CO²レーザーにより蒸散療法を行った舌下型ガマ腫の3例
application/pdfThe ranula can be classified into two categories: the nonplunging ranula, which is limited in its inferior extension by the mylohyoid muscle, and the plunging ranula, which extends through the mylohyoid muscle into the cervical region. Although the nonplunging ranula has been treated by mursupialization, recurrence has been seen sometimes. We treated three nonplunging ranulas by a combination of CO² laser excision of the dome and vaporization of the base. No complications were noted and there was no recurrence in all patients during 6-12 months. The advantages inherent in the CO² laser afford an easy technique with minimizing surgical complication and recurrence for treatment of the nonplunging ranula.journal articl
陶材と硬質レジンの色調における分光特性について
application/pdfDental hard-resin have been used actively for facing metal crown restorations in recent years. However, dental hard-resin is not as good as dental porcelain in color reproductability. We measured spectral absorption and scattering coefficients of Kuraray-Cesead-hard-resin by the microspectrophotometric-method. Spectral absorption and scattering coefficients were compared using Kuraray-Cesead-hard-resin to Noritake-Super-Porcelain-AAA. The results were as follows; 1) The color of hard-resin depended on its thickness more than color of porcelain. 2) Transmittance of light on hard-resin was very high and depended on wavelength of light. Especially, nondiffused transmittance of Transparent-Hard-resin was high. Therefore, color of the under layers changed according to thickness of upper layers and color of surface depended directly on the color of under layers. 3) The color reproductability of dental hard-resin was not to the same level as dental porcelain.journal articl
顎関節腔二重造影像と鏡視下所見より確定診断が得られた線維性顎関節強直症の1例
application/pdfA case of unilateral temporomandibular joint (TMJ) fibrous ankylosis of a 27-year-old female was reported. On the first visit, she complained of limited ability to opener mouth, and tenderness of the preauricular region and the masseter associated with the deviation of the mandible to the affected side. Considering myogenous limitations of mouth opening ability with normal disc position revealed by MR images, conservative treatment such as the stabilization splint, patient education and manipulation was selected. However, the clinical symptoms did not improve. Double-contrast arthrography revealed fibrous adhesion in the capsule of affected side TMJ. Fibrous adhesion in the superior joint compartment not found on single-contrast arthrography and MR images could be clearly shown by double-contrast arthrography. After resection of the fibrous tissue by arthroscopic surgery, physical therapy was applied during the next seven months, and normal function was able to be reestablished. Again it must be emphasized that double-contrast arthrography and arthroscopy finding of TMJ space are available for prompt diagnosis of TMJ fibrous ankylosis.journal articl
耳前一側頭皮膚切開法により観血的整復固定術を施行した頬骨骨折の2症例
application/pdfAlthough there have been various reports on improving visibility and safety in the surgical approach to the malar bone, post-operative problems such as sensory loss over the distribution of the auriculotemporal region and undersirable cosmetic results are not uncommon. In 1979, Al-Kayat and Brameley reported on a modified preauricular approach to the malar arch and temporomandibular joint. Since 1990, we have applied this method to malar arch fractures and the result revealed that the method was effective and safe on operating procedures. Recently two cases of malar bone fractures were surgicaly treated using the modified Al-Kayat and Brameley method under general anesthesia. Therefore, we feel that this method is effective and safe on operating procedure on malar bone fracture.journal articl

application/pdfThis studies examine release- of Ca and P from β-TCP, bovine bone and hydroxyapatite for malic acid and malonic acid which used dissolving chitosan. The other examine release from hardened specimen of bone filling materiales and analyzed X-ray diffraction pattern about residues. The main results obtained are as follows. 1. β-TCP was decomposed by malonic acid. 2. BB and HAP not decomposed by organic acid. 3. Mixture of β-TCP with malic acid showed the maximum amount of release for calcium and phosphate. 4. Mixture of BB with malic acid showed the minimum amount of release for calcium and phosphate. 5. Calcium and zinc appears to be selectively released from the hardened specimen. 6. Each apatite of bone filling materials were not decomposed.journal articl
