    Spesies Nematoda Habitat Pada Pohon Pinus Mati Akibat Terserang Penyakit Layu Nematoda (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus).ABSTRAK. Spesies-spesies nematode habitat pada pohon pinus mati akibat terserang nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus) telah diisolasi dan diidentifikasi. Lima belas spesies nematode telah terdeteksi, diantaranya (i) lima spesies nematode mycophagus: B. xylophilus, Bursaphilenchus n. sp., dan B. sinensis, Tylencida sp. 1, Tylencida sp. 2; (ii) Sembilan spesies nematode saprophagus: Diplogasterida sp. 1, Diplogasterida sp. 2, Diplogasterida sp. 3, Diplogasterida sp. 4, Monhisterida sp. 1, Monhisterida sp.2, Rhabditida sp. 1, Rhabditida sp. 2, Plectidae sp.; dan (iii) satu spesies nematode predator yaitu Mononchida sp. Dari setiap waktu pengamatan nematode B. xylophilus ditemukan merupakan spesies nematode yang paling dominan, dan diikuti oleh spesies Diplogasterida sp. 1

    Morphology Characteristics of Vegetatif Phase on Several Varieties Pangkep Pummelo (Citrus maxima) with Mini Grafting TechniqueABSTRACT. The main objective of this research was to learning several stump effect to morphology characteristics of vegetatif phase of several varieties pangkep pummelo and to know various stump was compatible to growty support several pummelo pangkep. The project was conducted in green house and laboratory of Politani Pangkep, South Sulawesi from April to November 2007. The experiment was design in randomized block design consisted of two factors. Firstly, several entres pummelo i.e. pangkep merah, pangkep putih and sigula-gula. The second factor was several stump various pummelo i.e. swingle citrumelo, pangkep merah, pangkep putih and si gula-gula. The result showed pangkep merah pummelo have better vigor was use entres or stump. All growth variants show pangkep merah pummelo induced statistically significant effect (caulis diameter, bud length bud, sum bud, leaf area, root length, moisture content of root and tree)

    Co-Inoculation Rhizobium and Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria on Acid Mineral Soil to Enhance Seedling Growth of SengonABSTRACT. Study of coinoculation between rhizobium and solubilizing phosphate bacteria was done in greenhouse. The aim of the study to find their effect to seedling growth of sengon in Ultisol and Inceptisol. The study used factorial split plot design and three replication. As a treatment were kind of soil and inoculation of rhizobium and phosphate solubilizing bacteria. As a control was not inoculation, with nitrogen fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer. The result showed that co-inoculation between rhizobium and phosphate solubilizing bacteria could enhance seedling growth of sengon in Ultisol and Inceptisol. As compared between co-inoculation and inoculation with rhizobium or phosphate solubilizing alone, showed that the similar result in Ultisol. While Inceptisol, inoculation with Rhizobium and phosphate solubilizing bacteria better than co-inoculation

    Changes of Physical Properties of Entisols and Yield of Peanut Affectedby Organic Matter and Phosphate FertilizerABSTRACT. A plot experiment was conducted in the field which objective was to study the effect of organic matter and phosphate fertilizer application on the change of physical properties of entisols and yield of peanut. Experimental treatment were arranged in the block random factorial design. There kinds of organic matter were animal manure, rice straw and peanut straw. The first factor were 0 ton ha-1 of organic matter, 20 ton ha-1 of animal manure, 20 ton ha-1 of rice straw and 20 ton ha-1 of peanut straw, the other factor was SP-36 dosage; there were 0, 60, and 120 kg ha-1. Each treatment was replicated three times. The result showed that organic matter and SP-36 application influenced to physical properties of Entisols i.e. decreased soil bulk density, increased total of soil porosity, available water porosity, soil aggregate stability index, soil aggregation and dry legume weight ha-1. The applications of 20 ton rice straw ha-1 was the optimum dosage on the application of 108.50 kg of SP-36 ha-1, with the maximum dry legume yield of 3.02 ton ha-1

    Response of Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) Pollination to Honey Bees (Aphis cerana) and Crop PopulationABSTRACT. High percentage of empty seed most problem sunflower cultivation in Indonesian, less native pollinators may be caused. Grown sunflower in the beekeepers state can be raising sum of fully seeds per head, in the other hand sunflower crops was source of nectar and pollen. The objective of this research was study response of sunflower with expression of percentage of empty seeds and seeds yield to be present honey-bees. The research was conducted in Buanasakti village, Batanghari sub-district, West Lampung district from December 2007 to March 2008. The treatment was distance between beekeepers state (in the stable: 0, 2, and 4 km) and number of plant population per ha (40,000, 60,000, and 80,000 plants). The conclusion was: (1) in the beekeepers state was produce number of branch was higher 124% and 32% than 4 km and 2 km from beekeepers state, respectively: percentage of empty seeds, dry seed per plot and harvest index in the beekeepers state was increasing 199%, 215,47% and 32.36% than 4 km from beekeepers state, (2) The population of 80,000 plant per ha was increasing dry weight of seeds per plot was higher than 60,000 and 40,000 plant per ha, and (3) in each state was difference number of population caused number of flowering date and head diameter prominent was significantly

    Root Growth, Development and Yield of Mungbean in Various Soil Tillage Systems on Irrigated Low Land Fertilized by PABSTRACT. The experiment was carried out to observe root growth and development, and yield of mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) on irrigated low land as a result of P dosages application and various soil tillage systems. Field experiment was carried out at Kedaloman village, Tanggamus regency of Lampung Province. Field experiment used a split plot pattern in randomized block design. The main plot were soil tillage systems which consisted of tree levels, those were intensive tillage, maximum tillage and no-tillage; and subplot was P dosages which consisted of four levels, those were 0, 9.9, 19.8, and 29.7 kg ha-1 P. The experiment result showed that soil tillage system had no significant effect on length and number of root, volume of root nodule. The highest yield of dry grain was 1.545,1729 g (1,9315 ton ha-1) obtained at optimum dosage 18,0740 kg ha-1 P

    Weed-Crop Growth Analysis and Yield of Corn with Groundnut and Mungbean of Varying Plant Population in Intercropping SystemABSTRACT. The present experiment is designed to evaluated the weed-crop growth of intercrop between corn with mungbean and groundnut of varying plant populations. The experimental used the single factor field experiment that arranged with randomized completely block design with three block as replication. Intercropping followed additive series system, i.e.: (A) corn 100% + mungbean 25%, (B) corn 100% + mungbean 50%, (C) corn 100% + mungbean 75%, (D) corn 100% + groundnut 25%, corn 100% + groundnut 50%, (F) corn 100% + groundnut 75%. Experimental result showed that: Intercropping corn with groundnut and mungbean of able to weed growth suppressed of sedges, and Intercropping crop with groundnut at 75% rate of recommended population weed growth suppressed of total weeds compared to the other three mungbean populations. Intercropping corn with groundnut at 25% of recommended rate gave the highest sweet corn yield per hectare

    Application of Different Dosage of Glyphosate and Paraquat Herbicides and Their Effect on the Growth of Milky Weed (Calotropis gigantean R. Br)ABSTRACT. The study on application the different dosages of glyphosate and paraquat herbicides and their effect on the growth milky weed (Calotropis gigantean) has been conducted at Experimental station, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam, Banda Aceh. The treatment were arranged in a completely randomized bloc design (CRD) manner with two factors. The first factor was the dosages of herbicides which were 0 kg a.i/ha, 0,4 kg a.i/ha, 0,8 kg a.i/ha, and 1,2 kg a.i/ha. The second one was the different herbicides which were glyphosate and paraquat. The result showed that the dosages of the 0,8 kg a.i/ha significantly increased the percentage of milky weed control, suppressed the height of milky weed 21 days of application (DAA), reduced the diameter of milky weed stem and decreased the dry weight of milky weed. The type of the herbicides and different dosages used interactively affected the percentage of milky weed control and the diameter of milky weed stem on 21 days of application (DAA). The paraquat herbicide applied with dosage of 1,2 kg a.i/ha significantly increased the percentage of milky weed control and suppressed the diameter of milky weed stem

    The Correlation Test and Path Analysis of Antrachnose Disease Resistance of Pepaya ABSTRACT. The aims of this research were to estimate the correlation coefficient among agronomic traits on antrachnose disease resistance of papaya and evaluate the direct and indirect effects of those traits on antrachnose disease resistance of papaya. The result showed that fruit length, flesh thickness, percent symptoms had positive correlation to severity disease and dry of fruit ripe, percent TSS, flesh fimness had negative correlation to severity disease. Path analysis applied an agronomic and resistance character on antachnose disease resiistance indicated that antrachnose disease resistance was directly affected by percent symptom. The largest compound path coefficient of agronomic traits on antrachnose disease resistance that percent TSS and flesh thickness via percent symptom

When introduce an exotic insect species as a biological agent thought cause non-target impacts, directly or indirectly, on local plants species. The objective of this research is to evaluate the potency of nontarget impacts of introducing Neochetina eichhorniae on local plants aquatic communities. The results of the research indicated that the weevil showed a high preference and host specific on waterhyacinth, and so far the house shifting was not occur. Insitu observation showed that this biological agent was not found in any others aquatic and non aquatic plants living around water areas.
