Problems Concerning the Japanese Translation of the Subtitle of Tchaikovsky's Sixth Symphony
Full text linkapplication/pdfロシアの作曲家ピョートル・チャイコーフスキイ（1840～93）の遺作となった交響曲第6 番には作曲家本人の手によって“Патетическая [Pateticheskaja]” という標題が付けられている。いわゆるチャイコーフスキイの「悲愴」である。実はこの邦訳は誤りであり、ロシアのチャイコーフスキイ学者たちからも以前より訂正を求められている。しかし日本の自称「チャイコーフスキイ研究家」たちは「これはチャイコーフスキイがフランス語で書いたのだからこの訳は正しい」と主張して譲らない。ところが、実際にはフランス語とロシア語には意味の違いはなく、共に「パトスに満ちた」「感動的な」という意味で、しかもチャイコーフスキイは総譜の表紙にはロシア語で標題を書き込んでいたのである。
本稿は、クラシック音楽の重要作品の邦訳に関して、誤解が生じた経緯と背景を検証すると共に、音楽研究への取り組み方そのものについて考察する試論である。なお、本来「論文」とすべき内容を目指していたが、日本初演データの確定が未だ解決しておらず、今回は「研究ノート」としたことを、最初にお断りしておく。研究ノートdepartmental bulletin pape
Importance of Understanding Children as "Parties in Learning" in "Gakko-Zukuri" : Based on "Gakko-Zukuri" at Wako Elementary School and Wako Tsurukawa Elementary School
Full text linkapplication/pdf本稿は、和光学園の2つの小学校─和光小学校、和光鶴川小学校の学校づくりを対象として、子どもを学びの当事者として位置づける学校づくりとは何か、その構造と要素の確認・検討を行うことを目的としている。両小学校の学校づくりにおいては、「学びの当事者は子ども」という観点が教育課程に記載されており、かつ、実際の教育活動でもその観点が重視されていた。そして、教育課程及びその教育課程に基づく教職員の教育研究活動や保護者との学び合いの機会によって、教職員・保護者が「学びの当事者としての子ども」という子ども把握とそのための実践の在り様を学び続けるという循環が生まれていた。さらに、教職員・保護者がともに教育について学ぶ機会が保障されることによって、「学びの当事者としての子ども」という子ども把握に基づいた子ども理解の視点が育まれ、教職員・保護者自身も学校づくりの当事者として位置づけられていたことを確認した。研究ノートdepartmental bulletin pape
Peculiarities of Media in Greek Mythology
Full text linkapplication/pdfThe beginning of this inquiry is on Medea and Jason, the two antagonists of the Argonautica,an epic by Apollonius of Rhodes. Medea is an exceptional heroine of Greek tragedy. In Euripides’tragedy Medea, she kills several people including her brother and two children but she herself does not die and rather acquires eternal life and lives in the Elysium. Jason is often accusedby classists of his un-heroic behaviors. Considering these enigmatic characterizations of the pair Medea and Jason, the best way to solve this enigma seems to be to introduce another pair, of the immortal heroine and un-heroic lover of the Trojan War for comparison: Helene and Paris. In this paper, through the comparison of the two couples, Medea/Jason and Helene/Paris, several observations on their origin will be given.departmental bulletin pape
