The aim of this research was to know distribution of the trees in production forest group, Nupabomba village, Tanantovea district, Donggala regency. Using Geography Information System (GIS), we determine tree distribution in three slope class (0-8%, 8-15% and 15-25%).The period of study was from June to August 2013.Studywasdone bysome steps, i.e; mapping of research location, plotting, tree distribution data collection and analysis, and tree distribution mapping. The result showed that in the east part of the slope, the total number of plant species recorded in the slope class 0-8% was 39 individual trees comprising 10 species and 23 families, in the slope class 8-15% was 24 individual trees comprising 8 species and 7 families, and in the slope class 15-25% was 20 individual trees comprising 8 species and 7 families. In the west part, the total number of plant species recorded in the slope class 0-8% was 31individual trees comprising 9 species and 9 families, in the slope class 8-15% was 25 individual trees comprising 10 species and 9 families, and in the slope class 15-25% was 19 individual trees comprising 8 species and 8 families. It was concluded that there were 78 and 75 individual trees in east and west part of slope, respectively. Hence, the total number of the tree in the slope class 0-8% was higher than two other slope class. Keywords: Tree distribution, Geography System Information, Production Forest

The research aim was to determine the effect of some species AMF in the soil with different pH on the growth of Kemiri (Acacia mangium Willd.) seedlings. This research was conducted in the nursery of Dinas Kehutanan Provinsi Central Sulawesi from April to June 2014. Soil analysis was carried out in the Laboratory of Soil Science, Agriculture Faculty, Tadulako University. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Design (RCD) Faktorial, treatments AMF species with four levels, i.e. without FMA (M0), Glomus etunicatum (M1), Glomus deserticola (M2) dan Gigaspora margarita (M3). Soil pH (H2O) two levels i.e. pH 5.05 (P1) and pH 6.07 (P2), so there are eight treatment combinations. The results showed that the treatment species of Gigaspora margarita (M3) gave the highest response to the increase in height increment (24.3 cm), shoot fresh weight (19.9 gr), dry weight of shoots (5.41 gr) and root dry weight (0.485 gr) of A. Mangium seedlings, while Glomus etunicatum species (M1) gave the highest response in root fresh weight (1,445 gr). Further, the higher shoot dry weight (4.6275 gr) was achieved by soil pH 6.2 (P2). Combination treatment of Gigaspora margarita and soil pH 6.07 (M3P2) had significant effect only on the shoot dry weight. But in general, the combination treatment of Gigaspora margarita and soil pH 5.05 (M3P1) gave the highest response to the increase in height increment (24.4 cm), shoot fresh weight (19.95 grams), root fresh weight (1.6 grams) and root dry weight (0.503 grams). All treatment combinations were produce seedling quality index (SQI) that all was feasible planted, where the highest SQI (0.28) was achieved by combination treatment between Gigaspora margarita and soil pH 5.05 (M3P1). The objectives of this study were to determine the biomass and tree carbon along side of Lore Lindu National Park. The research was conducted at Sedoa village, Lore Utara district, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi from May to August 2013. Estimation of carbon stock was done by non-destructive method by using allometric formula. There were four observation plots, where each two plots were placed with distance 10 m and 100 m from  the main road alongside Lore Lindu National Park. The results showed that the biomass total of the trees aboveground were 711.0 ton ha-1 and 256.0 ton ha-1in plots that placed with distance 10 m and 100 m from the main road along side Lore Lindu National Park, respectively. Hence, based on the biomass calculation, the total carbon of the tree aboveground were  355.6 ton ha-1 and 128.0 ton ha-1 in plots that placed with distance 10 m and 100 m from the main road along side Lore Lindu National Park, respectively. This is a native plant species of Indo-Malaysia and was introduced to the Pacific Islands. In Indonesia, kemiri have long been planted, either for commercial or subsistence purposes to support the life of the community, especially in eastern part of Indonesia. This species can be used for various purposes, such as seeds source for planting purposes, cooking materials and medicine, while the stem woods can be used for furniture and construction.
