Get PDFAbstract - This study was conducted on one of the ISPs in Surabaya. The author uses operational audits to evaluate and improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of the revenue cycle, particularly sales activities, receivables management, and billing. Data collection method in this research is by interview, observation, and document analysis. From this research note that the activity of sale, management of receivable, and billing at X company still not effective, efficient, and economy. This happens because the company is less assertive in applying the rules that have been made. Thus, the authors recommend to be more assertive in the application of regulations that have been made. In additions, the author also recommends to change some existing rules. This recommendation is given to the company to survive the changes and competitors that exist
THE EFFECT OF ATMOSPHERICS ON BEHAVIORAL INTENTION AT KOREAN RESTAURANT IN SURABAYA
Get PDFAbstract – This study aims to observe the influences of atmospherics on behavioral intention, both directly and mediated through quality perception. Korean restaurant is used an object for ethnic restaurant observed in this study.A quantitative and causal type research is adopted for this study. Questionnaire used was adopted from Ha and Jang (2012) for offline survey. Purposive sampling method was used in this study. Sample consisted of 160 respondents, whose age is 18 years old or above and have eaten in Korean restaurant in Surabaya for at least three times in the past six months. Further data analysis was analyzed by SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0.Result of this study found positive relationship between atmospherics on service quality. Atmospherics also positively influences food quality. Positive relationship was also found on the relationship of service quality on behavioral intention. Moreover, food quality also positively influences behavioral intention. Service quality was proven as mediator in the influences of atmospherics on behavioral intention. Additionally, food quality was also proven as mediator in the influences of atmospherics on behavioral intention. However, this study found atmospherics has no impact on behavioral intention

In general, any university that is both private and state universities have student organizations in accordance with the interests of each university. Similarly, the University of Surabaya. At present, the administrative activities that include recording and realization of the activities of the work program is still running it manually. Processes running manually is a time consuming, because there are several steps that must be done in a way to meet people. The duration of the administration process can impede the course of events. Therefore, making this system aims to help the administration process so that the process can be completed more quickly and does not inhibit the activity. Analysis of system requirements through interviews to the parties concerned and also made observations on the course of the administrative process. This system will streamline administrative processes and activities can save the file with the existing format seminimalis system design made possible so it does not make the user confused in using this system. The system is made by using CodeIgniter and phpMyAdmin. After going through the process of testing, the system created to help according to the needs of student organizations University of Surabaya. Final conclusion of this system can help reduce errors and help accelerate the process of administrative activities

Get PDFThis research is a quantitative approach through a survey method. The aims of this research is to know how the recognition and empowerment can improve achievement motivation in employees. The population used in this research were employees of PT X Jombang with a total sample of 138 employees. Technique of taking subject sample is using accidental technique. Preliminary data were obtained through interviews of some employees while the main data was obtained through questionnaires. Data analysis used multiple regression analysis and partial correlation. The results showed that the recognition and empowerment of employees is an equally important effort to increase achievement motivation. Get PDFthe aim of this study was to detemire the correlation between teacher’s teaching skill and academic achivement towards deaf students. The participant for this study were 76 students which chosen by purposive sampling technique and based on students didn’t have mental retardation. This study was using teacher’s teaching skill questionare and daily exam score to measure student’s academic achievement. Data analysis for this study was performed with SPSS 20.0 for windows with Kendall’s core technique. The result of this studey find there in no significant relationship between teacher teaching skill and academic achievement, this study obtained sign of 0,988 (> 0,05) which means there is no significant correlation between teacher teaching skill and academic achievement towards deaf students. Academic achievement is not only relate with teacher teaching skill but ther is another factor that could influence academic achievement, like parent and friends factor. From this study, an advice that researcher could give was during the learning process, theacher can controll speed in speaking, so students can understand it well

Get PDFThis study aims to examine the effect of Corporate Reputation on Recommendation, the influence of Functional Value on Recommendation, the influence of mediation from functional and emotional value variables that can mediate the relationship between corporate reputation and recommendation. And the influence of tour leader performance moderation on the relationship between corporate reputation, perceived value, and recommendation at PT Al-Madinah Citra InternasionalinSurabaya. This study used a sample of 160 respondents. This research uses quantitative approach through statistical test. The test is done by using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) through AMOS software version 22.0 (Analysis of Moment Structures) to test the measurement and structural model. The results of this study indicate that Corporate Reputation proved to have a positive effect on the Recommendation at PT Al-Madinah Citra International in Surabaya. Functional Value proved to have a positive effect on Emotional Value at PT Al-Madinah Citra Internasional in Surabaya. Functional Value is not proven to mediate the relationship between Corporate Reputation and Recommendation at PT Al-Madinah Citra Internasional in Surabaya. Emotional Value proved to mediate the relationship between Corporate Reputation and Recommendation at PT Al-Madinah Citra International in Surabaya. And Tour Leader Performance is not proven to moderate the relationship between Corporate Reputation, Perceived Value, and Recommendation at PT Al-Madinah Citra Internasional in Surabaya

Get PDFATC is one of the professions that have pressure in the physical and psychological aspects where the profession is susceptible to be a one of the sources stress. Job stress with a mild or high level, depending on the factors that become a source of stress (stressor). Workshift is other things that can affect the level of work stress. The number of subjects in this study as many as 49 people ATC with a total population of 81 people. This study aims to determine the relationship between workload and work stress in terms of workshifts on ATC using quantitative research methods. The result of this research is to receive H0 meaning that there is no relation between work load with work stress either on morning shift (r = 0122), day shift (r = -0.097) and night shift (r = -0.180). There are other factors that can be a source of stress (stressor) in addition to the workload of social relationships, management style, organizational conditions, work family conflict, personality type and job experience

By looking at these advantages, such as expanding opportunities in the working world, getting scholarships and knowing the culture of the country concerned, then the Japanese language course appears. However Japanese characters which consists of three characters make students difficult to memorize because these characters are too many. In addition, a boring learning method that used by teacher can make students lazy to learn. Therefore, an application that can help the community to understand the Japanese language with role playing learning method is created. In this application, the lesson divided into six stages and delivered briefly. Overall, the user will interact a lot with a female character. This character will guide the user from beginning to the end to tell the user some basic sentence patterns and Japanese characters of hiragana and katakana. Evaluation in this application is given by answering some questions and accompanied by match and pair letter and picture cards mini games. From the test results, it can be concluded that this multimedia application can help beginners to learn Japanese with an interesting appearance and help users in memorizing Japanese characters and without spending any cost

Data processing was conducted using software SPSS AMOS 20. The sampling technique thatused is non-probability sampling. 150 respondents, who qualify the specified characteristics of the population were the total of sample used in this research whichdistributed by off line quetionaire. The result of this research that there was a positive influence betweenenvironment quality on satisfaction, a positive influence between outcome quality on satisfaction, a positive influence between satisfaction on usage intention, a positive influence between satisfaction on stickiness, a positive influence between stickiness on usage intention and mediating role of stickiness between satisfaction and usage intention is confirmed
