二態咬合を有するAngle Class IIの1治験例
application/pdfThis report presents a case of Angle Class II, Skeletal Class 2'malocclusion with dual bite. The patient showed congenital missing of upper left canine. After a treatment plan was determined position of condyle was confirmed with TMJ Cephalometric laminagraph. The case was one of maxillary growth control and extraction of upper right first bicuspid, and both lower first bicuspids was performed. The result showed correction of skeletal discrepancy and malocclusion, and good soft-tissue change. The patient mainteind stabilized occlusion after retention.journal articl
歯科材料・器械に関する日本工業規格,米国歯科医師会規格,及び國際規格の比較と推移
application/pdfStandard for dental materials and devices were specified in Japanese Industrial Standerd (JIS). Reviewing the present of international circulation for the products, the international standard (ISO) have to be evaluated as same as Japanese industrial standard. Furthermore, dental materials made in Japan were produced according as American dental associations specifications (ADAS) on friendly relationship of Japan to United States of America for recent 40 years. This review on the development of Japanese industrial standard for dental materials and devices were described on comparisons with International Standard and American dental associations specification.journal articl
支台歯の熱伝導解析 : 陶材溶着鋳造冠支台歯形成における唇面ショルダー幅および切縁削除量との関係
application/pdfA study was carried out on the thermal conductive effect of interpulpal temperature under thermal stimulus to vital teeth, by means of the 2-dimensional finite element method. The results obtained were as follows: 1) The temperature on the pulp horn requires the least amount of preparation for shoulder margin, and the largest amount of preparation for incisors. 2) The temperature elsewhere decreases as the amount of preparation for shoulder margin increases, and the amount increases in preparation for incisors. 3) The temperature on the part of labial cervical pulp clearly shows a wider amount of preparation for shoulder margin in comparison with the largest amount of preparaiton for incisors. 4) The temperature of the pulp horns were the lowest under all conditions.journal articl
印象材と石膏の組み合わせによる模型の精度
application/pdfCompatibility of five alginate impression materials with two dental plasters and five dental stones were evaluated for dimensional change, detail reproduction and surface roughness. The specimens were stored either in air (23℃±2℃, 60%±10% humidity) or in 100% relative humidity for 30, 60, or 120 minutes after impression was removed. The effect of environmental factors during setting was examined. Four elastomeric impression materials were also examined for comparison. The results obtained were as follows; 1. For impressions stored in air, there were significant differences in the dimensional change of cast in each product. However, there were few differences observed in 100% humidity. 2. Regarding dimensional change, the limit of sustained impression time was 30 minutes. 3. The detail reproduction was inferior with time passage after the impression was removed. 4. Surface roughness decreased with time passage. 5. The surface of casts of some impressions produced in 100% humidity were rougher than those produced in air. 6. It is generally said that to keep impressions in 100% humidity is the optimal method. However, some materials were not appropriate for this method. 7. Elastomeric impression materials were stabile in dimensional accuracy and detail reproduction up to 120 minutes. 8. Surface roughness of casts made from elastomeric impression material decreased with time passage.journal articl
全部鋳造冠装着歯の歯髄温度に関する熱伝導解析
application/pdfA thermal conductive analysis of pulpal temperature of cast restored teeth was conducted. The results obtained were as follows: 1) The conditions of the study were as follows: time was 0 sec and temperature 5℃. The temperature on the labial pulp horn of full cast crown dropped suddenly, and temperature on the labial pulp horn of natural tooth fell slowly. 2) When the next step was perforemed, time was 0 sec and temperature 70℃. The temperature on the labial pulp horn of full cast crown rose suddenly, and that of the natural tooth rose slowly. The same tendency was apparent. 3) Initially, this study was conducted at time of 0 sec and temperature 5℃. After 5.0 sec, when the surface temperature was 36℃, full cast crown reached the lowest temperature earlier than natural tooth, and the lowest temperature of full cast crown was lower than that of natural tooth. 4) Initially, this study was conducted at time of 0 sec and temperature 70℃. After 5.0 sec, when the surface temperature was 36℃, full cast crown peak the highest temperature earlier than natural tooth, and the peak temperature of full cast crown was higher than that of natural tooth.journal articl
RPAクラスプとRPIクラスプの臨床的考察
application/pdfThe reasons for difficulties involving the distal extension removable partial detures is their undue movement under the occlusal forces. The supporting structures in removable partial dentures (abutment teeth and residual ridges) are "living things" and are subjected to forces. To a great extent the forces accruing through a removable restoration can be widely distributed, directed, and minimized by the selection, design, and location of components of the removable partial denture and by developing a harmonious occlusion. For these reasons, mesial rest I bar clasp (RPI) is the most commonly used retainers for distal extension removable partial dentures. The RPI clasp allows release from an abutment tooth when occlusal forces are applied to the denture base, and the clasp gives good resistance to occlusal displacement, covers a minimun of tooth structure, and in most situations shows less metal than other clasps. However, when an insufficient vestibular depth will not allow the I bar to be released from tissue, undercut below the abutment teeth for the I bar may be so extensive that it is uncomfortable for the patient. In these situations, the RPI clasp cannot be used. This paper presents the clinical considerations about the RPA clasp serving as the RPI clasp.journal articl
