    The Issue of Islamic Higher Education Development in Indonesia from 1945 to Present

    This research aims to analyze the issues surrounding the development of Islamic Higher Education through the application of literature review methodology. Literature review methodology involves collecting and analyzing relevant literature and references to understand the associated issues within the context of Islamic higher education institutions. The study adopts a qualitative approach by analyzing various literatures, journals, books, and related theoretical sources. The data obtained are descriptively analyzed to identify patterns and trends in the dynamics of Islamic higher education institutions. The findings reveal that these institutions face complex dynamics in addressing contemporary challenges. Furthermore, this abstract identifies challenges encountered by Islamic Higher Education institutions, such as competition with non-Islamic educational institutions, enhancing the quality of human resources, funding, and accreditation issues. These challenges require innovation and appropriate strategies to ensure the sustainability and success of Islamic Higher Education institutions. In conclusion, this abstract highlight the dynamics occurring within Islamic Higher Education institutions

    Visimuka: Video Tour Situs Muara Kaman based on Instagram for Class X Students of SMA Negeri 1 Tenggarong Seberang, Kutai Kartanegara Regency

    This development research was carried out based on observations of problems and potentials that exist in SMA Negeri 1 Tenggarong Seberang. The problem found is the lack of innovation in history learning media and the low knowledge of students about the Muara Kaman Site cultural heritage of the Kutai Kingdom, for this reason, learning media innovations are needed that can overcome these problems. Several potential schools can support the development of digital learning media, such as the Video Tour Situs Muara Kaman (Visimuka). Visimuka is a learning media in the form of short videos taken directly at the Muara Kaman Site, then edited using the InShot application, and uploaded on Instagram social media. The research uses the ADDIE model which has five steps, namely Analyze (analyze), Design (design), Development (develop), Implement (implement), and Evaluate (evaluate). Visimuka learning media is a digital media that has gone through a validation test with very valid media results and a product feasibility test with the results of the media very feasible to use for history learning

    The Influence of Sheikh Abdul Fattah in the Development of Islam in Natal City (1745-1855)

    This article explores the pivotal role played by Sheikh Abdul Fattah in shaping the development of Islam in Natal City and its environs from 1745 to 1855. Initially, the populace of the South Tapanuli region was lacking in Islamic knowledge. However, with the advent of Sheikh Abdul Fattah, concerted efforts were made to enhance Islamic religious education. Through the establishment and nurturing of the Sheikh Abdul Fattah Private Islamic College (STAIS), he catalyzed profound transformations. STAIS was founded upon his return from studies in Makkah, where he effectively disseminated the knowledge acquired to his community in Natal. By implementing innovative approaches, STAIS Sheikh Abdul Fattah emerged as a beacon, attracting hundreds of students from Natal City and its vicinity, thus revolutionizing Islamic education in the area. The endeavor to cultivate a refined and progressive society became central to Sheikh Abdul Fattah's vision. Inspired by this ethos, he successfully revolutionized the landscape of Islamic education in Kota Natal, leaving an indelible mark on the expansion of religious knowledge and the advancement of Muslim civilization in the region

    This research aims to develop Ethni-City game, a contemporary innovation to promote diversity in Banten Province by exploring the historical context of the Multicultural City of Surosowan. The research methodology involves historical research and the research and development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The outcome of this study is the development of the Ethni-City game, a digital educational tool highlighting the history and culture of five villages within the Multicultural City of Surosowan: Bugis Village, Pekojan Village, Chinatown, European Village, and Kebalen Village. The game underwent expert evaluation, resulting in a rating of 'Highly Feasible/Excellent.' Implementation of the game received positive responses from respondents, who viewed it as an engaging educational medium for introducing diversity to the people of Banten Province

    As an archipelago country, maritime culture has been rooted in the history of Indonesian tradition. River utilization and control of the ocean have become the veins of the economy. Changes in the shape of the river will also affect what happens around it. The Brantas River, as one of the centers of culture and civilization in East Java, has extraordinary dynamics which has rapid flow and contain many streams. Further, the existence of the Brantas River has also become the economic lifeblood of the people of East Java. This research discusses changes to the Brantas river flow in the Porong branch. Changes in the Porong river branch occur doe to natural factors and human modification. The result of the research show that modifications to the river flow carried out by the government at the time changed the direction of the river flow, the function of the river and the economic pattern of society in East Java

    The Continuity of Limas House of Pangeran Syarif Ali in South Sumatra from Dutch to Present

    This article aims to discover the process of changing ownership and moving locations, as well as trace the process of development and subsequent changes in Rumah Limas in the South Sumatra State Museum environment. The method used is the historical method which consists of four stages, namely: heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that this Limas House had changed ownership and places six times. At the beginning of its construction, this house was located inside the Kuto Besak Palace, then moved by the Dutch Colonial Government to near the Sekanak River, then moved again outside Palembang City (Marga Batun and Pemulutan) and finally returned to Palembang (behind the Palembang Gemeente Office). In 1933, the Dutch made this Limas House as a Gemeente Museum until the entry of Japan into Palembang. After independence, this house was used as the Bari Museum Palembang, then due to construction reasons this house was moved again to the neighborhood of the South Sumatra State Museum (Balaputra Dewa) and stayed until now

    The Dynamics of the Islamic Association (Persis) Educational Institutions, 1923-1962

    This study aims to elucidate Persis's pivotal role in fostering the growth of Islamic boarding school institutions in Indonesia between 1923 and 1962. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research utilizes library research methods and content analysis. Primary sources include the Sipatahoenan Newspaper and Bendera Islam. The findings reveal that Persis's emphasis on primary and secondary education has culminated in the establishment of 230 Islamic Unity Islamic Boarding Schools nationwide. Moreover, Persis has notably founded the Islamic Education University as a tertiary-level institution. The organization also facilitates courses and discussion forums addressing religious matters and disseminates literature to advance the discourse on Islamic propagation and education renewal. Regarding the educational curriculum, Persis integrates Islamic studies, Quranic teachings, and Hadith studies with conventional education. However, challenges persist in the operational aspects of Islamic educational institutions, necessitating enhancements in management practices, augmenting educational facilities, and bolstering the quality of human resources

    This research aims to examine the efforts of GUPPI in reforming Islamic education in Indonesia. This study employs a literature review methodology, utilizing a qualitative approach with a historical method. Data is collected through literature from various journals and relevant websites concerning the research subject. The findings reveal that GUPPI experienced fluctuations, both during the New Order era and the Reform era. During the New Order era, GUPPI saw institutional development in assets and territory, indicating significant progress due to its political ties with Golkar. However, GUPPI's idealism to further develop Islamic education stagnated during the Reform era. In the VII GUPPI Congress in 1998, GUPPI disaffiliated from the Golkar party and returned to being an independent organization. Post-VII and VIII Congresses from 2005 to 2011, GUPPI continued to grapple with internal issues and sought strategies for revival

    This research is motivated by Kurikulum Merdeka in History lessons which contains achievements to be able to contextualize events that occurred in the past. The ability of teachers who have now developed by having the ability to create and use electronic-based teaching materials can develop electronic-based teaching materials containing historical material that is linked to contextual issues. Seeing this, the researcher conducted a quasi-experimental study aimed at analyzing the influence of e-modules based on a contextual approach to historical thinking skills. The researcher saw this influence by using a quasi-experiment with a time series design conducted at SMA Negeri 26 Bandung. The results of the study showed that e-modules based on a contextual approach can show an influence on historical thinking skills with a moderate increase in the category

    This research endeavors to implement pedagogical techniques aimed at enhancing students' writing prowess within the framework of learning modules for courses on quantitative research methodologies utilizing a feedback-oriented approach. This research was carried out employing a pre-experimental design, specifically the type one group pretest-posttest design. The experimental cohort comprised pupils enrolled in the Quantitative Research Methods course, belonging to the History Education Department at Lambung Mangkurat University during the odd semester of the academic year 2022/2023. The research outcomes indicate that implementing the quantitative research methods course module with a feedback approach substantially enhances students' academic literacy in composing research proposals. It can be asserted that the implementation of modules employing a feedback-oriented approach is efficacious in cultivating students' proficiency in academic literacy pertaining to quantitative research methodologie
