Variables consisted of relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability used to explore the perception of rural people toward Branchless Banking. Questionnaires were distributed to people in Kuncen village, Salatiga Indonesia. We found that relative advantage and complexity are factors that drive Kuncen village people to adopt Branchless Banking. Thus, compatibility, trialability, and observability are the inhibitors for Branchless Banking adoption. Keywords: Branchless Banking, mobile payment systems, technology adoption, financial inclusio
The Analysis of Portfolio Risk Management using VAR Approach Based on Investor Risk Preference
Ackert and Deaves (2010) said that most people have tendency to being risk averse, but with appropriate amount of compensation, people may take more risk. Understanding those circumstances, this research trying to figure risk involved in a Mean-Variance Model. This model has taken consideration about investor risk preference in composed VAR model. VAR define as a measure of the risk of investments, which in this research focuses on risk preferences. This research also conducts comparison between optimum portfolio model known as Single Index Model and Mean-Variance Mode. Robustness test taken too analyze the outcomes from different data input. Research showed that risk preference has an impact on generating portfolio based on Mean-Variance Mode (MVM). Meanwhile, Single Index Model (SIM) found to given a similar result as MVM in high risk preference. This has shown that SIM may not adequate for those who have low risk preference. Research also show that risk taker investor get more gain and endure more risk than risk averse investor. But, based on robustness test, we found that the lowest risk an investor bear is on the highest risk preference. Thus, we make a conclusion that variance is not the only factor that might cause VaR increased, data dispersion has became more major factor. Keywords: Value at risk, Single Index Model, Optimum Portfolio

The study is conducted with the involvement of consumers who have seen a particular brand advertising of Drinking Water in Yogyakarta. 166 respondents are selected using convenience sampling technique. While the data obtained through the questionnaire are analyzed by using a structural equation modelling (SEM) and the data processing program AMOS 20.0, after going through two stages of testing the validity and reliability. The results show that advertising environment is positive and gives significant contribution to the AIDA in the case of television advertising. While the influence of the greatest predictive total advertising environment happens to consumer desire to buy. This is in line with Barnea et al. (1976), Mones (1987), Ilmainir (1993), Hapworth (1953) in Ashari et al. (1994), Arhibald (1967) in Ashari et al. (1994), Ashari et al. APAKAH OPEC MERUPAKAN KARTEL?: PENDEKATAN KAUSALITAS GRANGER DALAM KERANGKA VECTOR AUTOREGRESSIVE
One would believe that The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is certainly a cartel which curbs production in order to raise the price of its product as well as to share the market among its members. Did energy shock of the 1970’s engineered by an effective cartel of OPEC members acting to share the market by controlling output and influencing market prices? One would also expect OPEC's production to significantly affect the market price of oil as the organization is often accused of curbing production in order to raise prices. This paper tries to determine whether OPEC has the power of affecting the market price of oil and or vice versa. This study uses the Toda and Yamamoto (1995) procedure for testing for Granger non-causality in Vector Autoregressive (VAR) models that involves variables that are integrated of an arbitrary order and that are possibly cointegrated. The results indicate that there is no statistically significant causal relationship between real crude oil price and OPEC production in either direction for full sample period 1974 – 2005. Instead, we find that real crude oil price Granger cause OPEC production in 2 different sub samples period, but not in other direction. As overall we reject cartel hypothesis for OPEC as a whole. Keywords: OPEC, Granger Causality Test, VAR, Toda and Yamamot
IMPLEMENTASI DECISION TREE BERBASIS ANALISIS TEKNIKAL UNTUK PEMBELIAN DAN PENJUALAN SAHAM
The aim of this research is to develop decision support system using data mining decision tree method that is built base on technical analysis of financial market (EMA, MACD, OBV, RSI, and parabolic SAR). Those indicators are arranged as a trading rule that wi l l help in buying and selling decision. The data used in this research are historical stock price in Jakarta Stock Exchange The result of this research indicates that generally the system can give number of transactions result in capital gains higher than number of transactions result in capital loss. The system also has capability to make decision with average gains are higher than decision with average losses. Investigation to profitability, geometric mean, cumulative wealth index, and sensitivity test to moving average gives the description whether stock can be traded based on technical analysis or not. This system can make easier in making decision for the users/investors that do not have enough knowledge and experiences in financial market. Keywords: decision support system, data mining, decision tree, trading rules, technical analysis
