Karakterisasi Cendawan Rhizosfer pada Tegakan Mahoni di Hutan Pendidikan Universitas Hasanuddin
Soil fungi, which produce hormones that occupy the rhizosphere ecosystem, have roles as agents to promote plant growth. This study aims to isolate rhizosphere fungi in mahogany in the Experiment Forest of Universitas Hasanuddin, and identify the fungal isolates obtained based on morphological characters. The research began with rhizosphere soil sampling, isolation, and identification based on morphological characters. The rhizosphere microbial isolation on mahogany stands in the Unhas Educational Forest obtained 18 fungal isolates with varied morphological characteristics, both in colony color and elevation. Microscopic observations resulted in 4 genera, namely Rhizopus, Gliocladium, Trichoderma, and Aspergillus. The results showed that there were superior fungi isolates that could produce growth hormones and could be applied to forest plant seeds. The formula with these select fungi can give the seeds optimal growth in forest plant seeds

Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Kedelai (Glycine max L. Merr) pada Pemberian Pupuk Organik dan Cekaman Air
This research aims to study the effect of using organic fertilizers on the growth and yield of soybeans. Besides, to study the selection of the best types of organic fertilizers to increase the soil's ability to absorb water so that it can increase yield even in drought conditions. The research was carried out in the Faculty of Agriculture screen house, Indonesian Muslim University, Makassar, with the type of alfisol soil. The design used as factorial based on a randomized block design, which consisted of 2 factors. The first factor is the use of organic fertilizers, namely without organic fertilizers (P0), chicken manure (P1), Azolla compost (P2), and bokashi waste (P3). The second factor is the quantity of water supply, namely 350 mm/season (Al), 450 mm/season (A2), and 550 mm/season (A3). The results showed an interaction between the type of organic fertilizer and the amount of water supply on the total dry weight of the plant at harvest, the number of seeds, and the percentage of seed success. The enormous total dry weight of plants and the largest number of sources occurred in the combination of giving chicken manure and a water supply of 550 mm/season. Meanwhile, the highest percentage of seeds was in the variety of Azolla fertilizer treatment and water supply of 350 mm/season. The water supply treatment also significantly affects plant height, the number of leaves, and plants' total dry weight. Simultaneously, the yield components, namely the dry weight of seeds and the weight of 100 seeds with a water supply of 550 mm/season produced the best results
Kelayakan Investasi Produksi Keripik Udang (Litopenaeaus vannamei) Menggunakan Penggorengan Vakum
Investment feasibility studies are needed to determine whether a business is feasible or not to run. The shrimp chips industry utilizes shrimp raw materials which are available quite a lot in the market. Vacuum frying is a frying process at low temperatures and pressures lower than atmospheric pressure to produce healthy and high-quality food. The research objective was to determine the feasibility of investing in shrimp chips resulting from vacuum frying and to determine the sensitivity of changes in raw material input and profit deficits. The results of the investment feasibility analysis with an interest rate of 20% using a vacuum fryer with a capacity of 6 kg per process are feasible to run according to the investment feasibility analysis parameters, namely Net Present Value (NPV) IDR 119,535,863.15; Net B/C 1.94; Payback Period (PP) 1 year 9 months; Break Event Point (BEP) for IDR 211,041,152.22 and Break Event Point (BEP) for production of 703 kg. The results of the sensitivity analysis to raw material input if it increases by 10%, the investment is feasible except for the Net B/C parameter (0.26) or less than 1, and the sensitivity analysis to profits if it decreases by 10%, indicates that the investment is not feasible to run

Kualitas Organoleptik dan Mikrobiologis Daging Domba Menggunakan Ekstrak Pangium Edule Terhadap Masa Simpan
Pangium edule or keluwak is a local spice that can extend the shelf life of livestock products because it contains antimicrobial compounds. This study aimed to determine the effect of marination using Pangium edule on the microbiological and organoleptic quality of lamb. This study used a factorial completely randomized design to treat Pangium edule concentration and shelf life of 3 replications each. Lamb meat was marinated using Pangium edule extract 0%, 3%, 6%, and 9%, then stored at 12 hours, 24 hours, and 36 hours at room temperature. The results showed that the longer the meat's shelf life, the microbial growth also increased, but marination using Pangium edule resulted in lower microbial growth than without treatment. The treatment of lamb marination with 3% and 6% Pangium edule extract showed the lowest microbes and was very significantly different from lamb without treatment for 36 hours. Its means that the antibacterial compound in Pangium edule can inhibit microbial growth and is still by the standards set by SNI compared to the control. Marination using Pangium edule extract during the shelf life also significantly affected the panelists' acceptance level, namely aroma, taste, tenderness, and color. Organoleptic scores, namely smell, taste, tenderness, and color at 6% to 9% with a shelf life of 36 hours, are still in a fairly good range. Marination using Pangium edule 6% can maintain the microbiological and organoleptic lamb quality for 36 hours
