Pengaruh Beberapa Jenis Herbisida yang Diaplikasikan Berbeda Dosis Dan Waktu Terhadap Kualitas Benih Kedelai Di Musim Penghujan
The Influence of Various Kinds of Herbicide Applicated at Different Dosages and Times on Soybean Seed Quality in Rainy SeasonABSTRACT. The experiment was carried out to study the influence of various kinds of herbicide at different dosages and times on soybean seed quality in rainy season. The experimental was conducted at PT Syngenta, Cikampek, West Java. This experimental was arranged in the split-split plot based of randomized block design with 2 replications. The main plot was the time application consists of: R6, R7, and R8 phase. The sub-plot was the application doses of the herbicide that consists of: no herbicide, lower dosage, medium dosage, and higher dose. The response observed covers the seeds water content at harvesting, seeds viability, seeds vigor, the percentage of winkle seed, the weight of 100 seeds and the yield per plot. The result shows that the application of paraquat at lower dose and at R7 nd R8 phase yielding the highest quality compared to any other treatment
Efektivitas Campuran Metolachlor dan Pendimethalin Terhadap Gulma di pertanaman Kedelai (Glycine max L. Merril)
Effectiveness Mix of Metolachlor and Pendimethalin on Weed on Soybean (Glycine max L. Merril) AreaABSTRACT. Weed management is an integral part of soybean production. In order to select the most appropriate herbicide or devise the optimum weed control system, one must be able or properly identify the weed present within a field. Research was aimed to find out influence of mixture two herbicide, with under herbicide dosage to weed and yield of soybean. Field experiment was conducted on Inceptisol from February 2006 until May 2006 at station research Agriculture Faculty Padjajaran University, 700 m above sea level. The factorial experiment was carried out in randomized complete block design with two replications. The first factors-metolachlor (doses of herbicide a.i. 0,0; 0,75; 1,50; and 2,25 kg ha-1). Application showed that herbicide metolachlor and pendimethalin had single or mixture on the studied gave higher percentage of weeds covered, and weed dry matter were lower comparison. The mixture metolachlor and pendimethalin can increased dry of yield compared to herbicide single application

Impact of Land Rehabilitation by Arbuscule Mycorrhizae Fungi (AMF) and Organic Matter for Tsunami-Affected Land on the Availability of Soil P, Growth and P Uptake of MaizeABSTRACT. Phosphor, a macro element, is often a problem especially in tropical regions not only because its content in soil but also its availability. This problem also occurred at tsunami-affected land. Both micorrhizae and organic matter able to improve soil quality, include by improving nutrient status of soil. The aim of this work were to examine the effect of AM fungi and organic matter on availability of soil P and N and P uptake of maize at the tsunami-affected land. This work was arranged in Factorial Randomized Block Design with three replication. The results were both AMF inoculation and organic matter affected the availability of soil P not significantly. The dry weight of upper crop and P uptake of maize were influenced by interaction of these treatments high significantly while the dry weight of root was affected significantly

Effectiveness of In Vitro Inhibitor Effects of Botanical Pesticides on Growth of Some Pepper Seed Born Pathogens ColoniesABSTRACT. Recently, the use of bio-pesticides significantly increases to control some plant diseases due to the drawback of chemical pesticides to environment. Some experiment have been done to evaluate the effectiveness of some vegetable oil as bio-pesticides to inhibit the colony growth of pepper seed born pathogens in vitro. Various concentrations of vegetable oil were added onto potato dextrose agar medium (PDA), afterward, the growth of pathogen colony in treatment was compared to control (medium without vegetable oil). Evaluation was done in certain period time depend on the growth of every pathogen colony Among the vegetable soil tested, clove oil and Andropogon nardus oil showed a very high inhibitory effect to colony growth of P. capsici, C. capsici, F. oxyporum, R solani, and S. rolfsii. Concentration 0.01% of those oil already inhibited the colony growth of all pathogens more than 75%, with the exception of A. nardus oil which required 0.03% to inhibit C. capsici colony. Concentration of clove and A. nardus oil above 0.01% completely inhibited growth of all pathogens colonies, except for F. oxyporum. Meanwhile, others vegetable oil like Curcuma xanthorrhiza, Kaempferia galangal, Kaempferia pandurata, and Curcuma domestica oil have a low inhibitory effect on growth of all pathogens colonies. To get inhibitory effect more than 75% on the growth of colonies, those vegetable oil needed concentration higher than 0.02%. However, K. galangal and C. domestica required 0.02% oil concentration for P. capsici and S. rolfsii, respectively

The Status of Phosphour Due To The Inoculation Of Mycorhiza Arbuscula on Various Soil Order On Tea PlantationABSTRACT. To increasing tea crop production and reducing of chemical fertilizer of growth of tea at the same time adjustment of technology of plantation by environmental friendliness of CMA inoculation and usage tea factory waste (fluff) at three tea plantation soil orders. The research aim obtain get CMA which compatible on tea plantation, to knows influence of CMA inoculation and giving compost of fluff to rate nutrient landground, growth and absorption of nutrient and also the improving colonization of CMA at tea crop root. This attempt is arranged Completely Block Design (CBD) of factorial. As first factor was soil orders: which consist of Andisols, Inceptisols and of Entisols. As second factor was CMA inoculation: consist of without inoculation, inoculation with CMA Andisol indigenous, inoculation with CMA inceptisols indigenous, inoculation with CMA Entisol indigenous, inoculation with Glomus fasciculatum, and of inoculation with Gigaspora margarita. While third factor is compost measuring of fluff, without compost, and 20 ton ha-1. From result of third isolation of plantation landground found CMA gender of Glomus sp, inoculation CMA influence rata of nutrient of P, growth of tea crop, absorption of nutrient of P. Indigenous CMA give rate of nutrient P, absorption and growth better of inoculation with CMA non-indigenous. Inoculation Glomus fasciculatum give of rate nutrient of P, growth, and absorption better with inoculation Gigaspora margarita. Giving of compost fluff with 10-15 ton ha-1 real improve rate of nutrient of P, growth of tea and absorption of nutrient P
Efektivitas Ekstrak Umbi Bawang Putih (Allium sativum L.) untuk Mengendalikan Hama Crocidolonia pavonana F. pada Tanaman Sawi
ABSTRACT. Crocidolomia pavonana F. is an important pest on mustards. Damage caused by this pest could be 100 percent if not controlled. Objective of the research was to find an effective concentration of garlic extract to control C. pavonana F. The research was the conducted at Experimental Farm of Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh. Treatments were arranged by Completely Randomized Block Design (CRD) non factorial with 7 level concentrations based on LC50 of 20.69 ml L-1 or 20.69 percent. The concentrations of treatment were 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 ml L-1 of water. The treatment was replication four times. The result showed that the garlic extracts were effective to control C. pavonana. Observation on larva mortality was carried out until the end of larva period of 3 day after applicatio
Karakteristik Tumbuh dan Hasil Empat Varietas Kedelai pada Berbagai Dosis Bokhasi pada Tanah Gambut Pedalaman
Growth Characteristic and Yield of Four Varieties of Soybean Under Different Dosage of Bokhasi in Inland Peat SoilABSTRACT. The purpose of this research was to study the effect of various rate of bokhasi on growth characteristic and yield of four varieties of soybean in inland peat soil. Experiment was carried out at Agriculture Faculty Experiment Station of Palangkaraya University, from Mei to September 2005, Experiment used was randomized completely design of factorial pattern with two factors, that is: variety (Wilis, Baluran, Anjasmoro, and Sibayak); bokhasi (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 ton ha-1). Result of the experiment showed that Anjasmoro variety more adaptive in inland peat soil and gave the good responses to bokhasi than Wilis, Baluran, and Sibayak. Net Assimilation Rate (NAR), Relative Growth Rate (RGR) increased as affected by bokhasi until 15 ton ha-1. On the other hand, application of 15 and 20 ton ha-1 bokhasi gave highest yield, that is 4,87-5,13 g per plant

Correlation and Peat Analysis of Leaf Characters and Physiology to yield to Four Environments of Organic Swallow Guano FertilizerABSTRACT. An experiment to estimate correlation and path analysis of leaf characters to yield of four micro environments (without organic fertilizer and three rate of organic fertilizer) was conducted at Arjasari Experiment Station, Agriculture Faculty, Padjajaran University from January 2003 to August 2003, in 26 soybean genotypes and Wilis at four levels of organic swallow guano fertilizer. The level of organic fertilizer were: without swallow guano, 225, 450, and 675 kg ha-1 swallow guano. Each environment was arranged in completely randomized block design, replicated two times, check genotype (wilis) was planted between six genotypes for each replication. Result of this experiment showed that: leaf number did not have any correlation wit net assimilation rate (NAR). Leaf angle (LA), stomatal length (SL) and stomata frequency (SF) had a negatively correlation with NAR, whereas DTDW and chlorophyll (Chl) were positively correlated to NAR: NAR, seed fiiling period (SFP) and dry matter accumulation rate (DMAR) were positively correlated to yield, and high path coefficient was found either between DTDW and NAR, or between SFP and yield

Analysis Introduction of Trichoderma harzianum and Bokhasi Fertilizer to Sclerotium rolfsii on Soybean PlantationABSTRACT. The activity of the antagonist agent T. harzianum in reduction the development of S. rolfsii on the soybean plantation could be simultanted by application bokhasi fertilizer. The aim of the experiment was to study the effect og introducting of biological agent T. harzianum and application bokhasi fertilizer to S. rolfsii development on the soybean plantation. The study was carried out in BLP Ulee Kareng and experiment garden of Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, using a Factorial Completely Randomized Design with nine treatment and three replication. Variable observed by incubation periods, pre emergence damping off, post emergence damping off, and the length of the lesion colour basic stem. The result showed that the effect of the application of the combination between biocontrol agent with bokhasi fertilizer can be reducing S. rolfsii development on the soybean. The best treatment to control sclerotium wilt were the combination between T. harzianum 16 g/polybag with bokhasi fertilizer 80 g/polybag
