and doctors and facilities are insufficient. In addition, differences in medical care support by local communities are affecting the acceptance of medical services. Although the health insurance system reduces the burden of medical expenses, the social stratification level in which the insurance system can be used is limited, and it has not reached the national insurance. Subsidies are provided for people below the poverty line, and insurance for employers or private insurance that the wealthy can join is provided. However, coverage for the population of lower income class remains excluded from insurance. It is necessary to expand the support system from the population below the poverty line to the lower income class that is currently not eligible for support.論文 / Treatise

Get PDFプログラミング言語“Python”は，統計的機械学習に関するパッケージが充実しており，大量のデータを必要とするWeb アプリケーションの開発や統計処理など，様々な分野で用いられている。そこで本報告書では，城西大学理学部数学科が主催している「高校生向け情報数理体験講座2021」において扱った，統計的機械学習を利用した音源分離ライブラリ“spleeter”に関する講演内容を紹介する。Google Colaboratory を使用することで，Google アカウントに紐づいた個々の実行環境での操作が可能となり，ソースファイルや音声ファイルの共有が容易である。体験講座の参加者のアンケート結果も報告する。報告 / Report
Development of Web-based Chatbot– Chatbot for Josai University Faculty of Management –
Get PDFAI（人工知能）は近年及び将来の経営に欠かすことができず，AI を利用できない企業は淘汰される可能性がある。城西大学経営学部杉本ゼミナールでは「AI を使う側に回ろう」をテーマに，AI で何ができるのかを理解し，生産性の向上や競争力の強化につなげる演習を行っている。演習の一つに IBM の AI である Watson の機能である，Watson Assistant を利用して，チャットボットの作成を行っている。本研究は第一著者（貢献度 40％）と第二著者（貢献度 40％）が均等に貢献し，卒業研究として受験生が経営学部に関する疑問・質問に答えるチャットボットを作成したものである。主に①経営学部事務室（入試課）の負担軽減，②受験生の城西大学に対する好感度の向上，③受験生と城西大学をつなぐ接点の増加，④受験生の要望に合わせた大学ホームページの案内が可能，⑤ 在学生が作成することにより経営学部でどのようなことができるのかの実例を見せられる，などのメリットが期待できる。研究ノート / Research Note

Get PDF2020 年度は新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大に伴い，前期授業はゴールデンウィーク明けまで開始が延長され最終的にオンライン授業として開講された。後期も一部の科目で対面授業が実施されたものの，大部分はオンライン授業が続けられた。年度末に学生アンケートを実施し，オンライン授業に対する学生の感想や意見等を尋ねたので，今後のための記録を兼ねて集計結果概要を報告する。報告 / Report
