    ABSTRACT. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menentukan efektivitas jarak tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk hayati terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tumpang sari tomat dan bawang merah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jarak tanam berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman pada 10 dan 55 HST, jumlah buah dan bobot total tanaman tomat. Terdapat interaksi antara jarak tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk hayati terdapat tinggi tanaman pada 55 HST, rata-rata bobot buah per tanaman tomat. Tanaman tomat tertinggi pada 55 HST dijumpai pada perlakuan jarak tanam 60cmx60cm tanpa pemberian pupuk hayati memberikan dan jarak tanam 70cmx60cm dengan pemberian pupuk hayati sebanyak 2% memberikan rata-rata bobot buah tomat tertinggi.Growth and Yield of Intercropping Tomato (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.) and Onion (Allium esculentum L.) due to Different Spacing and Concentration of BiofertilizerABSTRACT. The objective of study were to determine the effective row-spacing and concentration of biofertilizer on growth and yield of intercropping tomato and onion. The result showed that the row spacing have significant effect on height of tomato tree at 10 and 55 DAP, amount of fruit and total weight of per tomato plant. Their were significant interaction between row spacing and concentration of biofertilizer on height at 55 DAP and average weight of fruit per plant of tomato. The row spacing 60 cm x 60 cm and 0% of biofertilizer gave the highest height of tomato tree at 55DAP and row spacing 70 cm x 60 cm with 2% biofertilizer gave heaviest average of weight of tomato fruit per plant

    Karakterisasi Plasma Nutfah Padi Lokal Aceh untuk Perakitan Varietas Adaptif pada Tanah Masam

    ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi sifat agro-morfologi dan mengidentifikasi plasma nutfah padi local Aceh yang dapat beradaptasi baik pada tanah masam. Jumlah aksesi yang dievaluasi adalah 33 aksesi. Tinggi bibit pada umur 15 Hari Setelah Tanam dari varietas yang dievaluasi berkisar dari 20-40 cm. Jumlah anakan pada fase bibit berkisar antara 1 sampai 6 anakan. Tanaman terpendek yang mempunyai tinggi 90 cm adalah Kuku Balam 1 dan Tuwoti, sedangkan tanaman yang berbatang tinggi adalah Rangan dan Dupa, masing-masing secara berturut-turut mencapai 156 dan 151 cm. Warna pangkal batang umumnya hijau dan berwarna ungu serta ungu bergaris, varietas yang memiliki pangkal batang ungu adalah Cirata, Sirias, Ramos, Tition, sedangkan yang ungu bergaris adalah Cantek Puteh. Hasil uji toleransi plasma nutfah padi Aceh pada tanah masam diperoleh 9 aksesi varietas local Aceh toleran (skor 1-3). Varietas tersebut adalah Sikuneng, Leukat Jeurejak, Sambei, Bo Santeut, Leukat Adang, Itam Tangke, Pade Kapai, dan Lekat Panah. Varietas yang tergolong peka adalah Kuku Balam 1, Kuku Balam 2, Sigudang, Situ Bagendit, Cirata, Rasi Putih, Bo Padang, Danau Gaung, Limboti, Kepala Gajah Kinco, Pineung, Bo Rayek, Sirias, dan Ramos Tition.Characterization of Aceh Rice Germplasm for Developing Adapted Variety in Acid SoilsABSTRACT. The aims of this work were to make a morpho-agronomic characterization and to identify of the Aceh rice germplasm with a good adapted in acid soils. The total accession rice for evaluation were 33 varieties. The higher of seedling for evaluation were approximately 20-40 cm after 15 days planting. The number of tiller were 1-6 tillers. Kuku Balam-1 and Towoti variety showed 90 cm short plants, whereas Rangan and Dupa variety tallest which have been 156 and 151 respectively. Generally, the color of starting point was green, purple or purple with lines. The purple starting point were Cirata, Sirias, and Ramos Tition. Cantek Puteh variety was purples lines variety. The Aceh rice germplasm showed that 9 variety were tolerant to acid soils (skor 1-3). That variety were Sikuneng, Leukat Jeureujak, Sambei, Bo Santeut, Leukat Adang, Itam Tangke, Pade Kapai, and Leukat Panah.     ABSTRAK. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membandingkan kualitas susu sapi perah dengan pakan hijauan klobot jagung, pakan hijauan rumput lapangan dan kombinasi pakan hijauan klobot jagung dan hijauan rumput lapangan dengan standar kualitas susu sesuai Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 01-3141-1998) di lokasi peternakan Kebon Pedes Bogor, serta untuk mebgetahui kandungan residu pestisida pada susu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sejak Juli sampai September 2008. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan Sembilan sampel susu, 3 sampel susu dari pakan hijauan klobot jagung, 3 sampel susu dari pakan hijauan lapangan dan 3 sampel gabungan. Peubah yang diamati adalah densitas susu, kandungan lemak bukan padat, kandungan protein susu, kandungan lemak susu, dan kandungan bahan kering dalam susu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas kimia susu dari pakan hijauan klobot jagung, pakan hijauan rumput lapangan, dan kombinasi keduanya masih sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 01-3141-1998).Physical and Chemical Quality Analysis of Milk from Dairy Cows Fed by Corn Husks from Organic Waste of Traditional MarketABSTRACT. The objective of this research was to compare the quality of milk taken from dairy cows fed by corn husks, grass and mix of corn husks and grass with standard of milk quality according Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 01-3141-1998) at Kebon Pedes dairy farm Bogor, and to examine the content of pesticide residue in milk. This research was conducted from July until September 2008. Nine sample of milk, with three sample from dairy farm that use corn husks as roughages, three sample from dairy farm that use grass and three other from dairy farm that use mix of corn husks and grass were used in this research. Density of milk, solid non fat content, milk protein content, milk fat content, and dry matters content in milk were observed as research variable. Descriptive statistical analysis was used in this research. The results showed that chemical quality of milk from dairy cows fed by corn husks, grass and mix of corn husks and grass still met with the quality of milk according to Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI 01-3141-1998)

    ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pemangsaan C. coeruleus terhadap kutu putih papaya P. marginatus. Masing-masing predator dari setiap tahap perkembangan diberi mangsa pada kondisi dengan pilihan dan tanpa pilihan stadia mangsa, selama 24 jam. Pada uji tanpa pilihan, seluruh instar predator secara nyata (P0,001) lebih banyak memangsa nimfa instar I. Begitu pula pada uji pilihan bebas, nimfa kutu putih instar I lebih banyak yang dimangsa oleh setiap predator dibandingkan nimfa instar lainnya (P0,001). Tingkat pemangsaan yang lebih tinggi diperlihatkan oleh larva predator instar III dan IV. Kemampuan mangsa menurun setelah larva predator berubah menjadi imago. Pada uji pilihan bebas, tidak ada imago betina kutu putih papaya yang dimangsa predator. Hasil pengamatan tambahan mengungkapkan bahwa predator C. coeruleus dapat memangsa telur-telur yang dibungkus dalam ovisak. Dengan memilih lebih banyak mangsa yang lebih muda, predator diduga dapat menekan biaya penanganan dan metabolisme akan mangsa. Sehingga eneri yang diperoleh dari pemangsaan menjadi lebih besar. Dalam rangka pengendalian P. marginatus oleh C. coeruleus, maka predator tersebut akan efektif menekan populasi mangsa yang berumur muda. Pada kerapatan 1 ovisak per tanaman, kematian tanaman terjadi dalam waktu 30 hari setelah infestasi; sementara pada kerapatan 4 ovisak kematian tanaman terjadi dalam waktu 10 hari setelah infestasi. Keberadaan 1 ekor predator larva instar IV per tanaman tidak mampu menghentikan kerusakan dan kematian tanaman.Predation Curinus coeruleus Mulsant (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) of Paracoccus marginatus Williams Granara de Willink (Hemiptera: Pseudococcidae)ABSTRACT. This study aimed to study predation C. coeruleus on the infestation papaya white P. marginatus. Each predators of each developmental stage were prey to the conditions with and without a choice selection of stadia prey, for 24 hours. In the test without the option, the entire instar predators significantly (P 0.001) more prey instar nymphs I. Similarly, in free choice test, I instar nymphs more white flea many were wiped out by predators than any other instar nymphs (P 0.001). Higher level of predation exhibited by predator instar larvae III and IV. The ability of predators to prey decreased after the larvae turn into imago. In free choice test, there are no female imago white lice are eaten by predators papaya. Additional observations revealed that the predator C.coeruleus may prey on the eggs are encased in ovisak. By choosing younger prey, predators could be expected to recude the cost of handling and metabolism will be prey. So that the energy gained from predation is greater. In order to control P. marginatus by C. coeruleus, the predators will be effective in suppressing the prey population aged youth. In an ovisak density per plant, plant death occurs within 30 days after infestation, while the density of 4 plants ovisak deaths occurred within 10 days after infestation. One predator (instar larval IV) is not able to stop the destruction and death of plants

    Exploration and Characterization of Mango Variety Resist of Cork bore in Nanggroe Aceh DarussalamABSTRACT. The basic knowledge about mango resistance of trunk bore in the field and laboratory is early step to make mango resistance breeding. The result of research could be positive correlation between resistance character and commercial character. The research consisted two parts, survey of varieties of mango on field and the resistance test of trunk borer of mango on laboratory. The survey was done by characterization of mango varieties on Aceh Besar and Banda Aceh. The laboratory research was held by varieties of mango (Arumanis, Gadung, Golek, Cengkeh, Apel and Local) the test of resistance of trunk borer of mango. All treatment was assigned in Completely Randomized Design with 3 replications. The observation was done on characterization of mango varieties, percent of damage, damage index, insect identification and soluble solids contents. This result showed that there are six varieties of mango (Arumanis, Cengkeh, Gadung, Apel, Golek and Local (cengkir) has be found on Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar. Percent damage of trunk borer of mango on Aceh Besar (50-100%) and intensity of damage (10-60%). Percent damage (0-100%) and intensity of damage (0-30%) on Banda Aceh is Lower than Aceh Besar. The soluble solid contents of mature fruit of Golek, Gadung, Cengkeh and Arumanis 13.90-15.68 0brix) higher than Apel and Local (11.54 and 12.72 0brix).     The Effect of Lamtorogung Manure (Leucaena leucocephala) and Planting Spacing on Growth and Yield of Tomatoes (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill.)ABSTRACT. The aim of this study was to find out the effect of dosages of lamtorogung manure and planting spacing, and interaction between them, on both growth and yield of tomatoes. Treatments were arranged by Factorial Completely Randomized Block Design 3 x 3 with 3 replications. Factors evaluated were dosage of lamtorogung manure (15, 25 and 35 ton ha-1) and planting spacing (50 cm x 60 cm, 50 cm x 70 cm and 50 cm x 80 cm). Variables observed were the height of plant and diameter of the lower end of stem at 15, 30 and 45 days after planting, the number of fruits per plant (3 times harvest), the weight of fruits per plant, and diameter of fruit. The result of the study indicated that dosage of lamtorogung manure of 25 ton ha-1 was the best for the highest tomato yield, and planting spacing of 50 cm x 80 cm was the best for both plants growth and yield. There was no interaction between both treatments towards growth and yield

    Effect of Concentration Nasa Organic Liquid Fertilizer and Growth Regulator Atonic and Plant Growth and Yield and Yield Ground PeanutABSTRACT. The aim of this research was to study effect on Nasa organic fertilizer concentration and atonik growth regulator on growth and yield ground peanut. The experimental design was completely block randomized design with two factor and three replications. The two factor investigated were Nasa liquid organic fertilizer concentration (1 ml/l, 2 ml/l, 3 ml/l of water) and Atonik growth regulator concentration (1 ml/l, 2 ml/l, 3 ml/l of water). Result showed that Nasa organic liquid fertilizer concentration highly significant different affected on plant height 45 and 60 days after planting and significant different on dry seed weight per plot netto and 100 g dry seed. The best result of Nasa liquid organic fertilizer concentration was 3 ml/l. Atonik growth regulator concentration showed highly significant different effect on plant height 60 DAP and significant effect on plant height 45 DAP. The best Atonik concentration was 3 ml/l. There was a correlation between Nasa organic fertilizer concentration and Atonik growth regulator on plant height 45 DAP

    Effect of Organic Liquid Fertilizer and Peanut Variety on the Growth and YieldABSTRACT. The objective of this study were to investigate several varieties and liquid organic fertilizer on the growth at the yield of peanut of the tsunami affected area and also to identify the interaction between the two factors. The research was conducted at the Lamnyong river flood plain which is located at west sector of Komplek Pelajar Mahasiswa (KOPELMA) Darussalam Banda Aceh from March to Mei 2009. Randomized completely block design with two factor was used on this experiment using three replications. The first factor was peanut variety (i.e. Singa, Kuala Batee and Tangse), and the second factors was Super Bionik fertilizer concentrations (i.e. 0 cc; 0.9 cc; 1,8 cc /225cc). The variety significantly influenced the plants height on 45 days after planting, the amount of ginofore, the plant wet weight, and 100 seed weight, however the variety not significantly influenced other parameters (i.e. the amount of the branches at 45 days after planting, the total pods, and the amount of full pod). The result showed that Super Bionic concentrations not significantly influenced all parameters observed, and no interactions between the variety and the fertilizer concentration occurred on the parameters observed

    Solar Radiation Use Efficiency, Growth and Soba (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench.) Production in Ciawi BogorABSTRACT. Soba (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench) is potential alternative food source because of its chemical contents which are not so different from other main food sources. In its agronomical development, intensive and sustain research are needed to study solar radiation uses efficiencies, growth and yield of soba under different population an time planting. This research conducted from April to August 2000 at BPLP Ciawi Bogor experiment station 415 meter top of sea level, 106 51 BT and 06 38 LS. Unit of research arranged by factorial completely randomized block design. The population factor consist of 3 level : 200 plants m-2 (P1), 160 plants m-2 (P2) and 133 plants m-2 (P3), and time of planting also consist of 3 levels : on April (T1), May (T2) and June (T3). Solar radiation uses efficiency at early growth to weeks after planting was higher at high population compared to low population, but after 5 weeks of planting or when maximum efficiencies, its higher on P2 compared P3 and P1. This showed that when grain filling and maturing, it is more intensive on low population then high population, however the anova for two factors at maximum efficiencies did not showed significant differences. Growth and yield of soba is better on high population compare to low population. This because on high population the microclimate condition and water availability is more adequate then on low population. There was no significant different on 1000 grain weight caused by two factors. For total yield P1 172,1 gm-2 was highest and significantly different then P2 143,6 gm-2 and P3 123,9 g m-2. Production cause by time of planting did not showed significant different between T1 and T2 but it did on T3
