Background: The industrial advancement needed occupational health and safety higher.Accident is case who unwanted occurred and unknown whenever happened., but could beanticipated. Appeared the secured condition from the accident possibility would fluented theworkability company and kept the work productivity. There was some way to decreased workaccident possibility, many method could done by increasing APD utilization frequencies atproduction level. Occupational accident generally caused by many factors and often caused byso many reason.Method: This research was observasional research who done with coss sectional approach thevariable in this research was APD utilization, age, work period as independent variable andoccupational accident as dependent variable. This research was performed at November 2008for all workers of rustic department PT.BMB Eksport Yogyakarta with sample as big as 37workers. The file taking over using questionaire. The result of the research analized by simplelinier regression test. The aims of this research was to know the relationship between apdutilization, age, work period with occupational accident to the rustic department workers PTBMB Eksport Yogyakarta.Result : The result of this research showed that (1) there were strong relationship between apdutilization , age, work period with occupational accident with p value = 0,009. 2) there wasstrong relationship between age with occupation accident p value = 0,018. 3) there was notrelationship between work period with occupational accident p value = 0,813Conclusion: There were relationship between apd utilization, age, with occupational accident,there was not relationship between work period with occupational accident to the rusticdepartment workers PT BMB Eksport Yogyakarta.Keyword : APD utilization, age, work period, occupational acciden
UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI INFUSA DAUN SIRSAK (Annona muricata L.) SECARA in Vitro TERHADAP Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 dan Escherichia coli ATCC 35218 SERTA PROFIL KROMATOGRAFI LAPIS TIPISNYA
Background: A research has been done to test the In vitro antibacterial activities of sirsak leaf(Annona muricata L.) infuse toward Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and Escherichia coliATCC 35218 to analyze its thin layer chromatography profile. This research done to observe theantibacterial activity from sirsak leaf infuse.Method: A test on the antibacterial activity was done by using liquid dilution method. Theconcentration infuse in sterile destilate water using to test the antibacterial activity toward S.aureus were 100%, 95%, 90%, 85%, 80%, and 75% w/v, while toward E. coli were 100%, 90%,80%, 70%, 60%, and 50% w/v. To detect Chemical contains of the sirsak leaf infuse wereidentified using Screening method of Phytochemistry and Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC).Result: The result showed that the Minimum Bacterial Concentration (MBC) of sirsak leaf infuseS. aureus were 85% w/v, while E. coli could not be show antibacterial activity until 100% w/vconcentration. The Minimum Inhibition Concentration (MIC) could not be identified by the liquiddilution because the mixture were turbid and the colour is dark brown. Screening method ofPhytochemistry use tube-test and Thin Layer Chromatography showed that the infuse containflavonoid, poliphenol, and alkaloid.Conclusion: Infuse of sirsak leaf (Annona muricata L.) has antibacterial activity againstStaphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and Escherichia coli ATCC 35218 profil infuse. PENGARUH BUKU SAKU GIZI TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN GIZI PADA ANAK KELAS 5 MUHAMMADIYAH DADAPAN DESA WONOKERTO KECAMATAN TURI KABUPATEN SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA
Background :Nutrition education is very important given since entering primary school for chil-dren have good nutrition knowledge level. The level of nutrition knowledge a person will influ-ence the attitudes and behavior in selecting foods that will ultimately affect the nutritional state of the individual concerned. Nutrition pocket book is one of the methods of health education in the form of print media that can provide information about nutrition and to increase nutrition knowledge in children, with increased knowledge of nutrition is expected to prevent diseases caused by malnutrition. This study aims to determine the effect of nutrition on the pocket book on child nutrition knowledge level of grade 5 elementary school Muhammadiyah Dadapan Vil-lage District Wonokerto Turi Sleman Yogyakarta Method: Type of research is quasi Exsperiment with pre test and post test one group design. The samples were grade 5 students Muhammadiyah Dadapan Village Elementary School Dis-trict Wonokerto Turi Sleman Yogyakarta, which numbered 30 students, using primary data. Measurement of knowledge conducted using questionnaires before and after the pocket book. Data analysis using Paired Sample T-Test Results: There is increased knowledge about nutrition in children 5th grade elementary school Muhammadiyah Dadapan Village District Wonokerto Turi Sleman Yogyakarta with an average value, it is known that the mean value before it is given a pocket book and the mean is given after each pocket book for 71.33 and 91.07. Mean shows the average difference before and after the administration of a paperback book. Significant value Sig (2-tailed) (0.000) <0025 and 95% Confidence interval -22.820 <1> -16.646 (does not include item 1). The probability or pos-sibility of true hypotheses is small so Ho is rejected, it states that there is a difference of mean between before and after given a pocket book, pocket book on nutrition so that gives the effect of nutrition knowledge of elementary school children grades 5 Muhammadiyah Dadapan Wonokerto In the village of Turi Sleman District, Yogyakarta. Conclusion: The Pocket Book of Nutrition have a significant influence on the increased knowl-edge of nutrition in children 5th grade elementary school Muhammadiyah Village Dadapan Wonokerto Turi Sleman District, Yogyakarta. PERBEDAAN ASUPAN ENERGI DAN PROTEIN PADA SIANG HARI ANTARA ANAK TAMAN KANAN-KANAK DI SEKOLAH DENGAN MODEL SCHOOL FEEDING DAN NON SCHOOL FEEDING
Background: Kindergarten (TK) is the beginning in introducing a child with a social environment outside the family. Kindergarten-age children is going through a relatively rapid growth and is a group vulnerable to nutritional problems especially energy and protein deficiency. Nutrition got by children in everyday food consumption has a big role for the children. Food facility (School feeding) is expected to be able to meet the nutritional needs of children that consist of morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. The aim of this study is to determine the differences of energy and protein intakes during the day of kindergarten students at school with school feeding and non-school feeding model in Blimbing, Sukoharjo, Central Java. Method: This was a quasi experimental research design. Numbers of the study subjects consist of 38 5-7 years old kindergarten students from schools with school feeding and non-school feeding. Research tools used is 24-hour recall form. Data analysis used independent t-test to determine differences in the energy and protein intakes. Results: The consumption average of energy during the day (7.30 am-03.30 pm) of the kindergarten children with school feeding and non-school feeding a model is 572,5 and 640,5 kcal. While the average consumption of protein during the day (7.30 am-03.30 pm) in kindergarten children with school feeding and non-school feeding a model was 20,3 and 19,3 gr. Conclusion: There was no difference of the energy and protein intakes during the day (p> 0.05) between the two types of the kindergarten children in school. HUBUNGAN ANTARA BEBAN KERJA DENGAN KELELAHAN KERJA KARYAWAN LAUNDRY DI KELURAHAN WARUNGBOTO KECAMATAN UMBULHARJO KOTA YOGYAKARTA
Background: A problem which related with ergonomy factor commonly caused by conformity between the worker with occupation circles completely include occupation tools and the energy need or the amount of calori which used by the worker. Light in weight occupation which must be done by a worker will depend on changes indication appear and can be measured by measuring human part of body such as the rapid artery beat. The kind of measuring done for knowing how big the physical load accepted by the worker so that cause weariness. This experiment as a purpose to know the relation between the occupation weariness of the laundry workers in Kelurahan Warungboto Kecamatan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta City.Method: The kind of this experiment is observational analytic with study program Cross Sectional. The data interpretation done by measuring of artery beat on wrist (radical artery) to see the respondent occupation load and measuring weariness by Reaction timer tool.Result: From the test result statistic, so respondent there are relation between occupation load with occupation weariness Laundry worker in Kelurahan Warungboto Kecamatan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta city statistically mean (Sig-2 tailed 0,0000). Ho which states is no relationship between load with occupation weariness of the laundry worker rejected Ha which states there is relationship between load with occupation weariness of the laundry worker accepted.Conclusion: There are relation that mean between occupation load with occupation weariness of the laundry worker in Kelurahan Warungboto Kecamatan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta city.Keyword: Occupation load, Artery beat, Occupation weariness and Reaction timer
HUBUNGAN ANTARA STATUS SOSIAL EKONOMI KELUARGA DENGAN KEMATIAN PERINATAL DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS BAAMANG UNIT II SAMPIT KALIMANTAN TENGAH JANUARI-APRIL 2010
Background: Mortality is an indicator of perinatal health status of mothers and children in the general obstetric service. Puskesmas Baamang Unit II Sampit is one of the health service in the town of Sampit who are ready to provide health services to the community. Socioeconomic factors such as education, knowledge about health, nutrition and environmental health, beliefs, values, and poverty is an individual and family factors that affect mortality in the community. Low socioeconomic women who are unable to meet the daily needs because of economic constraints so that women's nutritional needs are not fulfilled, this will have an impact on pregnancy. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between socioeconomic status families with perinatal mortality in the working area Puskesmas Baamang Unit II Sampit. Methods: This was an observational research with cross sectional design. Total sample of 81 people. Samples were taken with a total sampling technique, using primary and secondary. Results: This study showed that there was a relationship between the social economy of perinatal death with a family with a CC value = 0.636; X2 count> X2 table (12.271> 3.841) and Approx. .000 Sig is smaller than ? (0.05). Conclusion: There was a relationship between socioeconomic status families with perinatal mortality in the Puskesmas Baamang Unit II Sampit in Central Kalimantan. HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP DENGAN PERILAKU PERAWAT DALAM PEMBUANGAN SAMPAH MEDIS DI RUMAH SAKIT PKU MUHAMMADIYAH YOGYAKARTA
Background: Hospitals in organizing the efforts of health services will result in waste that couldaffect the surrounding environment, so it needs a good waste management efforts. The successof waste management is influenced by the behavior of nurses in performing particular medicalwaste specially. The waste management is good and right by the nurses is basically able todistinguish non-medical and medical waste. Factors knowledge and attitude is one factor in theformation of nurse behavior disposal of medical waste in hospitals. This study aims to determinethe knowledge, attitudes and behavior of nurses, determine the relationship of knowledge todetermine the relationship of behavior and attitudes to the behavior of nurses in medical wastedisposal in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta.Methods: This study was an observational analytic, using cross sectional approach. Theresearch tool was used quesionnaire. The population in this study was nurse as many as 155people and sample as many as 60 people who were on morning shift. Analysis of the data usingunivariate analysis using frequency distributions and bivariate analysis using the Kendall taucorrelation test.Results: There was a relationship between the level of knowledge of the behavior of caregiversin the dump medical waste with coeffisien correlation of 0.373 with a significant value (?) are0.002 which indicates that the value of (?) are smaller than the value of alpha (?). There was alink attitudes with behavior of nurses in the disposal of medical waste with coeffisien correlationis 0.414 with a significant value (?) are 0.000 which indicates that the value of (?) are smallerthan the value of alpha (?).Conclusion: There was a relationship between knowledge of the behavior of nurses in medicalwaste disposal in PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital of Yogyakarta. HUBUNGAN ANTARA POLA KONSUMSI DAN AKTIVITAS FISIK DENGAN STATUS GIZI PADA LANSIA DI PANTI SOSIAL TRESNA WERDHA UNIT ABIYOSO YOGYAKARTA
Background: Elderly Group is included into nutritional susceptible group because of specific feature causing this group easily affected by malnutrition. Age increasing in someone causes a low metabolism velocity. It can be solved by giving nutritional need adequate for elderly. Thus, paying attention to con-sumption pattern is an important thing to keep their nutritional status. Aside from giving a good nutrition, physical activity is also a thing that should be paid attention to in elderly. The aims of this research are for consumption pattern, physical activity, nutritional status, and relation between consumption pattern and physical activity with nutritional status in elderly in Panti Sosial Trena Werdha (PTSW) Unit Abiyoso Yogyakarta, at year 2011. Methods: Cross sectional was chosen as the design of this research. Population in this research was all elderly in PTSW Unit Abiyoso Yogyakarta. Sample taken in this research was population that filled inclu-sion criteria established by the researcher, so that sample obtained 53 people. Instrument research used was direct measure and questionnaire interview, and analyze used was Chi square. Results: Based on bi-variety test, there is no significant relation between consumption pattern and nutri-tional status, seen from RP=0,811 with Confident Interval 0,479<RP<1,372. And there is no significant relation between physical activity and nutritional status, seen from RP= 1,005 with Confident Interval 0,638<RP<1,585. Conclusion: There is no significant relation between consumption patterns and physical activity with nutritional status in elderly in Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha (PSTW) Unit Abiyoso Yogyakarta, at year 2011. HUBUNGAN SISA KLOR DENGAN KELUHAN IRITASI KULIT DAN MATA PADA PEMAKAI KOLAM RENANG HOTEL DI WILAYAH KOTA YOGYAKARTA
Background: Public places such as public baths and swimming pools are used as a gathering place by many people have potency to be a medium of disease transmission. Direct contact among visitors can transmit disease germs from one to the other visitors. Moreover, the contact can be a deployment medium of a disease. This study aimed to determine the relationship between chlorine residue with the complaints of skin and eye irritations of swimmingpool users in Yogyakarta hotels.Methods: The research was an observational analytic study by using cross sectional design. Sampling of the research uses systematic random sampling and consists of 48 respondents. Research tools used are questionnaires and laboratory tests. Data analysis uses univariate and bivariate analysis with a statistical test ChiSquare (X2).Results: Results of the study showed that 28 respondents (58.3%) have complaints and 20 respondents (41.7%) do not have complaints. From six water samples taken from swimming pool, 4 samples (66.7%) do not qualify and 2 samples (33.3%) are eligible. Bivariate analysis found that there was a significant relationship between chlorine residue with the complaints of skin and eye irritations of swimming pool users in Yogyakarta hotels (p = 0.038) smaller than alpha (? = 0.05), RP = 1,83. Conclusion: There was a relationship between residual chlorine with the complaints of skin and eye irritations of swimming pool users in Yogyakarta hotels.Keywords: Chlorine Residue, Skin and eye irritation complaints, Swimming Poo
HUBUNGAN ANTARA ASUPAN MAKANAN DAN STATUS KESADARAN GIZI KELUARGA DENGAN STATUS GIZI BALITA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SEWON I, BANTUL
Background: Poor nutritional status of children in Puskesmas Sewon I in 2007 amounted to 0.60%. Family Nutrition Awareness Status in Puskesmas Sewon I was at 47.06%. Average consumption of energy and protein adequacy of children under the minimum requirements is 19.8% to 9.9% for en-ergy and protein. Nutritional status is influenced by several factors, either directly or indirectly and purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of nutrition intake and family nutrition awareness status with under five years child nutritional status in Puskesmas Sewon I Bantul Yogya-karta. Method: Design of this research was cross sectional. The sample size of this study was 97 respon-dents. Sampling method of the study was proportional cluster random sampling technique. The variables examined in this research include under five years child nutritional status, nutrition intake, and fam-ily nutrition awareness status. The relationship of each variable was seen by using the Chi Square statistical test. Results: Results showed that of 97 respondents found 39 children (40.2%) had one and the nutri-tional status of 58 children (59.8%) had normal nutritional status. Bivariate analysis showed a relation-ship between under five years children nutritional status with food intake p < 0.05 (p = 0.000) and for under five years children nutritional status with family nutrition awareness status p < 0.05 (p = 0.03). Conclusion: There was a relationship of nutrition intake and family nutrition awareness status with under five years child nutritional status.
