下顎骨にみられる正中舌側孔の数と大きさ
application/pdfIn the observation of the median lingual foramina and the small foramina on the internal surface of the mental rigion of the mandible of 141 Indians, the following results were obtained: 1. The number of the foramina on the right side of the mental region was most frequently observed only one in 35%, followed by absent in 27% and two in 26% of those examined. The greatest number was 6, with the average of 1.30. Similar results were obtained on the left side. In the midline, the foramona were two in 40%, three in 34%, while absent was found 1.4%. The greatest number observed was 6, with the average of 2.48. 2. The foramina of the mental rigion were most frequently observed midline (98.6), lower part of the central incisor of the right side in 52%, and the lower part of the lateral incisor of the right side in 20%. 3. The foramina on the midline of the mental rigion were most frequently obserbed the upper third (superior median lingual foramen) in 95%, the middle third (middle median lingual foramen) in 40%, and the lower third (inferior median lingual foramen) in 79%. 4. The diameters of the foramina on the right side of the mental region were most frequently observed 0.15 mm in 38%, followed by 0.25 mm in 36%. The lagest size observed was 0.75 mm, with the average of 0.26 mm. Similar results were obtaind on the left side. 5. The diameters of the foramina on the lower part of the canine were lagest on the right side of the mental region, with an average size of 0.35mm. The foramina on the lower part of the central incisor were smallest in diameter, with the average of 0.24 mm. 6. The diameters of the superior median lingual foramen were especially large, most frequently observed 0.65 mm in 28%, followed by 0.55mm in 20%. 塩化第二水銀のラット肝薬物代謝酵素に対する作用
application/pdfThe effect of mercuric chloride on drug-metabolizing enzymes in rat liver was studied in vivo and in vitro. In the in vitro study, when mercury was added to the incubation mixtures, all enzymes were inhibited. Fifty per cent inhibitory rate was 52 ppm on aminopyrine demethylase, 72 ppm on aniline hydroxylase, 96 ppm on hexobarbital oxidase respectively. In the in vivo study, when rats were ingested mercuric chloride in their drinking water for a month, the quantity of drinking water was decreased against the increase of mercury concentration. Body weight and liver-body weight ratio were also decreased. The concentration of mercury in rat liver was increased in direct proportion to the each quantity of mercury ingestion. Aminopyrine demethylase, aniline hydroxylase and hexobarbital oxidase were all inhibited as well. The inhibition was stronger in vivo under the same mercury concentration.journal articl
歯科理工学実習で測定した印象材の性質に関する研究
application/pdfIn this report, it was described that the strain in compression loading at 1,000g/cm^2 and permanent deformation after the loading. These experiments were practiced by students on the course of dental technology, Matsumoto Dental College, in 1974, 1975 and 1976. Impression materials used for their experiments, were 8 kinds of products (Palgnex, AB-44, Algix S, Algace, Zelgan, Hi-Technicol, Fast set Technicol, Jeltrate) in alginate impression materials, 2 kinds of products (Excel, Surflex) in polysulfide rubber impression materials and 4 kinds of products (Coltex, Toshicon, Flexicon, De-Si-Cone) in silicone impression materials. Results were follows: 1. All of products used for these experiments, were satisfactory to the Japanese Industrial Standard and the American Dental Association Standard. 2. On alginate impression materials, the values of strain in compression and parmanent deformation, measured by students in each year, were slightly different from the values measured by authors respectively. 3. On elastomeric impression materials, strain in compression measured by students was larger than the values measured by authors, while permanent deformation was similar to the values by authors. But, every standard division of previous both measurements were larger than that of authors. 4. Strain in compression and permanent deformation of the products, such as Zelgan, Palgnex, Surflex, Toshicon and Flexcon, were obtained stable results for three years.journal articl
上顎小臼歯部に発現したPeripheral Odontogenic Fibromaの1症例
application/pdfAn epulis-like tumor was appeared in the upper left second premolar region of a 53-year-old man. Ordinary microscopy on the resected material revealed that the lesion consisted of a fibroma including many scattered epithelial nests resembling the epithelial rests of Malassez and a few calcified materials. The tumor was, therefore, diagnosed as a peripheral odontogenic fibroma, and thought to be originated from periodontal ligament because of its connection with the tumor and of the onset year. Electronmicroscopically, elongated cells were seen among the complicated collagen fibers and epithelial nests were resembled to basal cells of oral mucous membrane or epithelial rests of Malassez. This may be the fourth case of the tumor reported in Japan.journal articl
歯周疾患における歯周ポケットの診査
application/pdfThe measurment of pocket depth and the observation of shape and topography of pocket is the most important examination for diagnosis, prognosis and judgement of degree of periodontal disease. Therefore, the author discussed various informations, accurate examination and correct diagnosis for the treatment of periodontal pockets in this paper. Further the clinical applications of the electroperiography and a new pocket depth gauge to the periodontal pocket were performed and their characteristics were explained.journal articl
抜髄ならびに感染根管治療の臨床成績について
application/pdfA clinical endodontic study was done principally to know whether the techniques of pulpectomy and infected root canal treatment, which the authors employed routinely, were adequate or not. 379 root canals (273 teeth), which were treated endodontically in the undergraduate conservative clinic of the Matsumoto Dental College and observed over a period of from 6 months to 2.5 years, were evaluated clinically and roentgenographically. The results were as follows: 1. The root canals evaluated included 173 root canals of vital pulp extirpation cases and 206 infected root canals. Of 206 infected root canals, 80 infected root canals had no area of rarefaction, 70 infected root canals had well-defined areas of rare faction, and 56 infected root canals had diffuse areas of rarefaction. 2. 93.6% out of vital pulp extirpation cases, 92.5% out of the cases without areas of rare faction, 87.1% out of the cases with well-defined areas of rare faction, and 80.4% out of the cases with diffuse areas of rare faction were considered successful. It may be concluded that the techniques used on pulpectomy and infected root canal treatment, were adequate. 3. The cases filled in the range of the root apex to 0.5mm. short of the root apex, were 37.2% out of 379 root canals. Of 379 root canals, 22.4% were filled in the range of the root apex to 0.5mm. beyond the root apex. 19.8% out of 379 root canals were filled in the range of 0.5mm. to 1.0mm. short of the root apex. 4. On relation between clinical success and extent of root filling, the most successful cases were filled in the range of the root apex to 1.0mm. short of the root apex and of these cases, 97.0% (vital pulp extirpation), 95.1% (the cases without areas of rarefaction), 90.5% (the cases with well-defined areas of rare faction), and 81.8% (the cases with diffuse areas of rare faction) were successful. Overfilled cases were less successful. Underfilled cases of vital pulp extirpation and the cases without areas of rare faction, were successful as well as the cases filled in the range of the root apex to 1.0mm. short of the root apex. On the contrary, under filled cases with areas of rare faction were less successful. 5. It may be said that the larger than 5mm. the diameter of areas of rare faction were, the lower periapical healing. 6. The deta were analyzed statistically to know whether or not, the reliable healing could be determined in shoter period than 1 year. Statistical analysis of healing at 6 to 9 months recall and 1 to 2.5 years recall yielded significance (α=0.01 or 0.02). It could be concluded that 6 to 9 months were too early to determine reliable healing.journal articl
2回抽出法による血液中の局所麻酔剤の抽出とGas Chromatographによる分析
application/pdfIt has been thought important to study the concentration levels of the local anesthetics, because to which toxic symptoms induced by local anesthesia in the oral region is considered proportional. In the gas chromatographic studies for this purpose, it is necessary to refer to the method of extracting the local anesthetics in the blood plasma. We examined the two times extracting method, utilizing a peculiarity of that the local anesthetics being easily solved in organic solvent in alkaline solution and in water (aquaous layer) in acid solution. The specimen of blood containing local anesthetics was resolved with CCl_4 by stirring repeatedly with alkaline solution and acid solution. Consequently the peaks of the local anesthetics on the gas chromatogram (by GC-4BPTF, Shimadzu) showed that the mutual intervention of the organic substances in the blood was distinctly eliminated. The peak heights of the local anesthetics and the internal standard were measured and the ratios of them were compared with the control, and the regression lines were calculated. Thus the two times extracting method of the local anesthetics was confirmed to be valid in the gas chromatography.journal articl
学童期における第一大臼歯の健全歯と罹患歯の関係
application/pdfAlmost all reports of research on first molars have been studied concerning with dental caries prevalence for a long time. But we thought that the behaviors of sound teeth were more important than these of decayed teeth in public health practice. So we intended to survey the condition of sound teeth of first molars of schoolchildren using the finding of the periodic dental examination in 1973 under direction of school health act. First, the study covered 4,742 children selected from a total sample of about 181,000 individuals from Nagoya, the fourth largest city in Japan. And we investigated as follows: (1) Number of schoolchildren having all sound first molars, (2) Course from sound to decayed teeth of 4 first molars, (3) Prevalence condition of decayed first molars. The results of study were as follows: (1) Percentage of schoolchildren having all sound first molars was 40.2 in male and 29.3 in female at 9 years old. (2) The first decayed tooth of all first molars was found in the lateral side of mandibular and continued to the bilateral side. (3) About 50% of decayed teeth was the first stage of dental caries (enamel caries), but it is very difficult for examiners to make a diagnosis of these teeth. Consequently, it was shown that the criteria of diagnosis of decayed teeth affected the results of health statistics of teeth greatly.journal articl
