Voicing the Voiceless: Photovoice and Standpoint Feminism Unveiling the Stigmatization of Ex-Sex Workers
The closure of Dolly's localization did not eradicate the stigma attached to women who are former sex workers. Discussion around the issue of women sex workers often focused on discrimination and violence. However, it paid little attention to the challenges of individuals struggling to achieve autonomy and human rights after leaving prostitution. The research aims to understand how former sex workers navigate stigma and reclaim their autonomy and human rights after the closure of Dolly's localization. Ten women identified needs, aspirations, concerns, and issues related to their lives, using Standpoint Feminism Theory to position them as authorities on their experiences. The research voices the three themes: (1) public and self-stigma, (2) positive motherhood narratives in combating stigma, and (3) strategies in responding to stigma. The photovoice method empowers participants to tell their stories directly and accurately, fostering a participatory knowledge process between researchers and participants. The study contributes to expanding the discussion on the reintegration of women affected by post-prostitution, filling gaps in existing literature on empowerment and stigma reduction strategies
Validation of Short Form Social and Loneliness Scale for Adults (SELSA-S) Indonesian Version
Dissatisfaction in a relationship leads to both emotional and social loneliness. The emergence of loneliness stems from a mismatch between the quality of the relationship and expectations. A study was conducted to evaluate the validation of the Short Form Social and Emotional Loneliness Scale for Adults (SELSA-S) Bahasa Indonesian version, based on internal structure and its relationship with other variables. Using secondary data from 155 active students, the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) grouped 14 SELSA-S items. The grouping of social, romantic, and family dimensions in the Indonesian SELSA-S aligned with the initial design and the validity of SELSA-S in Brazil, Slovakia, and Turkey. All dimensions correlated significantly with the neuroticism variable, indicating that loneliness is positively associated with anxiety, depression, and emotional instability. The validation was supported by consistent reliability tests, confirming that the Indonesian version of SELSA-S is reliable in accurately measuring loneliness
Measuring Health Workers Perspectives of Patient Safety Culture in Indonesian Hospital Using HSOPSC
Patient safety is a critical component of healthcare quality, with an increasing emphasis on cultivating a strong safety culture within healthcare organizations. A robust safety culture is linked to improved patient outcomes, particularly in hospital settings. This study contributes to the international literature by examining the perceptions of safety culture among healthcare professionals in Indonesia through a cross-sectional survey involving 100 health workers using the Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture (HSOPSC) instrument. Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed to analyze the data, revealing that the dimension of organizational learning and continuous improvement received the highest positive response rate (83%), while teamwork across hospital units was notably low at 43.8%. Multiple regression analysis revealed that organizational learning and continuous improvement was the most significant predictor of overall safety perceptions (β = 3.975, p = 0.000), emphasizing the importance of sustained learning in fostering a robust safety culture. This study highlights the need for structured training programs on teamwork and error reporting without penalty, advocating for enhanced healthcare policies in Indonesia to strengthen patient safety culture
Anxiety in HIV Patients During Treatment: The Role of Mindfulness and Resilience
HIV remains a significant global health concern, often increasing the risk of psychological distress, including depression and anxiety. Anxiety, characterized by feelings of unease and excessive worry about future events, may be influenced by mindfulness and resilience. Mindfulness, which enhances present-moment awareness, has been shown to reduce anxiety, while resilience enables individuals to cope with stressors, facilitating better management of life and treatment. This quantitative correlational study involved 116 respondents, selected through saturated sampling. The study utilized Nevid et al.'s (2003) Anxiety Scale, Baer et al.'s (2006) Mindfulness Scale, and Reivich & Shatté's (2002) Resilience Scale. The results revealed a significant negative correlation between resilience, mindfulness, and anxiety (F = 20.473, p < 0.05), with these variables accounting for 26.6% of the variance in anxiety levels. Specifically, resilience negatively correlated with anxiety (t = -2.267, p = 0.025), as did mindfulness (t = -3.068, p = 0.003). These findings suggest that both resilience and mindfulness play a crucial role in reducing anxiety among HIV patients. Therefore, integrating mindfulness and resilience-based interventions into HIV care programs may be beneficial in alleviating anxiety in this population
Ethnic Prejudice in Adolescent: The Role of Cultural Intelligence, Intergroup Contact and Ethnocentrism as Mediator
This study aims to examine the effect of cultural intelligence and intergroup contact on ethnic prejudice in adolescents, with ethnocentrism as a mediating variable. The study was conducted on 308 adolescents using a quantitative approach and analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) through the JASP program. The results showed that the resulting model had adequate fit (SRMR = 0.070; RMSEA = 0.092; CFI = 0.902; GFI = 0.983). Directly, cultural intelligence had a significant positive effect on ethnic prejudice, while intergroup contact had a significant negative effect on ethnic prejudice. Ethnocentrism also showed a strong positive effect on ethnic prejudice. The analysis of the mediation effect revealed that mediating ethnocentrism significantly affected cultural intelligence and intergroup contact on ethnic prejudice. These findings suggests that an increase in cultural intelligence or frequency of contact does not necessarily decrease ethnic prejudice without decrease in the level of ethnocentrism. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed in the context of developing interventions to reduce ethnic prejudice among adolescents

Evaluating the right to life: Lessons from Nigeria, the African Charter, and Indonesian regulations
Introduction to the Problem: The problem of the study is basically on exploring the inadequacies of the existing regulations in safeguarding human life as continuous violations of the sanctity of human dignity have remained unabated in recent years in Nigeria.
Purpose/Study Objectives: The purpose of the study is to examine the phenomenon of the right to life in CFRN, 1999 and ACHPR,1981 and their contributions to the fundamental rights enforcement system. Drawing on past or present human rights abuses of the constitutional rights of individuals in Nigeria, the question asked is whether human rights instruments in place are no longer capable of adequate protection of human life in Nigeria. In this sense, the aims of the study are to understand this issue by examining the strengths and weaknesses of the legal frameworks meant to protect lives in Nigeria. The paper argued that the CFRN 1999 and ACHPR 1981 have an absolute prohibition on abuse of human life. The paper examines, among others, the obligations on states to adopt measures capable of addressing the incessant abuse of human rights. Comparing Indonesia as a comparative country in noticing and comparing a country with a different culture.
Design/Methodology/Approach: This study uses an analytical and qualitative approach to the current legislation, policies and literature on constitutional rights and this is achieved by synthesizing ideas and comparing with the rules of other countries, especially Indonesia.
Findings: The research found that lack of prosecution, political interference, and insufficient accountability hinder human rights enforcement in Nigeria. Despite this, the CFRN 1999 and ACHPR 1981 can still protect lives if human rights legislation is reformed to be more proactive. The comparison with Indonesia highlights that each country has unique customs and characteristics in safeguarding the right to life.

Analyzing textbooks as a determining factor for plant literacy of senior high school students in the mentawai islands
Plant literacy among students in the Mentawai Islands is still relatively low, which raises concerns about the effectiveness of science education in this remote area. This study aims to analyze students' plant literacy and the contribution of textbook content to students' understanding of plant concepts. This study combines survey methods with textbook content analysis. A total of 302 students from three high schools in the Mentawai Islands were involved in this study, namely SMA Negeri 1 Siberut Tengah, SMA Negeri 2 Sikakap, and SMA Negeri 2 Sipora. Data were collected through a plant literacy questionnaire and an analysis of the content of biology books used in classes X, XI, and XII. The results show that students' plant literacy is generally very low. The textbooks used are insufficient in integrating plant-related content. This highlights the need to develop more relevant and comprehensive textbooks to improve students' plant literacy. It is also important to create better teaching materials to support plant literacy, especially in remote areas like the Mentawai Islands
The Effect of Discovery Learning Model on Learning Outcomes of Science XI Class Students on Plant Tissue Material
The purpose of learning is certainly in the form of good learning outcomes, and its implementation is usually influenced by several major factors from the teacher when choosing a learning strategy or model. So that research was conducted related to the effect of the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA on plant tissue material. This research is a type of quasi-experimental research, and this research was conducted to see whether or not there is an effect of the application of the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of students in class XI IPA on plant tissue material. The population used in this study was all students of class XI IPA 1, 4, 5, and 6, totaling 117 students. The data sampling technique at the time of the research was purposive sampling. There are two data collection techniques used in this study, namely: (1) written tests, namely by giving a pretest before learning and a posttest after learning, (2) the non-test technique is observation. Based on the results of the normality and homogeneity tests, the results showed that the data were not normally distributed because the Sig value on Kolmogorov-Smirnov was 0.00 < 0.05 and not homogeneous. After all, the homogeneity test results showed the result of 0.00, which was < 0.05. Because the data obtained were not normally distributed and not homogeneous, it was continued with the nonparametric test, namely the Wilcoxon test. Based on the results of the Wilcoxon test, the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000. Because 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is accepted. This means that there is an effect of the discovery learning model on the learning outcomes of class XI students in studying plant tissue material
