Motivasi Generasi Muda Dalam Memilih Pekerjaan
The motivation of the younger generation in choosing a job is experiencing a significant shift due to technological advancements, changing social values, and lifestyle transformation. Today, young people not only consider economic factors such as salary and job security but also prioritize work that aligns with personal interests, offers opportunities for learning and self-development, and provides meaningful contributions to society. This study aims to analyze the job motivation of young adults using a mixed-methods approach involving 80 respondents aged 18–35 years who are active students. Quantitative findings show that 70.4% of respondents emphasize the importance of social benefits from work, while 60.5% prioritize self-development as a crucial consideration in career decisions. Qualitative results further reveal that passion, mental-health-friendly work environments, and flexible time management are key aspects shaping their job choices. These trends illustrate that the younger generation tends to value intrinsic motivations and meaningful work over merely financial or formal job stability. The analysis refers to Max Weber’s theory of social action, which highlights that actions are driven by subjective meanings and personal interpretations of social situations. Weber categorizes social action into four types: instrumental rational action, value-oriented rational action, affective action, and traditional action. In relation to this study, job selection represents a conscious decision shaped not only by rational goals but also by values and emotional considerations held by individuals. Thus, young people's career preferences are not automatic responses to external stimulus, but thoughtful actions based on meaning, aspirations, and the desire for a fulfilling professional life.Motivasi generasi muda dalam memilih pekerjaan mengalami pergeseran signifikan seiring perkembangan teknologi, perubahan nilai sosial, dan gaya hidup. Generasi ini tidak hanya mempertimbangkan aspek ekonomi seperti gaji dan stabilitas kerja, tetapi juga mencari pekerjaan yang sejalan dengan minat pribadi, memberikan peluang pengembangan diri, serta memiliki makna sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami motivasi generasi muda dalam memilih pekerjaan dengan menggunakan pendekatan mixed method. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket kepada 80 responden berusia 18–35 tahun, yang terdiri dari mahasiswa aktif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja generasi muda bersifat kompleks dan multidimensional. Secara kuantitatif, 70,4% responden menyatakan pentingnya manfaat sosial dari pekerjaan, sementara 60,5% menilai pengembangan diri sebagai prioritas utama. kerja yang mendukung kesehatan mental, dan fleksibilitas waktu. Temuan ini menunjukkan adanya orientasi kuat terhadap nilai-nilai intrinsik dan kebermaknaan kerja. Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan teori Max Weber memperkenalkan teori tindakan sosial yang menekankan makna subjektif di balik perilaku individu. Ia membagi tindakan sosial menjadi empat kategori, yaitu tindakan rasional instrumental, rasional berorientasi nilai, afektif, dan tradisional. Dalam hal ini, tindakan sosial diartikan sebagai hasil dari pemahaman individu terhadap situasi sosial yang mengelilinginya, di mana pilihan dan pelaksanaan tindakan didasarkan pada tujuan, nilai, atau emosi yang dimiliki oleh pelaku. Tindakan manusia tidak dianggap sebagai reaksi otomatis terhadap rangsangan, melainkan sebagai perilaku yang memiliki makna yang dipahami oleh pelakunya.
Analisis Bibliometrik: Memetakan Lanskap Riset AI pada Studi Kasus Otitis Media dalam Perspektif Pierre Bourdieu
This study integrates bibliometric analysis, systematic scoping reviews, and sociological analysis to map the landscape of AI research in otitis media (OM) with a focus on social, cultural, and structural dimensions that are often overlooked. Using the Social Construction of Illness theoretical framework, this study reveals that the majority of AI innovations in OM diagnosis are dominated by a biomedical perspective that ignores patients' life experiences and the social structures that shape their disease journey. Of the 47 articles analyzed, only four studies discussed conversation-based AI applications, and only one considered the perspective of patients or families. This gap reflects the dominance of the technocratic-medical paradigm and neglect of health equity. Based on the gap analysis, this study proposes the development of an AI chatbot (INFO-OM) designed with user participation, cultural sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the social determinants of health as a methodological foundation for creating socially valid and inclusive health technology. This study adopts Pierre Bourdieu's sociological perspective on social capital to analyze how the distribution of AI knowledge in OM diagnosis reflects power structures in the health field. The analysis shows that access to AI technology as symbolic capital is concentrated in research institutions in developed countries, while communities with limited economic and cultural models, especially in Low and Middle Income Countries (LMICs), experience double exclusion from access to health services and from participation in the development of health technology.Penelitian ini mengintegrasikan analisis bibliometric, tinjauan lingkup sistematis, dan analisis sosiologis untuk memetakan lanskap penelitian AI dalam otitis media (OM) dengan focus pada dimensi sosial, budaya, dan struktural yang sering diabaikan. Menggunakan kerangka teori Konstruksi Sosial Penyakit (Social Construction of Illness), penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa mayoritas inovasi AI dalam diagnosis OM didominasi oleh perspektif biomedis yang mengabaikan pengalaman hidup pasien dan struktur sosial yang membentuk perjalanan penyakit mereka. Dari 47 artikel yang dianalisis, hanya empat penelitian yang membahas aplikasi AI berbasis percakapan, dan hanya satu yang mempertimbangkan perspektif pasien atau keluarga. Kesenjangan ini mencerminkan dominasi paradigma teknokratik-medis dan pengabaian terhadap ekuitas Kesehatan. Berdasarkan analisis kesenjangan, penelitian ini mengusulkan pengembangan chatbot AI (INFO-OM) yang dirancang dengan partisipasi pengguna, sensitivitas budaya, dan pemahaman mendalam terhadap determinan sosial kesehatan sebagai fondasi metodologis untuk menciptakan teknologi Kesehatan yang validitas secara sosial dan inklusif. Penelitian ini mengadopsi perspektif sosiologis Pierre Bourdie tentang modal sosial untuk menganalisis bagaimana distribusi pengetahuan AI dalam diagnosis OM mencerminkan struktur kekuasaan dalam Field Kesehatan. Analisis menjelaskan bahwa akses terhadap teknologi AI sebagai bentuk modal simbolik lebih terfokus pada institusi riset di negara-negara maju. Sementara itu, Masyarakat dengan kondisi ekonomi dan budaya yang terbatas, terkhususnya di negara- negara berpenghasilan rendah dan menengah (LMIC) mengalami pengecualian ganda, baik dalam mendapatkan layanan kesehatan maupun dalam keterlibatan mereka dalam pengembangan teknologi kesehatan.
Proses Simbolik Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Motif Batik Wirausaha Batik “Nimas Sekarsari” Gandusari Kabupaten Blitar
Changes in consumer behavior require marketers to implement integrated marketing communication (IMC). The existence of the role of symbolic interaction in marketing communication is currently very important in the perception of batik consumers. The purpose of this study is to describe Symbolic Processes in Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) of Batik Motifs Typical of Blitar Regency in Batik Entrepreneur Nimas Sekarsari Gandusari Blitar Regency. This research method is descriptive qualitative, examining the marketing communication process carried out by Batik Nimas Sekarsari Gandusari, Blitar Regency. Data collection methods include interviews, documentation, observation, and literature review. Purposive sampling is used to determine informants in interviews based on predetermined criteria. The results of this study indicate that the marketing communication in attracting consumer interest, and in order to maintain the reputation and image in the business world, include: Advertising as a way to maintain its existence in the community. Batik Nimas Sekarsari Blitar Regency also utilizes events in Blitar Regency through direct marketing activities and sales promotions to attract more consumers. Then, personal selling is carried out by Batik Nimas Sekarsari Blitar Regency through collaboration with institutions, agencies, and the government to open up opportunities to develop its business. The role of symbolic interaction in marketing communication is currently very important in consumer perception. Transaction activities between sellers and buyers are carried out on Instagram social media and also directly or face-to-face from Batik Nimas Sekarsari, Gandusari, Blitar Regency.Pergantian keinginan pasar oleh konsumen menuntut pemasar untuk menerapkan komunikasi pemasaran terpadu Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC). Keberadaan peran interaksi simbolik dalam benak konsumen batik menjadi fokus permasalahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses simbolik dalam komunikasi pemasaran terpadu Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Motif Batik Khas Kabupaten Blitar pada Pengusaha Batik Nimas Sekarsari Gandusari Kabupaten Blitar. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, mengkaji interaksionalisme simbolik pada komunikasi pemasaran Batik Nimas Sekarsari Gandusari Kabupaten Blitar. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, dokumentasi, observasi, dan kajian pustaka. Purposive sampling digunakan untuk menentukan informan dalam wawancara berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Hasilnya komunikasi pemasaran dalam menarik minat konsumen dan agar dapat mempertahankan reputasi dan citra di dunia usaha antara lain: iklan sebagai salah satu cara untuk mempertahankan eksistensinya di masyarakat. Batik Nimas Sekarsari Kabupaten Blitar, event-event di Kabupaten Blitar dengan pemasaran langsung dan promosi penjualan agar dapat menarik lebih banyak konsumen. Kemudian personal selling yang dilakukan oleh Batik Nimas Sekarsari Kabupaten Blitar melalui kerjasama dengan lembaga, instansi, dan pemerintah untuk membuka peluang dalam mengembangkan usahanya. Kegiatan transaksi antara penjual dan pembeli dilakukan di media sosial Instagram dan juga secara langsung atau tatap muka dari Batik Nimas Sekarsari, Gandusari, Kabupaten Blitar
Analisis Bibliometrik Modal Sosial dalam Konteks Pembangunan Berkelanjutan di Indonesia
This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of social capital in the context of sustainable development in Indonesia. This study covers scientific publications from 2020 to 2025 using bibliometric data obtained from the Scopus database. The analysis included visual mapping of keyword networks, identification of key research trends, leading researchers, and linkages between themes such as community, policy, economic growth, and environment. The findings show that social capital is closely linked to strategic issues such as community participation, governance, and multi-stakeholder collaboration in supporting sustainability. This research is expected to contribute significantly to developing academic discourse and policy practice on social capital-based sustainable development in Indonesia
Makna Simbolik pada Tradisi Cheng Beng di Kompleks Perkuburan Sentosa Kota Pangkalpinang
This study aims to uncover the symbolic meanings embedded in the Cheng Beng tradition practiced by the Chinese community at the Sentosa Cemetery Complex, Pangkalpinang City. Cheng Beng is an annual ritual involving various activities such as cleaning graves, offering food and drinks, praying, and burning symbolic paper. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study employed in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection methods. Symbols such as incense, candles, five-color paper, spirit money, and food offerings carry profound meanings. Cleaning graves symbolizes respect for ancestors, candles represent spiritual enlightenment, and collective prayers signify gratitude, family solidarity, and hopes for ancestral protection. Beyond honoring ancestors, the tradition strengthens family bonds, preserves Chinese cultural values, and educates younger generations about the importance of filial piety. By employing the symbolic interactionism perspective, this research finds that symbolic meanings are constructed through social and cultural interactions within the Chinese community. The findings affirm that Cheng Beng is a spiritual ritual and a medium for preserving cultural identity, fostering family relationships, and maintaining community solidarity amidst modernization challenges. This tradition reflects the Chinese community's enduring values of respect, unity, and cultural heritage
Mengurai Mitos Perundungan terhadap Disabilitas (Analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes dalam Film “Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda?”)
This study aims to analyze the myth of bullying experienced by the main character in the film “Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda?” through Roland Barthes’ semiotic approach. The film portrays the life of Angel, a girl with a hearing disability, who frequently faces discrimination and bullying from her surroundings. This analysis applies Barthes’ concepts of denotation, connotation, and myth to uncover the hidden meanings behind the visual and narrative signs in the film. The findings reveal that the bullying of Angel is represented through various signs that indicate injustice, negative stereotypes, and the marginalization of people with disabilities. Denotatively, the signs in the film directly depict bullying, such as mockery and social rejection. The connotative meanings of these signs highlight the fear, sadness, and struggles the main character faces in confronting stigma. At the level of myth, the film both reproduces and challenges various social myths related to disability. Four central myths are identified: (1) persons with disabilities are portrayed as weak and objects of pity, (2) the belief that they do not need equal opportunities and recognition, (3) the dominance of power that determines their fate, and (4) the use of emotional expression, such as anger, as a means of social control. This study concludes that “Ayah, Mengapa Aku Berbeda?” is not merely a story of struggle, but also a form of social critique of the bullying still commonly experienced by people with disabilities.
Social Practices of Affiliates in the Digital Economy Era (Study on Shopee Affiliates on Social Media Instagram)
The development of the digital economy has given rise to various new practices, one of which is the affiliate program offered by e-commerce platforms such as Shopee. The phenomenon of Shopee Affiliate, as one of the forms of the digital economy that is growing rapidly in Indonesia, cannot be separated from the social dimensions that underlie it. Although it appears to be an individual and pragmatic practice, Shopee Affiliate contains complex social dynamics. Therefore, this study aims to understand this phenomenon by applying Pierre Bourdieu's social practice theory approach to analyze how habitus, forms of capital, and the digital realm shape and reproduce affiliated practices among the general public. A qualitative-descriptive approach was employed in this study, involving 18 informants selected through the purposive sampling method and supplemented with literature reviews. This study demonstrates that participation in Shopee Affiliate is not merely a rational economic choice but a social practice shaped by social structure, digital habits, and access to capital
Edukasi Pendekatan Sosial Berbasis Ekologis dan Ekonomi Pada Pelestarian Lamun di Kawasan Taman Wisata Perairan Bintan Kecamatan Gunung Kijang
This article discusses the importance of educating ecologically and economically based social approaches in seagrass conservation in Taman Wisata Perairan Bintan, Kecamatan Gunung Kijang. The problems raised are the low awareness of the community on the importance of seagrass ecosystems and the effectiveness of the approaches used in conservation. This study aims to analyze and compare the effectiveness of ecological and economic approaches in involving coastal communities in seagrass conservation. The method was descriptive with a qualitative approach, including in-depth interviews to understand the community's views. The results show that the economic approach is more effective in encouraging community participation, with financial incentives increasing their awareness and involvement. In contrast, the ecological approach still faces challenges due to the community's low understanding of the long-term benefits of seagrass conservation. Combining these two approaches is proposed to achieve more optimal results in marine ecosystem conservation.
Hibriditas Identitas Budaya Wayang Pada Film Made In Bali Karya Johar Prayudhi
This research reviews the Hybrid of Wayang Cultural Identity in the Movie Made in Bali, Work of Art by Johar Prayudhi, by observing the cultural transformation of Balinese wayang as a mixture of two cultures (Balinese and Japanese). The main artist is Made, a young player inheriting ancient tradition before the dilemma of defending traditional values versus accepting other cultural influences presented by Niluh, a friend of his with mixed Balinese and Japanese blood. This movie represents the negotiation process of cultural identity within the context of modernization and globalization. This research uses a qualitative approach through descriptive method as well as a visual ethnographic strategy. Analysis is based on the theory of Hybrid Homi K. Bhabha covering the Ambivalent concept, Mimicry, Third Space, and Metonymy of Presence. The outcome demonstrates that the Balinese wayang is not illustrated as traditional art, but also as a dynamic hybrid medium, so as to allow new identity formation through cultural exchange interaction. Hence, Made In Bali demonstrates that cultural identity is liquid, contextual, and negotiable. This research presents a contribution to the local cultural reviews through creative innovation in the globalization era.Penelitian ini mengkaji hibriditas identitas budaya wayang pada film Made In Bali karya Johar Prayudhi dengan menyoroti transformasi seni pertunjukan wayang Bali sebagai hasil pertemuan dua budaya (Bali dan Jepang). Tokoh utama Made, seorang dalang muda pewaris tradisi leluhur menghadapi dilema antara mempertahankan nilai-nilai adat dan menerima pengaruh budaya luar yang dibawa oleh Niluh, sahabatnya berdarah campuran Bali dan Jepang. Film ini merepresentasikan proses negosiasi identitas budaya dalam konteks modernisasi dan globalisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif serta strategi etnografi visual. Analisis didasarkan pada teori Hibriditas Homi Kharshedji Bhabha, meliputi konsep Ambivalensi, Mimikri, Ruang Ketiga, dan Metonimi Kehadiran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa wayang Bali tidak hanya digambarkan sebagai warisan tradisional, tetapi juga sebagai medium hibrid yang dinamis sehingga memungkinkan pembentukan identitas baru melalui interaksi lintas budaya. Dengan demikian, Made In Bali memperlihatkan bahwa identitas budaya bersifat cair, kontekstual, dan terus dinegosiasikan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada kajian pelestarian budaya lokal melalui inovasi kreatif di era globalisasi
Hambatan Komunikasi Mamak Dengan Kemenakan Melalui Media Sosial Whatsapp
Mamak in matrilineal societies in Minangkabau hold a prominent position as the person responsible for the main family and their family of origin, including their nephews and nieces. This role is not limited to that of an uncle, but also as a leader and guardian of family heirlooms. However, this role cannot be optimally performed by mamak who live far from their homeland. Social media has become an alternative for mamak to maintain communication, preserve relationships, foster family traditions, and provide attention to their nieces and nephews. However, virtual communication poses obstacles for mamak to perform their roles optimally. This study uses descriptive qualitative research. The technique for determining informants is purposive sampling with 7 informants who are migrants. The results of the study show that the obstacles found are ineffective emotional closeness and interaction with nieces and nephews, adaptation from conventional to virtual communication makes it difficult for mamak to use social media, internet networks that are sometimes unstable, and limited internet quota costs. In this virtual communication, these obstacles affect social symbols and emotional closeness that can be interpreted and translated in direct interactions to maintain family relationships with nieces and nephews.Mamak dalam masyakat yang menganut sistem matrilineal di Minangkabau memiliki kedudukan utama sebagai orang yang bertanggung jawab terhadap keluarga utama maupun keluarga asalnya, termasuk pada kemenakannya. Peran tersebut tidak hanya sebatas paman, namun juga sebagai pemimpin, penjaga harta pusaka, namun hal ini tidak dapat optimal dilakukan dalam kondisi mamak yang tinggal diperantauan karena berada jauh dari daerah asalnya. Media sosial menjadi alternative bagi mamak untuk tetap dapat berkomunikaasi, menjaga hubungan, membina tradisi keluarga dan memberikan perhatian pada kemenakan. Akan tetapi, komunikasi via virtual memiliki hambatan untuk mamak dapat menjalankan perannya dengan maksimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik penentuan informan purposive sampling dengan 7 informan perantau. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hambatan yang ditemukan yaitu kedekatan emosional dan interaksi dengan kemenakan yang tidak efektif, adaptasi peralihan dari komunikasi konvensional ke virtual menjadikan mamak kesulitan dalam menggunakan media sosial, jaringan internet yang kadang kala tidak lancar dan biaya kuota internet yang terbatas. Dalam komunikasi virtual ini hambatan tersebut mempengaruhi simbol-simbol sosial dan kedekatan emosional yang dapat dimaknai dan diterjemahkan dalam interksi secara langsung untuk menjaga relasi kekeluargaan dengan kemenakan.
