    Analisis Pertumbuhan Tanaman Padi Varietas IPB 4S pada Media Tanam dengan Tingkat Cekaman Kekeringan Berbeda

    Drought is abiotic stress that can inhibit the growth and yield of rice plants. A simple method to determine the physiological response, growth, and yield of rice is using plant growth analysis. The aim of this research was to study the physiological characters of IPB 4S rice varieties on planting media with different drought stress levels using plant growth analysis. This research used a non-factorial completely randomized design with 6 levels of water percentage from field capacity, namely field capacity, 10% of field capacity, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50% of field capacity. The treatment was repeated three times so that there were 18 experimental units. Observation of plant growth analysis was carried out by measuring leaf area and plant dry weight at 3 and 8 days after planting. Drought stress 20-50% of field capacity has a net assimilation rate, leaf area index, and plant growth rate 8 weeks after planting lower than drought stress at field capacity up to 10% of field capacity. In general, an increase in drought stress by 20-50% results in a decrease in net assimilation rate, plant growth rate, and leaf area index of 8 weeks after planting. This shows that the IPB 4S variety of rice plants has tolerance to drought stress up to 10% of the field capacity

    Today's consumer tastes tend to choose products that are safe and healthy. However, farmers continue to make efforts to more efficiently utilize feed and have good health. This study aims to determine the effect of phytobiotic administration on drinking water on the efficient use of feed and body weight gain of Kampung Unggul Balitnak (KUB) chickens with different concentrations. Phytobiotics used are a combination of extraction of medicinal plants, namely moringa leaves, aloe vera leaves, betel leaves, papaya leaves, and lemongrass leaves. Phytobiotic is given to drinking water. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which was repeated three times with three levels of treatment (0 cc/l, 15 cc/l, 15 cc/l, and 20 cc/l drinking water). Analysis of variance shows that different concentrations have a very significant effect on the efficiency of feed use and have a significant effect on body weight gain of superior Balitnak chickens (KUB). Giving phytobiotics in drinking water with a concentration of 20 cc / l of drinking water can increase the efficiency of feed use (4.98 kg/head/week) and body weight gain of KUB chickens (0.84 kg/head/week)

    The research aims to determine the effect of the range of cut weight on the percentage of boneless chicken meat, using a Completely Randomized Design. Research material using 14 broilers were purchased from farmers by selecting chickens randomly according to the desired body weight range. The treatment were in the form of a classification of the weight range of cut, 851-1,850 g, 1,051-1,250 g, 1,251-1,450 g and 1,451-1,700 g. The observed variables were cutting weight, carcass weight percentage, boneless percentage, meat percentage, and bone ratio. The results showed that broiler cutting weight had a very significant effect (P<0.01) on the percentage of boneless. The greater of the weight of the cut means the greater percentage of boneless produced. Broiler cut weight did not have a significant effect (P>0.05) on the percentage of bone and bone meat ratio. It was concluded that the greater weight of the broiler cut showed the increase in the percentage of boneless chicken greater. This indicates the increased content of boneless meat produced

    Salah satu metode untuk mengurangi kekurangan unsur hara pada lahan yakni dengan menggunakan amelioran (pembenah tanah) dari kompos feses Walet sebagai sumber hara organik. Feses Walet memiliki potensi untuk menambah kandungan bahan organik pada lahan pertanian. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk melihat pengaruh kompos feses walet terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman bawang merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian, Peternakan dan Perikanan Universitas Muhammadiyah Parepare. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pola Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK). Perlakuannya berupa pemberian dosis kompos feses burung walet dicampur tanah dalam 3 taraf dan 3 ulangan, yaitu tanpa kompos feses walet atau kontrol, pemberian10 ton.ha-1, dan 20 ton.ha-1. Pengambilan sampel tanah dilakukan sebelum aplikasi dan setelah aplikasi. Sampel tanah diambil secara acak pada petak perlakuan lalu dikompositkan, kemudian dianalisis di laboratorium. Parameter pengamatan meliputi, Tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, produksi umbi, sedangkan pada status hara meliputi C-organik, N, P, K, pH dan Rasio C/N. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan pemberian kompos 20 ton.ha-1 memberi respon terbaik pada jumlah daun, tinggi tanaman dan produksi. Status hara sesudah pemberian kompos feses walet juga memberikan respon yang positif dengan adanya peningkatan hara, dan yang terbaik pada pelakuan 20 ton.ha-1

    Produktivitas padi semakin sulit ditingkatkan karena berbagai faktor sehingga pemerintah melakukan upaya peningkatan luas panen padi melalui pencetakan sawah baru. Hal ini menyebabkan terjadinya alih fungsi lahan di beberapa daerah, seperti alih fungsi dari lahan kakao ke lahan sawah di Kabupaten Luwu Timur. Lahan dialihfungsikan karena tanaman kakao tidak produktif lagi dan mengalami penurunan produksi bahkan hampir sama sekali tidak berproduksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis usahatani padi pada lahan sawah yang berasal dari  alih fungsi lahan kakao. Lokasi penelitian di Desa Jalajja Kecamatan Burau Kabupaten Luwu Timur. Populasi penelitian sebanyak 180 orang dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan stratified random sampling sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor produksi seperti lahan, benih, pupuk urea, pupuk phonska, pestisida, dan tenaga kerja secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap produksi padi pada lahan alihfungi lahan kakao. Secara parsial hanya 2 faktor produksi yang berpengaruh nyata yaitu benih dan tenaga kerja. Rata-rata pendapatan petani sebelum alih fungsi lahan sebesar Rp. 191.306,33 perbulan. Pendapatan ini meningkat setelah alih fungsi lahan menjadi sebesar Rp. 960.947,83. Hal ini menunjukkan alihfungsi lahan dari lahan kakao ke lahan padi sawah di Desa Jalajja Kecamatan Burau Kabupaten Luwu Timur dapat meningkatkan pendapatan petani

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi komoditas unggulan sektor pertanian dan penyebaran komoditas unggulan di setiap kecamatan yang ada di Kota Parepare. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik observasi yaitu dengan cara mengunjungi lembaga pemerintah yang mendokumentasikan kegiatan pembangunan bidang pertanian, dalam hal ini Dinas Pertanian, Kelautan dan Perikanan Kota Parepare dan Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Parepare. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder, yaitu data tentang data dokumentasi kinerja bidang pertanian di Kota Parepare. Metode analisis Location Quotient (LQ) digunakan untuk mengetahui potensi komoditas unggulan sektor pertanian di Kota Parepare dan analisis koefisien lokalita digunakan untuk mengetahui karakteristik penyebaran komoditas sektor pertanian di Kota Parepare. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komoditas unggulan pada sektor tanaman pangan adalah komoditas padi dan ubi kayu unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki Barat, Soreang dan Ujung; komoditas jagung unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki; dan komoditas kacang tanah unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki dan Bacukiki Barat. Kemudian komoditas unggulan pada sektor hortikultura seperti komoditas kangkung unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki Barat dan Soreang; komoditas cabe, terong, tomat, dan jambu air unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki; komoditas bayam dan nanas unggul di kecamatan Soreang dan Ujung; komoditas sawi unggul di kecamatan Ujung; komoditas mangga unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki dan Soreang; komoditas pisang dan pepaya unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki Barat dan Ujung; serta komoditas nangka unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki dan Bacukiki Barat. Sedangkan komoditas unggulan pada sektor peternakan terdiri dari komoditas sapi dan kuda unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki; komoditas kambing, ayam kampung dan itik unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki Barat, Soreang dan Ujung; dan komoditas ayam ras unggul di kecamatan Bacukiki Barat. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil Analisis Koefisien Lokalita secara keseluruhan diketahui tidak ada yang mencapai nilai diatas satu. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semua komoditas–komoditas dari semua sub sektor pada sektor pertanian tersebar disemua kecamatan dan tidak ada terkonsentrasi disatu kecamatan

    Soybeans play a very important role as a food ingredient due to their nutritional value and high protein content. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of price, population and per capita income factors on soybean demand in Bungo District and to analyze the elasticity of soybean demand in Bungo District. The selection of places in Bungo Regency as the object of research was carried out purposively (deliberately) with consideration of the location of the study as one of the soybean producing regions and also the area that used soybeans as raw material for industrial products. The method used in this research is descriptive method of describing the analysis of the analysis itself where the data was collected factually from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the Food Crops Office and the Bungo Regency Industry and Trade Service Office which were then tabulated for analysis. There is no joint effect between soybean price variable (X1), population (X2) and per capita income (X3) on soybean demand dependent variable (Y), and only free income per capita variable which has partial effect on demand dependent variable soybeans and price elasticity are elastic with a value of 1.93, while income elasticity is inelastic with a value of 0.52

    Daging ayam broiler tersedia cukup banyak terutama di Pasar Tradisional. Sayangnya, jenis daging ini sangat mudah terkontaminasi oleh mikroba yang mengakibatkan daging mudah rusak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cemaran mikroba dan nilai pH daging ayam broiler yang dijual di pasar tradisional Lakessi Kota Parepare. Penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola searah dengan pengambilan sampel sebanyak 3 kali dari 6 pedagang. Komponen pengamatan yang diamati adalah total mikroba dan nilai pH. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan total mikroba berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) rata-rata nilai total mikroba daging ayam broiler adalah 6x107. Nilai pH hasil penelitian tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05), rata-rata nilai pH daging ayam broiler di pasar tradisional parepare adalah 6,0. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah rata-rata total mikroba daging ayam broiler di pasar tradisional kota parepare di atas standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 7388:2009) yaitu 1,x106 CFU/gr. Sedangkan Nilai pH daging ayam broiler sudah sesuai dengan SNI

    The study aims to examine the protein digestibility and metabolic energy in boiled durian seeds as alternative feeds for broiler chickens. A total of 30 broiler chickens with body weight of 1,476.75 ± 21.15 g, durian seed flour, excreta container, and force feeding were used in this study. The study design used a comparative test (t-test) with each treatment filled 15 tails. The treatments applied included durian seed flour without boiling (T0), and durian seed flour with 30 minutes boiling (T1). The parameters measured were pure metabolic energy values and crude protein digestibility. Data were performed t-test at a probability of 5%. Based on the t-test results obtained that giving of durian seed flour singly by boiling for 30 minutes had a significant effect (P <0.05) on protein digestibility and metabolic energy in broilers. The conclusion were durian seed flour that was boiled for 30 minutes (T1) can increase metabolic energy, so that it can be an alternative source of energy in broiler chicken feed

    Fish protein concentrates a resulting product by removes fat and water, in high protein concentrations. Mostly this product is applied to food that gets tall carbohydrates. Making fish protein concentrate is to constitute development innovation forms easy protein to be applied to food product gets low protein. The use of by-products, for example, fish eggs as a source of protein for functional food has not been widely carried out. An understanding of the chemical characteristics of flying fish eggs is very important. Previous research on fish eggs has become the basis for researching the chemical characteristics of flying fish eggs. Information about the levels of fatty acids, amino acids, total carotenoids, and ?-tocopherols of flying fish eggs has not been done. This research was expected to help the utilization of these commodities optimally. The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of fatty acids, amino acids, total carotenoids, and ?-tocopherol eggs of flying fish. This study was divided into 2 phases. The first step was a characterization of flying fish eggs using proximate analysis, tocopherol analysis, amino acid, and fatty acid analysis. The second step was followed by making flying fish protein concentrate followed by organoleptic testing, proximate analysis and degree of white flour concentrate. The best results in the extraction solvent with isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for 3 hours and belongs to type b for concentrated protein egg fish. KPTI is generated has the ability absorption of water, oil, emulsion and capacity density of kamba is good for additional materials, substitution and binder material for application-based products for the food high-protein food. KPTI has the amino acids essential and non-essential was very beneficial to the body
