Diol or Hydrogen Peroxide-responsive Micellar Systems and Their Rheological Properties
Get PDFExternal stimuli-responsive worm-like micelles (WLMs) have the potential for a wide range of applications. In particular, sugar (a polyol compound)-responsive WLMs have the potential for use in smartdrug release systems. Phenylboronic acid (PBA) functions as a cis-diol sensor in a similar manner it does as a glucose sensor. Thus, WLMs, primarily composed of surfactants and PBA, are expected to function as cis-diol-responsive viscoelastic systems. PBA also reacts irreversibly with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2 ) and is converted into phenol and boric acid. H2O2 is one of reactive oxygen species crucial for several physiological processes. Therefore, H2O2 -responsive WLMs have the potential for various applications. In this review, we describe cis-diol- and H2O2 -responsive micellar systems composed of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and PBA moieties that shift their viscosities in response to stimuli.This is the article by the winner of the WCOS 2022 Excellent Presentation Award, The Japan Oil Chemists’ Society (JOCS). Construction of metal complex assemblies using DNA-template and the application for functional films
Get PDF本研究では、チミン(T)を導入したサレン型白金(II)錯体や亜鉛(II)錯体の合成を行い、アデニン(A)オリゴマーと複合化させ、A-T相互作用により錯体分子を配列させることに成功した。アデニン5分子からなるオリゴマー（A-5mer）では、構造安定性が低く、集積化できなかった。一方で、A-10merやA-15merでは、錯体分子数に応じた吸収スペクトル変化を示したため、定量的に配列していることが示唆された。すなわち、核酸塩基導入により、分子数を正確に制御した錯体分子集積化に成功した。今後は、資質との複合化により複合薄膜の作成へと展開していく。In this study, we synthesized salen-type platinum(II) and zinc(II) complexes with thymine(T) substituent, and hybridized them with adenine(A) oligomers. We successfully arranged the complex molecules by A-T interaction. Oligomers consisting of five adenine molecules (A-5mer) had low structural stability and could not be formed the interactions. On the other hand, A-10mer and A-15mer showed absorption spectral changes depending on the number of complex molecules, suggesting that they were quantitatively aligned through A-T interactions. In other words, the nucleobase incorporation succeeded in the accumulation of metal complex molecules with a precisely controlled number of molecules. Synthesis of 2,8-Dioxabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane Derivatives and their Neuroprotective Activities
Get PDFTwenty natural-product-like 2,8-dioxabicyclo[3.3.1]nonane derivatives were synthesized and their neuroprotective activities were tested using human monoamine oxidases (MAO) A and B and acetyl and butyryl cholinesterases (ChE). Compound 1s showed inhibitory activity for MAO-A, MAO-B and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) (IC50 values 34.0, 2.3 and 11.0 µM, respectively). The inhibition mode of (−)-1s for MAO-B was investigated. Chiral HPLC of (±)-1s separated the enantiomers and (−)-1s showed MAO-B inhibitory activity. Molecular docking simulation of (−)-1s and MAO-B revealed the binding mode.出版社版は著者名に誤りがあるため著者版を登
