Virtual screening of bioactive compounds from the lamiaceae family as acetylcholinesterase inhibitors for alzheimer’s disease
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurological disorder that can impact adults aged 65 and beyond. A primary factor contributing to Alzheimer’s is the diminished availability of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in the brain. Plants from the Lamiaceae family have been believed to possess potential as acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (AChEI) that can alleviate the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. This study aims to find possible bioactive compounds from plants of the Lamiaceae family, specifically Salvia officinalis L., Salvia lavandulifolia Vahl., Rosmarinus officinalis L., Collinsonia canadensis L., and Melissa officinalis L., as acetylcholinesterase inhibitors using in silico approaches. Active compounds from the Lamiaceae family were evaluated based on physicochemical properties, toxicity, Gibbs free energy (∆G), inhibition constant (Ki), absorption, excretion, metabolism, distribution, and molecular dynamics. From a total of 1,370 compounds derived from Lamiaceae plants, the compound 3,5,5-Trimethyl-4-[3-[3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl) oxan-2]-yl]oxybut-1-enyl] cyclohex-2-en-1-one (TOC) from Salvia officinalis L. exhibited potential as an AChEI, possessing a molecular weight of 370 Daltons, 4 hydrogen donors, 7 hydrogen acceptors, a Log P partition coefficient of 3.46, a molar refractivity of 100, a Gibbs free energy change (∆G) of -11.2 kcal/mol, an inhibition constant (Ki) of 0.981 μM, and a total energy calculated via Molecular Mechanics Generalized Born Surface Area of 31.381 kcal/mol. In silico, the TOC ligand inhibits acetylcholinesterase to treat Alzheimer's

Fine-tuning GloVe Embedding with Contextual Information for Synthetic Batik Pattern Generation
Batik is an Indonesian cultural heritage that is rich in philosophical and symbolic meanings. To support preservation and innovation, this research examines the use of Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN) in generating synthetic batik patterns based on natural language description. The main challenge lies in the interpretation of semantically complex cultural texts. This research proposes a fine-tuning approach of the GloVe word insertion model with a batik domain-specific corpus. The dataset consists of 3,100 batik images of Parang and Kawung motifs, each accompanied by 10 textual descriptions. Two approaches were evaluated: GloVe generalized pre-training and GloVe enhanced. The GAN architecture combines multimodal input and up sampling techniques to generate images from text. Intrinsic evaluation results showed that the customized GloVe model improved the average cosine similarity value to 0.99. A paired t-test between the general model and the refined results yielded p < 0.01, indicating a statistically significant improvement. Extrinsic evaluation using Fréchet Inception Distance (FID) and Inception Score (IS) showed an improvement in visual quality: FID decreased from 64.5 to 48.1, and IS increased from 2.37 to 3.23. These findings demonstrate the effectiveness of semantic enhancement for improving the synthesis of culturally meaningful visuals. In addition to the technical contribution, this study demonstrates the potential of AI in the preservation of Indonesia's cultural heritage through
Evaluation of Antibiotic Use in the Inpatient Internal Medicine Ward at RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin
The misuse of antibiotics is a significant concern due to the potential for developing resistance, which poses a growing global health threat. In the United States, antibiotic-resistant infections impact two million individuals annually, leading to 23,000 deaths. In Indonesian hospitals, antibiotic prescription rates are high, ranging from 44-97%, with 30-80% of these prescriptions being inappropriate. This study aims to evaluate the use of antibiotics in the internal medicine inpatient ward at Ulin Hospital, Banjarmasin, both quantitatively and qualitatively, using the ATC/DDD and Gyssens methods. A descriptive observational study was conducted using retrospective data collected from January to December 2023. The analysis included prescription data from inpatients in the internal medicine ward. Several antibiotics were identified, including Ceftriaxone, Azithromycin, Levofloxacin, Moxifloxacin, Cefixime, and Cefotaxime. The total DDD value was found to be 118.69 DDD/100 inpatient days. The DU 90% analysis showed the following usage rates: Ceftriaxone (oral) 52.51%, Azithromycin (parenteral) 60.55%, Levofloxacin (oral) 68.10%, Moxifloxacin (parenteral) 75.21%, Cefixime (parenteral) 81.02%, and Cefotaxime (oral) 86.09%. Ceftriaxone was the most frequently used antibiotic, with 39 patients receiving appropriate prescriptions (category 0) according to the Gyssens method. In conclusion, Ceftriaxone was the most commonly used antibiotic, representing 36.90% of prescriptions. The evaluation using the ATC/DDD method yielded a total DDD/100 inpatient days value of 118.69, while the Gyssens method indicated that 33.33% of prescriptions were appropriate
Bullying among adolescents: does family structure influence the tendency to become a victim of bullying?
Bullying among junior high school students is a significant issue that affects their psychological well-being and academic performance. This study aims to examine the influence of family structure on students' bullying experiences. A causal-comparative research design was applied to investigate the relationship between family structure and bullying tendencies. The population for this study consists of 189,631 junior high school students in Malang City during the odd semester of 2024/2025. The research sample comprises 1,922 junior high school students aged 13-15 years, selected randomly. Data were collected using a valid and reliable family structure questionnaire and bullying scale, with family structure categorized into (1) living with both parents, (2) living with father only, (3) living with mother only, and (4) living with guardians or other family members. Descriptive statistics and one-way ANOVA were used for data analysis. The results showed that family structure did not affect the tendency to become victims of bullying in junior high school students. This suggests that victims of bullying can emerge from any family structure. Based on the findings, it is recommended that the role of the family be strengthened to prevent students from becoming victims of bullying

Analysis of the concept of schikking as an alternative in the strategy for recovering state financial or economic losses
Introduction to the Problem: The main issue in handling cases in the economic field is the recovery of the state's financial losses or the country's economy. This is due to the orientation of law enforcement, which always focuses on imposing imprisonment as a deterrent. As a result, fines that are imposed are often substituted with imprisonment. The criminal justice process, which ultimately leads to imprisonment, is considered ineffective and incurs high costs. Through the authority of schikking, it is considered as one of the alternative solutions. However, in practice, it still generates various reactions, including assumptions that it does not effectively deter perpetrators from committing crimes.
Purpose/Study Objectives: This research aims to examine and explain the perspective of schikking in handling economic criminal acts. Through the imposition of schikking, can financial losses or the state's economy be effectively and efficiently restored.
Design/Methodology/Approach: The research method used is normative juridical research, a type of legal research that examines the systematics of law, identifying key concepts in law, and analyzing prevailing norms and principles in legal science.
Findings: The research findings indicate that the concept of schikking views economic crimes as the cause of economic disruption in the country, so the prosecution must prioritize the recovery of state losses. As one of the sentencing systems and part of the attorney general's opportunity, schikking can be applied to crimes that have a broad impact on the country's economy. The implementation of schikking is considered effective and efficient in reducing state expenditures, taking into account the costs and benefits of handling economic cases. Additionally, schikking provides a mutually beneficial solution for the parties by giving the perpetrator an opportunity to constructively demonstrate their capacity and qualities. Schikking does not completely eliminate the element of deterrence, but rather simplifies the criminal justice system by offering a more efficient and adaptable solution, without sacrificing the core goals of law enforcement, restoring economic losses, and ensuring substantive justice.

Do Research Attitudes Predict Participation? A Quantitative Analysis Using the Research Attitudes Questionnaire
This study aimed to examine whether positive attitudes toward research predict actual participation behaviour in online research settings. The Research Attitudes Questionnaire (RAQ) was used to assess individuals’ beliefs about research, while verified participation records from the Prolific platform served as the behavioural outcome measure.A total of 215 participants completed the seven-item RAQ and provided consent for their verified participation data to be accessed through the Prolific platform. A simple linear regression analysis was conducted, with RAQ scores as the predictor variable and the total number of completed studies as the outcome variable. Participants reported generally favourable attitudes toward research; however, RAQ scores did not significantly predict verified participation behaviour (β = .071, p = .28). Attitudes accounted for only a small proportion of the variance in participation (R² = .005), suggesting limited predictive power. These findings highlight a disconnect between attitudinal endorsement and actual behaviour, consistent with the intention-behaviour gap described by Ajzen’s Theory of Planned Behaviour. The results underscore the limitations of using attitudinal measures alone to predict research engagement and suggest that integrative models incorporating individual, contextual, and structural factors are needed to improve participation rates, particularly in online contexts
DISC Personality and Career Readiness of Gen Z Psychology Students: I/O Psychology in Digital Era
The digital era demands career readiness that extends beyond technical competencies, emphasizing adaptive personality traits suited to dynamic organizational contexts. This study aims to map the DISC personality profiles of Generation Z psychology students and analyze their alignment with digital workforce demands in Industrial and Organizational Psychology (I/O Psychology). A descriptive-analytic quantitative design was employed, involving 248 undergraduate students from Universitas Muria Kudus. Data were collected using a validated DISC instrument with acceptable internal consistency (Cronbach’s α = 0.628–0.741), and model fit confirmed by Confirmatory Factor Analysis. Chi-square tests were used to examine associations among DISC categories and demographic variables. Results revealed a dominance of Conscientiousness (C) and Steadiness (S) types across strength, weakness, and total scores, indicating tendencies toward structured thinking, collaboration, and reliability. Significant correlations among DISC dimensions supported personality consistency across contexts, while no significant differences were found by gender, age, or cohort year. These findings underscore the importance of cross-dimensional personality development, particularly Dominance (D) and Influence (I) traits, to enhance adaptability and leadership in digital work environments. The study offers practical implications for integrating personality-based frameworks into I/O Psychology curricula to support holistic career readiness and employability
