PENERAPAN MEDIA E-BOOK BEREKSTENSI EPUB UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MINAT DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMP PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPA
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa yaitu dengan menerapkan media E-book berekstensi epub didalam smartphone sebagai media belajar yang bersifat inovatif sebagai upaya memanfaatkan kegemaran siswa menggunakan smartphone agar tetap belajar. Tujuan penelitian jangka panjang diharapkan dapat mengurangi beban pendidik dalam menyajikan informasi dalam pembelajaran karena diwakili dengan adanya e-book, dapat mengefektifkan dan mengefisienkan waktu pembelajaran karena tidak harus membawa banyak buku bacaan dalam bentuk fisiknya yang berat, dan dapat membantu memudahkan siswa belajar karena fitur multimedia dapat menjadi tutor. Penelitian penerapan media e-book berekstensi epub untuk meningkatkan minat dan hasil belajar siswa smp pada mata pelajaran ipa termasuk kedalam jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Analisa data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisa data kuantitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari hasil angket respon siswa dan tes kognitif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa implementasi E-book berekstensi.epub dapat meningkatkan minat belajar sangat baik sebesar 88,61% dan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan kriteria tinggi berupa gain score sebesar 0,703 pada pembelajaran IPA SMP
Increasing Student Activity and Motivation: Implementation of Cooperative Learning Models Type Teams Game Tournament
The main aim of this research is to apply a cooperative learning model that is cooperative learning model type TGT (Team Game Tournament) to increase student activity and motivation in biodiversity material, implemented in SMP Negeri 1 Kokop Bangkalan. As the subject of this class action research is the students of class VIID with 31 students. Based on the results of classroom action research that has been done, it can be concluded that science learning material of diversity of living creatures by using cooperative learning model TGT, learning activities and student motivation increased this can be seen from the test of student learning outcomes in the form of prestest and posttest. And the average value of questionnaire of motivation has given positive respons. It means motivation student increasing.
INFLUENCING OF CHALLENGE BASED LEARNING MODEL TOWARD CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY OF THE STUDENTS ON ENVIRONMENT MATERIAL IN X GRADE AT SMA NEGERI 4 PRABUMULIH
This study aims to determine the effect of learning model Challenge Based Learning on the critical thinking ability of environmental materials. The research method used in this research is a quasi-experiment with Non-Equivalent Control Group Design research design. Sampling was used by using purposive sampling technique. The sample of this study class X.2 as the experiment amounted to 20 and class X.3 as the control class amounted to 21 students. The results of this study indicate that the average N-gain of the experimental class is 0.61 which is in the medium category and the average N-gain for the control class is 0.24 which belongs to the low category. Data analysis using t-test with significant level 0,05 obtained tcount = 5,674 while ttable = 1,685 seen that tcount ttabel. Therefore (Ha) accepted and (H0) rejected thus can be concluded that the learning model of Challenge Based Learning has an effect on critical thinking ability of class X SMA 4 Prabumulih
BIOREMEDIATION OF CONTAMINATED WASTE BY CADMIUM (Cd) IN WATERS USING INDIGEN BACTERIUM WITH EX-SITU WAY
The bioremediation technique for a contaminated liquid waste of heavy metals using indigenous bacteria is a convenient alternative to steps continues to be developed. The research aims to find out the effectiveness of an indigenous bacterial consortium in bioremediation of contaminated liquid waste by cadmium by ex-situ. Experiments were arranged in RAL made in ex-situ where a liquid waste industry was given five treatments, namely control and four indigenous bacterial consortia (A, D, E, and J) obtained from the isolation of bacteria originating from cadmium-contaminated of waste in Pasuruan district. Furthermore conducted observations of BOD5, COD, d.o. and Cd for seven days to find out the effectiveness of bioremediation. The results showed the four indigenous bacteria consortia have the bioremediation ability to reduce levels of cadmium, BOD5, COD, and increasing levels of DO. Indigenous bacterial consortia D has the best ability of liquid industrial waste bioremediation by ex-situ. Indigenous bacterial consortia J has the best of capacity reduction levels of cadmium, then the other of indigenous bacterial consortia.Keywords: indigenous bacterial, bioremediation, ex-situ, cadmium, liquid waste
PENGEMBANGAN MODUL PRAKTIKUM KIMIA DASAR BERBASIS GREEN CHEMISTRY UNTUK MAHASISWA CALON GURU IPA
Environmental conditions are increasingly worrying to make all parties, not least educational practitioners, want give to overcome it. One that can be done is by presenting a learning process that is more concerned about the environment. In science education, the Green Chemistry approach integrated into laboratory activities is expected to address these challenges. Therefore, this study aims to develop a practice Module based on Green Chemistry approach that can be used by prospective students of science teachers as guidance to carry out safe and environmentally friendly lab work on Basic Chemistry course. This research method is Research and Development (RD). The aim of this research is the feasibility of the module based on expert assessment (lecturer of Chemistry) and students. The data of the research were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis method. Based on the results of data analysis shows that the developed practice Module is very feasible to be implemented in Basic Chemistry learning because it received an assessment with the category of "very good" from the chemistry lecturer on the three aspects of content, instructions and conformity with the principle of Green Chemistry and get a very positive response from Student responses as users of the module.Keywords: Module lab, Chemistry Basic, Approach of Green Chemistry, student of science teacher candidat
DEVELOPMENT OF BIOLOGY LEARNING INSTRUCTIONAL TO INCREASE STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT AND SELF-DIRECTED BY SCIENCE PROCESS SKILLS APPROACH
This research is aimed to develop biology learning materials in Junior High School for plants movement topic to increase students’ achievement and self-directed through Science Process Skill approach. This is development research refers to Kemp’s development model. The learning kit is taught in SMPN 1 Blega Bangkalan Madura for 28 students grade VIII employing science process skill approach. The research design uses One Group Pretest-Posttest and data is analyzed with the qualitative descriptive method. This research reveals that the implementation of learning kit is 83%, dominant student’s activities in 1st and 2nd learning process are observing (22% - 24%), most of the students have positive responses which are indicated by 99% of students expressing their like, the result of students’ learning mastery satisfies the classical criteria for 86%, the rate of students self-directed varies from 55,56% to 83,32%. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the Development of Biology Learning Kit is feasible.Keywords: Achievement, Self-directed, Science Process skill approach
DEVELOPMENT OF INTEGRATED ELECTROCHEMISTRY TEACHING MATERIAL BASED CONTEXTUAL FOR VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN MACHINE ENGINEERING DEPARTEMENT
The chemistry teaching at Vocational High School which tends to be theoretical and not directly connected to vocational lesson has caused students to have low interest, low motivation, and low achievement. The problem is becoming more complex due to limited time allotment and limited teaching materials. One of the efforts to solve the problem is by providing the relevant teaching material using contextual learning approach. The aims of this Research and Development (RD) research are: (1) to produce an appropriate chemistry teaching material on electrochemistry integrated with skill program subjects using Contextual approach for Vocational High School students of Machinery Engineering Department; (2) to know the feasibility of development result of teaching material. The development of the teaching material uses 4D developmental model from Thiagarajan et al consisting of four phases namely Define, Design, Develop, and Desiminate. The dominate phase was not done. The scores of evaluation of the feasibility or the appropriateness of the product from the content expert are 88.75% (very feasible) for the teachers’ book and 91.25% (very feasible) for the students’ book. The expert on media gave 89.25% (very feasible) for the teachers’ book and 89.9% (very feasible) for the students’ book. The result of readability test shows that the teachers’ book is feasible (83.81%) and the students’ book is very feasible (93.61%).Keywords: Teaching material on electrochemistry, Machinery Engineering Department of Vocational High School, Contextual Approac
KORELASI ANTARA MATEMATIKA DENGAN DASAR ZAT, PANAS DAN OPTIKA PADA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN IPA
Mathematic ability is indispensable for understanding and solving problems in Physics tasks. Based on the importance of the mathematic ability, the curriculum of Natural Science Education Program consists of mathematics courses namely Mathematics I and II. The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation of learning outcomes in Mathematics dan physics courses on the topic of Basic Substance, Heat and Optics. This study was conducted on the bachelor students of Natural Science Education Program on academic year 2015/2016 consisting of 3 classes that are class A, B and C. Students have covered the course of Mathematics I, Mathematics II and physics. Data obtained by documentation technique. The result of the analysis shows that there is a significant correlation between the learning result of Mathematics subject and the result of physics course study. The correlation index between Mathematics I and physics is 0.52; 0.34 and 0.23 for class A, B and C. While the correlation index between Mathematics II and physics are 0.27; 0.34 and 0.28 for classes A, B and C. Keywords: Correlation, Mathematic abiliy, Physic
RESPON SISWA DAN GURU DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPA TERPADU KONSEP TEKANAN MELALUI PROBLEM BASED LEARNING
Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan dan respon siswa serta guru setelah pembelajaran IPA terpadu menggunakan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dari dua kelas VIII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Gresik tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, angket untuk melihat respon siswa, serta format wawancara untuk melihat tanggapan guru terhadap pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran IPA terpadu dengan model PBL (kelas eksperimen) sebesar 93,09% dan pembelajaran IPA terpadu dengan model konvensional (kelas kontrol) sebesar 89,92% dan dapat dikatakan sudah terlaksana sesuai dengan yang direncanakan. PENGEMBANGAN PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN IPA DENGAN PENDEKATAN SCIENTIFIC PADA MATERI SISTEM EKSKRESI UNTUK MELATIHKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA SMP
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA dengan Pendekatan Scientific pada materi Sistem Ekskresi yang layak digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa ditinjau dari tingkat validitas dan respons siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model Dick dan Carey (1990) dan dilanjutkan dengan tahap pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas menggunakan rancangan One Group Pretest-Postest Design. Dari hasil penelitian ini berupa perangkat pembelajaran yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi Sistem Ekskresi di SMP memiliki persentase keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 96%; skor ketuntasan hasil belajar dari Tes Hasil Belajar Siswa (THB) sebesar 85,29%; skor dari tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa diperoleh presentase sebesar 85,29%; skor afektif siswa pada sikap spiritual 87%, sikap bijaksana 87% dan sikap tanggung jawab 88%; skor keterampilan psikomotor siswa 100% tuntas dengan presentase 55,88% siswa mendapat nilai B dan 41,11% siswa mendapat nilai A; frekuensi aktifitas siswa yang menonjol adalah berdiskusi dengan teman sekelompok sebesar 16,64%, mengkomunikasikan hasil diskusi kelompok di depan kelas sebesar 15,81%; dan mendapatkan respon positif dari siswa terhadap perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran dengan Pendekatan Scientific pada materi sistem ekskresi layak digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA SMP
