Telaah Metodologi Penafsiran Imam al-Syaukānī dalam Kitab Tafsir Fatḥ al-Qādir
This article will discuss the methodology of interpreting Imam al-Syaukānī in the book Fatḥ al-Qādir. This discussion is important to study, because even though al-Syaukānī is Shia Zaidiyah, according to some literatures, he says that his interpretation has a broad-minded explanation to answer the problems that exist today. The type of research used in this article is library research, while the method is descriptive-analytic. Thus, the results of this study conclude that the methodology of interpretation of al-Syaukānī in the book of Fatḥ al-Qādir is based on the tahlili interpretation method, which is to interpret the verse globally according to the order of the manuscripts, then explain the asbāb al-nuzūl, suggesting about the privileges of a surah and the place of descent, stating the differences from the Ahl al-Qira\u27at by using Lugah knowledge, explaining Nasikh wa al-Mansukh, performing tarjih from a number of points of view, explaining the legal meaning of the verse, and of course also explaining the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad., Friends, Tabi\u27in, and Tabi\u27 Tabi\u27in
Who Moved My Sanad? - Another History of Isnād in the Transmission and Conveyance of Ḥadīth and Sunnah.
This paper investigates the beginning of a phenomenon observed amongst later ḥadīth compilers that is the omission of sanads from some of their works dedicated to conveying the ḥadīths of Prophet Muḥammad. Some of them produced another specific work to present the ḥadīths with sanads and others may resort to compiling only sanads in their thabat or records of ijāzāt and samāʿāt (audition certificates). This phenomenon speaks volumes about the authority of sanad and isnād in later Muslim intellectual tradition. Since many modern studies have mostly accorded its attention to the dating and function of isnād methodology, and expectedly of the formative periods of Islam, the study of sanad omission from a ḥadīth treatise has been completely neglected although it should have been examined carefully, in particular on the reception of and responses to the phenomenon amongst the scholars of ḥadīth. This paper argues that the Egyptian judge, Muḥammad ibn Salāmah al-Quḍāʿī (454AH) shall be recognised as the first ḥadīth scholar to produce a ḥadīth treatise whose ḥadīths are not accompanied by sanad. He dedicated another work to preserve its sanads and by so doing, introduced the mujarrad-musnad method into ḥadīth literature. His mujarrad collection titled Shihāb al-Akhbār gained incredible praise and became one of the most memorised works of ḥadīth. The method of mujarrad has also been emulated by other eminent ḥadīth scholars such as al-Daylamī and al-Nawawī and contributed to the successful dissemination of ḥadīths in later Muslim communities

The opinion that the maqāṣidi interpretation is only intended for paragraphs of law should not be correct. The method of maqāafsidi interpretation can also be applied to the verse of the story for the side of \u27ibrah (lesson) contained in the al-Qur\u27an. Hermeneutics of the Qur\u27an with its characters, namely Abu Zayd, Ali Harb, Arkoun, Hasan Hanafi, Syahrur, Khaled Abou el-Fadl, and Abdullah Saeed, has a hermeneutic method from the point of view of different theories and approaches. Radikalisasi Makna Jihad di Era Modern: Studi Kasus Penafsiran QS. Al-Taubah: 73 Menurut Sayyid Qutb dan Abu A’la al-Maududi

Their interpretation is very important because their thinking is an important reference in the current discourse of Jihad. With the descriptive-analytic method, the writing answers how the two Muslim thinkers interpreted the term jihad in the verse which supports the spirit of their respective da\u27wah movements in Egypt and Pakistan. This paper finds that the second author in interpreting the term jihad by the objective circumstances of their respective life contexts, Sayyid Qutb was influenced by the fact that some Muslims dealt with rulers who were considered dholim, and Egypt as a country is in a war conflict with Israel, as well as the resistance of some Muslim scholars including himself who are critical of the West. Meanwhile, Abul A\u27la Mawdudi was faced with the filling of the newly established Pakistani state, where he and his colleagues was founded political parties that were in the spirit of Islam. More than that, his romanticist attitude towards the early period of the Muslim community was used as a manhaj in understanding the messages of the Qur\u27an
