Populasi, Manajemen Pemeliharaan, dan Pola Pemasaran Ternak Kerbau (Studi Kasus di Desa Kembang Seri, Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah)
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat populasi dan sistem manajemen ternak kerbau serta pola pemasaran di Desa Kembang Seri, Kecamatan Talang Empat, Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan September-November 2020. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah primer dan sekunder. Data primer yang dikumpulkan adalah; Identitas responden, manajemen pemeliharaan, populasi ternak kerbau dan pola pemasaran ternak kerbau serta data sekunder dapat diperoleh dari data dan catatan yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Data yang diperoleh ditabulasi dan ditampilkan dalam bentuk tabel serta gambar kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa populasi ternak kerbau yang dipelihara sebanyak 74 ekor dengan rincian 29 ekor kerbau jantan 45 ekor kerbau betina yang terdiri dari anakan sebanyak 23 ekor serta kerbau muda sebanyak 18 ekor dan dewasa 33 ekor dan untuk manajemen pemeliharaan ternak kerbau tergolong cukup baik dan sudah memenuhi standar menajemen pemeliharaan dan tergolong pada pemeliharaan semi intensif dan selanjutnya pada pola pemasaran ternak ternak kerbau di Desa Kembang Seri, Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah didasarkan dengan cara menjual ternak dengan kriteria penentuan harga dengan sistem waktu usaha dalam penjualan ternak. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi perbaikan data tentang populasi ternak kerbau serta melakukan introduksi sistem manajemen pemeliharaan, serta pemasaran ternak kerbau.Kata Kunci: populasi, manajemen, pemasaran, kerbau Population, Production Systems, and Marketing Patterns of Buffaloes(Case Study in Kembang Seri Village, Central Bengkulu Regency)ABSTRACTThe research aims to look at the population and management system of buffalo and marketing patterns in Kembang Seri Village, Talang Empat District, Central Bengkulu Regency. The research aims conducted in September-November 2020. The data collected in this study were primary and secondary. Primary data collected are; Respondent identity, maintenance management, buffalo population and buffalo marketing patterns as well as secondary data can be obtained from existing data and records. The data obtained were tabulated and displayed in tables and figures then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the population of buffalo kept as many as 74 heads, with details of 29 male buffalo 45 female buffalo consisting of 23 calves and 18 young buffalo and 33 adult heads and for the management of buffalo livestock maintenance is quite good and already meet the maintenance management standards and are classified as semi-intensive maintenance and furthermore the marketing pattern of buffalo livestock in Kembang Seri Village, Talang Empat District, Central Bengkulu Regency is based on selling livestock with price determination criteria with a system of business time in livestock sales. Tingkat Kepuasan Rumah Tangga Miskin Penerima Program BEKERJA (Bedah Kemiskinan Rakyat Sejahtera) di Kabupaten Cirebon
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil dari rumah tangga miskin (RTM) untuk mengetahui implementasi program BEKERJA (Bedah Kemiskinan Rakyat Sejahtera) dan untuk mengetahui kepuasan RTM terhadap program BEKERJA di Kabupaten Cirebon. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di 3 Kecamatan di Kabupaten Cirebon yakni Kecamatan Gegesik, Kecamatan Arjawinangun dan Kecamatan Ciwaringin. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan Index Performance Analysis (IPA) dan Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mengukur tingkat kepuasan dari RTM serta melakukan evaluasi pada setiap atribut. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa dari aspek jenis kelamin responden laki-laki lebih banyak jumlahnya dari pada responden perempuan. Responden berusia diatas 55 tahun dan memiliki riwayat pendidikan SMP serta berprofesi sebagai petani yang memiliki pengalaman bertani. Bantuan dari program BEKERJA di Cirebon adalah 50 ekor ayam KUB, uang tunai sebesar Rp 500.000 untuk pembangunan kandang dan juga 150 kg pakan dan vitamin. Pada analisis IPA terdapat atribut yang harus diperbaiki karena memiliki tingkat kepuasan yang masih sangat rendah sehingga harus menjadi prioritas utama untuk dilakukan perbaikan. Atribut tersebut atribut yang berada di kuadran I diagram kartesius yakni kualitas bibit ternak, peningkatan kemampuan responden, peningkatan pendapatan responden dan penjualan yang mudah. Selanjutnya pada perhitungan CSI mendapatkan hasil kepuasan sebesar 0,56 yang artinya masuk dalam kriteria “cukup puas”.Kata kunci: CSI, IPA, Profil RTM, Program BEKERJAThe Satisfaction level of poor household of BEKERJA (Bedah Kemiskinan Rakyat Sejahtera) program receiver in Cirebon RegencyABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to identify the profile of respondents, the implementation of the BEKERJA program, and the poorhouse satisfaction with the BEKERJA Program in the Cirebon Regency. The sample used 75 samples poorhouse. Samples were determined by the proportional stratified random sampling method, the primary data were obtained by snowball sampling method. Data analysis using Index Performance Analysis and Customer Satisfaction Index methods. The results showed that the gender profile of male respondent’s was more than female respondent’s, the respondent’s age over 55 years old, the respondent’s education degree of junior high school, the respondent’s professions as a farmers and lastly respondent’s that have farming experience. The aid package of the BEKERJA program in Cirebon is 50 KUB chickens, money in 500K IDR for building the cage and also 150 kg feed and vitamins. At the Index Performance Analysis, results show that attributes requiring attention because of low levels of satisfaction are present in quadrant I. Those attributes are the quality of chicken seed, increased farming ability, increased incomes, and sales of farm products. In the customer satisfaction index, there are several attributes that should be evaluated because of the score low satisfaction. Such attributes are the sales of farm products, increased incomes, the quality of chicken seed, and the officers' intimacy. CSI calculations were got the satisfaction result is 0.56 which means included in the criteria of "quite satisfied".Keywords: BEKERJA Program, CSI, IPA, profile of respondent
Potensi Nutrien Umbi Gadung (Dioscorea hispida Dennst) yang Direndam dalam Ekstrak Kulit Langir (Albizia Saponaria Lour)
Umbi gadung (Discorea hispida Dennst) merupakan sumber pangan alternatif dan memiliki kandungan pati sebagai sumber karbohidrat. Tetapi, memiliki kandungan sianida dan dioskorin yang cukup tinggi. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi nutrien umbi gadung (Dioscorea hispida Dennst) dalam ekstrak kulit langir (Albizia saponaria Lour). Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Teknologi Pakan Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Halu Oleo, menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) 4 perlakuan dengan 4 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa umbi gadung (Dioscorea hispida Dennst) memiliki potensi nutrien yang baik pada level pemberian ekstrak kulit langir 15%, meningkat sampai 15,02%, menurunkan kadar lemak menjadi 0,30% dengan kandungan serat kasar, kadar air, bahan kering, bahan organik dan kadar abu yang dihasilkan masih dalam kategori yang optimal. However, it has a fairly high content of cyanide and dioscorin. The research aimed to find out the potential of tuber nutrients (Dioscorea hispida Dennst) soaked in langir skin extract (Albizia saponaria Lour). The research was conducted in the Laboratory of Nutrition Science and Feed Technology Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Halu Oleo University, using a complete randomized design 4 treatments with 4 repeats. Kualitas Kimia Kerupuk Kulit Sapi pada Bagian Berbeda dengan Lama Perendaman Campuran Kapur dan Kulit Nanas
ABSTRAKSetiap ternak memiliki struktur dan bagian jenis kulit yang berbeda. Kerupuk kulit sering kali dijadikan sebagai pendamping lauk pauk sebab teksturnya yang sangat renyah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh perbedaan jenis bagian kulit dengan lama perendaman larutan kapur sirih dan ekstrak kulit nanas yang berbeda terhadap komposisi kimia kerupuk kulit. Materi yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial dengan perlakuan 3x3 dan 4 kali ulangan. Faktor A adalah jenis bagian kulit (Punggung, perut, dan leher) dan faktor B lama perendaman yang berbeda (12, 24, 36, dan 48 jam). Variable penelitian meliputi kadar air, kadar protein, kadar lemak dan kadar abu. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 25.0 dan uji beda nyata terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tidak ada interaksi antara jenis bagian kulit dengan lama perendaman yang berbeda terhadap kualitas kimia kerupuk kulit sapi. Penggunaan jenis bagian kulit sapi dengan lama perendaman pada larutan kapur sirih dan ekstrak kulit nanas yang berbeda secara mandiri dapat mempengaruhi kadar air, kadar abu, dan kadar protein.Kata kunci: kulit, sapi, kapur sirih, nanas, kadar kimia Chemical Qualities of Cowhide Crackers on Different Skin Parts and Soaking Duration in Calcium Hydroxide and Pineapple Skin ExtractsABSTRACTEach animal has a different structure and part of skin type. Skin crackers are often used as a side dish because of their very crunchy texture. However, getting the best quality requires a longer time in the soaking process. This study aims to evaluate the effect of different types of skin with different duration of soaking in a solution of whiting and pineapple peel extract on the chemical composition of skin crackers. The material used was a completely randomized design with a factorial pattern with 3x3 treatment and 4 replications. Factor A was the type of skin part (back, stomach and neck) and factor B is different soaking times (12, 24, 36, and 48 hours). Research variables include water content, protein content, fat content, and ash content. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and the Least Significant Difference (BNT) test. The results showed that there was no interaction between different skin parts and soaking duration in calcium hydroxide and pineapple skin extracts on the chemical quality of cowhide crackers. The use of different types of cowhide skin with different soaking times in a solution of whiting and pineapple peel extract independently can affect the water content, ash content, and protein content.Keywords: leather, cow, whiting, pineapple, chemical conten
Performa Ayam Broiler dengan Ransum Campuran Tepung Eceng Gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) Terfermentasi Aspergillus niger
ABSTRACTEnceng gondok merupakan salah satu tumbuhan air yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif sumber protein hewani untuk ayam ras pedaging. Namun karena enceng gondok memiliki serat yang tinggi maka memerlukan pengolahan lebih lanjut seperti fermentasi sehingga bisa dimanfaatkan oleh ayam broiler untuk pertumbuhannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa ayam broiler yang diberi ransum eceng gondok fermentasi (Aspergillus niger) Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah penambahan tepung enceng gondok fermentasi dalam ransum yang terdiri dari 4 level yaitu 0, 2, 4 dan 6%. Variabel yang diuji adalah konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam dan uji Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung enceng gondok fermentasi sampai level 6% dalam ransum memberikan pengaruh tidak nyata (p>0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum ayam ras pedaging. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahan tepung enceng gondok yang difermentasi dengan dalam ransum belum dapat meningkatkan performa ayam broiler.Kata kunci: ayam broiler, tepung enceng gondok, performa, Aspergillus nigerPerformance of Broiler Chicken with Inclution Water Hyacinth Fermented with Aspergillus niger in RationABSTRACTWater hyacinth is one of the aquatic plants that can be used as an alternative source of animal protein for broilers. However, to be used as feed ingredients, it needs to be processed because of its high crude fiber. One of the ways is by fermentation method. The present study aimed to determine the effect of inclusion of water hyacinth fermented flour (WHFF) with Aspergillus niger in ration on performance in broilers chickens This study used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted 4 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments were the levels of inclusion of fermented water hyacinth flour in the ration which consisted of four levels namely 0, 2, 4, and 6%. The variables measured were feed intake (FI), body weight gain (BWG), and feed conversion ratio (FCR). The results showed that the inclusion of WHFF up to the level of 6% in the ration did not significantly (p>0.05) affect FI, BWG, and FCR. It can be concluded that the inclusion of WHFF up to a level of 6% in the ration could not able to improve the performance of broilers.Keywords: broiler chicken, water hyacinth, performance, Aspergillus nige
Penerimaan Nugget Ayam dengan Fortifikasi Tepung Cangkang Telur Ayam Ras
ABSTRAKAdanya kandungan kalsium pada cangkang telur ayam ras dapat ditambahkan pada produk pangan, salah satunya adalah nugget ayam yang dapat direkomendasikan sebagai pangan fungsional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan tepung cangkang telur ayam ras terhadap uji sensori dan analisa finansial nugget ayam. Rancangan percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 kali ulangan yaitu P0 (tanpa penambahan), P1 (0,15%), P2 (0,30%), dan P3 (0,45%) dari total bahan. Parameter penelitian yaitu uji sensori terhadap warna, aroma, rasa, tekstur dan daya terima serta analisa finansial yang terdiri dari biaya, penerimaan, pendapatan, Return Cost Ratio dan Break Event Point. Penentuan perlakuan terbaik dengan metode indeks efektivitas De Garmo. Penambahan tepung cangkang telur pada nugget ayam tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap warna, aroma dan rasa, tetapi berpengaruh pada tekstur dan daya terima. Perlakuan terbaik adalah penambahan 0,15% cangkang telur dengan skor warna 3,89, aroma 4,13, rasa 4,10, tekstur 4,49 dan daya terima 3,17. Analisis finansial yaitu total biaya Rp 1.310.330, penerimaan Rp 1.640.000, pendapatan Rp 329.670, R/C Rp 1,25, BEP harga Rp 13.103,30 dan BEP produksi 79,90 kemasan dan usaha dinilai layak untuk dilakukan. Kata kunci: pangan fungsional, nugget ayam, tepung cangkang telur,Acceptance of Chicken Nuggets with Chicken Egg Shell Flour FortificationABSTRACTThe calcium content of chicken egg shells can be additional ingredient in food products, one of which is chicken nuggets which can be recommended as functional food. This research aims to determine the effect of addition of chicken eggshells on sensory tests and financial analysis of chicken nuggets. The experimental design used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 5 replications, namely P0 (no addition), P1 (0,15%), P2 (0,30%), and P3 (0,45%) of the total material. The research parameters were sensory tests of color, aroma, taste, texture and acceptance, as well as financial analysis consisting of costs, revenues, income, Return Cost Ratio and Break Event Point. Determination of the best treatment with the De Garmo effectiveness index method. The addition of eggshell flour in chicken nuggets has no effect on color, aroma and taste, but had an effect on texture and acceptability. The best treatment was the addition of 0,15% egg shell with a color score of 3,89, aroma of 4,13, taste of 4,10, texture of 4,49 and acceptability of 3,17. Financial analysis was carried out consisting of a total cost of Rp 1.310.330, revenue of Rp 1.640.000, income of Rp 329.670 R/C Rp. 1,25, BEP for Rp 13.103,30 and BEP for the production of 79,90 sacket and the business is considered feasible to do. Efek Suplementasi Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) terhadap Produksi Telur dan Metabolit Darah Ayam Petelur
Solusi sumber protein alternatif untuk mengganti protein hewani konvensional dengan harga yang lebih kompetitif, yaitu Black Soldier Fly (BSF) (Hermetia illucens). Materi dalam penelitian ini ialah larva BSF yang digunakan melalui tiga perlakuan berbeda yaitu larva BSF dalam bentuk segar, tepung dan ekstrak metanol. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan yaitu P0 (pakal basal mengandung 8% tepung ikan), P1 (pakan basal mengandung 4% tepung ikan + 4% BSF segar), P2 (pakan basal mengandung 4% tepung ikan + 4% tepung BSF) dan P3 (pakan basal mengandung 4% tepung ikan + 4% ekstrak metanol BSF). Setiap perlakuan terdiri atas 5 ulangan dan setiap ulangan terdiri dari 5 ekor ayam petelur sehingga totalnya 100 ekor ayam petelur. Variabel yang diamati meliputi konsumsi pakan, berat telur, konversi pakan, metabolit darah dan Income Over Feed Cost (IOFC). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis sidik ragam ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ransum yang mengandung 4% tepung ikan dan 4% ekstrak metanol BSF (P3) berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap produksi telur (89.86 ± 4.78%), total protein darah (6,95 ± 0,56 g dl-1), kadar albumin darah (3,19 ± 0,98 g dl-1), kadar glukosa darah (313,45 ± 1.38 g dl-1), dan berpengaruh (P<0,05) terhadap IOFC, BSF segar (P1) mendapatkan keuntungan maksimal sebesar Rp. 1776 ekor/ minggu.Kata Kunci: ayam petelur, Hermetia illucens, IOFC, metabolit darahThe Effect of Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) Supplementation on Laying Hens’s Egg Production and Blood MetabolitesABSTRACTThe solution of alternative protein source form to replace conventional animal protein at a competitive price was Black Soldier Fly (BSF) (Hermetia illucens). The material in this study was BSF larvae which were used and arranged in three different treatments, such as BSF larvae in fresh, dry, and methanol extract. The method was used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments, namely P0 (basal feed + 8% fish meal), P1 (basal feed + 4% fish meal + 4% fresh BSF), P2 (basal feed + 4% fish meal + 4% flour BSF) and P3 (basal feed + 4% fish meal + 4% methanol extract BSF). Each treatment consisted of 5 replications with 5 layer hens per replicate. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The results showed the P3 treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on egg production (89.86 ± 4.78%), total blood protein (6.95 ± 0.56 g dl-1), blood albumin levels (3.19±0.98 g dl-1), blood glucose levels (313.45 ± 1.38 g dl-1), and significant effect (P<0,05) on IOFC, but fresh BSF (P1) gets a maximum profit of 1776 IDR/bird/week.Keywords: laying hen, hermetia illucens, IOFC, blood metabolit
Dialil n-Sulfida Organik Menurunkan Kadar Lipid Plasma Darah dan Hati Itik Cihateup Fase Grower
ABSTRAK Dialil n-Sulfida organic sangat berpotensial sebagai imbuhan pakan dalam mencegah lipogenic pada unggas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji potensi dialil n-sulfida dalam menghambat biosinsisi lipid pada itik cihateup. Dua ratus itik cihateup berumur 12 minggu telah digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Sampel itik cihateup dibagi ke dalam 4 kelompok perlakuan, masing-masing D0, tanpa Dialil n-Sulfida (Dn-S); D1, 50 µL/sampel; D2, 100 µL/sampel dan D3, 150 µL/sampel. Pemberian dilakukan dengan cara oral selama dua bulan percobaan. Dn-S diisolasi dengan teknik distilasi bertingkat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian dialil n-sulfida organik 150 µL/ekor/hari efektif menurunkan dan memperbaiki kondisi lipid plasma dan hati. Disimpulkan bahwa bahwa Dialil n-Sulfida (Dn-S), mampu menurunkan aktivitas lipogenesis dengan ditandai menurunnnya lipid plasma darah dan hati (khususnya TAG), serta meningkatnya kadar NEFA yang beredar dalam sistem sirkulasi. Dn-S juga mampu meningkatkan aktivitas transport lipid yaitu HDL, sehingga menurunkan kolesterol dalam system sirkulasi tapi meningkatkan depositnya di dalam jaringan hati.Kata kunci: Dialil n-Sulfida, itik, lipidOrganic Dialil n-Sulfide Decrease Lipid in Blood Plasm and Liver of Cihateup Grower DuckABSTRACT Organic diallyl n-sulfide is very potential as a feed additive in preventing lipogenic in poultry. This study aims to examine the potential of diallyl n-sulfide in inhibiting lipid biosynthesis in cihateup ducks. Two hundred cihateup ducks aged 12 weeks were used in this study. Cihateup duck samples were divided into four treatment groups, each D0, without diallyl n-sulfide (Dn-S); D1, 50 µL / sample; D2, 100 µL sample and D3, 150 µL/sample, administered orally for two months of the study. Dn-S was isolated by the stratified distillation technique. Based on the results of the study showed that the administration of organic diallyl n-sulfide 150 µL/sample/ day was effective in reducing and improving the condition of plasma and liver lipids. It was concluded that diallyl n-sulfide (Dn-S) was able to reduce lipogenesis activity indicated by decreasing blood plasma and liver lipids (especially TAG), as well as increasing levels of NEFA circulating in the circulatory system. Dn-S is also able to increase lipid transport activity, namely HDL, thereby reducing cholesterol in the circulatory system but increasing its deposit in the liver tissue.Keywords: Diallyl n-Sulfide, duck, lipi
Strategi Pengembangan Usaha Peternakan Babi (Studi Kasus di CV. Adhi Farm Kabupaten Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah)
ABSTRAKPemilihan strategi dalam pengembangan usaha peternakan babi menjadi tombak untuk menghadapi persaingan yang ada di lingkungan usaha. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi strategi alternatif dan menentukan prioritas strategi terbaik dalam pengembangan usaha peternakan babi di CV. Adhi Farm Kabupaten Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode studi kasus. Pemilihan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara purposive (sengaja). Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis Internal-Eksternal (IE), analisis SWOT dan QSPM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh beberapa strategi alternatif yang dapat digunakan diantaranya dengan optimalisasi jumlah populasi ternak, meningkatkan konsumen atau pelanggan dengan mengunggulkan performa yang baik pada ternak, memperluas kandang pemeliharaan dengan memanfaatkan respon yang baik dari masyarakat, mempertahankan littersize diatas 7 dan peningkatan manajemen breeding, memaksimalkan pemanfaatan pengolahan limbah padat untuk menambah income, mengembangkan sistem pemasaran, memaksimalkan manajemen pemeliharaan ternak secara intensif, serta meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Prioritas strategi terbaik yang bisa dilakukan oleh CV. Adhi Farm, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java ProvinceABSTRACTThe study aims to determine the appropriate alternative strategy as well as to find out the best strategic priorities of CV. Adhi Farm. This research was conducted at the pig farm of CV. Adhi Farm is located in Karanganyar Residence, Central Java Province. The research method used was a case study. Data were analyzed by using Internal-External (IE) analysis, SWOT analysis, and QSPM. The research results showed that there were several alternative strategies can be used, namely: maximize the demand of pig with a massive population, offering the quality of pig to increase the amount of customer, expand the raising of pen area, maintain well breeding management with litter size scaled up to 7, increase the profit by maximize solid waste processing and promote to loyal customer, expand the market system that can compete with surround area, and optimized the human resources. Indonesian Ongole Cattle Rural Breeders Income Based on Marketing Channel Analysis
Beef cattle are essential among Indonesian farmers as supporting assets and livelihood through cattle breeding especially for rural breeders with the most preferred breed is Indonesian Ongole cattle known as PO cattle. It is essential to analyze and determine the PO cattle rural breeders' income based on the marketing channel analysis. The study aimed to determine the marketing channel's efficiency and the PO cattle rural breeders' income. This study site was Bojonegoro regency, stipulated as The National Agricultural Site of beef cattle commodity in the East Java Province. Ninety-three respondents were chosen based on a stratified random sampling of marketing channel stakeholders. This is a quantitative descriptive study with a cross-sectional survey method. Marketing channel analysis and marketing efficiency analysis compare with the PO cattle price level using descriptive statistical analysis. The result shows six marketing channels involve in delivering PO cattle to the last consumer as beef meat. It can be concluded that the fourth marketing channel is the most efficient marketing channel that gives the highest income for PO cattle rural breeders.Keywords: Marketing efficiency, National Agricultural Site, PO cattle, price, rural breeder
