This paper began with a small observation I made while playing the piano as a hobby in both Korea and Japan, namely that the translated titles of classical piano pieces in Korean and Japanese are remarkably similar. The purpose of this paper is to find out whether this similarity is due to mere chance or based on some concrete cause. I conclude that the reason for the similarity is to be found in the influence that Japan brought to bear on the process of acceptance of Western music in Korea.departmental bulletin pape

Research on “Creating Artwork Using the Suminagashi (marbling) Technique” has been conducted since 2021. This time we have implemented research practice on preschoolers and the results are outlined in this report. As a result of carrying out the Suminagashi practice experience on preschoolers, we were able to observe their gazing intently with awe at the design in front of them and joyfully creating patterns. From the patterns that were formed, many children imagined and came up with artwork featuring ghosts, people and snakes. From the shapes and colors of the pattern, they used their artistic interpretation to create their own images and many drawings manifesting their vivid imaginations.departmental bulletin pape
