Millennials, FOMO, and the Qur’an: A Spiritual Response to a Modern Anxiety
This study examines how the culture of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) influences the tendency of millennials to become addicted to social media. As the number of internet users in Indonesia increases, especially among millennials, social media addiction has become a problem that negatively impacts the anxiety and mental health of this generation. The leading cause of growing anxiety and weakening self-confidence in social media addiction situations is FOMO, which is triggered by seeing other people\u27s lives on social media. This article outlines at least four strategies for developing positive social media habits, including prioritizing yourself, avoiding excessive use, seeking genuine connections, and increasing self-esteem. It is hoped that these steps will help millennials overcome the negative impacts of social media addiction and FOMO, and create a positive social media culture based on the ideals of the Qur\u27an. This study tells us all about the importance of understanding the negative impacts of social media addiction, especially in the context of FOMO culture, and the need to change behavior to maintain mental health and balance in the lives of the younger generation
Tafsir Hadits al-Dārimī no.254 tentang Peran Holistik Pendidik dalam Pendidikan Islam Abad 21
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran holistik pendidik dalam pendidikan Islam abad ke-21 berdasarkan tafsir kontekstual terhadap Hadis al-Dārimī no. 254. Hadis tersebut menegaskan tiga posisi utama dalam lingkaran keilmuan: sebagai cendekiawan (‘ālim), pembelajar (muta‘allim), dan pendengar (mustami‘), yang memiliki relevansi tinggi dalam membentuk karakter pendidik kontemporer. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan mixed methods dengan desain convergent parallel, menggabungkan takhrij hadis dan analisis dokumen (kualitatif), serta analisis statistik media sosial tiga akun Instagram tokoh dakwah digital: @adihidayatofficial, @hanan_attaki, dan @santri_gusdur (kuantitatif). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing tokoh merepresentasikan salah satu dari tiga peran holistik pendidik, baik melalui konten edukatif, gaya komunikasi, maupun respon audiens digital. Integrasi data menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai Islam klasik dapat diaktualisasikan secara efektif dalam strategi pendidikan berbasis media sosial, menciptakan ruang pembelajaran yang lebih reflektif, partisipatif, dan relevan dengan kebutuhan generasi digital. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis terhadap pengembangan model pendidikan Islam berbasis hadis, sekaligus implikasi praktis dalam penguatan kurikulum PAI dan strategi dakwah digital. Namun, ruang lingkup penelitian ini masih terbatas pada tiga akun sebagai sampel studi, sehingga penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk melibatkan lebih banyak platform dan aktor pendidikan digital lainnya guna memperluas generalisasi hasil
Menelaah Pandangan Para Mufasir terkait Kisah Nabi Ibrahim dalam QS. Al-Baqarah ayat 260 dan Implikasinya bagi Pendidik serta Peserta Didik
Penelitian ini bertujuan menggali pandangan mufasir dalam Q.S. Al-Baqarah ayat 260 dan implikasinya terhadap pendidik dan peserta didik. Pendidik dan Peserta didik merupakan komponen yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dalam proses pendidikan. Al-Quran sebagai pedoman hidup dalam hal ini telah mengisyaratkan adanya konsep pendidik dan peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengkaji Q.S. Al-Baqarah ayat 260 dari rujukan enam kitab tafsir sebagai referensi utama dan jurnal serta referensi lainnya sebagai referensi sekunder. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ayat tersebut mengindikasikan bahwasannya media pembelajaran harus dibuat dengan memperhatikan beberapa hal, yaitu: diawali dengan nama Allah, sebaiknya dilengkapi dengan identitas pemateri yang akan menyampaikan, adanya isi materi pelajaran yang mengajarkan kebaikan, menggunakan konten yang indah, tertata rapi, isinya singkat dan jelas, menggunakan bahasa yang lemah lembut, tidak diiringi cercaan atau cacian, menarik perhatian, dan tidak diiringi dengan muatan materi yang melukai orang yang melihatnya. siswa dalam proses pembelajaran perlu mengarahkan dirinya menuju Allah SWT, mengedepankan adab, dan mengeksplor rasa ingin tahu yang ada. Selain itu, ayat tersebut mengandung isyarat bagi guru dalam proses pendidikan hendaknya menumbuhkan rasa ingin tahu peserta didik, menumbuhkan suasana kelas yang nyaman untuk bertanya, menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang tepat, dan mengarahkan proses pembelajaran untuk mencapai Ridha Allah SWT
An Examination of the Role of the Companions in Early Hadith Forgery
The role that the Prophet\u27s companions played in the campaign to fake hadiths is investigated in this article. There are two competing opinions regarding the genesis of the appearance of fake hadith, while both agree that political factors are the fundamental trigger. According to the first opinion, since the beginning of Islam, there have been incorrect hadith. The first group of Muslims, the Companions of the Prophet, are the ones who are at fault. The majority of Western Revisionist academics, led by Goldziher and Schacht, agree with this viewpoint; non-mainstream Islamic scholars, such Ahmad Amin and Abu Rayyah, endorse it. On the other hand, mainstream Islamic scholars, led by Muhammad Mustafa Azami, disagree, citing the Companions’ justification (‘adalah al-sahabah). This article attempts to evaluate the arguments using the abductive method. Opinions that correspond to the data are taken, which are contrary to the rejection. It follows that the view that the Companions were complicit in the hadith’s falsification is the one that is more grounded in scientific evidence. Conversely, the viewpoints that dispute it are founded solely on the widely accepted Companions’ conception of justice, which is better described as dogma than actual scientific knowledge
Partial and Comprehensive Understanding: An Analysis of the Interpretation of the Ḥadīṡ of Riddah Punishment
Ḥadīṡ regarding the punishment of riddah is often debated because partial understandings tend to cause misunderstandings, such as the view that Islam does not provide freedom of religion. A partial understanding of the ḥadīṡ of riddah punishment is often considered contrary to the values of Islamic justice and creates a negative perception of Islamic teachings in modern society. This study aims to analyze the difference between partial and comprehensive approaches in understanding the ḥadīṡ about riddah punishment. Using a qualitative method based on library research, this study examines primary and secondary literature through a descriptive-analytical approach. The study results show that the partial approach tends to ignore other related ḥadīṡ, socio-historical contexts, and maqāsid asy-syarī’ah principles, resulting in rigid interpretations. Instead, a comprehensive approach emphasizes the importance of understanding ḥadīṡ in the context of maqāsid asy-syarī’ah, such as maintaining societal stability and religious freedom. This study recommends using a comprehensive approach to understanding the ḥadīṡ considered controversial, so their interpretation is more relevant to the principles of justice and humanity in Islam, especially in the modern era that upholds the value of freedom
Dampak Fanatisme Aliran Terhadap Pola Pemikiran Imam Al - Shawkani Dan Evolusi Studi Hadis Di Yaman Abad 19
Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengaruh fanatisme aliran dan taklid buta terhadap perkembangan studi hadis di Yaman pada abad ke-19,dengan fokus pada pemikiran Imam al-Shawkani. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan analisis historis, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana Imam al-Shawkani sebagai ulama saat itu merespons tantangan intelektual yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat Yaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fanatisme aliran dan taklid buta membatasi ruang bagi pembaruan ilmiah, namun Imam al-Shawkani berhasil mengatasi hambatan tersebut melalui pendekatan kritis terhadap hadis, dengan menekankan pentingnya analisis sanad dan matan. Karya-karyanya, seperti Nayl al-Awthar, memperkenalkan metodologi baru yang menghidupkan kembali studi hadis dan mempromosikan ijtihad sebagai cara untuk menghindari belenggu tradisi yang stagnan
Pendampingan Pengajaran Metode Tajwid Maisura pada Peserta Didik Kelas IX MTs Al-Barkah Sukabumi
This article aims to analyze the implementation of Maisura method teaching guidance for ninth-grade students at MTs Al-Barkah. The research method used is qualitative with a PAR (Participatory Action Research) approach. Data was obtained through interviews, documentation, and direct field research. This study found that ninth-grade students at MTs Al-Barkah experienced an improvement in the quality of their Quran reading after following the Maisura method teaching guidance. The Maisura method teaching by the Community Service Team (PkM) of STKQ Al-Hikam was conducted in a flexible and creative way, where the material was delivered in a relaxed and enjoyable manner to create a non-rigid learning atmosphere. The results of this study indicate that the Maisura method, which has been considered more suitable for advanced learners, can be used for beginners with some adjustments. The strategy implemented is simplifying the material and using creative analogies so that students can understand the concept of tajwid without feeling burdened by overly complex theory
Rethinking the Polemical Studies on Abu Hurayrah’s Transmitted Hadiths
After the Holy Quran, as the first book containing divine information, the Hadith is also the second sacred book. Abu Hurayrah was one of the most famous transmitters of the large Hadiths and has also attracted some criticism, leading to polemical studies on his transmitted Hadiths. Thus, this study aims to offer new insights into these seminal works. Furthermore, this study aims to rethink the critiques against Abu Hurayrah. The method of this study is qualitative, and the approach is argumentative and analytic. It relies on content analysis and analogical deduction. The results of the study show demonstrates that Abu Hurayrah really transmitted the large Hadiths due to his ascetic lifestyle. It shows that Abu Hurayrah transmitted nine Hadiths every day for the period of a year and nine months. It also proves that Abu Hurayrah and the other companions like him transmitted large Hadith without having a close relationship to the Prophet.
Tafsir Ilmi Perlindungan Lingkungan terhadap Ekologi dan Keadilan Lingkungan
Artikel ini memaparkan Tafsir ilmi dengan analisis secara mendalam mengenai tafsir perlindungan lingkungan terhadap ekologi dan keadilan lingkungan. Sumber data utama penelitian ini adalah berhubungan dengan tafsir ilmi dengan menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif dengan metode literature research. Data dikumpulkan melalui tema-tema ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an tentang perlindungan lingkungan dan dianalisis dengan pendekatan tafsir ilmi. Al-Qur’an merupakan kitab suci yang menyampaikan pesan-pesan maupun kandungan untuk masyarakat dalam kehidupan seharai-hari terutama terkait lingkungan hidup. Hasil penelitian ditemukan tafsir ilmi dalam Al-Qur’an mengenai perlindungan lingkungan. Tafsir ilmi dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat guna memahami secara mendalam terkait makna ayat tentang perlindungan lingkungan yang dapat diaplikasikan dan sebagai wujud nyata terhadap ekologi dan Keadilan Lingkungan.
Islamic Environmental Ethics and Waste-to-Energy Innovation: Insights from the Quran
Angelika Neuwirth\u27s intertextuality opens new insights into the Qur\u27an\u27s relationship with the Environmental sustainability is a fundamental concern in modern society, and Islam provides ethical guidelines for responsible environmental stewardship. This study explores the principles of Islamic environmental ethics derived from the Quran and their relevance to waste-to-energy (WTE) innovation as a sustainable waste management strategy. The Quran emphasizes khalifah (stewardship), mizan (balance), and israf (avoidance of wastefulness) as key ethical foundations for environmental conservation. From an Islamic perspective, the transformation of waste into energy aligns with the maqasid shariah (higher objectives of Islamic law) by promoting environmental protection a nd public welfare. This research also examines existing WTE initiatives in Muslim-majority countries, highlighting challenges and opportunities in integrating Islamic values into technological advancements. The findings suggest that Islamic teachings can serve as a moral and spiritual foundation for promoting WTE solutions, encouraging policymakers, religious scholars, and communities to adopt environmentally responsible practices. This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic environmental ethics and provides policy recommendations for sustainable waste management in Muslim societies.
