EFEKTIVITAS WAKTU PENGGENANGAN AIR TERHADAP PENGAWETAN LENGAS TANAH PADA TANAMAN KEDELAI
Important factors that form the basis of water management are plant characteristics based on water requirements, the amount of water supplied, irrigation methods, and soil characteristics to conserve water. These factors are also influenced by local agroecological conditions such as climate, soil type, and availability of irrigation water. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of inundation time on soybean growth and production to maintain soil moisture. The study was arranged in an experimental form using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of waterlogging time treatment (W), ie not flooded/field capacity (W0), inundation 0-15 days after planting (dap) (W1), inundation 15-30 dap (W2), inundation at 30-45 dap (W3), and inundation continuously until harvest (W4). The height of the water given was 5 cm. The results showed that continuous inundation until harvest increased the weight of seeds by 19.23% compared without inundation. This was evidenced by the increasing number of pods and number of seeds per plant by 31.1% and 37.59% compared to field capacity. Continuous inundation showed that the highest soil water content (moisture) compared to other treatments. As for the greenness of leaves, inundation at 15-30 dap showed the lowest greenness of leaves while the highest greenness of leaves is inundation 0-15 dap, and this was not significantly different from other treatments. Continuous inundation has shown the potential to increase soybean yield. These results indicated that the irrigation method until the soil was saturated with water or above the field capacity was still quite safe for the growth, development, and production of soybean plants
KADAR ABU, BETN, DAN SERAT IKAN CAKALANG ASAP DENGAN PERENDAMAN EKSTRAK DAUN BELIMBING WULUH
Gorontalo Province is one of the regions that have the biggest potential to produce skipjack fish (Katsuwonus pelamis) in Indonesia. The community processes the catch into processed which has economic value, both traditional and modern. One of them is smoked fish which gives a distinctive taste and can extend its shelf life and maintain nutrient levels. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of wealth starfruit leaf extract on Proximate Cakalang fish smoke. This research is an experimental study with the treatment of using star fruit leaf extract (EDBW) and without star fruit leaf extract (TEDBW) with 3 replications. The parameters tested were proximate (ash, fiber, and BETN). The results of the analysis were calculated using Anova Two-Factor with Replication. The results showed that the ash of skipjack smoked fish with EDBW treatment was 1.55% and without EDBW treatment was 1.33%, BETN with EDBW treatment was 0.73% and without EDBW treatment was 1.37%, fiber content with EDBW treatment was 0.08% and without treatment, EDBW is 0.23%. The best result is this belimbing leaf extract capable of lowering BETN by 0.64%. It can be concluded that the starfruit leaf extract significantly affects BETN and fiber but does not affect the ash content
PENDAPATAN DAN STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN USAHA INTEGRASI SAPI POTONG PADA TANAMAN KAKAO DI KABUPATEN BOALEMO GORONTALO
The implementation of the cocoa and cattle integration system is expected to reduce agricultural production costs and livestock business costs due to the availability of feed ingredients for livestock and sources of fertilizer for cocoa plants. This study aims to analyze the income of farmers who apply the system integration pattern for beef cattle in cocoa. In addition to analyzing strategies that must be applied by beef cattle breeders in the cocoa crop integration pattern. The study was conducted in Paguyaman and Wonosari Districts, Boalemo District, with a sample of 103 farmers. Analysis of the data used is a descriptive analysis of income and SWOT. The results showed that farmers' income in the integration pattern had good progress where the R / C ratio of cocoa plants had increased income by 23.48% from non-integration into integration. While for cattle, there was an increase in income of 2.39%. In addition, a strategy to develop the integration of beef cattle-cacao is in quadrant 3, a WO strategy that combines opportunities to reduce farmers' weaknesses in developing integrated beef cattle systems in crops. cocoa in Boalemo District
KEANEKARAGAMAN DAN DOMINANSI IKAN YANG BERASOSIASI DENGAN BUDIDAYA RUMPUT LAUT DAN KERAMBA JARING APUNG DI PERAIRAN KABUPATEN BARRU SULAWESI SELATAN
Budidaya perikanan laut saat ini mulai berkembang pesat seiring dengan semakin berkurangnya hasil tangkapan perikanan laut. Sektor budidaya perikanan laut diharapkan dapat menjadi penyuplai hasil terbesar sektor kelautan dan perikanan di masa yang akan datang. Upaya perbaikan kegiatan budidaya laut semakin digalakkan, termasuk upaya mengoptimalkan peran lainnya sebagai kawasan konservasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di perairan Barru Sulawesi Selatan dari bulan Februari sampai Agustus 2018. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui jenis ikan yang berasosiasi dengan budidaya rumput laut dan keramba jaring apung. Selain itu untuk mengetahui lamanya ikan untuk berasosiasi dengan kegiatan budidaya rumput laut dan keramba jarring apung. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan melakukan observasi di lokasi budidaya laut. Sampel diidentifikasi di lokasi penelitian, dan dibawa ke laboratorium untuk diidentifikasi lebih lanjut bagi sampel yang tidak dapat diidentifikasi secara langsung. Pengamatan dilakukan disekitar area budidaya. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan family ikan yang berasosiasi dengan budidaya rumput laut dan keramba jaring apaung yaitu famili Nemipteridae, Haemulidae, MulidaeAcanthuridae, Ceasionidae, Labridae, Pomacanthidae, Scaridae, Pomacentridae, Sygnatidae, Blenniidae, Aulostomidae, Centriscidae,Plotoscidae, danChaetodontidae trifasciatu. Lamanya ikan menggunakan kawasan budidaya pada area rumput laut yaitu selama 46 hari, yaitu setelah rumput laut berumur dua minggu sampai panen. Lamanya ikan menggunakan kawasan budidaya pada area keramba jaring apung selama 95 hari, yaitu mulai penaburan benih ikan sampai panen
OPTIMALISASI BAKTERI Rhizobium japonicum SEBAGAI PENAMBAT NITROGEN DALAM UPAYA PENINGKATAN PRODUKSI JAGUNG
Jagung merupakan salah satu komoditi di Indonesia yang tingkat konsumsinya cukup tinggi sebagai pangan dan pakan. Namun seringkali dalam proses budidaya jagung mengalami defisiensi unsur hara nitrogen, sehingga mempengaruhi produksi jagung dalam negeri. Salah satu solusi yang dilakukan yaitu dengan penggunaan bakteri Rhizobium japonicum untuk memenuhi kebutuhan unsur N. Bakteri ini adalah salah satu bakteri penambat nitrogen yang dapat mengkonversi N dari udara bebas kedalam bentuk NH4+ dan NO3- agar dapat diserap oleh tanaman. Untuk mencapai pertumbuhan bakteri Rhizobium japonicum yang maksimal perlu diupayakan kondisi pH 6-7, kelembaban udara yang stabil, suhu 25-30?C, dan ketersedian unsur hara molybdenum, besi, belerang, fosfor, kalsium, aluminium, dan mangan. Bakteri ini hanya dapat melakukan simbiotik dengan tanaman kedelai saja, sehingga untuk meningkatkan produksi jagung dilakukan pola penanaman tumpangsari antara jagung dan kedelai
PERSEPSI PETERNAK TERHADAP PENGUATAN SUBSISTEM AGRIBISNIS SAPI POTONG DAN MATERI PENYULUHAN BERDASARKAN PENDEKATAN SWOT ANALYSIS
Beef management is currently directed to be based on agribusiness. Agribusiness has 4 subsystems that must be managed by farmers, namely the upstream subsystem, primary agriculture (cultivation), downstream, and supporting system. The aims of this study was to determine the agribusiness subsystems that were considered weak in Argosadono Gapoktan which was already based on animal husbandry agribusiness. Furthermore, to explore the ability of farmers to strengthen the agribusiness subsystem through counseling. The study was conducted in Ngampel Village, Papar District, Kediri Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The research approach used quantitative descriptive with Gapoktan Argosadono breeders object by involving their management as informants in this study. Sampling technique using purposive sampling with criteria for groups of livestock who joined the Gapoktan was an active group and recommended by the chairman of Gapoktan, has a complete core management, and has good communication skills. Data collection techniques used were observation, semistructured interviews, filling out closed questionnaires, Forum Group Discussion, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used SWOT analysis, counseling design, and continued evaluation of farmers' perceptions of the material that has been delivered in counseling. The results of the study based on the SWOT analysis diagram, obtained a suitable strategy in quadrant I (one), namely SO (Strengths-Opportunities). The strategy that must be implemented was to support an aggressive growth policy (Growth oriented strategy). The number of SO (Strengths-Opportunities) strategies obtained was 9 items, while the most pressing topic at the moment was the provision of cattle scales. Based on the 9 items of the SO strategy, the material was determined to support the running of the SO strategy. Based on the decision making matrix, the counseling material was obtained, namely the calculation of body weight using the Lambourne formula and the meter. After the implementation of counseling, perception evaluation carried out. The results obtained by farmers received very good innovation, as many as 47 respondents from 56 respondents were in the criterion V whose predicate perception was very good
KAJIAN DAMPAK LA NINA TERHADAP KUALITAS HASIL SALAK PONDOH (Salacca edulis Reinw.) SELAMA PENYIMPANAN SUHU RUANG
Changes in rainfall with high humidity due to La Nina can be one of the factors that can affect the quality of the yield of horticultural products. La Nina simulation was done by soaking snake fruits in water for a certain time. The aimed of this research was to examine the effect of La Nina carried out using simulations on several quality parameters of snake fruits. This research used a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two treatments, fruit without soaking and fruit soaked for 5 minutes (La Nina simulation). The treatment was repeated three times. Observations were made at 0 days, 3 days, 6 days and 9 days. The La Nina simulation treatment with 5 minutes soaking affected the quality of snake fruits, which shown by the decreasing in the physical appearance of the fruit, the hardness of the fruit, and the total acid content of the fruit. In general, a decrease in some qualities of snake fruits occurs on the 6th to 9th day of storage
PERILAKU PETERNAK TENTANG PEMBUATAN RANSUM BERBASIS BAHAN LOKAL DI GAPOKTAN URIPMULYO DESA PAREREJO PURWODADI PASURUAN
Uripmulyo Gapoktan is an association for farmer groups in Parerejo Village, which consists of Uripmulyo I, Uripmulyo II, Uripmulyo III, Mulyo Tani, Suka Makmur and Tani Makmur Farmers groups. This farmer group has a population of 464 cattles. In addition, in the Parerejo Village, there was a tofu factory and rice mill industry, whose waste is not utilized as a beef cattle ration. Farmers only provide forage feed, so it is necessary to carry out counseling activities on the manufacture of rations based on local ingredients, in the form of materials that were easily found by local farmers or potential feed ingredients in Parerejo Village. These feed ingredients include grass, tofu dregs, and rice bran and additional premixes. This study was conducted on 50 beef cattle breeders who were incorporated into the Uripmulyo Gapoktan taken randomly. The aim was to find out the knowledge, attitudes, and skills of breeders towards making rations based on local ingredients for beef cattle feed in Gapoktan Uripmulyo, Parerejo Village, Purwodadi District, Pasuruan Regency. The method used in this study includes four stages, namely (1) counseling in class, (2) counseling with demonstration methods, (3) counseling practice / out class (4) evaluation. The extension media used were (1) powerpoint slides, (2) folders, (3) videos and (4) real objects. Analysis techniques used in behavioral measurement include, (1) knowledge using interval techniques, (2) attitude measurement using T-score techniques and (3) observational skills measurements and analyzed using interval techniques. The results of the implementation showed that the level of knowledge of farmers was 76% in the good category, attitudes of farmers showed 74% received, and the level of skills of farmers showed 86% were very skilled at the material presented, about how to make rations based on local ingredients for beef cattle feed
OPTIMASI ALAT PENANGKAPAN IKAN CAKALANG DAN KAKAP MERAH DI SELAT MAKASSAR
Penggunaan dan keragaan unit alat tangkap berpengaruh terhadap keberlanjutan penangkapan ikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengkaji optimasi penggunaan alat penangkapan yang ada di Selat Makassar, yaitu perairan Barru Sulawesi Selatan sampai Majene Sulawesi Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok data, yaitu data sekunder dan data primer. Pengumpulan data primer meliputi keragaan penggunaan alat tangkap, yaitu aspek teknis, biologi, sosial dan ekonomis, standirisasi alat penangkapan, pendugaan parameter model bioekonomi dan model penangkapan lestari (MSY), serta model bionomi. Alat tangkap purse seine merupakan unit penangkapan cakalang yang terbaik, begitu pula dengan aspek dari gabungan fungsi keempat aspek, sedangkan penggunaan alat tangkap yang digunakan pada ikan kakap merah belum mencapai overfishing
RESPONS PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL PADI GOGO PADA BERBAGAI KONSENTRASI ISOLAT BAKTERI EPIFIT
This study aims to study the growth response and yield of upland rice at various concentrations of epiphytic bacterial isolates. The study was arranged using a randomized block design (RCBD), with treatment concentrations of epiphytic bacterial isolates, which consisted of four concentrations. Namely without epiphytic isolates (control), epiphytic bacterial isolates 45 ml/l of water, epiphytic bacterial isolates 50 ml/l of water, and epiphytic bacterial isolates of 55 ml/l of water. The results showed that the treatment of various concentrations of epiphytic bacterial isolates significantly affected the growth and yield of upland rice. Treatment concentration of 55 ml/l of water gives the best effect which is higher than other treatments on plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, number of productive tillers, panicle length, number of grains, wet and dry weight and yield of upland rice
