The purpose of the research was to find out the influence of using Brain Based Learning model to mathematical creative thinking skills of student. The research method was quasi experiment with Posttest-Only Control Design. Population of this research are 60 students consist of 30 from experiment class and 30 from control class. The technique sampling was saturation sampling. The data analysis using T test. Prior to hypothesis testing, there were two prerequisite tests that consist of the normality test and homogeneity test. The result of prerequisite tests showed that both classes had the normal distribution and the same variance. Based on the t-test, it can be seen that there was an influence of Brain Based Learning model mathematical creative thinking

This research aims to know the differences of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model with Card Match type and Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) Model to the mathematical communication ability of grade IV SDN Batu Ampar 02 Pagi, East Jakarta. The research method was comparative-quantitative with Quasi Experiment Method with posttest-only research design. The sample of the research was 64 students. The research instrument was a mathematical communication ability test in the essay form containing 7 items with score value 0-4. The instrument has been tested previously with validity and reliability test.  Based on the results of the normality and homogeneity test of mathematical communication ability in IVA (Experiment Class I) and class IVB 's (Experiment Class II), the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. Furthermore, data analysis techniques used hypothesis test. The results showed the average value of mathematical communication skills of the Experiment I class using the CTL with Card Match type was 19.3, it was higher than the Experiment II class using the RME Model of 18. Based on hypothesis test, it can be concluded that there were differences between CTL Type Card Match Model and RME Model on mathematical communication ability of students at SDN Batu Ampar 02 Pagi, East Jakarta

The population of this study was 5th grade with 39 students. The sampling was used saturation sampling technique. The data was collected using obervation, essay test, and documentation. Before the essay test was used, it was analyzed its content validity, level of difficulty, discrimination power, and reliability. Test was consist of 4 questions. The data technique was qualitative analysis with Miles and Hubermen model. This research showed that students who can worked on level 4 question were students who answered more correctly on question number 2. Students who can worked on level 3 question were students who answer more correctly on question number 4.This study concluded that the mathematical literation skill of 5th grade student in SD Negeri 3 Kunduran was good

Students Mistakes to Solve Higher Order Thinking based Problems in The Quadrilateral Topic

The aim of this study was to analyze students' mistakes in solve higher order thinking skill (HOTS) questions in the quadrilateral topic. The research method was descriptive qualitative. The research subject was three 7th grade students in one of junior high schools in suburbs of Jakarta. The sampling technique was test and interview. The result showed that students were unfamiliar with HOTS questions. The mistakes that was identified were intuitive mistake, algorithm-based mistake, and formal knowledge-based mistake. It was marked by errors in choosing an operation, not paying attention in unit when performing calculations and misconception for the formula

Development of Spot Capturing Problem Based Models for Growing Elementary School Students Character

This study aims to develop a spot capturing problem-based model that teachers can use to foster student character values in elementary schools. The type and the research design used are Research and Development (R&D) according to Borg & Gall with research methods using experimental quasi one group pretest posttest study. The research data was taken using instrument observation sheet and questionnaire then analyzed using quantitative descriptive percentage. This study produced a spot capturing problem-based model consisting of six learning steps: (1) students' orientation, (2) organizing students, (3) conducting investigations and troubleshooting, (4) presents the investigation results, (5) evaluation and reflection, (6) follow-up. The validity of the problem-based spot capturing learning model was obtained from an expert validation assessment with a score of 85.7%. The results of the limited trials show that the problem-based spot capturing model is effective to cultivate the character of the students in the elementary school: caring character obtained a score of 78% (good) and responsible character obtained score of 82% (very good). Spot capturing model based on practical problems used in elementary school learning is seen from student and teacher response questionnaire obtained an average score of 82.5% (practical)

The problem was analyzed based on validity, reliability, difficulty level, distinguishing power, and distractor matter. The calculation was done by using Itemen version 3.0 program. Selection of the Itemen program because the program can analyze multiple choice questions. Based on the results of the analysis, the validity of the questions there were 1 invalid questions (2.86%), and 34 valid questions (97.14%). The result of reliability coefficient was 0.839, which means reliability. The result of difficulty level there were 3 questions in the category is too difficult (8,5%), 24 matter enough category / medium (68,5%), and 8 matter too easy category (23%). There was no questions in the category of very bad, there were 1 questions in bad category (3%), 4 questions enough category (11%), 30 questions in good category (86%), and no question in very good category. Furthermore, in distractor, there were 20 questions with distractor that works well (57%), the remaining number is 15 questions with distractor not working (43%)

This case study is about the primary school teachers' prior knowledge that influence their beliefs about English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Learning Strategies reflected in their actual classroom practices.  There were two senior Indonesian teachers who has more than 10 years teaching experience participated in this research. One of the teacher was teaching in state primary school and the other was teaching in an international primary school in Jakarta. The result of the analysis from participants' responses to the questionnaire, video-recorded classroom observations and interviews were presented qualitatively in the findings section.  The results showed that primary teachers beliefs about EFL Learning strategies were uniquely reflected in their classroom practices suitable to their experience in acquiring and applying Language Learning Strategies (LLSs) in learning English.

Enhancing Conceptual Knowledge about Shape through Realistic Mathematics Education

This study aims to examine whether there is an increased understanding of the concept of shape using Realistic Mathematics Education. This research was conducted in one primary school class II in the academic year 2016/2017. Design Research was chosen as a basis research which included preparation for the experiment, preliminary teaching experiment class which involved 6 students Class IIA to test early Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT), Teaching Experiment class which involved 37 students of Class IIB, and retrospective analysis (data analysis obtained from the previous stage). HLT plays an important role as a research design and instrument. Learning trajectory that has been designed then was compared with the actual student learning in the teaching experiment. The data of the students' understanding of the concept of shape was obtained by using pre-test, observation, interview, student worksheet and post-test as well as data obtained in the learning process. The results of this study found that there was an increased understanding of the concept of the shape which will be elaborated further in the discussion
