    Connectivity of graph easily can be given when we see it with the bare of eyes, but needs an algorithm that can assure the connectivity in computerization. Some graphs require the connectivity in their definitions, such as Hamiltonian graph, Eulerian graph and tree. The connectivity become important in order to solve any of graphs' problems by using computer technology. Most of the algorithm cannot run perfectly, if the graph which is given was not connected. It is happened to Djikstra and Prufer graphs for example. However, this study will provide the solution by modifying Prufer algorithm to show the connectivity in the graph

    ESRI ArcGIS Server is equipped with ArcGIS Server Web Application Development Framework (ADF) and ArcGIS Web Controls integration for Visual Studio.NET. Both the ArcGIS Server Manager for .NET and ArcGIS Web Controls can be easily utilized for developing the ASP.NET based ESRI Web mapping application. In this study we implemented both tools for developing the ASP.NET based ESRI Web mapping application for geospatial data generated dring rehabilitation and reconstruction process of post-tsunami 2004 disaster in Aceh province. Rehabilitation and reconstruction process has produced a tremendous amount of geospatial data. This method was chosen in this study because in the process of developing a web mapping application, one can easily and quickly create Mapping Services of huge geospatial data and also develop Web mapping application without writing any code.     Evaluation of Vegetables Shelf Life Using Multispectral Scattering Method

    This study was aimed to develop an algorithm based on the optical properties of some selected vegetables which can be used to evaluate shelf- life of some selected vegetables using multispectral scattering method. Multispectral algorithm will be developed to correlate light backscattering radiation of a vegetable with the level of shelf life conditions. The partial least square (PLS) regression models using three wavelengths were used to estimate the shelf life changes of the vegetable samples. The results showed that the developed multispectral scattering algorithms can be used to evaluate the shelf life changes of Chinese cabbage, carrot, chili, and cucumber using wavelengths at 880, 890, and 950 nm as the light sources respectively. The calibration and validation processes of the algorithm produced good accuracy measurements as represented by high R2 values and low Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). For the Chinese cabbage and the carrot samples, the algorithm was not effective to predict the changes of the shelf life because the responses was kept increasing even after the samples were dried and deteriorated. Also, the algorithms cannot be used to evaluate the shelf life changes of the onion because the calibration and validation processes produced low accuracy of measurements

    Termites were collected in June 2012 at residental area of Pt. Arun LNG by adopted casual collection and finding colony methods. Six species and four genera had been identified to belong to the higher termites (Kalotermitidae and Rhinotermitidae) and had been collected from different habitats throughtout the residential area. Those species randomly distributed which the highest species richness found at Tarakan (6 species). Residential condition with poor maintenance was contributes to inhabitant of the termites to harbour there. One of the most destructive species, Coptotermes curvignathus, has been found to attacking building as well as plants

    Antidiabetic Activity of Leaves Ethanol Extract Chromolaena odorata (L.) R.M. King on Induced Male Mice with Alloxan Monohydrate

    Chromolaena odorata or Tekelan has been used traditionally to cope with diabetes mellitus, but the scientific evidence as antidiabetic agent has not been previously reported. Therefore, it is necessary to test the antidiabetic activity using ethanol extract of the tekelan leaves in male mice induced by alloxan. Mice were induced intravenously by alloxan dose of 55 mg/kg bw. After 7 days, mice were diabetic ( KGD 200 mg/dL ) and were grouped into 6 groups: negative control group (only treated with CMC - Na) , positive control group (glibenclamide 0.45 mg/kg bw) and the 4 other groups were given ethanol extract of Tekelan leaves at doses of 5 , 25 , 125 and 250 mg/kg bw. Dosage administered for 28 days and blood glucose levels was checked every 7 days using a glucotest. Data were analyzed by one-way analysis of variation at 95% confidence level. Ethanol extract of tekelans leaves at doses of 5 , 25 , 125 and 250 mg/kg bw can lower blood levels from day 7 to day 28 and was significantly different compared to the negative control group ( p 0.05). Ethanol extract of tekelans leaves at doses of 5 , 25 , 125 and 250 mg/kg bw showed antidiabetic activity in alloxan-induced mice

    Free Fatty Acids Purification in Biodiesel with Utilizing Rice Husk Silica

    Silica particles had been successfully separated and extracted from rice husk by using solution of sodium hydroxides (NaOH) as solvent and were characterized with SEM-EDX. The data SEM-EDX showed that the extracted component of the rice husk contained 79,55% (w/w) of silica as the primary component. In order to understand the adsorption capacity of silica in removing free fatty acids (FFA) which were recognized as the contaminants in biodiesel., the profile of time dependence and silica amount in the adsorption process had been investigated in this study. The results indicated that the adsorption process showed optimum condition at 30 minutes with the free fatty acids (about 90,64%) of adsorption). Moreover, the adsorption capacity of silica to those impurities contaminated in biodiesel was proportional to the amount of adsorbent used in the experiment. Finally, biodiesel with less FFA was produced, and the FFA residues remained in the biodiesel were 0,58 mg/g

    Bioassay on n-Hexane Extract of Leaves Cassia alata against Candida albicans

    The study of biological activity from n-hexane extract of leaves Cassia alata had been done against Candida albicans as bioindicator. Dried leaves of C. alata (850 g) were macerated into n-hexane to obtain a dark green crude extract (31.79 g). The n-hexane crude extract was then subjected to vacuum liquid chromatography (VLC) and eluted with n-hexane and ethyl acetate to give 4 sub-fractions, namely fraction A (7.7251 g), fraction B (1.9419 g), fraction C (1.3565 g) and fraction D (1.4737 g) respectively. Based on phytochemical analysis, both nhexane crude extract and chromatographic sub-fractions contained steroids as their secondary metabolite constituent. The antifungal activity was tested against C. albicans using the agar-disc diffusion method with three different concentrations (10, 30 and 50%). Fraction D showed medium antifungal activity at 10.6, 11.3 and 12.6 of diameter-inhibition zones (mm) respectively

    Cissus quadrangularis Salisb is a medicinal plant which has been used traditionally to cure bone fracture by Acehnese. This study was carried out to investigate the administration effects of Cissus quadrangularis Salisb extract (CQSE) on the histology of lumbar bone in ovarectomized rats. There were 16 female rats (Rattus norvegicus) as samples and were then divided into 4 groups of treatment, with 4 replications each. K0 consisted of ovarectomized rats without CQSE supplementation, whereas K1, K2 and K3 consisted of ovarectomized rats administrated with 300, 500 and 700 mg/kg body weight CQSE for 60 days, respectively. On the day 61st, all rats were euthanized with chloroform and their fourth lumbal bones were collected for histological preparation. Parameters observed were densities of active osteoblast, passive osteoblast and osteoclast. The results of this study showed that density of active osteoblast of rats in K3 (27.25 2.75) was significantly higher (P0.01) than rats in K0 (1.75 1.25), K1(4.00 1.41), and K2 (8.50 7.40), respectively. There was no significant difference (P0,05) of passive osteoblast density among rats in K0 (16.50 6.13), K1 (41.00 6.48), K2 (44.50 16.34), and K3 (39.00 15.23). Osteoclast density of rats in K0 (85.25 25.91) was significantly higher (P0,05) than that of rats in K1 (52.50 16.66), K2 (51.00 7.16), and K3 (50.75 9.20). In conclusion, consecutive administration of 700 mg/kg body weight of CQSE extract for 60 days might increase active osteoblast density in ovarectomized rats

    Dimensionality of magnetotelluric transfer functions have been analyzed crossing the Sumatran Fault System at Aceh segment. The research was aimed to determine strike direction of the fault system using magnetotelluric transfer function data. We used Phoenix Geophysics MTU-5A equipment in range frequency 5A equipment in range frequency 0.86-320 Hz for data measurement. Collection of data was performed along two profiles with spacing between stations vary from 7 to 80 Km. The first profile started 94.5 Km from Aceh Jaya District and ended at Pidie District. The second profile started 16.5 Km from Aceh Jaya District and ended at Bireuen District.The data were analyzed by using Zhang et al. (1989) method to calculate Swift's skew and strike direction. Based on the calculation, we found that the Swift's skew values were generally less than 0.1, which were usually the overall structure of local and regional and they could be viewed as a 1D or 2D, and the values above 0.1 were considered as 3D effects or noises. Furthermore, the average strike has 0 or 90 angle. The data showed that geoelectrical strikes of both profiles were in agreement with the geological structure of the fault system. In order to get image of the 2D resistivity model of the area, we had inverted the magnetotelluric data showed that geoelctrical strikes of both profiles were in agreement with the geological structure of the fault system. In order to get image of the 2D resistivity model of the area, we had inverted the magnetotelluric data using MT2DinvMatlab (Lee et al., 2009). The model showed clearly position and depth of the fault lines along the profiles

    In urban areas, there is not only a heavy reliance on ground water as a primary drinking supply but is also as a supply of water for both agriculture and industrial uses. The reliance on ground water is necessary to ensure that there are significant quantities and high quality of water. Ground water resources at coastal urban forest in Banda Aceh were assessed by using VLF method. VLF techniques measured the perturbations in a plane wave radio signal (15-30 kHz) being emanated from one of several world-widde radio transmitters and was also used for submarine communications. Apparent resistivities and phases were measured along 340 m profile at the area. Two frequencies (27700 and 29000 Hz) were used in this measurement. The data were modeled by using 2D inversion code of Rebocc. The model showed clearly ground-water map of the subsurface. Based on the model, aquifer layers were indicated by low resistivities zones (40 400 -m). However, the ground-water resources in the area were dominated with high salinity water at depth under 140 m. Therefore, extended geophysical exploration methods werewater aquifer in the area to watering the forest
