    Disonansi Kognitif Gay Terkait Budaya Patrilineal di Bali

    The research was purposed to know how cognitive dissonance of gay-related towards patrilineal culture in Bali. Subjects of this research were two Balinese born gay. Each of the subjects has two significant others. The subjects were selected by theory-based/operational construct sampling method to make sure that it represents the real phenomenon and compatible with the purpose of the research. The research used a qualitative method with phenomenology approach through an analysis model by Purwandari (2007). Method of the sampling was an interview with a list of questions based on the purpose of the research. The result showed that there was a different level of cognitive dissonance on both subjects. It was based on their own background and causes of cognitive dissonance. The research also showed that there was a different effort from each of the subject to solved cognitive dissonance

    Hubungan antara Kecerdasan Emosi dengan Koping pada Gamer

    There are numerous studies about the relationship between emotional intelligence and coping stress. However, there are still a few studies that examined the relationship between those two in the gamer. Hence, the aimed of this study is to empirically examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and coping stress in the gamer. The hypothesis of this study stated that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and coping stress. Participants of the study were 101 college students who are playing the video game with an age range from 17 to 25. Product moment technique was used to analyze the data. The result of the study showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and coping stress (p < 0,001; r = 0,586). Based on this result, the hypothesis was accepted

    Kohesivitas Tim dan Sikap terhadap Kepemimpinan Wasit sebagai Prediktor Kecenderungan Perilaku Agresif Pemain Sepakbola

    This study aimed to determine the role of team cohesiveness and attitude toward referee leadership to the aggressiveness tendency in Indonesian professional football player. Participants in this research were 90 Indonesian professional football players. The data were collected using three instruments: aggressiveness behavioral tendencies scale, team cohesiveness scale, and attitude toward referee leadership scale. Data were analyzed using linear regression analysis in SPSS 20. Findings from this research were the team cohesiveness and the attitude towards referee leadership have contributed in aggressive behavioral tendencies of Indonesian professional football player, shown by the value of R = 0.509 and R square = 0.259; p <0.01. Team cohesiveness and the attitude toward referee leadership effectively contributed as much as 25.9% on the aggressiveness tendency among Indonesia professional football players

    Efikasi Diri Akademik dan Resiliensi pada Siswa SMA Berasrama di Magelang

    This study aims to determine the relationship between academic self-efficacy and resiliency of boarding-high school students in Magelang. The hypothesis of this research was that there was positive relationship between academic self-efficacy and resiliency. The subjects were ninety (90) 10th grader in X high school located in Magelang. The measuring instruments used were  Resilience Scale and Academic Self-efficacy Scale.  Simple regression analysis showed that the academic self-efficacy predict resiliency (R = 0.698; p = 0,001). Academic self-efficacy contributed an effect of 48.7% on the increase of resilience.  The conclusion was academic self-efficacy is able to predict resiliency

    Persepsi terhadap Kemampuan Komunikasi Interpersonal Orang Tua dengan Kecenderungan Kenakalan Remaja

    This study aimed to determine the relationship between perception of parent’s interpersonal communication ability with juvenile delinquency tendency. The hypothesis of this study was the perception of parent’s interpersonal communication ability had a negative correlation with juvenile delinquency tendency. Participants consisted of 100 male and female middle adolescent who studied in several senior high schools in Yogyakarta. The Perception of Parent’s Interpersonal Communication Ability Scale (18 items) and The Tendency of Juvenile Delinquency Scale (25 items) were used in this study. Data were analyzed using the Product Moment Pearson Correlation method with SPSS version 21. The result showed that the perception of parent’s interpersonal communication ability had a negative correlation with juvenile delinquency tendency (r=-0,295, p<0,01). Findings support  the opposite relationship between how adolescents perceive the ability of parents' interpersonal relationships with their juvenile delinquency

    Adversity Quotient pada Pelaku Startup di Yogyakarta: Kegigihan di Tengah Masalah

    The purpose of this research was to understand the adversity quotient among startup founders in Yogyakarta. Phenomenology was the approach and analyzed by Miles and Huberman interactive model. The data collection method in this research was a semi-structured interview. Respondents in this study consisted of three startup founders with these criteria: 1) aged 18-24 years old, 2) age of startup at least 1 year, 3) based in Yogyakarta, 4) willing to be interviewed. This study found two forms of adversity quotient on startup founders: 1) coping strategies and 2) characters. Coping strategies encompassed immediate problem solving, having goals and visions, taking lessons from problems, and finding solutions. While the characters consisted of concepts such as responsibility, learning from experience, having strong principles, persistence, and optimism. As a conclusion adversity quotients  of startup founders contain two aspects

    This study aims to understand understanding the dynamics of passion in youth entrepreneurs when running a business. By understanding the dynamics of passion in running a business, youth entrepreneurs can understand the importance of passion's role in his business so as to avoid failure. In order to achieve these objectives, a phenomenological study was conducted on purposively selected participants, ie nascent new business entrepreneurs who have a passion for entrepreneurship aged 18 to 34years. Data were collected using semi-structured phenomenological interviews and analyzed using a phenomenological analysis approach. The results show that the dynamics of passion play an important role in the three series of areas of entrepreneurial activity: 1) product creation and development, 2) business establishment, 3) business development. While also found the aspects of personal, environmental and behavior that affect the emergence of entrepreneurial passion on them

    One of the factors that contribute to the athlete’s performance is his emotional state. Athletes who are emotionally unstable tend to be more easily expressed aggression in front of opponents. This research aims to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and aggressiveness among futsal athlete. It was hypothesized that there a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and aggressiveness. There were 111 futsal athletes of University X from many faculties in this research. Data analysis using Product Moment correlation technique from Pearson showed rxy=-0.488 with p<0,01 pointing out that there is a significant negative correlation between emotional intelligence and aggressiveness among futsal athlete. That result proved that the hypothesis was accepted

    Kesejahteraan Subjektif pada Pemulung: Tinjauan Sosiodemografi

    Subjective wellbeing is a negative or positive assessment of the experience experienced in all aspects of life. The purpose of this study was to identify the subjective welfare level of scavengers based on sociodemography. Using a quantitative approach with survey design methods and with incidental sampling techniques, the sample in the study involved 87 scavengers composed of 41 men and 46 women, aged 17-55 years, and domiciled in Banda Aceh. Subjective prosperity was measured using Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE). The analysis methods used were descriptive statistics and chi square test for independent. The result of chi square statistic analysis showed that there was no correlation between subjective welfare of the scavengers in sociodemographic group (gender p > 0.05; age p > 0.05; last education p > 0.05; marital status p > 0.05; income p > 0.05). The result of descriptive analysis showed that the dominant research subjects were at high subjective well-being level (58 subjects or 66,7%)

    Kesuksesan Karier Ditinjau dari Persepsi Pengembangan Karier dan Komitmen Karier pada Pekerja Millennial

    Millennial workers are concerned to succeed in their career so they are willing to move from one organization to another to have successful career. Based on that, it is important for organization to help millennial workers through career development program. Moreover, career success can also be realized by the commitment of employees to their careers. This study was a quantitative study which aimed to determine career success according to perceptions of career development and career commitment. Respondents in this study were millennial workers who work in hospitality industry which were sampled by quota sampling method. Data analysis was done using multiple regression analysis and yielded F = 80.450; p < 0.01. The results of this study stated that perceptions of career development and career commitment are predictors of career success in millennial workers in hospitality industry. The influence of two two predictors contributed 44.8% in increasing career success
