The relationship between marketing and ecotourism in the commercialization of tourist products and services on the coast of Piauí.
Marketing is a fundamental area for tourism planning, it provides tools that allow you to monitor the dynamics of the tourism sector, and build an authentic image, through the creation of value and a brand corresponding to local desires. Occurrence and environmental risk assessment of 22 pesticides in Brazilian freshwaters.
Pesticide contamination in water resources is a global threat. Although usually found at low concentrations,
pesticides raise considerable toxicological concerns, mainly when mixtures are considered. The occurrence of 22
pesticides (2,4 D, alachlor, aldicarb, aldrin, atrazine, carbendazim, carbofuran, chlordane, chlorpyrifos, DDT,
diuron, glyphosate, lindane, mancozeb, methamidophos, metolachlor, molinate, profenofos, simazine, tebuconazole, terbufos, and trifluralin) was investigated, through consolidated database information, in surface
freshwaters of Brazil. Moreover, scenarios of environmental risk assessment considering isolated compounds and
mixtures were performed, as well as a meta-analytic approach for toxicity purposes. Pesticides in freshwater have
been reported from 719 cities (12.9% of Brazilian cities), where 179 (3.2%) showed pesticide occurrence above
the limit of detection or quantification. Considering cities with more than five quantified, 16 cities were prone to
environmental risks considering individual risks. However, the number increased to 117 cities when the pesticide
mixture was considered. The mixture risk was driven by atrazine, chlorpyrifos, and DDT. The national maximum
acceptable concentrations (MAC) for nearly all pesticides are higher than the predicted no-effect concentration
(PNEC) for the species evaluated, except aldrin. Our results show the need to consider mixtures in the environmental risk assessment to avoid underestimation and review MAC to protect aquatic ecosystems. The results
presented here may guide the revision of the national environmental legislation to ensure the protection of
Brazilian aquatic ecosystems
Miconazole-loaded nanoparticles coated with hyaluronic acid to treat vulvovaginal candidiasis.
Miconazole-loaded nanoparticles coated with hyaluronic acid (miconazole-loaded nanoparticles/HA) were developed to overcome the limitations of the conventional therapy of the vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC). They were synthesized by emulsification and solvent evaporation techniques, characterized by diameter, poly- dispersity index, zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency, atomic force microscopy (AFM), evaluated in terms of efficacy against C. albicans in vitro, and tested in a murine VVC model. Nanoparticles showed 211nm of diameter with a 0.32 polydispersity index, -53mV of zeta potential, and 90% miconazole encapsulation efficiency. AFM evidenced nanoparticles with a spherical shape. They inhibited the proliferation of C. albicans in vitro and in vivo after a single administration. Nanoparticles released the miconazole directly in the site of action at low thera- peutic doses, which was enough to eliminate the fungal burden in the murine VVC model. These systems were rationally designed since the existence of the HA induces their adhesion on the vaginal mucus and their inter- nalization via CD44 receptors, inhibiting the C. albicans. Therefore, miconazole-loaded nanoparticles/HA represent an innovative non-conventional pharmaceutical dosage form to treat the VVC and recurrent VVC
Ten principles for restoring campo rupestre, a threatened tropical, megadiverse, nutrient-impoverished montane grassland.
To achieve the ambitious goals of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, restoration frameworks should embrace the diversity of ecosystems found on Earth, including open-canopy ecosystems, which have been largely overlooked. Considering the paucity of scientific foundations promoting restoration science, policy, and practice for open tropical ecosystems, we provide overarching guidelines to restore the campo rupestre, a Neotropical, open megadiverse grassland that has been increasingly threatened by multiple human activities, especially mining. Restoration techniques for tropical grasslands are still at its infancy, and attempts to restore campo rupestre have had, so far, low to moderate success, highlighting the need for a tailored restoration framework. In a scenario of increasing degradation and scarcity of on-site restoration experiments, we propose 10 principles to improve our ability to plan, implement, and monitor restoration in campo rupestre: (1) include socioeconomic dimensions, (2) implement active restoration, (3) keep low soil fertility, (4) restore disturbance regimes, (5) address genetic structure and adaptation potential, (6) restore geographically restricted and specialized ecological interactions, (7) incorporate functional approaches, (8) use seed-based restoration strategies to enhance biodiversity, (9) translocation is inevitable, and (10) long-term monitoring is mandatory. Our principles represent the best available evidence to support better science and practice for the restoration of campo rupestre and, to some extent, can be useful for other megadiverse, fire-prone, and nutrient-poor ecosystems
Brechas sonoras : resistencias y recreaciones. Desgarrando sistemas político-culturales.
mentos sociais. Consideramos que as brechas sonoras esgarçam postulados
mentamos nossa reflexão principalmente no trabalho do historiador jesuíta

Unraveling the relationship between a tonalitic pluton and shear zones : insights from magnetic fabrics and microstructures of the Alto Maranhão batholith, Mineiro belt, southern São Francisco craton.
The Alto Maranhão batholith (SE Brazil) comprises granitic juvenile arc-related rocks within the Paleoproter-ozoic Mineiro Belt. The pluton is bounded by the NE-SW sinistral Jeceaba-Bom Sucesso (JBSZ) and NW-SE dextral Congonhas-Itaverava (CISZ) shear zones. Field, microstructural and magnetic fabric studies were employed in order to constrain its emplacement model and the spatial and temporal relationships between plutons and shear zones during Paleoproterozoic orogenic events. Combined meso- and microscale fabric analyses allowed us to individualize two different domains or lobes across the intrusion. The magmatic foliation, defined by biotite and hornblende, strikes NE-SW in the western lobe and rotates to NW-SE in the eastern lobe, moderately to steeply dipping, trending accordingly with the solid-state foliation exhibited by the country rocks. Field observations show that magmatic structures are preserved, such as elongated to rounded syn-magmatic enclaves and magmatic layering. The microstructures described for both domains are a direct record that deformation occurs locally and under magmatic conditions, with limited features of solid-state deformation such as undulose extinction in quartz and plagioclase on both tonalite and dioritic enclaves. AMS data exhibits dominantly steep magnetic lineations in the eastern lobe of the intrusion, except for sampling sites close to the CISZ, whose lineations are shallowly plunging. In both cases, the magnetic lineation trends NW-SE. Towards the western lobe, the magnetic lineation becomes horizontal and randomly oriented close to its westernmost tip. The magnetic and magmatic foliations follow the same orientation, therefore striking NW-SE in the eastern lobe and NE-SW in the west. Considering the batholith’s heterogeneities highlighted by the AMS measurements, we suggest that the eastern lobe of the intrusion is characterized as a feeder zone in which magma was injected along the CISZ, being subsequently spread into the pluton’s western lobe, until being stopped by a rheological barrier
defined by JBSZ and country rocks, controlling its boomerang-like form. The proposed emplacement model suggests that the Alto Maranhão batholith was emplaced in a contractional site, by arc-normal dextral simple shear revealing that transcurrent deformation was taking place concurrently with the growth of the São Francisco paleocontinent, and addition of mantle-derived magmas to the continental crust
