THE IMPACT OF FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT ON ECONOMIC GROWTH (A CAUSAL STUDY IN THE UNITED STATES)
International investment is strategic step for country due to lack of capital and technology transfer and it is generally well known as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Many policy makers and academics contend that FDI can have important positive effects on a host country’s development effort. This research examines the impact of Foreign Direct Investment on Economic Growth in the United States by multiple linear regression model and its estimation using ordinary least squares (OLS). This research classifies all the sectors to be 10 sectors. This research uses data for the period 2000 –2017 and suggests that not all forms of foreign investment seem to be beneficial to host economies. Some sectors provide positive correlation to economic growth and some provides negative effect. Nevertheless, it is significant yet, this is because there is different characteristic between developed and developing countries. Economic growth in the U.S is mostly driven by personal consumption
PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI) DENGANMIND MAPPING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR EKONOMI SISWA SMA NEGERI 5 SURAKARTA TAHUN AJARAN 2014/2015
The objective of this research is to investigate the improvement of the learning achievement in Economics subject matter of the students in Grade X IIS 1 of State Senior Secondary School 5 Surakarta in Academic Year 2014/2015 through the implementation of Group Investigation and Mind Mapping learning models. This research used the classroom action research and was conducted in collaboration among the Economics subject matter teacher and students of the school and the researcher. The result of research shows that the implementation of the Group Investigation and Mind Mapping learning models could improve the students’ learning achievement in Economics subject matter and learning completeness percentage. The students’ average score improved as much as 6.78 in Cycle I and 5.36 in Cycle II respectively; prior to the treatment, it was 72.45, and following the treatment, it became 79.23 in Cycle I and 84.59 in Cycle II respectively. In addition, the students’ learning completeness percentage improved as much as 16.31% in Cycle I and 19.36% in Cycle II; prior to the treatment it was 50.06%, and following the treatment, it became 74.19% in Cycle I and 93.55% in Cycle II respectively
COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE MEASUREMENT IN ASEAN’S TEN LEADING EXPORT COMMODITIES: A CASE STUDY OF ASEAN-5
This paper analyzed ASEAN-5’s comparative advantage of their best ten products using “products mapping” as now we faced ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Its a need to know which commodities are those countries in comparative advantage and as a net exporter. Using data retrieved from UN COMTRADE accessed from INTRACEN website, we used information of best ten ASEAN’s leading export commodities which was under 2 digits HS classsification. For analysis in this paper, we derived those products into 4 digits HS classification, so then we were not only use 10 commodities but 320 commodities. Comparative advantage measurement that we used were Revealed Symmetric Comparative Advantage (RSCA), as for know if the countries were net-importer or net-exporter we used Trade Balance Index (TBI). Lastly, we combined those two indexes of comparative advantage to draw each country’s products mapping. From the analysis, we got the result that, Indonesia’s exported commodities (net-exporter) and comparative advantage mostly are from animal or vegetable fats and oil, Malaysia’s mostly are from rubber and articles thereof, Singapore and Thailand’s mostly from organic chemicals, and Philipines’s mostly from electrical and electrical equipment
PENERAPAN METODE ROLE PLAYING PADA MATA PELAJARAN MENGOPERASIKAN PERALATAN TRANSAKSI DI LOKASI PENJUALAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XI PEMASARAN 3 SMK NEGERI 1 SUKOHARJO TAHUN AJARAN 2015/2016
The aims of this research is to increase the learning outcomes of transaction operating tools lesson on sale location of XI Marketing-3 Grade SMKN 1 Sukoharjo through the applying of the Role Playing method.This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles, wich consist planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research was XI Marketing-3 Grade of SMKN 1 Sukoharjo which consists 36 students. The source of data was from the students, the teachers, and the documents. Technique of collecting data was observation, test, documentation and interviews. Techniques for the validity of the data using triangulation of data sources. The data analysis used descriptive analysis techniques, qualitative analysis techniques and comparative description.The results of the research showed that applying the method of Role Playing can increase the learning outcomes of transaction operating tools on sale location of XI Marketing-3 Grade of SMKN 1 Sukoharjo in Academic Year 2015/2016. It was proved there is increasing in cycle I and cycle II. Before applying the method of Role Playing the average score of the classroom was 70 with precentage of success 36.11%. In the cycle I the average score increased to 80.75 with precentage of success 77.78% and in the cycle II the average score of the classroom increased to 87.25 with precentage of success 88.89%. The conclusion of this research was applying the method of Role Playing can increase the student's learning outcomes of transaction operating tools on sale location of XI Marketing-3 Grade SMKN 1 Sukoharjo
Pengaruh Pendidikan Konsumen dan Tingkat Pendapatan Orang Tua Terhadap Perilaku Konsumsi Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP UNS
The aims of this research are (1) to know a significant difference in student consumption behavior based on consumer education; (2) to know a significant difference in student consumption behavior based on parent's income level; (3) to know significant differences in student consumption behavior based on consumer education and income level of parents.The population in this research are students of Economic Education class of 2014-2017 which amounted 276 students. Sampling technique used in this research was proportional random sampling, so that there are 74 students selected to be samples. This research used quantitative method with comparative research. Data collected by questionnaire for consumer education and consumption behavior, while for income level data of parents collected by documentation. Analysis data technique used was two way anova.The results of this research are: (1) there is a significant differences in student consumption behavior based on consumer education. This is indicated by the value of F count 3.874> F Table with (p <0.05). (2), there is a significant difference in student consumption behavior based on the income level of the parents. This is indicated by the value of F count 5,315> F Table with (p <0.05). (3), there is a significant difference in student consumption behavior based on consumer education and income levels of parents. This is indicated by the value of F count 3.247> F Table with (p <0.05)
DEVELOPING WEB-BASED TUTORIAL VIDEO LEARNING MEDIA TO IMPROVE STUDENTS ONLINE MARKETING LEARNING OUTCOME AT SMK NEGERI SUKOHARJO
The aim of this research is to develop learning media using Online Marketing Video Learning Information System technology which can be accessed online, and improve the learning outcomes in Online Marketing learning at Vocational High School in Sukoharjo. The method used in this research is Research and Development methods that apply the media to students in grade X of Marketing Vocational High School, Sukoharjo especially in online marketing program. The research was examined by procedure steps of preliminary research, development and testing steps. The steps of video development cover collecting material, making storyboard, surveying, producing media, and applying media. The information system development steps involve Communication, Planning, Modelling, Construction and Deployment. Data analysis techniques applied in this research is a simple descriptive analysis. The research compares between the Pre test and Post test result to find out the result of study. This research was expected to increase the result of study in Online Marketings learning
UPAYA PENINGKATAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN THINK PAIR SHARE (TPS) BERBANTUAN MEDIA POWER POINT PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENGANTAR EKONOMI DAN BISNIS SISWA SMK NEGERI I BANYUDONO TAHUN AJARAN 2015/2016
The objective of research is to improve the learning activeness and learning outcomes in the subject matter of Introduction to Economics and Business of the students in Grade X of Marketing Department of State Vocational High School 1 of Banyudono in Academic Year 2015/2016 through the application of think pair share teaching combined with power point media. This study used the classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases i.e. planning, implementation, observation, and analysis & reflection. Its subjects were 29 students of the aforementioned school. The data of research were collected through (a) in-depth interview, (b) observation, (c) documentation, and (d) test. The application of the think pair share teaching combined with power point media can improve the learning activeness and learning outcomes in the Introduction to Economics and Business subject matter from Pre-cycle to Cycle I and from Cycle I to Cycle II. The percentage of the students’ learning activeness in visual activities is 13.79% in Pre-cycle, and it becomes 27.59% in Cycle I and 75.86% in Cycle II respectively; the percentage of the students’ learning activeness in oral activities is 0.00% in Pre-cycle, and it becomes 30.79% in Cycle I and 75,86% in Cycle II respectively; the percentage of the students’ learning activeness in writing activities is 0.00% in Pre-cycle, and it becomes 58.62% in Cycle I and 82.76% in Cycle II respectively; the percentage of the students’ learning activeness in mental activities is 0.00% in Pre-cycle, and it becomes 30.90% in Cycle I and 62.07% in Cycle II respectively; the percentage of the students’ learning activeness in emotional activities is 31.00% in Pre-cycle, and it becomes 44.69% in Cycle I and 72.41% in Cycle II respectively. Furthermore, the students’ average score is 73.96 in Pre-cycle, and it becomes 80.73 in Cycle I and 85.28 in Cycle II respectively. Finally, the percentage of the students’ learning completeness is 48.28% in Pre-cycle, and it becomes 65.52% in Cycle I and 86.21% in Cycle II
Analisis Faktor Bauran Pemasaran Terhadap Keputusan Pembelian Jamur Tiram Jati Nikmat Di Kota Semarang
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji proses pengambilan keputusan konsumen dalam membeli produk Jamur Tiram Jati Nikmat dan menganalisis faktor bauran pemasaran (produk, harga, tempat, dan promosi) yang paling dipertimbangkan konsumen dalam keputusan pembelian produk Jamur Tiram Jati Nikmat di Kota Semarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survei. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara purposive sampling yang berlokasi di Swalayan Gelael dan Superindo di kota Semarang. Pengambilan responden penelitian dilakukan secara accidental sampling. Jumlah sampel yang diambil adalah adalah 100 orang. Analisis data menggunakan analisis trend dan analisis faktor. Analisis trend digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil penjualan dimasa yang akan datang. Analisis faktor digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor dominan dalam menjelaskan keputusan pembelian. Analisis faktor di uji secara statistik dengan menggunakan uji KMO (Kaiser Meyer Olkin), Measure of Sampling Adequacy and Bartlett’s Test. Hasil penelitian analisis trend menunjukkan bahwa swalayan Gelael memiliki persamaan Y= 365+ 5(X), swalayan Superindo Ngesrep memiliki persamaan Y= 391 + 11,5(X), swalayan Superindo Candi memiliki persamaan Y= 371 + 1(X), swalayan Superindo Majapahit memiliki persamaan Y= 459 + 11(X). Hasil analisis faktor menunjukkan bahwa ada 4 faktor yang menjadi pertimbangan dalam keputusan pembelian produk Jamur Tiram Jati Nikmat. Faktor I (33,646%), faktor II (15,451%.), faktor III (10,641%), dan faktor IV (8,665%. Variabel yang dipertimbangkan konsumen adalah pembelian produk Jamur Tiram Jati Nikmat, faktor I adalah warna jamur (0,864), faktor II adalah kenyamanan (0,850), faktor III adalah mekanisme pembayaran (0,753), dan faktor IV adalah ketersediaan jamur (0,764)
IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER YANG TERINTEGRASI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN EKONOMI DI SMA NEGERI 2 MAGELANG
The research aims to describe of planning, implementation, and evaluation problems that facting by the economic teachers on the implementation of integrated character education in economics learning at the SMA Negeri 2 Magelang. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach.Sampling technique used were purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and analysis of data validity test document with data analysis techniques interactive analysis Miles & Huberman. Based on the research obtained conclusions that, planning by drafting character from of lesson, implementation is done by habituation, exemplary, and intervention of character values are internalized to the economics learning, cultivation of character values in the economics learning through the affective aspects evaluated in observation sheet with indicators of honest attitude, discipline, responsibility, caring, and hard work, constraints faced by economic teachers that teachers still find it difficult to incorporate the values of the characters according to instructional materials, conditions and interests of learners that are still lacking, teachers are still difficulties in using learning model matching the economy's material, and teachers are still difficulties in assessing the student's character
PENERAPAN METODE COURSE REVIEW HORAY BERBANTU MEDIA PREZI DALAM MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR KOGNITIF PELAYANAN PRIMA SISWA KELAS X PEMASARAN SMK BATIK 1 SURAKARTA TAHUN AJARAN 2015/2016
This research aims to improve the learning results of excellent service in Student of Class X PM SMK Batik 1 Surakarta. Trough the application of Course Review Horay method By Using Prezi Media expected can improve learning result.The research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two cycles, with each cycled planning, implementation measures, observation and reflection. The subjects were students of class X Marketing of SMK Batik 1 Surakarta totaling 34 students. Source of data derived from students, teachers, and documents. The technique of data collection is by observation, tests, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis techniques used is descriptive analysis techniques, qualitative analysis techniques and comparative description. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded the application of Course Review Horay By Using Prezi Media can improve learning results Excellent Service grade X Marketing of SMK Batik 1 Surakarta. The increase occurred in the cycle I and cycle II. This is supported by research data that shows an increase in the assessment on the third realm of cognitive learning outcomes. Before application of Course Review Horay By Using Prezi Media grade average score is 74 with the percentage of completeness 41%. In the first cycle class average value increased to 80,35 with the percentage of completeness 76,47% and the second 80,59 cycle class average value increased to 80,35 with the percentage of completeness 85,29%
